Is my GPS leading me astray? I find myself with left and right turns into a gravel parking lot with boat trailers and $1 million + waterfront dwellings. I wander a bit and find signage that I might be in the right place. Good thing the delightful Edna Elite Yelper was there to meet me! It's a sweet hidden outdoor cafe sitting on the estuary. A kind staff prepares expresso drinks and a small menu of pastries, and breakfast offerings. While waiting for our Elite partner, Cheryl, Edna and I relaxed with warm beverages and watched the parade of patrons with canine companions in tow. With our party now complete, orders of French Toast and Stuffed Crepes arrived. Our kind millennium chef with darling Princess Leia inspired hair served us. The French Toast looked outstanding. Our buckwheat crepes appeared like UPS packages, however were filled with savory meats, cheese, spinach, fluffy eggs, and more. All reasonably priced, it was a great morning start to enjoy the company of friends and a five star Yelpish meal. read more

Mosley's Cafe - Two hours of non-stop laughter with Edna and Cheryl! - Cafes Near Me - Alameda, California

Very random cafe I found by the Alameda marina. I have been looking for a unique place my friends and I to have breakfast. Found this little gem out of nowhere?! It's behind a small building by the pier. You really would not know it's here! The sign arrow doesn't mean it's upstairs but it's behind the building. The area is very beautiful views of the water, yachts and scenery. A perfect peaceful place for small group socializing. Definitely, not for large groups unless you eat at the benches by the pier walk. Many locals seem to only know about this great find. There is limited public parking so beware of that. The restaurant is very small with limited outdoor seating. They do have a heat lamp by the order desk and blankets to use on cold mornings or evenings. I loved looking over the water and the Bay Area Hills, etc. Their menu is simple but customizable which is perfect for me! I chose there cappuccino which was good and their specialty buckwheat crepes (good for two). I ordered with their extras and the price of my meal was very decent for what they give. I really enjoyed myself there and their customer service was excellent as well as very friendly. I can definitely see myself coming back but maybe, on warmer spring or summer days! Totally, recommend this place to give it a try! [4/100] read more

Just a heads-up folks - the photos of the menu posted here on yelp are old. No more crepes and omelettes. Just pastries and coffee.

Some of the best service and food we've had in a long time. They really treated us well and as human beings, and made it all amazing on a sunny afternoon. Five stars all day long. Try the tuna melt. read more

Well blow me down, I am not sure I've ever had scones this amazing. The coffee is great too. I can't wait to go back and try everything,!!! The sweet girl helping me said that the tuna melts are very popular as well. This place is a hidden gem that I want everyone to know about. Seriously the world needs these scones. And not to mention the location, right on the water watching all the boats and dog friendly!!! The very friendly gentleman that was also helping me gave my dogs some cheese after they rejected his offering of dog treats. I really don't think this place could get any better. Definitely check them out. read more

A quaint little breakfast cafe located right on the marina. I often walked by this place without even knowing it was there! If you're in a hurry or want a quick, cheap bite then this may not be the spot for you. But if you're enjoying a lazy morning and would like to sip some coffee while staring out at the bay then look no further. I personally come here for the croissant sandwiches, which you can enjoy with with ham, turkey, egg or avocado. They also have some baked goods, though I haven't tried those yet. The drinks are a bit watered down, so I don't usually get one. But if you were so inclined, they have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and even beer or wine to choose from. The service here is a little slow, but always friendly and I love to support a local business. I love taking walks down the pier with my husband and 8-month old, so why not stop by for a croissant while I'm at it? Mosley's is a great neighbor gem, and worth checking out if you have the time. read more

Came here looking for a cute outdoor patio to eat a lunch with my dog. Unfortunately the covered part of the patio is really small and many of the other tables don't have shade. Food was ok and drinks were fine. If you can get a seat at the counter height area facing the water I'm sure there's a nice view but we weren't able to on the weekend. Also if you are bringing your dog make sure they are ok around other dogs because there will be some. Staff was nice. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We ordered the large charcuterie box and OH MY GOD I'm gonna say that NO ONE does it like them!!! It was tiered so you kept finding more and more stuff to stuff your face with. This is definitely a gem of a spot. The view is gorgeous and I like the way they set up the seating so you have a row of stools facing the water directly. I had a tuna sandwich. It was a hearty, yummy sandwich and I would definitely order it again. I want to come back and try their brunch foods. They do have happy hour specials with a dollar off beer. The beers are already silly cheap costing only about five bucks a pop(coming from San Francisco that's magic) The place is dog-friendly, which is always nice getting to hang out with pups. read more

What a fantastic gem of a place! And what a fantastic gem of an owner and crew. Late this past week, we decided to have an informal little birthday gathering at a local park. We wanted to order a cheese and charcuterie board from a place we had purchased one before. Unfortunately, that business was no longer making them. I reached out to another business that makes them, but they are temporarily on a break. However, they recommended we reach out to Mosley's Cafe. The Mosley's folks didn't hesitate to say yes to us, despite the very short lead time. Even better, what they created knocked it put of the park in terms of visual appeal, generosity, and deliciousness. The boxes were filled to the brim with plentiful cheeses, fresh and dried fruit, chocolates, crackers, salami, fresh grilled sausage, homemade rosemary encrusted pork loin, and homemade banana bread. There was local honey with lavender, homemade marmalade, nuts, and all of it was topped by decorative fresh flowers and herbs. OhMyGawd. All of it was delicious, and the two-year old in the group was just as enthused as the 65-year old. They just earned my support, and I'll be back for far more than a cheese board going forward. I can't wait! read more

