My friends and I met up for brunch here last December. We wanted to meet as a pre-holiday gathering. The place was located in Long Island City. Since my friends and I all live in Manhattan, it was an adventure for us. A rooftop restaurant with an outdoor terrace yes please. Decor was gorgeous and sleek. Although the bar was small, it was lighted and eye-catching. A huge Nutcracker greets you as soon as you walk inside. The space was loft style with seating upstairs as well as an outdoor terrace. (Terrace was closed due to winter). There was a DJ booth upstairs as well which led me to believe the place might turn into a club/lounge. Lots of seating everywhere. The crowd was mild when we arrived with a few birthdays observed. As the day went on the crowd was a bit more lively. The food looked quite delicious as my friends ordered steak and eggs and an English Muffin dish with poached eggs and fries. Good sized portions for the price. However, my French Toast was less than desired. Three sad little pieces of a faux brioche bread that was served cold. No salad on the plate as you can see from the picture. This was my meal for the day and not satisfying at all. Our waitress was very nice and did her due diligence EXCEPT for our water service. We ordered water and she did not specify that there was a charge for it. When our bill came and we asked about it, she stated that we "asked for flat water not tap water". I did not recall her stating there was a charge. She assumed we wanted flat BOTTLED water and charged us for it. Not good service since she was not being transparent. Bathrooms were clean. The place is definitely a vibe. If you are looking for views of the city and overpricing in Queens, this is your place. Different menus all three times I've returned and Same star rating. At this point I am begging my friends NOT to have their birthday dinners here. PLEASE! On a positive note, the shrimp is probably the best menu item. Seasoned well and the sauce is great. I'd pass on the elote. The teriyaki chicken was cool The chicken chili fried rice was undercooked. And once again the branzino was an absolute miss. All around not one single person liked it . As far as the sides the sweet plantains were great . The mashed potatoes were terrible. I had to show the manager . There was nothing smooth and creamy about this. I literally cut it with a knife. She said wow ok I see . And gave us complimentary shrimp because of it. The desserts are a hard pass . Cheesecake and molten lava cake and just nothing special . The cheesecake is grainy . You can feel the sugar in your mouth. And the chocolate molten cake is a microwaved something if you want to call it cake . Our server was very responsive to our requests. I just wouldn't willingly come here again. Gave it the good ole three tries and now I can confidently say I'm good off it . Don't need to come back . I've had enough strobe lights and loud music. I came here for a birthday celebration. Our reservation was for 7pm. The restaurant wasn't busy at first. The music was great. A lot of current popular songs from different genres. At around 7:30 there wasn't an empty set in the house, even the bar was occupied. At about 8pm There was a live burlesque show. Which was very entertaining. I've been here twice, however, only during the summer and only during the day. They offer a Pulsd brunch special, that is excellent value, if you plan to order more than one drink. Sometimes during brunch, they have special performances from aerialists, as well as an electric violinist. It becomes very loud and lively at this time if you are seated inside. Outside, it can get quite hot, but there is a great breeze. And it's a much quieter, aside from the elevated tracks of the subway when occasionally goes by, so you can have a conversation with people that are eating with, as well as a great view of the city. The food is solid, with decent vegetarian options. They haven't updated their physical menu so some of the drink options listed were not actually available. The only complaint I have is that they refuse to seat you unless your complete party is here, even if the majority of your party is here; for example, if five people out of six have arrived, they will still refuse to see you until the sixth person has arrived. Rooftop Vibes! I've been to Lighthouse on two occasions. First was for dinner, early January so it was 2 degrees outside (didn't enjoy the rooftop vibes). Next I went the beginning of April for a boozy brunch. Perfect weather to take fab pictures outside. The service is always on point. So is the food. This is a very upbeat brunch and dinner scene. Drove up from Maryland for a galentines day with my girls. We decided to end our day with a dinner at the Lighthouse Rooftop. Let me say this ambiance of the resturant is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the entertainment is amazing. However, the food was the low point of the night. Two of the orders were wrong, which they fixed rather quickly. The other two. Bronzino dishes were cold as if they were sitting or made in advance. By the time we got our food it was midnight so the thought of having to wait for them to remake it was beyond anything we handle. They were accommodating by removing from the bill, but that didnt really fix the hunger. We tried to eat it but the cold, but not appetizing. Parking is also very difficult in this area, we found it better off to pay the $30.00 valet fee. P.S you have to pay the fee up front and they were pretty demanding of wanting a tip before even parking your car. Skip dessert. Nothing to write home about read more

The tables can be a little bit uncomfortable bc it's couches so if someone is going to the bathroom everyone has to get up to let them out but the food was delicious and the ambiance was nice. They played some good music while we were eating and then when we were finishing some girls came out to dance and do a show which was really captivating. I was treated to this rooftop lounge with reservations made ahead of time. We arrived early and waited until our designated time, I guess because of the time slot that was chosen and the restrictions on the dining time period. The rooftop had a flow of people coming and leaving. When the seated us in the middle we had a preferred seating position which allowed for a exceptional view and we did not experience any problems with service. The scenery was nice as I was able to glance out of the window from time to time as well as see the staff entering and exiting the room. As far as the limited menu, it was one thing or the other but nothing spectacular. I chose the steak and egg due to familiarity with that particular dish. The highlight of the day was the performances that were orchestrated and underappreciated. It was a belly dancer and gymnastics using a big ring. I felt bad for the performers as no one applauded their efforts to perform for patrons throughout the day. The security was a bit rude as we wer trying to understand Parking but it was a Sunday so the lot was free. From getting off the elevator to the end of ourbmeal everyone were nice and pleasant. Came here to celebrate my 32nd birthday, and honestly, I wouldn't return unless it was to snap a rooftop photo or support someone else's celebration. First, I do appreciate them pushing my Resy back an hour and adjusting the party size from 20 to 14 the day of--that flexibility was helpful. Now for the rest. Let's talk about the dress code. As the birthday guest, I was almost turned away because of my hat. I was told only certain hats were allowed--specifically berets or fedoras. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was redirected to the front desk and told, "There's a store down the street--you can buy a pick or something." Instead, I bought a $10 beret from the bouncer just to get in. Of course, once I walked in, I immediately saw guests wearing beanies and bucket hats. So either the rule doesn't apply to everyone or someone didn't like my style. Rules are rules, I guess--but consistent enforcement clearly isn't. Then came seating. We were placed outside in direct 92° heat with no umbrellas, no shade, and no explanation. We were the only large party seated in the sun, and no alternative was offered until 20 minutes later, after one of my guests went to the front to advocate for us. Only then were we moved indoors. The bottomless deal was great--no issues there. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. The food was okay. Not terrible, not amazing--just fine. As someone from LA who's been to many "upscale," Instagrammable spots with actually good service and food to match, this one ranks pretty low on my list. Vibe matters, but vibe without hospitality just feels forced. read more

My steak and potatoes were the same quality of what I get at a local diner. They also provided some sort of entertainment. A flame throwing belly dancer. Not bad at . The cocktails were not to bad. To be mixed they were strong which may not be bad for some people but takes away from it being a curated cocktail. I been here a few times for brunch and drinks. This place is stunning, its such a beautiful rooftop and great addition to Sunnyside/LIC area. I was surprised by how great the food here is. The portions are a good size and the bottomless brunch is excellent. I have tried their wings, chicken & waffles, steak and eggs, tacos and guacamole. Everything has really been really good.
