Dandelion Kaffe immediately gives off cottage core vibes, coincidentally there was a customer who came in carrying a Kiki's delivery service tote bag, which I also have lol. I ordered the honeycomb latte and it was soo good. There are other drinks I want to try like their tiramisu lattes and matcha! New coffee shop in Alameda! Located at the end of Park St with plenty of nearby plaza's to park in while you grab a drink. I was coming out of breakfast from Ole's down the street and decided to grab something for the road. Their matcha latte was actually really good, the matcha was a good consistency not too sweet and well balanced with the milk. It wasn't too busy when I came in but they also had an ordering kiosk if you don't want to wait. It was so cute and spacious inside, i'd definitely come here to catch up with a friend or do some studying/journaling. They recently took over preachers daughter and I like how they kept the vibe the same. Food menu is different but they have a few of the same drinks just different recipies ofc. Only tried the pesto foccacia and tiramisu latte so far it was great although I wished the salad was a bit more with the dressing and portion since they are a bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it! There is a self service kiosk right in the frint or you can go towards the cafe bar and order with them. Orders do take a while to come out but also worth the wait. read more

So, this is my new favorite coffee spot in Alameda. The interior is great for drinking solo, connecting with friends, getting some work done. It's so pretty. The coffee and tea selection has classic and fun options. I tried the Iced Honeycomb Latte and fell in love e with life. Also the Iced Strawberry Matcha made me so giddy. After picking up boots at The Cobbler in Hayward I still was rocking a horrendous head ache which I normally do not get. Not sure if it was from lack of coffee or sleeping weird since my right shoulder is all jacked up from the gym. Thinking its the later but was looking for coffee just in case. I drove by a couple of spots but looked like less desirable areas so moved on. Still needed the caffeine hit so stoppped in the recently opened Dandelion Kaffe. This was the Preacher's Daughter with coffee, wine, beer and spirits but no more. Just  coffee items and some food.  It's all pretty much the same,  just no alcohol. The Rockville  Bluetube amp is still by the back door busting out the tunes. There is a nice outdoor patio still and it can still get a little loud with the traffic. You can order at the counter or there is an order yourself and pay station by the front door. When I dropped in all the tables inside were occupied so that's good for business. After greasy newsomes shuting down restaurants and life over a cold/flu and destroying the restaurant economy as well as other businesses it's nice to see places opening and doing well. Nice place, local instead of the chains. Nothing really special but better than most. I'm working on my coffee with an espresso shot while writing this and it ain't working on my headache so I think its time to go and find some ibuprofen or tequila or both. Came here for a Friday lunch w a girlfriend. We ordered the Spicy Seoul Bowl x2 and Tiramisu Latte and Biscoff Latté. The Seoul Bowl was beautiful (photo attached), needed more sauce tho (was a bit dry and lacked flavor), the chicken was very ordinary. The two lattes were also nicely done, I loved the tiramisu latte and thought that every cafe in the world should have this on the menu, it was perfectly sweetened and flavors went well together. Like a dessert in a cup . My friend who loves Biscoff cookies said her latte was ok, she didn't like how the cookies had later sunk to the bottom and was soggy. Generally could use some sweeping and wiping down of tables. We had to wipe down our table. Lots of flies also near the inside front door tables where we were sitting. Overall, a bit pricey for the simple lunch ($19.99 bowl and $6.50 latte + tax + tip= $33.31) The ambiance of this place is awesome. Very cute and modern atmosphere. The kind of place you'd bring a first date to signal to them that you read books and attend poetry readings on the weekend. The Tiramisu Latte was exquisite. It takes like how you'd imagine a slice of Tiramisu would if it decided to dress up as a classy, mid-day cocktail. Not too sweet, just right. The Bulgogi Croissant was very good as well. If you're concerned about looking demure to the people around you while eating it, don't order this one because you wont. If you couldn't care less like me, it's worth an awkward side-glance and a chuckle. It looks like a lot of food but it's still pretty light. A good brunch option. Some friends and I went for brunch on MLK day, it was a little busy but we were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful day. This is a wonderful location but that's not what the issue was with; it was the wait time.... We all ordered coffee and food expecting to receive our beverages first, which unfortunately didn't happen. As we watched tables receive food that was ordered after ours were placed, we were still excited because the plating was beautiful. But sadly our food and coffee came out an hour later.. food was tasty, meat tender, kimchi was also good but only 2/4 of our meals were plated to stay and enjoy while the other 2 were packaged to go and did not have silverware. We ordered two drinks, the bulgogi croissant, and the salty/sweet toast. Strawberry Matcha Latte: 4/5 - I am not the hugest matcha connoisseur so I enjoyed the balance between the matcha and strawberry. It is not the strongest matcha but the drinks are a good addition to