Always good to have options :P My partner and I ordered online and picked up at the door, so this is purely for the drinks since we didn't sit in. WINTER MELON MILK TEA (light ice, brown sugar boba): Not too sweet! Kind of a bummer they can't adjust sweetness, but at least it's balanced well. The wintermelon flavor is deliciously strong. The boba though... Overcooked and mushy texture with very little flavor. My partner was fine with his usual mango sago. This shop is so family friendly, it's been one of my favorite places to catch up with my mama friends. The milk teas are always good, with the oolong and jasmine being my go-tos. The Vietnamese coffees are strong and I'd recommend those over their standard coffee drinks. Mochi donuts are fresh and they have a deal every Tuesday if you happen to be there during the week. The best part is the complimentary access to their soft play area. Make sure to sign the waiver and let your little ones have some play time while you enjoy your caffeine. It's a win-win! read more

I'm not a matcha connoisseur, I just started getting into it recently. I like a matcha that's thick, creamy, and has a strong earthy taste and tomo tea house delivered. I got the strawberry Matcha and it was delicious. At first it wasn't that sweet, but the more you mix the drink together it becomes sweeter. If you are someone who likes a very sweet drink, you might want to ask them to make it extra sweet for you. They also have Vietnamese coffee and mochi donuts which I didn't get to try, but I'll be back to try it the ambience is also very kid friendly, they have a soft play area so it's great if you have a little ones. Did a mommy and daughter play date with my girlfriend at Tomo Tea House and we had the best time!! I ordered the Assam black milk tea at 50% sweetness with lite brown sugar boba. To be honest, I came in with low expectations (due to the reviews being hit or miss) but I was pleasantly surprised with my drink. I enjoyed the tea flavor and appreciated that the drink was not overly milky. Also, the boba had a good chewy consistency to it too. I got to try my friend's mochi donut and mochi corn dog and both were pretty good too. The play area, which is no extra charge, was the best for our 2 year old and 3 year old daughters. You just have to sign a waiver before allowing them to enter. Socks are required. They have a ball pit, climbing structures, slide, and bouncy animals. Our girls were able to independently play and have so much fun running around together. We hung out for around two hours! However, my daughter ended up getting sick and got mommy and daddy sick too :( I had a great experience, but we had to pay the price afterwards, so be mindful with your little ones! read more

