I love this little spot. Found it randomly one day on my way to teach and got a Joco! It was so delicious, I love a milk tea and the Jasmine hit the spot. I stopped by again today before work to grab a Matcha and got it with brown sugar. It was perfect made! I also got the everything scone/biscuit, it is beyond delicious. The staff is always super friendly and the service is quick.

After dinner, we wanted something refreshing, and Tea On Piedmont definitely hit the spot. The shop has a clean, modern look with a small retail area featuring beautiful tea ceramics, pots, and even books to help improve your tea-making skills. I went with the Hōjicha iced tea, and I really enjoyed it. It was simple, well-balanced, and not overly sweet--something that's surprisingly hard to find these days with so many extravagant boba and tea spots around. A great place to unwind and enjoy a quality cup of tea.

Also known as where people take their sushi from Ebiko to eat because Ebiko doesn't have seating. It's across the street. Otherwise it's a nice place to bring your laptops and do work. Plenty of seating and window lighting. They make their tea fresh. I had to wait 10 mins one time for my oolong to be prepared. They use timers and everything! You can tell they're serious with the craft.

I usually enjoy their houjicha latte a lot! But today since they were advertising their spring seasonal flavor prickly pear, I asked for a recommendation and they recommended the prickly pear lemonade. I took their suggestion, and while the bright color is striking, I fear the flavor is just $6.50 lemonade + tip. I'll probably stick with my usual from here out

Elegant tea in Oakland! Tea of Piedmont's tea selection is great. It is clear that the tea is high quality. They all have a very dynamic flavor. The flavors are strong but not overpowering. The drinks are not incredibly sweet so it lets the earthy flavors of the teas shine. The boba was a bit hard but it wasn't much of a bother. The drinks were very pleasant! They definitely are a bit pricey (averaging around $7+). I don't believe you can adjust the size so this price is a bit steep although the quality is very good. The cafe itself is very cute. It is pretty minimalist but has a lot of seating. This seating isn't necessarily the most comfortable with wooden benches and low tables, but it fits the vibes well. The barista was super sweet and approachable. She finished the drinks super quick too. I would say the menu is a bit confusing at first because of the way that it's formatted, but after taking the time to look at it, it's not too bad. I would definitely come again!

Matcha oat w strawberry puree 6.5$ and chrysanthemum tea w honey boba yum

One of my favs. Small menu compared to most. Paid lot or paid street parking so it's def not the easiest to get in or out of but their drinks are tasty, without being too sweet. Unique enough that it keeps me coming back, friendly staff, and my fav sitting nook around. They've got seating n music going but the seating is perfect for ppl watching. My current obsession is the ::::joco latte w house made mango add on ::::: yummmers. The mango is seasonal tho but I love the strawberry too. My default is the refreshing :::: iced chrysanthemum w light honey and boba:::: sad/happy this place is outta the way for me most of the time haha

I've been here a few times and like it. I ordered the Chrysanthemum Tea and it's nice. The servers are friendly and very knowledgeable. The space has a nice, chill vibe. I'm a tea connoisseur and always enjoy looking at the creative blends and tea sets on the side wall. Just a sweet space to read, work on a laptop, or even chat with a friend.

Lots of seating available, with both inside and outside options. I ordered an iced matcha latte and didn't wait long to receive it. Lively environment where people were able to work on their laptop or catch up (they do have music playing).

A very inviting space. Well kept. Full of light. Friendly low key staff. Good selection of teas. Only complaint is they are very sloooooow.

Pedram B.

Cool spot with great service and spacious working areas. The milk tea with boba was pretty good.

Matcha latte and strawberry milk

Simple, straightforward menu with good tasting drinks. Strawberry milk is super kid friendly and tasted fresh and not too sweet. They said there signature is the hojicha latte, but I was feeling matcha (which was a fine tasting matcha latte).

The Joco Latte is decent!! Very creamy and the coconut flavor is prominent. The jasmine tea is fragrant, especially in the aftertaste! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The interior of the cafe is cute and spacious. Lots of people enjoying the vibes and studying here. Parking is rough though!