Alameda as we are lacking in matcha options here. Biscoff Latte: 3/5 - my husband got this drink and he said that he enjoyed it but it wasn't that special. This drink tends towards the sweet side. Salty/Sweet Toast: 3/5 - the flavors for this toast were pretty good! I enjoyed the sweet toast with the peaches, ricotta, honey, and almond. The balsamic glaze on the salty toast with the prosciutto and arugula was pleasant as well. However, I give this toast pair a 3/5 because they do not toast the bread. As a result, the hummus and ricotta made the bread kinda floppy and the texture wasn't as pleasant. Bulgogi Croissant: 3.5/5 - the seasoning for the bulgogi was really nice, there was a good balance between salty soy marinade and the gochujang sauce. The thinly cut cucumber was a good addition for texture and for cutting through the fattier meat. However, the croissant itself ran into a similar problem as the toast, as it was not toasted or not toasted a lot. I think it could have benefitted from having a more crunchy texture. Ambiance/Decor: 5/5 - the decor here was really aesthetic! I really enjoyed the plants all over and the paintings/art hung on the wall. read more

I went with the spicy chicken bowl -- absolutely delicious! The chicken was moist and tender, with just the right balance of spice and a touch of sweetness. The bowl was packed with fresh avocado, kimchi corn, and a colorful variety of vegetables. The space has been recently refreshed inside, giving it a brighter, more inviting feel. Cute, quaint, and aesthetically pleasing cafe down on Park, a busy street in Alameda. The menu goes beyond basics when it comes to coffees, so expect to have plenty of options when you come along. This is a great place to do work as well as chit-chatting with friends. I tried the tiramisu latte (it comes with a lady finger cookie!) and was able to sit around and get some work done with no issues with the wifi here during a 2 hour span. The high ceilings and the natural light, along with the beautiful green colors throughout really set a nice tone for productivity. I really wanted to like this place because of all the great reviews, but the experience fell flat for me. When you walk in, there's no one to greet you, say hello, or even acknowledge you. Instead, you're met with an electronic self-order kiosk that feels more like checking in at an airport than entering a café. That might work for some people, but it definitely kills any sense of warmth or hospitality. If you're looking for a friendly, human experience, this isn't it. The staff in the back seemed busy and focused on calling out orders, but no one ever made eye contact or said "welcome" or "we'll be right with you." They serve unique breakfast dishes and tons of fancy coffee, tea and matcha drinks. I ordered a Dirty Ube, an iced coffee, ube-flavored thing. My son ordered the Ube Latte which has no caffeine. My friend (who is somewhat famous in these parts) ordered the Forest Matcha. For brunch we ordered two bagel plates which come with cream cheese, bacon, eggs, avocado and salad, and the Fired Benedict on a croissant. And the Fired Benedict sauce...oh the sauce! Dandelion Kaffe opened down the street for me and I was over the moon when I found out they served matcha! This review will be for their drinks and service only as I haven't yet tried their food. I have tried their Guava Matcha, Double Matcha, Matcha Einspanner, Biscoff Latte, Dirty Ube and Honeycomb latte. Here's my ratings: Guava Match: 7/10 super yummy and if you are a big fan of guava you will really like this! I like guava but I don't think I loved this drink to order again! Still very good! Double Matcha: 8.5/10 Very good and creamy! I enjoyed this and would order it again! Matcha Einspanner: 6/10 Never had an Einspanner before and it was very creamy but not as much matcha as their other drinks. Wouldn't order again. Biscoff Latte: 8/10 yummy and definitely could taste the cookie butter. I like how there aren't clumps of cookie butter on the bottom. The flavor is throughout the drink! Honeycomb Latte: 9/10 Super delish and I like how it's not overwhelmingly sweet! I think the honeycomb bits on top could be smaller but I could see how some people might like larger chunks! Would order this again! Dirty UBE: 9/10 This drink is SO good! Make sure to stir so you can get the coffee flavor and the UBE flavor throughout. Would get this again! I plan on giving their strawberry matcha and matcha cloud a try soon! Will update :) The food personally doesn't appeal to me but this doesn't mean it isn't good. The flavor profiles just aren't something I think I would enjoy but if I were to order anything it would be the jalapeño cheddar breakfast croissant! Hope this cafe sticks around! This cafe on Patk St. is still in the soft-opening phase, but they've made a great start! We stopped in for lunch today. The staff is very sweet and the space is lovely. I ordered a matcha latte but they also had given me an extra strawberry matcha latte. Both drinks were yummy! As an avid matcha latte fan, I enjoyed the matcha here. I got it regular sweetness with whole milk. I'm assuming the strawberry matcha latte was regular sweetness with whole milk as well. My boyfriend had the strawberry matcha and he enjoyed it even when he isn't into matcha as much as I am. He specifically said the strawberry puree in it was really good. Even after having the strawberry matcha latte made accidentally, the barista walked across the cafe to hand me my matcha for me. Not sure if I didn't hear my order being called out since I was all the way across the cafe but he was very nice and also said to let him know if we liked the strawberry matcha as well.