I was looking for a low key lunch spot that had outdoor seating. This place did just that. It sits at the end of a dock and is very tiny. You place your order at a counter and then find a seat. There aren't very many seats available. I was one of the lucky ones that had a seat. If you go right around lunch be prepared to get your lunch to go. read more

My husband and I were so excited when we came back to Mosley's after the new owner, Scott, reopened this little gem of a cafe! The menu has been updated since the reopening and the food is amazingly delicious! I usually get the tuna melt with extra pickles and extra cheese, and it is so yummy! I recently changed my "usual" order and had the grilled ham and cheese and it was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've had in a long time; it is perfectly grilled on both sides, and the cheese is melted just right! I've also had the white bean hummus with grilled veggies sandwich (it can also be made open faced on toast), and it is pretty tasty, too! While we wait for our order to be prepared, we always start with one of Scott's creatively unique homemade muffins, breads or scones (gluten free scones are available, too), with a French press coffee for my husband and drip coffee for me. We look forward to our weekly visits, enjoying the deliciousness of whatever we order, accompanied by the great, serene view, and the delightful conversations with Scott, John, and Shari! I most definitely recommend Mosley's if you've not been here since Scott reopened it in June, 2020! PS: you have to try the homemade brownies, too! And his frittatas are amazing, as well!!! read more

This is a hidden gem. Mosey's is the BEST cafe in all of Alameda. The best!! Their breakfast, lunch and coffee is so GOOD. I've had the pleasure of enjoying many items from their menu and can truly say that I've loved it all. Everything is made to order with high quality ingredients. Aside from delicious food, there is plenty of outdoor seating so you can also get to enjoy a scenic view of the harbor. I would highly recommend getting their Iced french vanilla coffee. It's phenomenal and taste like a million bucks, I would describe it as perfection. So creamy and delightful. This is a nice place to spend alone or with friends. read more

What a discovery. Beautiful little hidden cafe that especially appeals to gluten-free consumers. It was a wonderful place to grab coffee and a bite to start my day. The scenic view of the water and boats creates a relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy yourself. The Croissants are amazing. They've nailed the perfect crisp texture. Turkey sandwich was standard, but enjoyable with the view and company I had. I will definitely have to stop by again! read more

Hidden treasure on the island with wonderful views of the water, the marinas and Oakland! Cozy spot with ample small seating. Great food and original flavors that make the place feel like home. Friendly staff that was also very knowledgeable about the water front. Luckily the staff allowed me to also call their cafe home base and launch my SUP off the dock! Food and adventure! Can't wait to be back. This place reminds me of the good ole Alameda small city character from when I grew up here! read more

Scott and John run the epitome of a friendly neighborhood cafe which also happens to have amazing food and the best view in Alameda. Come early for Scott's homemade scones because they go fast. The fruit-filled oatmeal is perfect and my husband is in love with the grilled cheese. Weekend brunch with a mimosa or beer is a great way to treat yourself. The kitchen is tiny so the menu is targeted to a few mainstays, but with that view and the Insta-perfect decor it's pretty perfect. read more

My husband & I love taking a walk here for lunch. The food, drinks and atmosphere are wonderful. The owner, Scott, and staff work hard to provide fresh menu options that look and taste delicious! I absolutely love Mosley's Café. They have a great view of the Oakland estuary right near the grand Marina. The people here are so friendly and make great food. Been coming here for years and I'm so glad it's back open. I always get a tuna melt with avocado on a croissant. The croissant is buttery and flaky and a perfect complement to the fresh ingredients they use for the melt. I've always had exceptional customer service every time I come here. The kitchen is small so it usually takes a while for my food to be ready but it's worth the wait. It does get a little chilly if you sit right on the bar top next to the water but there's also some tables with seating at the nearby park if you want to sit in the sun. read more

Nice spot with lovely view, friendly ppl and my frittata was ok However what threw me off is that they charge for coffee refills!! I have been to numerous places in the bay area as I like to try new places, and that was a first for me Esp. when you order breakfast items, not only coffee! that makes me compare it to other place I just have been to where they accidently didn't add the coffee on my bill and when I pointed it out, they said "NP! let's make it on us this time" read more

This is my go to spot in Alameda. Scott the owner makes everything from scratch, with high quality ingredients and with a ton of love. Everything from amazing scones, muffins, pastries that even the Queen of England would be impressed with. :) They have breakfast and lunch eats. This such a cute local hangout! I usually come here on Sundays after my acupuncture session to retox after all that detox and chi strengthening :) . I really don't get it why people still hang out in Starbucks! These indie places have so much more soul, spunk and love! They have many vegetarian options (sweet and savory), café mochas with almond milk are delicious, great tea selection, mulled wine during the cold months, mimosas too. I wish there were more seats in the sun, but I'm usually able to score a seat when I wait a little The café is located at the end of a slip with a boathouse and has views of the Coast Guard island, kayakers and boats sliding through. Stopped in for an hour to kill time while waiting for someone. The latte was prepared right and the cherry vanilla scone was tasty. It's tucked away on the shoreline with the nearest parking being a block away, but a great cafe to stop in at if you're walking in the area. Only a couple indoor seats, but several tables outside. The tables are small due to the space limitations, but the wifi worked fine and allowed me to be productive for an hour.