I think the drinks were average, just a cute instagram friendly place. Dessert wise, the Dubai croffle was good. I thought it would be warmer so it gets flakier. It was a bit hard to cut through since it wasn't warm enough. Also super sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, this place is for you. Came by here with a couple of co-workers today as we waited for Mintleaf to open up at 11:30 am. There was plenty of seating available (both inside and out) and the lot has a ton of parking spots. There wasn't a line and I got my drink very quickly! They also had some good deals, including getting a mochi doughnut for just $1 with a purchase of a drink on Tuesdays (how lucky of me to end up here on a Tuesday!). The decor is beautiful! So many places to take pictures. I was looking for a hot drink, but it really is a boba spot, so I went with the classic jasmine milk tea with boba, very light ice, and 25% sugar. Also grabbed a strawberry funnel cake mochi doughnut for my co-workers. The mochi doughnut was very good and the milk tea was standard. Tomo used to be Bober and the interior is basically the same since it was Bober. This place is an introverts dream, I placed my order through the kiosk and because it was a Tuesday I was able to add a mochi donut to my each one of my drink orders. I ordered a strawberries & cream smoothie with a strawberry donut, strawberry matcha latte with a churro donut, mango sago with a churro donut, mochi corn dog with half dog and half cheese, and the Dubai chocolate croffle. My total came out to be $45.74. And a note, if you select email receipt, you'll have to click your order number for it to show you the itemized list! For someone who has never had Dubai chocolate, I loved the croffle. I didn't want something super heavy and for $10 I thought it was worth it. The mango sago didn't have any flavor at all. I actually loved the mochi corn dog, its a different texture compared to a Korean hot dog. Mochi donuts were good, I always love that their not too sweet, very light. I ordered online and everything was ready within 10 minutes - very efficient. I got 3 drinks and the dubai chocolate strawberries. The drinks were decent - the coconut sugarcane mostly tasted like coconut water though. Was hoping for more of the sugarcane taste. The dubai chocolate seemed old though. The kanafeh was soggy... and I've made it at home before and left it on the counter overnight and it was still crispy. So this one must've been DAYS old, or they didn't toast it properly? WHEN: Sun @2pm Decided to come here instead of any other cafe to work in because I decided to meet up with my sis and her lil ones and they have a play area for them. I've been here before when it was under new management, so I sort of had an idea on what to expect, and the kids loved it, and we enjoyed the drinks. Seems to be about the same, with maybe less wall decor and more dessert options. There's still mochi, but sadly no more of the Pandan Mung Bean drink I really loved. That's okay. It was quite busy but I came early enough to snag a table otherwise this place is packed with mom's and their kids going on play dates. It was already a rainy day so I can see how a place like this would be busy. You can order 2 ways: at their kiosk through a digital device near the entrance or at the counter with a breathing human staff member. Here's what my sister I ordered: HONEYDEW MILK TEA - $7.35 Fragrant floral notes of jasmine milk tea infused with light and refreshing honeydew melon. 50% sweetness is plenty and this was a nice sweet drink. PANDAN CLOUD - $6.80 Refreshing organic coconut water topped with a creamy housemade pandan cloud foam. Totally did not look like the menu photo but that's okay. I"m just concerned at how green it is haha especially compared to the honeydew milk tea. All in all I really like it here. Even if there's no seating inside, there are a few outside. Super cute boba tea and snack shop in Alameda. There is a pretty ample kids' play area (as depicted in the photo), and the decorations are very pink-y and cute. They mostly sell boba and sweet snacks (think waffles, mochi donuts, etc.). I ordered a Honey Jasmine Tea with boba, and my friend ordered some mochi donuts and a Milk Tea. My drink order was half sweet and less ice. There was no milk in mine, and I could generally taste the tea. However, I would have preferred the honey flavor to be a little stronger and for the boba itself to have more flavor. My friend's tea was actually very good, and I would consider going back for Milk Tea based drinks. Out of the donuts we had, I enjoyed the churro donut the most - a light sprinkle of cinnamon sugar was the perfect way to highlight the fried dough. I came back again, this time to try their boba. Roasted oolong milk tea, 25 sweetness, light ice: It's nutty and rich. It's still a little bit sweet but I really liked the savory roasted flavor of this drink. Mango green fruit tea: It very fruity, tropical, you can really taste the pulpy mango bits. I would recommend this one if you actually want it to taste more like the mango fruit, since I know a lot of places' mango fruit tea or milk tea doesn't taste as much like the fresh fruit itself. They also have a cute logo of three different shiba inus on it. Our drinks were overly sweet, despite ordering less sweet, and we couldn't even taste the tea so the tea quality is unclear for this price. With so many tea options, I wouldn't return here. It's decorated very nicely so it's Instagram worthy but the seats are stained and appeared dirty - I honestly didn't know where I should sit. There is a kids play area for children 10 and under. Just wanted to give out a PSA that during my last visit, Dubai Chocolate Strawberries are no longer $15 but $18 and there was a size difference. You would expect the cup to be bigger if the price goes up but the cup was actually smaller? Not entirely sure but just something my bf and I noticed. Absolutely loved my strawberry matcha! Can never go wrong with it and it never fails me. My bf got the mango green tea and it's become his go-to. I tried his as well and the taste is pretty unique except the mango bits in the drink didn't taste ripe enough, but he didn't have any problem with it. Service and ambiance were still welcoming despite us coming near closing time so appreciated that bc there'll be places that judge you for being those type of customers and trust me, I do hate being one of those customers but sometimes it can't be helped yk. read more

Went here after the electrify expo on Saturday around 4pm. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot. When we went inside I was "wow" by how much pink decor there was. The play area looked like those cat play areas, which was cute. I wanted to come to this place mainly for their mochi donuts. I was disappointed that there was only like 4 flavors when in other pictures, there is a lot more flavors. From what it looked like there was only 2 people working and they seemed tired out. It's been a while since I've been here, so we stop by today. Some tables were dirty and the place smelled weird. There were no other customers in there at the time. You place your order on a kiosk on the wall and pay. Be careful placing your order, the kiosk automatically adds a tip but you can adjust the amount, if you want. The workers do not greet you, not even a Hello. Lack of customer service but you kiosk want to add an automatic tip. I had a large Phin Salted Cream Coffee. It could have been a little bit sweeter. It was ok, but for $8.00 it needs improvement. Probably won't return, unless the drinks improve. read more

