My first time visiting here after hearing so much about it and I was not disappointed! Food was delicious, with good portions and reasonably priced for the quality. Service was so kind, we came for brunch and they were able to squeeze us in. The place is soooo cute with natural lighting, good amount of space and overall good vibes!!
Happy Birthday Baby. I took my husband here for a romantic birthday dinner, and I absolutely fell in love with the space. It's much bigger than the pictures make it seem, but still just the right size for an intimate dining experience. I was a bit bummed that we couldn't try the sangria, or a few other drinks I had hoped to order. They also don't offer mixed margaritas or mojitos, which was unfortunate. Despite that, I decided to go with my usual favorite, Jameson and Ginger Ale. My husband went for a Caipirinha, which was a bit too strong for my taste. We started with the empanadas: one with Gruyère, fontina cheese, and onions, and another with free-range chicken, onions, and peppers. While my husband enjoyed the cheese empanada, we both agreed the chicken empanada was the real star. Definitely something to write home about! So good, in fact, that we ended up ordering a second round of the chicken empanadas to take home. For the entrée, we both had the Churrasco. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The green salad was a nice balance with just the right amount of saltiness, and the duck fat potatoes were crispy. We'd never had duck fat potatoes before, so we couldn't really tell if they had a unique taste, but we appreciated the crispiness. Still, we probably could've done without them and just stuck to the steak and salad. I asked the waitress to surprise my hubby with a birthday dessert. I ended up choosing the Alfajor Rustico since they didn't offer traditional options like cake. The dessert featured dulce de leche, chocolate ganache, sea salt caramelized walnuts, all sandwiched between two crisp homemade cookies. Unfortunately, I wasn't particularly impressed. We've had better versions of this dessert. I wouldn't order it again. Overall, it was a lovely experience. The space was perfect for a special evening, the food was mostly great, and despite a few drink limitations, we had a memorable and enjoyable dinner.
Delicious and unexpected menu with cool interior and a great happy hour deal. Definitely coming back after a lovely Monday evening happy hour. Their cocktails were reasonably priced and a decent cabernet as well as a tasty port to finish, their bar was really doing a great service. The food was really tasty and worth going back for just the steak. I had the full branzino, which was SO tasty and had the best potatoes I think I've had at a restaurant. The fish was so perfectly seared and it wasn't too hard to navigate the bones! The steak as luscious as well as cooked to a perfect medium rare. The sauce was an excellent pairing. We splits the hot seafood and potato appetizer, which I found quite delectable, and had a lots of tasty squid and octopus bites! The dessert, definitely worth. That chocolate cake was incredible. Chocolatey, rich, perfect with the port - if you haven't figured it out by now, come for steak and cake with some port. Excellent spot through and through and will be taking friends and family here again.

