Came here with my 84 year old mother. My mom doesn't eat rice and always complains when we go to any sort of spanish restaurant. Anyway, I ordered the 1/2 chicken with chaufa rice and maduros. Mom ordered a mix of fish, shrimp, clams, calamari with yuca. All I heard during the meal was, " Wow, oh wow this is delicious". We had such an awesome and delicious dinner here! Really, this was the best Peruvian food I ever had. We were a fairly large group, so we got to try a lot of the menu. We started with the ceviche, which was insanely good. The chunks of fish were pretty large, and the portion was quite big too. We also got the Chino-Latino fried rice dish Chaufa with sausage, which really hit the spot. We also got the rotisserie chicken, Aji de Gallina, and the Lomo Saltado, and everything was so delicious. The restaurant's spicy sauce was also a great complement to the flavors of each dish. We finished the night with a delicious slice of Tres Leches cake. The wonderful staff made this dinner even better. They were very kind in explaining the menu to us, and the overall ambiance of this restaurant was splendid--not too crammed together but still cozy. It is surprising difficult to find good Peruvian food, I think this is one of the best Peruvian spots I've had in NY. Everything was delicious, the only disappointment I had was that there were no pisco sours because of a liquor license issue. They also ran out of Lucuma ice cream. read more

Oh my God Warique Garden was an awesome experience. It's a cute spot with amazing decor and the staff is super friendly which makes the experience that much better . They also have an outside area where you can enjoy your food. We had the half chicken with plantains and rice which was delicious especially when you add the green sauce . I ordered through Uber Eats, and they put the wrong order in my bag. The receipt still had my name and order, but inside was someone else's order entirely, which I was allergic to. I called to ask if they could correct my order. First, they just left me on the line for 3 minutes after saying "excuse me." When I hung up and called again, they blamed the delivery guy, lied, and argued, barely letting me get in a word. I politely explained that there was an honest mistake that they stapled my Uber Eats receipt onto someone else's order. They refused to admit that they made a mistake, and kept making this ridiculous claim that it was the delivery man's fault -- that the delivery man somehow "switched the receipts" stapled on the bags to cover up that he accidentally delivered the wrong order. Not only is that a lie, it also a bad one that makes no sense. How could a delivery guy remove, switch, and restaple receipts on orders that he already delivered? It left such a bitter taste in my mouth that they would try to blame the delivery guy instead of just admitting that they packaged and labeled the wrong order. They refused to re-send my correct order because they wanted the Uber Eats delivery guy fix their mistake by biking back and forth to switch my order with the other customer's order. The food is good, which is why I order from there. But I will never order from a place run by dishonest people who are willing to throw other people under the bus. I can't believe they tried to blame the Uber Eats delivery person with a lie that made no sense, and then they had the audacity to argue with me about it, after I had already said that it was okay. It was okay since it was their honest mistake, but I still wanted my actual order because I was allergic to the order that I received. Now I am hungry :( read more

As a Peruvian I have a high standards when it comes to Peruvian cuisine which is known internationally and I was happily surprised that Warique did not disappoint me. We came on a Sunday and had brunch. The place is super cozy and nicely decorated as well as super cleaned. We ordered the chicken tamales that were delicious, Lomo Saltado, empanada, chicken fried rice (chaufa), picarones and of course a pitcher of chicha ( purple corn drink non-alcoholic). Everything was delicious and the service was incredible. Our waitress Daniela was super pleasant, patient and kept on checking on us. There was another waiter or perhaps the manager who was very welcoming and brought us a second serving of complimentary roasted corn (canchita). So please do your self a favor and venture out to East Williamsburg to enjoy real delicious Peruvian food. In my humble opinion, this restaurant is ten times better than Llama Inn. read more

I'm a huge fan of Warique Garden. The restaurant itself has a really nice design. The block they are on closes once or twice a week for Open Streets and I have to imagine they have outside seating then. The food itself is great. The portions are substantial and overall the cost is reasonable when you factor that in. I've had a few things that I'd recommend - Pescado a lo macho, Pescado Warique, and Jalea (I like seafood). The ceviche is pretty good as well. Overall, I would recommend checking them out. read more
