Came by for early dinner on a Saturday evening, place was pretty empty, but looked nice. The bartender was very nice, and the drinks were good. Our server was also very sweet and attentive. Food was okay, a bit salty all around. Ordered an assortment of things: calamari, guacamole & chips, wings, yuca fries and shrimp fried rice. The guacamole was delicious. There was a lot of art, which is dope. Music was a bit too loud, but overall a good time.

Cantina 33 seems to be a hidden gem amongst brunch spots! Went on a Sunday around 1:00 PM for a late brunch. We had the place to ourselves which we were surprised by! The decor is really cool and the music could've been my exact playlist. Lots of early 2000's r&b and hiphop so the vibe was perfect. Service was friendly and efficient! We opted for the bottomless brunch. For only $40 which includes sangria or mimosas, an appetizer, and an entree, I thought it was a great deal. Our server offered us pitchers if we would be sticking with our drinks, which we did so that was greatly appreciated. The appetizers were tasty! Really enjoyed the arepita sliders. I think the move for an entree is the steak and eggs. You get a sizeable portion and the flavor was good. Nothing particularly mind blowing but everything satisfied and I was just again surprised that the place wasn't busier. I'd love to come back for another chill, boozy brunch!

What a cute little gem we stumbled upon in Ridgewood. I came here with a friend for dinner during the weekday and there was plenty of seating without needing a reservation. Food and drinks were great, the portions could have been better given the price but the service was also solid. The decor was very artsy and Instagrammable in an intimate setting.

I probably will never order again from here but idk who told the chef this is rotisserie chicken. It looks boiled and undercooked, the skin was rubbery and questionable. I appreciate that grubhub refunds because I had to throw this out.

Cantina 33 is solid in my book. The place is small, clean, and colorful. The staff is friendly, and the service is fast. We always go off-peak. We have been more than a handful of times and never leave disappointed. My kid loves the chicken sandwich, and my sister-in-law and I love the margaritas. . Like others have mentioned, they include the tip, and I don't mind. I am sure they have their reasons for that. If I lived close, I'd be on the HH wave bi-weekly. I highly recommend anyone who loves margaritas to check out this place. I have had the salad and some other dishes, and they were good, but the main focus is always on the margaritas, and they always hit!

Nice spot for some good drinks and a quick bite! A friend and I stopped in on Monday at 4:30pm for a quick hangout. There was only 1 other person inside sitting at the bar as I believe they had just opened at 4. Carlos the bartender greeted us right away and seated us! He was super friendly and attentive, he gave us good suggestions and feedback, and made us feel very welcomed. It's not a big spot but it's nice and cozy with adequate enough seating/space. The decor is super cute and comfy! They had a happy hour going which was a plus! Drinks: we started off with SangriTas (sangria and margarita mixed), these were really yummy! Round 2 I had the passion fruit mojito and my friend had the strawberry- they were both tasty and refreshing, not strong though, but that's mojitos I guess. We finished off with the Pisco punch- this one really packed a punch and was tasty! Food: started off with the chicken anticucho (chicken skewers). It was good, the chicken was tender and not over cooked and we were given 3 different sauces on the side which went well. We also got the arepita sliders, O.M.G! These were sooo yummy! The shrimp was seasoned to perfection and the avocado and everything else on it was the perfect accompaniments! For entrees I had the chaufa mixto (it's a fried rice with a mix of all the meats but I passed on the beef) and my friend had the jalea de mariscos (fried seafood platter). I LOVED my chaufa! It was soo flavorful and Carlos also gave a spicy red sauce on the side which made it even better. My friend also enjoyed her meal. U don't even like fried seafood (besides calamari), but I tried hers and it was as really good! It wasn't overcooked and chewy and she had leftovers the next day and they were STILL good.

I came to this spot with my friends for a boozy brunch afternoon. The service was very slow (there were only 3 parties in the entire restaurant.) We waited close to an hour for our food, when receiving the food it was cold. And I asked for scrambled eggs but did not get scrambled eggs. There is not a lot of options for the bottomless brunch also. A very sad disappointment.