The portions are a good size and the drinks are delicious. The service is also exceptional. We went for brunch to celebrate our anniversary and the staff were extremely attentive without being intrusive, friendly and elevate the overall experience. This spot has definitely become a favorite! Meals photographed (Brunch): Churrasco a caballo x2, torta de chocolate negro (partially eaten). The drinks we had that weren't all shown were mimosa, Hendricks, champagne, and coffee. (Dinner from previous visit): Mejillones a la provenzal, Churrasco x2, Alfajor Rústico. The drinks we had were La Sombra and Hendricks. The next meals I would like to try are: Croston con Morcilla, Farro Salad, Chivito Completo and Caserola de pulpo & habas.
I almost want to gatekeep this restaurant but seeing how its a chain! Damn, oh my god the news is probably already out. Honestly one of the best meals i've had in nyc and such a good value too. The ribeye steak for under $40?? I've never had a steak that good in the US for that cheap WTF you also have to get the cheese empanada!!
What a lovely place! The food was incredible--both the Chicken Milanese and the steak were some of the best I've had in the city. The Chicken Milanese was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor. The service was just as impressive. The wait staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. It really added to the warm and welcoming vibe of the place. The ambiance was cozy yet vibrant, with a relaxed, intimate feel that made it perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. A real hidden gem!
Super warm and cozy spot in Bushwick, love the vibes. Cocktails were pretty good, I especially liked the Verde which tasted like a green juice mixed with some alcohol. Appetizers are delicious, I liked the octopus. For mains, I went with the Uruguayan sandwich which was super filling but a bit salty. Great if you're looking for comfort food. The seating can be a little cramped but the service is above average. Would recommend if you're in the area but wouldn't travel to come here.
We can in pretty close to closing time for a late night bite because I was FAMISHED. They people were so very kind to allow us to sit and enjoy our meal even though they were doing last call for the kitchen. That was awesome. Thumbs up for not be ing pushy as well. They really let us relax. The vibes were immaculate with low amber lights and calming music (bossa nova) overall, it was a nice and relaxing experience at the end of the day.
Came here with 2 friends the steak here is on point! Perfectly cooked, seasoned and juicy. We didn't order the healthiest food but it sure was delicious. If you want a good red meat dish come here. The servers were very nice and the restaurant looks inviting inside. I'm happy they expanded to this new location and I wish them luck will continue to support.
So this was an interesting experience. Our server was really friendly. We got there just before happy hour was ending. She left us know this so we could put a drink order in which we did. The cocktails were really good. I had the Verde which I think is one of their signature drinks and it was tasty. For the food two of us shared two different empanadas. The beef and olive one was good the cheese and onion one was really good. One of my friends got the Chicken Milanesa, my other friend and I shared the Chicken Milanese as well as the Chivito Completo which is the sandwich pictured with the fries. The Chicken Milanesa was delish, but it was slightly underwhelming in a few ways. It came with a Dijon mustard sauce which was good but there needed to be way more of it. The sweet potato chips were homemade and really good. The salad that came with the chicken was fresh and a nice touch but the dressing again was scarce. I also feel like the salad should have had the like a mustard vinaigrette cause it would have tied in with the chicken so much more. Everything was tasty but didn't tie in to each other. The cutting board plate was very cute. Now I'd like to talk about the Chivito Completo. I took the description directly from their website because I didn't want to forget any of the 11 items on the sandwich. "Traditional Uruguayan grass-fed filet mignon sandwich, fried organic egg, bacon, Provolone, black forest ham, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, bibb lettuce, beefsteak tomato, Spanish olives, aioli, fries." It was just too many things on one sandwich. I didn't understand the sandwich at all and nothing really tied it all together flavor wise either. I also think there wasn't bacon on ours, but with all those items I couldn't really tell. Again, the sandwich wasn't bad tasting, per se, but it confused me and my friends and really didn't taste good either. I know this is a long review, but like we loved the vibe at this place and the staff was really friendly. The flavors were like so close but everything needed something more, in our opinions, to really push it over into being amazing. Giving it a 3 just because every dish really did come so close, but just feel short.
Been here 6 times now and food is always amazing .Service was amazing when Lucas served us there ,other times service could be a bit better . This is my current favorite restaurant. Prices are amazing for the quality and portions of the food . Drinks are good and couldn't ask for better more flavorful food . The brunch is also exceptional and the vibes and ambience are always great .

It's a good spot, but as a foodie I can't rave about the food.... 1) croquetas were the best imo! Super tasty (very salty) but really good 2) the empanadas were ok... very dry and just missing flavor. 3) milanesa- didn't love the sweet potatoes, thought theyd be fries but they were just stale chips, the milanesa was a bit overcooked but very tasty, and the salad is ok. Nothing special. 4) papperdelle pasta was by far the best. But not insane. The ambiance is the true winner- super cool vibe and beautiful for a first date! Service was good too but nothing special. Hope to revisit and have a different experience read more

Dimly lit wooden fixtures brings a very intimate dinner. Cocktails were splendid! We were a big group and ordered a handful of empanadas to start. They were stuffed with a great crispy flavorful shell. The kale salad was a take to a Ceasar salad. You can taste the bits of anchoives which wasn't overly salty. My sister had the burger that had flavorful juices leak through the bread. Definitely had to grab a bite. My wide and I split their sampler of meats on a sizzling plate. Cant remember the name of the dish. The blood sausage was great. And the various meats was unbelievable. My daughter had the ravioli that was perfectly cooked with a refreshing lightly acidic sauce. Everything we had was phenomenal! I came with a reservation for a weeknight dinner since we had a large group. The cocktails were all delicious; I particularly enjoyed the Verde. The Kale Caesar is a must-have; it was honestly the best Caesar salad I have ever had. The pate was another delicious starter. I shared the mixed grill for two and it was definitely a great value, with chicken, steak, ribs, sausage, and blood sausage. Overall I would definitely come back! read more

