This place needs to be rated higher. Out of all the Boba places in Oakland, I've never had the most frequency of stopping by and getting a Thai Tea than here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is amazing, and I couldn't keep track of how many times I've been here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been served by the Same 3 baristas and they've always nailed specifically how I like my Thai Tea made. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Theres also a good amount of seats available if you want to dine it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Amazing place, amazing everything.

Only came here for their popcorn chicken. Easy ordering experience through the kiosk on site. This spot is honestly loads better than the T4 in Alameda. I didn't feel like they skimped on the amount of chicken here. Have to say T4 is still one of my favorite spots for popcorn chicken!

    Sooooo good!

During a hectic day at the office, I decided to door dash myself some boba tea. My order arrived quickly and it was just what I needed. I decided to try the Brown Sugar Latte with Pearls. I was a little hesitant because the sweetness could only be ordered as "standard", but it was actually perfect! Not too sweet, and not bland at all. I was also happy that I could order soy milk to be included, as I can't have too much dairy. This drink was good until the last drop - I even made sure to eat every single pearl lol! They also have snacks and I'm interested to try those all well - everything from cheese sticks to fried chicken and fries. Once I do, I was def update my review. In all, 5 stars - if you haven't tried T4, I suggest you do!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]On a weekday afternoon, there were a few people waiting in line in this T4 location that could seat around a dozen people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Similar to the other locations, this location had its signature white and blue interior decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered their Okinawa Milk Tea at half sweetness and less ice with boba, while my friend got their Mango Royal Tea. The Okinawa Milk Tea was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I enjoyed the texture of the boba. Their Mango Royal Tea was tasty & enjoyed by both me and my friend. I haven't been able to try one of the T4 locations in a while, but it is still of similar quality since last I tried!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice environment, and staff are super friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Coconut pudding is my favorite . When I visit Oakland Chinatown, I would like to stop by and order some food.

I recently visited this local boba place, and I'd describe my experience as a mixed bag. I've come here a couple of times before and each time I've found the boba flavors to be quite indistinguishable from one another. Undoubtedly, the unique charm of this place lies in the variety, but unfortunately, they all seemed to be heavy on the syrup which makes it difficult to appreciate the nuances of the individual flavors. From a taste perspective, it is quite hit-and-miss--some days I've had good boba and on others, I have been left a little disappointed. It's not that the boba is bad, but it falls short of being great. That said, I believe they could do a better job at delivering a more flavorful and distinguished boba experience. The place itself is warm and inviting enough to make a late-night run for some boba. It's not extraordinary, but it does have that cozy atmosphere I enjoy when I'm out for a casual drink. The ambiance manages to make those relishing sips of boba just a tad more enjoyable. The service was passable but there's room for improvement there. Despite everything, I'll probably be back at some point, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. This place is more like a fallback option for when those late night boba cravings kick in and Shooting Star is closed/too full.

Drink was very refreshing, foods were yummy. They were kinda busy, and they were efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like there are many seat, I could chill in the store.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

T4 Oakland is a go-to spot for delicious popcorn chicken and tasty milk tea. The flavors are great, and the prices are reasonable. I really appreciate how customizable the drinks are--you can adjust sweetness, ice levels, and toppings to your liking. Highly recommended if you're craving a solid boba and snack combo! Service was efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside has multiple tables and they are clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food was good. Boba was a little soft. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and not too busy after lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ordering machine was a little weird but functional.

Very yummy side dishes and so many delicious drinks to choose from. The service was great and the people were super friendly and welcoming. The Ambiance is cute little shop with a "Breakfast at Tiffany's " kind of theme.

Average tasting boba. I had a roasted oolong 50% sweet 100% ice. Super reasonably priced! Under $4.50 for a regular size. There was a good taste in my drink and the boba was plentiful at the bottom. Would go again!

It's such a special place, with the beautiful china and lovely outdoor seating. I really enjoy seeing people dressed up when they come here. Afternoon tea is a special occasion and you should always dress the part! What I really appreciate is how kid friendly they are. My friend and I had no idea how our kiddos would do but they absolutely enjoyed it. The Wee Tea menu is perfect for them - a choice of herbal tea (the blue flower tea a was a fun pick) or a hot Milo (Malaysian hot chocolate, complete with whipped cream and sprinkles.) My son was in heaven...and the platter hadn't even come out yet. On to the food. I did find our last visit a bit lacking in the sandwiches. I'm still giving them five stars but since I have been dining here over the years, I could see a difference and the sandwiches were skimping on the filling. One of my sardine sandwiches barely had any sardines, just the sauce. But again, that wasn't the norm so I'll just take it as a one time thing. Now back to the kids' tea, in addition to their sandwiches (my son inhaled his Kaya toast) they had butterfly marshmallows and even cotton candy cones! It was adorable. I would definitely return with my little one, but be warned that your kiddos will be loaded with sugar afterwards. What a fun experience!