I went Early afternoon with a friend on a Saturday. Great Food, Drinks & Music selection. I loved the Artwork inside and the Staff was super Nice. It was definitely a vibe ! Alil pricey but worth every penny. Compliments to the chef for the Banging Shrimp sliders . I will definitely be coming back with more friends! ‍ P.S = most of the food pictures didn't make it because it was that good . Thank me later! ‍‍‍‍‍

Cute little place in ridgewood. Enough seating and space so you can have an intimate dinner. We tried the ceviche mixto- choclo was still frozen but leche Tigre and seafood tasted good. Not fishy. More on the garlicky side. Entrees were awesome. Wished the lomo saltado came with yuca fries instead as potatoes were just boring American potatoes. For dessert I would not recommend the churros as they were just over powdered with sugar.

Bomb margaritas! Happy hour is awesome too! We ordered the hanger steak skewers and chorizo wontons. Skewers are cooked perfectly, not tough and steak is soft. Chorizo wontons with the sauce is my absolute favorite!!!

The friendly employee checked if I ordered from the kiosk, and I did. After 5 minutes or so, my order was ready and I took it to go. The stir-fried beef was really salty (think it's the marination) even when you eat the beef with the white rice or fries to try to dilute how much sauce there is. The tomato and onions were great. Tons of fries (that I can't finish it) and a small container of white rice. Have to come back and try the cerviche and fried rice next time.

Dishes we've had include: - Half Chicken: $9.50; $10.34 with tax. The chicken and accompanying green sauce are above average; 4 stars out of 5. The chicken is flavorfully marinated and moist, and the green sauce has a little heat to it. - The Sampler: $16.99; $18.59 with tax. The most flavorful component of this dish was the chicken. The rice was on the mushy side. The ceviche was OK but the proteins didn't quite have the right textures. - Aeropuerto Special: $15.25; $16.60 with tax. OK; 3 stars out of 5. A mixture of thin lo mein noodles and rice with some roast pork, chicken, and shrimp. The dish seemed to have a decent wok hei, which was confusing because the chicken rice from the Sampler was on the mushy side. This dish would be much better with more proteins, and the wok hei suggests that the restaurant has untapped potential. - Papa Rellena: $8.95; $9.74 with tax. OK; 3 stars out of 5. Stuffed deep fried potatoes that seemed factory-made, instead of house-made. Atmosphere, Service, Other: The restaurant is casual, clean, and comfortable for dining in, with a mix of regular tables and booth-style seating. Those who choose to dine-in should order food at the counter, receive a number placard, and find a place to sit. Staff will bring plates, utensils, and later, one's food and drink; and will clear the table when your party is finished eating. Service is notably upbeat. Suggested tips are based on pre-tax subtotals, and start at an affordable 12%. Overall ticket time (the time between placing an order and having that order served) is reasonable. By contrast, Bayside Chicken Lovers often requires that orders be placed in advance to minimize wait time. The restroom is adequately maintained, but oddly pipes in music louder than in the main dining area. Simple Peruvian is a couple of storefronts away from Kora, which is a superb place for dessert afterwards.

(I was overwhelmed at first and ordered a plain quarter chicken (dark meat) & 3-rib plate. The cashier was nice enough to recommend the #8 combo (1/4 Chicken, 3 Ribs) instead.) The cut of ribs were good but slightly dry. Was recommended the beans (good) with white rice (dry) by the cashier. Dark meat was the best. First bites of the white meat & ribs were dry, but got better towards the middle. The green sauce was watery and didn't have much flavor. Not sure why everyone raves about green sauce. Was expecting Mama's Empanadas level, but this was 1/4 of that flavor. The Cantonese-speaking cashier was so nice & chill! Communication was easy (English, Cantonese, or Spanish) & they had a steady flow of customers, of all backgrounds. I would get the food to go, the dining area is one long, narrow room and for whatever reason the floor was very wet. I guess it's good that they mopped at 4 PM? There were a few guys that were either workers or hanging out at the far back tables, one or two middle-age couples dining in. It was just kind of a sad ambience. The cashier recommended the Lomo Saltado next time. Maybe I went at a slow time, 4 PM Friday. First bite of food at home was decent, but nothing overwhelming. I would stick to all dark meat! Reheat the pink beans at home. Glad that they usually get their workers two weeks vacation (as per a sign in 2022) - shows that business is good! *Didn't realize they're connected to Caravan Chicken in Astoria. Might try them (closer to me) to compare.

