They were rolls in a clear soft wrapper and not what I was looking for. My server acknowledged that other people have made the same mistake. I didn't like the quantity or quality of the shrimp. I ate about half of one of the rolls and left them on the table. My sweet and sour chicken as well as the hot and sour soup were delicious! The rice was hot and fluffy. The sweet and sour sauce was served on the side so you could easily dip the chicken. Most of the pieces were easily cut with a fork, but a knife would have been helpful for a few of the chicken pieces. Rather than Asian music playing there was "modern music". It seemed that Happy Wok is positioning themselves as a minimally decorated, carry-out restaurant. There is seating inside, but I miss the cozy Asian-themed decor of the old restaurant. The food was enjoyable, the service was good, and the pricing reasonable. I'll likely visit again sometime for lunch, but it's not the kind of place I'd take my wife to for a date night dinner.

We ordered Lettuce wraps- spicy, some kind of noodle dish- again spicy, and veggie spring rolls. First off- NO Lettuce for my lettuce wraps!!! Tried to call them 3 times & no one answered. Everything was tasteless.... plus they use MSG in everything! I wish these cooks knew how to make food that actually had flavor & tasted good without the need to add MSG. We asked for spicy & got some jalapenos. The lettuce wraps (minus the lettuce that I didn't get) was the weirdest I have ever seen. Ground chicken with a few sliced red bells peppers & 3 jalapenos... that's it! I do not reccommend the wraps, nor the crispy noodle chicken dish my husband got. We keep trying this place out because we are so limited with good asian food (or any asian food) in these parts & we keep being dissappointed... 3 strikes & we are out. We won't be back. Plus the hostess/waitress never said a word to me- no "Thank you" or anything... and that's a huge NO for me.

We had walked past it a few times in the past and had been wanting to try it out. The restaurant is small and non-assuming, but don't let that fool you. We opted for lunch with a couple friends and were not disappointed. Our server Mack greeted us as we arrived and quickly got us seated with menus and waters. I had heard that the Kao Soi was supposed to be really good, so I opted for that. My wife had her usual Pad Thai with chicken, our friends had Pad Krapow with pork and chicken Basil Fried Rice. Living in Thailand for 6 years as a kid, I pretty much know good Thai food, and I can tell you that all 4 dishes hit the mark. I tried tastes from all 4 dishes. The Pad Thai was served with crushed peanuts and a big slice of lime and was very flavorful, had the right amount of sauce, but probably could have used just a tad less sugar and a few more pieces of meat. The Basil Fried Rice was delicious. It had that "wok-fired" street food taste and was served with some sliced cucumber and a slice of lime. The only thing I would change is to leave the broccoli out. You don't typically see that in Thailand. The Pad Krapow had a spot-on taste associated with good Pad Krapow and did not disappoint. The only suggestion is to be sure and order it with a fried egg to make it more authentic. Last but certainly not least was my Kao Soi. Only recently becoming more popular here in the US, it is an egg noodle curry soup dish that originates from northern Thailand. I have had Kao Soi in restaurants in Chiang Mai, and I can tell you that JaiWai hit every mark with this one! Most impressive was the plate of condiments. It included a lime wedge for a little acidity to help brighten the flavor of the broth, chopped shallots for some freshness, and pickled mustard greens that really make a difference! They are tart and crunchy and help counter the richness of the broth, a component that's very important in Thai cuisine. And lastly, fried chili flakes. This is optional for those who want to add some heat to their bowl, but for me it is mandatory. I like my Thai food hot and spicy. The only suggestion I have for the Kao Soi is maybe top it with slightly less fried noodles. They were welcome, but just a tad difficult to mix them into the soup because of the amount. Mack did an amazing job serving us. He was very friendly and took the time to confirm our orders. So I highly recommend JaiWai and we will be making it our go to Thai place in Georgetown. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Overall - 10/10

The service was…read moregreat, the food came out fresh and flavorful, and everything we ordered was something I'd happily get again. We had the yellow curry with tofu, pad Thai with tofu, and the papaya salad -- all were delicious. One thing worth mentioning: we ordered spice level 1 out of 5, and it still had a solid kick. Definitely enough heat to keep you reaching for the next bite without being overwhelming. They also brought out complimentary egg rolls and wontons as appetizers, which was a nice surprise and a great way to start the meal. The restaurant itself is very casual with a simple, no-frills atmosphere that seems mainly focused on to-go orders rather than dine-in ambiance. That said, the food and friendly service were definitely the stars of the experience. Overall, really enjoyable dinner and I'm looking forward to coming back.

As we were walking to our table, my feet were slipping as if there was grease on the floor in the front of the restaurant as well. It kind of made me feel like I was at a Jack in the Box at 2 AM. Our server was very kind and attentive; however, the place overall did not look very well kept together or clean. I would say, on a cleanliness scale, it was a 3 out of 10. I don't recommend this place. The food was truly not that good for the price at all. I ordered four dishes and four drinks, and my total was $77.33, not including a tip. My husband and I both agreed that if we would've gone to Panda Express, we would've enjoyed it more for half the price. If you would like to sit down and enjoy Chinese food in a restaurant, as this one is advertising, I'd highly recommend going to Hunan Lion in Round Rock, Texas. We recently moved from Round Rock to Jarrell, so we were trying to stay closer to home, but never again will I eat here. I'll definitely be making the trip to Round Rock every single time I want Chinese food.

During the course of a month, I have eating their food about a half a dozen times, and I was never disappointed. They were all fresh and tasty! The Pho Tai bowl was packaged with care, and came with a side of neatly wrapped, very aromatic large fresh mint leaves as well as fresh cilantro on the stem so I could add them to my liking right into the bowl. That extra touch really stood out. The broth was simple but very flavorful and comforting. The meat was cooked lean and just right. The noodles were perfect and not soggy. The egg rolls were crisp and satisfying, and the fried rice was well cooked and full of flavor without feeling heavy. You could really taste and see the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I would absolutely order again. Great food, great flavors, great packaging, fresh produce and everything arrived hot and ready to enjoy. It truly hit the spot.

I had a large hot and sour soup and an order of four vegetable egg rolls. The soup was good but I was disappointed there were no little chunks of pork in it. The egg rolls were the worst I've ever tried to eat, after requesting soy sauce and hot mustard, which should've accompanied this dish. They were previously frozen and gooey inside. Just awful. The beef was tender and the onions were cooked perfectly in my Mongolian beef, but there was barely any sauce. Same with my wife's dish: very little sauce. Neither dish had much flavor. My Mongolian beef was supposed to be spicy. There were three peppers on my plate, but it wasn't spicy at all. I had to drench everything with hot oil. The hot tea was too weak to drink.