This spot caught my eye on Yelp because of the aesthetics! We stopped in for post-dinner caffeine. I was planning on getting the oolong macadamia but once I tried a sample, I wasn't too big of a fan. It tasted way too light and not enough of the roasted oolong flavor. But after having their hojicha latte, I think that's just the style here! Even the hojicha, which typically has a very strong roasted flavor, tasted very light in this drink. But overall it was a smooth and creamy drink. I think you just need to know what you're getting coming here! I did try my friend's strawberry fizzy tea though and that was very refreshing! I appreciated that they had a kids menu too. They have a nice corner spot with great lighting and I loved the section with all of the tea related merch. We found street parking easily nearby too!

And they typically have drinks out quick. Snacks are pretty good. They come out a bit later. Staff always friendly. And we typically are able to grab a table inside or outside, if we wanted to relax a bit before heading back to our car. My go to drink is the Mango Coco or Mango Creme. My son usually gets a Taro when we go out for boba at other places. But, he doesn't like the Fresh Ube here, so he gets the Strawberry Potion or Strawberry Shake. The bentos are pretty good. We got the boys boxes for lunch once. Very good portions. I love getting an order of Sesame Balls. Most snacks come out piping hot!

Parking is still not ideal since it is all metered and the Grand Lake area is usually busy. Inside, the space is bright, lively, and generally clean. I also appreciate that the menu includes photos, which makes choosing much easier. I ordered the jasmine green tea with sweet creme and really enjoyed it. The tea flavor is on the stronger side, but the creme balances it out nicely. I also ordered the spicy popcorn chicken, and it was fresh, well‑seasoned, and extra crispy just like I requested. No need for extra seasoning at all. Service was solid, and overall this visit was much better than my first. I would definitely stop by again if I am in the area and craving a snack.

The decor is clean, modern, and warm, making it a great place to study or just hang out with friends. I especially liked the kiosk ordering system--quick, efficient, and no pressure while deciding. The drink packaging is honestly next level. It feels premium and thoughtful, not just another basic cup. You can tell they care about presentation just as much as taste. And the drinks themselves? Smooth, refreshing, and high quality. Service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and fast without feeling rushed. The space was spotless, including the bathroom, which is always a big plus for me. Overall, this place nails atmosphere, quality, and convenience. I'll definitely be coming back regularly. Highly recommend if you want a chill, aesthetic tea spot.

After a few visits, the drink I'm hooked on is the Taro Milk tea + taro paste + taro balls. It's just so loaded with taro and it tastes like taro rather than taro "flavoring". I almost wish this place wasn't so good because they're pricy and addicting!

She must've misheard me when I said, oat milk, cause she started using whole milk after I ordered. I told her I have dairy sensitivities. And she said that is the only milk that she had. But this was after I paid for the drink... i've never had a problem at other locations with no other dairy options. ...there was also barely any Boba and half the drink was red bean. Very disappointed. I must've been fourth in line after a family, and three other customers were served before me. If you have dairy sensitivity, DO NOT come here. I do not recommend it. The drink took about 25-30 minutes to be prepared so don't come in a hurry!! I inserted the straw into the bottom of my cup and sucked. Nothing came out. I had to suck with more strength, due to the thick consistency of the drink. Finally, a gelatinous, slimy and sort of sweet substance came out of the tip of the straw. You do have to work for it due to the thickness of the drink, it's not liquidy. The actual matcha had a strong and smooth taste but to be honest was a little too concentrated which made it a bit astringent. This drink was truly a journey for the mouth. Usually a drink is about taste but this one was much more about tactility, or at least that's how it felt. Unfortunately the substance seemed to leave a strange metallic, unpleasant aftertaste that lasted for quite a while after finishing the drink. Texture: interesting taste:2.5 , it was new to me but i wouldn't have it again aftertaste : gross The next drink ordered was some sort of blue mango coconut concoction. Every menu item had a grandiose name so i'm not sure the exact one but it was a mango coconut slush. They white jelly substance was back and taking charge in the bottom of the drink. Along with the strange substance was a plethora of white tasteless balls. Not like traditional boba, but not bad. the flavor of the drink was good, a bit too coconuty for my liking but it was fine. The real problem was the radio of (balls + substance) : drink... way too high! i barley had any sips that had more drink then texture additives. The taste was good, but texture was off, and my stomach was not too happy after ingesting the whole thing in about 10 minutes.