A lot of Astorians say that they're the best Peruvian rotisserie chicken in the area & "Chino Latino" restaurant (more than the other one further down Broadway). The other place's dining area seems like a hallway rest stop for workers, couples & their late lunch. I ordered the around $22 1/4 Chicken (dark meat) & 3 Spare Ribs w/ white rice. Be prepared to wait a bit - they are THAT busy. I got there around 5:30pm on a weekday & there were already 5-7 people in the front area waiting for their orders. The Green Sauce! is good & Much better than their sister restaurant's. Balanced between savory with a bit of spice & herb. I enjoyed the spare ribs more than the chicken. They were super tender & a medium flavor. Would actually appreciate a little bit more marinade, but it was decent. The chicken was just okay, needed more marinating time/flavor. Rice was long grain & mostly moist & cooked well. Never a fan of place's fried rice - always lacking flavor & not moist.

FYI, their calamari is different from Mediterranean. Service was great! It was my first time to Ecuadorian restaurant. The server was very kind to explain everything and made a great recommendation. It was a pleasure visiting. Definitely recommended for anyone for any casual occasion

The most recent time was a few days ago, and it was excellent. The staff is nice, and the portions are generous for the price point, with two of us taking home leftovers out of the four people dining. To drink, three of us had shakes, or rather batidos, with the prices being $7 en agua or $8 en leche. I went with Lulo, which is listed as Solanum online, but really refers to naranjilla. As per the name, it means a little orange, but it is closer in flavor to a mix between pineapple and lime. Others had Maracuyá/passion fruit and Guanábana/soursop, and everyone enjoyed their drinks. They gave us some chulpi/corn nuts on the table, along with some aji verde, a lightly spicy green sauce which went with some of our heavier appetizers. Our heavier appetizer was two orders of the Bolón Mixto for $10. Bolon refers to a green plantain ball, and they offer the traditional cheese version along with chicharron, or with camarones/shrimp. The mixto combines the cheese and pork, and it was delicious, but very filling. One was more than enough, but we still enjoyed it, with the aji verde helping to reduce the overall richness. There was also the $6.50 Yapingachos/Llapingacho, or pan-fried potato cakes. These came two to an order and came topped with an onion and tomato salsa, along with some lettuce below. The potato cakes were a lot lighter by comparison to our other appetizer, but still flavorful. I would recommend them, as with other people who go here. Our smaller main dish was the Ceviche de Pescado for $17.00, or fish cocktail served either with rice or, as our choice, chifles or fried plantain chips. This was also available as a mixto, but I didn't order it as I have a pulpo allergy. There was a large amount of fresh fish inside for the price, making it very worth it. As with most ceviches, there was some sourness from the lime along with some fresh chopped herbs, onions, and tomatoes. It lacked a bit of heat I usually prefer, but I still liked it, and the whole thing was devoured quickly. Our other main dishes were all $19. My favorite of the bunch was the Seco de Chivo, with goat stew slowly cooked in home-made sofrito and beer, served with yellow rice, sliced avocado, and sweet plantain. The goat was cooked down until it was extremely tender, but still had a bit of chew, and there was a good amount of meat, even with the amount of bones in there. The broth was savory and mildly sweet, being warming, comforting, and perfect on top of the rice. This was excellent. For most of the other group, their favorite was the Chaulafan, a mix of stir-fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp, egg, and veggies served with sweet plantain and avocado. The rice had a nice texture with some lightly crispy portions and was mildly salty. The meat inside was mostly very tender, regardless of what meat it was. This was excellent as well. The remaining dish was the Sango de Camarones, listed as a tropical dish and a purée of green plantains, slowly cooked in peanut sauce and shrimp, and topped with citrus red onions served with yellow rice and sliced avocado. The dish had a unique, almost gruel-like texture, which was a bit off-putting to some, but others like myself liked it. The shrimp inside was tender, and the dish felt a bit richer than the other mains. This was probably our least favorite main, but it was still good. We were quite full, but got some $7 Flan for dessert, which is in-house made. It wasn't overly sweet, which is my preference, and the texture was semi-soft. It was a good version, and the portion was large for the price. We liked this as well. Not many complaints here. Friendly service and good, reasonably priced food.
