Yokee is one of my favorite boba shops in Oakland. My top 2 fav drinks are Grapefruit Green Tea and the Puff Cream Milk Tea. The Grapefruit Green Tea is very refreshing. Perfect for hot days. Lately, I've been getting the Puff Cream Milk Tea with boba and 50% sugar. It's creamy with an aromatic tea flavor and perfect sweetness. I love the chewiness of the boba. I love the quality of their current cups! It's simple and cute. I see a lot of people ordering the mango flavored drinks. Those look delicious and refreshing. I've been visiting this boba shop regularly to pick up drinks for my wife. It's one of her favorites, and over time one of mine as well. The quality keep us coming back. I'll be sure to capture better photos next time to do the presentation justice. Since I started coming here, the menu has undergone a few changes. Some longtime favorites have been retired ( I still miss the banana milk tea) but they've introduced new specials that continue to impress. On this visit, I tried the Cocoa Volcano Brown Sugar Boba, White Peach Oolong Tea Latte, and the Durian Coffee Latte. The Cocoa Volcano is one of our staples. The White Peach Oolong, topped with fresh cream was a standout, but not in the right cup for my preference. The Durian Coffee Latte was unique. There were a good amount of durian chunks that I ended up blending, and added a bit more coffee to suit my taste, and the result was great. Yummy Yokee! Came here on a Thursday early afternoon during my lunch and was surprised to see a bit of a crowd waiting for their drinks! I even saw people get dropped off just to go here as the street parking situation isn't the best. The place itself is super small where there is only space inside to order at the kiosk and pickup your drink from the counter. I honestly think it works because the place is more of a grab and go situation to allow more orders to go through. They had a good amount of options ranging from specialty teas to sago drinks / blended items. I got the Osmanthus Oolong Tea with cheese foam and boba. The tea flavor was strong and the cheese foam was creamy with a hint of saltiness from the cheese, but it didn't overpower the tea flavor at all. May you say I was ~ obsessed ~ with my drink. The boba itself also had a nice sweet flavor and was a bit chewy. Still remained on the softer side as I drank it. I'd love to come back and try more of their drinks! Their online menu doesn't seem to have the full menu, so if you're willing to risk the wait (which usually every time I go the wait isn't even bad...only like ~5mins max) I'd suggest ordering in person. There's little aesthetic or shop appeal, but the boba drinks are high quality and they have great toppings like QQ drinkable mochi and always-QQ boba. Boba cup sizes are on the longer side, and you truly feel like your Bay Area priced boba is worth it. There's limited parking, but I've always managed to snag street parking right in front, otherwise most other people walk here. Service is fast and kind. Their boba making station is obscured in the back, so you can't see them do their magic. Their menu always intrigues me with their variety of drinks to soothe every boba drinker's wildest desires, from durian to cheese foam. I ordered the mango pomelo sago 75% sweetness (cost $8~ which I think is pretty standard). 75% sweetness felt more like 50% but it ended up still being great because I like things less sweet and the sweetness from the mango could really stand out. There were actually mango chunks and puree. the agar boba it comes with too is also very yummy not all the pearls are standardized circle shapes so sometimes ill get a weird lumpy shapes and it's fun to chew. It felt and tastes light compared to some other agar boba I've had where it seems syrupy. I give 3 stars because I was sadden to find no sago or pomelo in my drink. I don't know if they blended the pomelo in with the drink but I definitely expected sago balls at the bottom. Usually when I order a similar drink at other places it has pomelo pulp and sago, I think they could've just forgotten to add the sago but besides that it was pretty yummy. You can order online by scanning their QR code or on the ordering machine. I ordered two drinks, both from their top 10: mango pomelo sago with 50% sugar ($7.25) and puff cream milk tea with 50% sugar ($5.35). Both drinks were really good! The mango pomelo sago was super mango-y and the mango chunks tasted very fresh. I'm not sure what puff cream is, but the milk tea had the perfect tea flavor and tasted quite creamy. Perfect for a warm day after riding around the lake, the kiddos ordered the puff cream milk tea and I ordered a lemon green tea, all with boba. So trusting my fellow Yelpers, we took the brave step to proceed and park a little down the street. I wouldn't recommend necessarily coming here at night, as there is not much around and I'm unsure of the safety in the area. When we arrived, there were two other customers standing inside the very very very(!!!) small wait area - probably more than 4 ft x 4 ft of occupiable space. To the left upon entering is a self ordering kiosk and to the right of the door is the unmanned cashier. Ordering at the kiosk is straightforward and not long after submitting my order I got my drink within probably 3 minutes. I ordered my usual Roasted Oolong Milk Tea and with Agar Boba.