The set up is very tight - we got the window table and people had to scootch into the corner, with no way out unless everyone left. The staff were nice to wait for all of our attendees prior to starting, and then they promptly took our tea orders. We had already put in our food order when we made the reservation, so they brought out the tiered plates after the tea was served. - FOOD/DRINK - I enjoyed my White Tea, but unfortunately, I don't remember what it was called. Each pair got a tower, so since we had 10 people, we got 5 towers. My favorites from our selection: - Kaya Sandwich - Umami meatfloss with basil house spread Sandwich - Curry Chicken Sandwich - Scone The desserts were a bit lackluster in my opinion. I was really looking forward to the pandan cake, but it didn't taste a lot like pandan. - OVERALL - A cute spot for afternoon tea, or if you're celebrating something! Just would recommend a smaller party for comfort!

They have an extensive menu of tea, I decided to get the black mango tea, which is indicated as high caffeine. They told me to keep it to less than 1 min steeping or else it gets oversteeped. They were prompt with coming out with my tea leaves and teapot, and gave me a towel to put your teapot on in case of spills It was bitter, but definitely has the fruity notes I was seeking. I was able to make several potfuls of tea which still had some flavor in them, so the leaves seemed to do well with re-steeping. They provided me with a kettle so I could continually reboil the water, so I felt it was decent value (since total it cost only slightly more than the average boba costs nowadays). I'm thinking I'd like to get the lychee or hojicha next time. The worker didn't mention to me if they offer milk, which I wish they did. But they do sell snacks. The bathroom is clean. They have free wifi but the day I was there, unfortunately they were having issues with the wifi. They have a 2 hour time limit on weekends, but no limit on weekdays. I appreciate that they have outdoor seating, for those who are airborne illness conscious, and also so you can enjoy nature and sunshine while having your tea. A lovely spot overall, right on San Pablo Ave so you can take the 72 bus lines to reach it.

The staff member was super helpful and friendly in recommending us different teas. We ended up picking the Yunnan Gold and Moonlight White - a black tea and a white tea. The Yunnan Gold had more of a bold flavor and smelled and tasted wonderful. The Moonlight White was much lighter but still very nice and pleasant. Each table has its own kettle so we got to brew the tea ourselves. I know tea always comes with brewing instructions but I never really paid attention to those. However, this experience made me realize the importance of brewing tea as instructed to fully enjoy the flavors and notes each tea offers. Overall, my friend and I had a great experience. This small shop is not hyped up, they don't have long lines, there's no influx of influencers trying to take advantage of getting free drinks in exchange for advertisement. Just pure locals, IYKYK. See I'm not big on overly sweet milk tea that gets washed out from the milk and has minimal tea. I love the strong tea flavors with the hint of milk just to complement the tea. I love ordering their Tieguanyin Milk Tea. It's probably one of my favorites because of the floral hints. Even as a milk tea, you can still taste the tea itself while adding a hint of sweetness. Price point wise, it's slightly cheaper than other tea shops (slightly!). I gave it 2 stars because: 1) you don't come across "healthy" "medicinal" as well as massive choices very often at boba shops and the drinks ordered didn't give me the runs and 2) the location. DRINKS: I ordered 2 of the "blended" tea drinks (aka with goji berries, longan, etc aka replenishing, tonic, etc). They tasted like nothing. Very dilute. The one with ginger...all you tasted was the ginger. The boba was disgusting... rock hard with ZERO sugar or honey coating and ZERO chew. The clear boba is actually crystal boba aka store bought aka the usual crunchy texture you get at any other boba shops that offers this topping. SERVICE: I think due to ordering unusual drinks aka drinks that are obviously not very frequently/regularly ordered, they took FOREVER. I was third in line. People ordering after me were already receiving their drinks. I was there at 1:14pm and finally left at 1:58pm (if this tells you anything). VIBEZ: Indoor seating provided. Very intimate and a tight squeeze. Located in the Oakland Chinatown near the vast plaza comprising of Bank of America, the Oakland library, etc. Can park at this plaza or street metered parking. Free street parking on Sundays. Would I come back? Heck no.
