Just casually walked in for lunch and was surprised that we're back pizza offered pizza by the slice. It was my First time having pizza by the slice in Orange! I had the gramma slice, it was absolutely delicious. It's a family owned restaurant with a beautiful story. You definitely get that feel when you walk in. There is a good amount of seating, fountain and bottled drinks, and service is amazing. Would definitely stop by again for a slice. Also, parking is a breeze

Perfection ! Guys this is whats called a Pizzeria , the real deal- real mccoy. Bufalo chicken, meatlovers, peperoni, mushroom, sausage and plain slice, come on guys pizza by the slice is the only to go. You can find good Apizza anywhere in conn, you also find good ny style pizza all over but real sicilian pizza ( square pies) very few places. Why buy a pie when you can sample every one order 3 of your favorites or request any topping. But the star is the sicilian pizza. When you a crave a different type of pizza or change try it But warning it may end up being your favorite style of pizza.

    Bottom of the cheese perfect

This is one of my favorite pizza places. I highly recommend the special which has everything you would want on any pizza. Meatball sausage onion peppers pepperoni. Delicious. I drive from Branford to the West Haven:Orange line their cheese pizza is also delicious. Love the casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and it's brought to your table. If you order soda it's unlimited you fill up yourself and the drinks are Foxon Park. Definitely returning here

I stopped in on Sunday just for a couple of slices. I love when pizza establishments offer pizza by the slice. The lady at the counter was very polite, she explained what each pizza option was, and what the toppings included. I went for two cheese slices. This is a very casual spot with seating. A decent size for a larger group. Very accessible. And, ample parking. I only tried the pizza, but they have a very extensive menu. And because the pizza was good, I may try some other items from the menu in the future. If you're in the mood for pizza, but you don't want to buy an entire pie or you want to sample a variety of slices, I highly recommend.

    Tiny little gluten-free pizza.

Went for my first time last week. Enjoyed the pizza. I got a few different slices as well as a grinder. The bread is nice and crusty.

Kwok has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. Some of the other restaurants he has opened include Sweet Basil in Fairfield, Pink Sumo Sushi & Sake Cafe in Westport, and Eat Noodle in Bridgeport. Kwok and Nguyen's latest venture opened at the Connecticut Post Mall in a restaurant space that was previously home to Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar, which specialized in tavern-style pizzas cooked in a cast-iron skillet. 8 Thousand Pizza offers this same style of pizza, but what sets them apart from the previous pizzeria is that they also offer self-pouring technology, which became legalized in Connecticut in 2021. The food menu features two dozen tavern-style pizzas as well as burgers, wings, fries, salads and soups. Through the use of a supplied electronic bracelet, customers can self-pour their own beverage from a selection of 28 craft beer taps and 6 wine taps. There's a two-pint or 32-ounce limit for the self-pours. I recently visited 8 Thousand Pizza for dinner. I had previously visited the space when it was Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar and was sad to hear that they moved. However, this new business concept of a tavern-style pizzeria with self-pouring taps sounded very interesting to me. This was actually my first visit to a self-pouring taproom, as these types of establishments only just began opening in the state in the last few years. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Grandma's Tomato Pizza" (fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, roasted garlic, tomatoes and EVOO) and the "Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza" (tomato sauce, pepperoni, hot honey sauce and mozzarella cheese). The latter happens to be 8 Thousand's signature pizza. Both pizzas had crust so thin that it's almost cracker like; they didn't flop at all. They were super crispy with excellent sauce and toppings. I honestly can't decide which one I liked better; they were both very good. During my visit, I enjoyed some self-pours of Grey Sail Brewing's "Captain's Daughter" (Double New England IPA) and New Park Brewing's "Cloudscape" (American IPA). Delicious pizza with craft beer is always an excellent pairing! I had a really nice experience at 8 Thousand Pizza and I hope to return with my family.

Once seated they will come and take your order. We ordered the small pie sampler (comes out to about $50 if you order speciality pies): clam pie, a marinara pie with mozzarella, and the Calabrese. All of them were very good, but that Calabrese was excellent, especially if you like a little spice. Our server was kind, efficient, and the food came out in about 20 minutes. We waited in line 20-30 minutes, but it flew by as we chatted away. Once we were seated, service was quick and friendly. The menu isn't super extensive in terms of appetizers (they have two salads and a burrata); the main attraction is pizza! So pizza it was. All pizzas are offered in a small (12''), medium, and large size. I ordered a small Calabrese and it was plenty. The pie was slightly bigger than 12'' and at first I thought I'd eat it all because it's thin crust. Negative. I ate half of it and was stuffed. My pizza had pieces of flat sausage, (little) pepperoni, and Calabrian peppers, which were definitely on the spicy side. As for the toppings, I appreciated that they didn't skimp out on them, which was the same for my other friends' own pies. Frank Pepe has two locations next to each other. One is their original building, which is usually for Yale-out only, though they have limited seating (you have to be ushered in from the line that forms at the main building). One nice thing about Frank Pepe is they have two parking lots, which is nice since there's not a ton of street parking. Overall, super glad we came here. I'd visit again!!