Honeydew Jasmine Milk Tea 3.5/5 I love tea flavor! However, I ordered 50% sweetness and less ice thinking that honeydew powder is normally super sweet. I got a lot of ice and less drink sadly :( I've only ever had honeydew milk tea, not honeydew "jasmine" milk tea, if that even makes a difference. However, when I got the drink after 15min with only 2 smaller orders ahead of me, I barely got a hint of honeydew and it was mostly jasmine flavor. It wasn't I was expecting at all therefore the lower score. The customer service was just a single cashier also doing the drinks and cleaning up a kids vomit in the play area. We visited Tomo Tea house(formerly named Bober and they still have a similar menu even with the new name change)on a Wednesday evening around 4:30PM. There was plenty of parking, and when we initially walked in, this place was empty. A few minutes later, a couple walked in, and a family with lots of kids. This place has adequate seating and a play area for kids 10 and under. It can get really loud with the kids playing in an enclosed store, but nonetheless really cute that this shop set up this area. We bought that the drinks and good were priced a bit higher than other places, and everything would cost extra. No ice would cost an extra $0.80, which we wanted just no ice and less drink instead, but they said they didn't do that there? Also, it seems a lot of their tea blends are already made with dairy milk, so if you're lactose intolerant, you can't switch out the milk like other boba shops. Toppings are an extra $0.85. So, it can add up quick. We specifically chose this place over Yifang(which we love) because of the seating. My friend and I have started doing craft nights, so meeting up to grab boba, bring some little crafts to do and yap has been fun. To the employees credit, they stayed open until said time and didn't seem bothered that we sat there crafting away. We ordered: [Brown sugar matcha milk tea with egg pudding. 25% sweetness, less ice] 3/5 super super sweet, at 25% sweetness. I stopped by Tomo tea house for a quick snack recently and it was a good experience. I ordered a Jasmine milk tea with crystal boba, a mango cloud with lychee jelly, and a churro flavored mochi waffle. I ordered the items online and they were ready for pick up when I arrived. The shop is nicely decorated, and has a good amount of seating. It's located in a shopping plaza, so parking was quite easy. I enjoyed the Jasmine milk tea, as it wasn't too sweet but it had a little too much ice. The churro mochi waffle was warm and tasty, and had a nice, soft texture. The prices for both items seemed alright, and they also sell different flavored mochi donuts and croffles. Overall, I'd likely stop by again if I'm craving something sweet. read more

If you're a fan of strong & sweet coffee I'd definitely recommend their egg coffee! The egg foam was THICK, probably one of the thickest egg foams I've had in the Bay Area. The Vietnamese coffee itself was also really strong, I was definitely wired after drinking this. It didn't leave a bitter after taste at all! I have come frequently to Tomo Tea House and have chosen not to after today. A staff member rudely spoke **at** me and my fellow mom-friend, telling us to pick up balls that had been tossed outside of the ball pit within the play area. I emphasize "at" because we were not even politely approached to get our attention--she had already raised her voice and was speaking in our direction from the counter. She was a few words in before I even realized she was addressing us. For context: the balls were still within the fenced play area, and we were actively making sure they stayed contained. I'm not sure if those rules were posted, but I followed that out of respect for the space. Despite that, the staff member wanted us to pick up all of the balls and return them to the ball pit. Our sons did not even throw all of them out. I can respect rules and understand this is not a daycare. The staff's role is primarily in the kitchen, and we were consistently supervising our children out of respect for the establishment. However, we also expect basic customer service and to be spoken to respectfully. Had she approached us politely, we would have complied without issue. Instead, we were spoken to as if we had done something wrong, despite already keeping the balls within the fenced area. It's also unrealistic to expect young children not to engage this way in a play space. Won't be returning. Lost two customers. Perhaps post all rules clearly, set an age limit, and have staff present at the front consistently to enforce them--especially if this is something taken seriously enough to address customers in that manner. read more

This place used to be called Bober, and, while the name changed, the inside looks the same (with the play area and everything), which means it still has nice flower walls for photos. When asked if they would put the drink in my reusable container, they said they could make the drink in a cup and pour it in. Then I asked if they would reuse the cup, and they said no, which means it would be better for the environment if I just used their cup. After learning that, I went to the kiosk and ordered an Assam Black Milk Tea with black sugar boba and light ice (because no ice wasn't an option). The drink was creamy and milky, but I couldn't really taste the tea. The boba was chewy, but I don't think the flavor was quite there. A few of the boba pieces were too big for my reusable straw. Overall, I thought this place was decent, but I was disappointed that they wouldn't accept my clean tumbler. The three electronic ordering consoles are still on the wall. I ordered: - Phin Vietnamese Coffee, $5.75, 16-oz - Mochi Donuts, 3 for $10 My coffee order was ready super fast. The gentleman serving me came out with a donut box ready to pick out my choices. All boxed up and I was on my way. The Phin Iced Coffee is very strong. Much stronger flavor than the Bober version. If you want it sweetened or add cream, you have to pay extra for add-ons. Mochi Donuts? There were six trays to choose from. I picked Churro, Cookies 'n Cream, and Cocoa. Came to TOMO Tea House a little while ago and got their mango drink. I love how you can see the mango chunks, so you know it is fresh! Drink run a bit on the sweeter side, but just adjust to your liking! When I entered the shop, there was a community event being hosted at the store with lots of kids dressed up as princesses and an Elsa actor singing for the kids. This place could be so much fun if you're there at the right time. It was 6:30p on a Saturday and I almost didn't stop because as you walked by every chair was up on the table. Apparently they were cleaning the place. Which meant the play area my daughter was so excited to use was closed for the night. One of the staff members took some chairs down for us to sit but the chemical smell from the cleaners they were using were so bad we had to leave. Very cute boba shop, a rebrand from Bober tea. I believe drinks and everything is the same, just a new name. I ordered the Strawberry Cloud less sweet, less sugery boba, etc, and it was still way too sweet. The liquid is kind of thick and tastes artificial. I'm not a fan. read more