The ribeye was very reasonably priced and cooked a perfect medium rare. The roasted potatoes were fried in duck fat and had a nice crunch and great taste. The salad was very basic but added a nice contrast with the heavier steak and potatoes. The flan was very rich and the caramel sauce was good. I was well serviced with waiters coming around to check on me and refill my water. The restaurant was super dark with candelit tables. read more
I think this is my new favorite restaurant. Love the dim, buzzy ambiance, and service from start to finish was spectacular. Shared some pate and the queso to start. I'll probably skip on the queso next time and get another order of pate lol it was that good. Each of us had our own mains - I got the ribeye special. It was a bit too done even though I asked for medium rare. But it was still juicy and flavorful. The whole branzino was also delicious - perfectly charred on the outside and moist inside. I loved their wide selection of cocktails and wine. My sister tried one of their mocktails and she said she enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back! read more
The reviews convinced me to give this restaurant a try on New Year's Day. I'm sorry to say, it was a bit hit & miss. The place is cozy but could use a slight refresh. The food was all good quality, that much was apparent. We liked the churrasco and it was a generous piece for the price. The kale salad just tasted like cream and anchovy. It needed some lemon or acidity, some black pepper and a bit more flavor. The mushroom pasta was probably the highlight with nice fresh pasta's chewy texture and great truffle sauce. The octopus casserole was disappointing. You could not tell that the octopus was grilled at all. The whole dish just tasted mushy and too fishy if I'm honest. We left half, it wasn't a table favorite. The empanadas were very solid but, coming from Latin America, I mean Miami, I've had better. No bold flavors but good quality fillings nonetheless. read more

We're back in the hood. I shoot over for a meal. Early dinner My friend Facundo greets me like a long lost friend. This place has a hip vibe and look He recommends a red Uruguayan wine Garson. It's absolutely delicious he even brings over a bucket to chill it. Wow! I insist he joins me for a toast, which he reluctantly does... He also recommends the Uruguayan ribeye. With greens and roasted potatoes It's brought over immediately and folks it's like butter. Medium well done Amazing stuff. It's pouring out and I'm sitting upfront at the open sliding door!! I had high hopes but it was pretty average food. The steak was on the cooler side. The salad needed a little vinegar. The white aioli was delicious. The Chivito was a bit too one note. Lots of grease, no flavors to cut all that oil. A pepper or pickle would have worked wonders. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner yesterday before a show nearby & had a really great meal! Wish I had taken more (read: better) photos of everything, but our table of three shared so many items we really enjoyed. We started sharing the Lemon Kale salad (tasty & salty in nice way with anchovies) which paired well with the Octopus casserole (deliciously grilled w/ soft lima beans). We also really enjoyed the empanadas (kale/corn + cheese/onions) and ended up getting a second order since they were on the smaller side. For dinner we shared the Pollo Milanese, the Chivito, and a gnocchi house special. The chicken was my favorite-- perfectly crispy, with a nice tang from the mustard, and well complimented by the mild sweet potato chips/salad. I really enjoyed both the gnocchi & my bite of the chivito but the chicken is what I'd really come back for. Also delicious was our dessert at the end, whose name escapes me in this moment. It was creamy and chocolatey with a toffee-like crunch and was great with the espresso I had. Service was fast and attentive, and I really enjoyed how intimate & cozy the place felt. **Important to note~ CASH ONLY** Great food. Great prixe fix menu. Cozy interior. Kind staff. The quality of the food here is great! They have good happy hour deals and good brunch deals. I got a sandwich with steak in it and my dining partner got a skirt steak. The presentation/plating was weird. My sandwich was plated in a bowl with fries under it so the fries got incredible soggy from the heat and grease from my sandwich. My dining partner's steak was presented on a cutting board which we didn't think was very sanitary. The quality of food was great. Everything was tasty and well portioned. Will be back! read more

What a pleasant surprise! I only had Uruguayan food a few times in my life and I remember how much I enjoyed it. Tabaré held up to every expectation. First of all the atmosphere was cozy, eclectic and romantic. We ordered an excellent wine the El Enemico. My Argentine girlfriend wanted to try one of the assortments of empanadas so we picked the kale and corn which I never had before and it was simply delicious. She wanted an octopus dish (see photo) which was so uniquely different and juicy. We split the Civito Completo which I would select over a hamburger any day. It's a grass-fed filet mignon sandwich with a fried egg, bacon, provolone, ham and other tasty additions. Loved it! Finishing our wine we had the Dulce De Leche Flan for dessert. Also the waiters were so pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is not close to where we live, but it's definitely worth the trip. We shall return! read more

This Brooklyn beauty serves American/Uruguayan food! We came for brunch and the ambiance was immaculate - lighting, plants, decor.They also had pretty tasty food with a great pre fix menu ($20 for a drink and entree). It's cash or Amex only but there's an atm next door** Out of the empanadas, I got the Gruyère one and chicken one. Definitely try the Gruyère with caramelized onions - it had a perfect cheese pull and the flavors were great! The chicken empanada was also good but nothing outstanding. We also ordered the Tabaré steak burgers! The meat was cooked very well but it seemed like an "elevated deli burger." Delicious nonetheless as described my fellow eaters! If ever in Bushwick, I would stop by here again! read more
