Small, local Peruvian restaurant. Get's pretty busy on the weekends. Hard to find street parking. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Party of 3, we had a 7pm reservation on a Friday night, was seated right away. The pisco sour is very good, made perfectly. For starters we shared the veal heart & octopus. The veal heart was very tasty, similar consistency to a piece of steak. The octopus was just ok, a little overcooked. Both apps were served with potatoes and corn. For entree I had the lomo soltado, the steak was overcooked, dry and rubbery, the portion was smaller than expected. My friends had the Leche de Tigre which was huge and delicious. The chaufa was good, steak was also overcooked. Restaurant was packed by time we left, no standing room or waiting area.

Food was very good! Ambiance is moderately loud and lively but still good for a date. Service was prompt. This restaurant was busy for a Sunday evening and had to put our names down for a 30 minute wait. The food, drinks, and energy are surprising given this restaurant is in a quiet neighborhood. Would recommend if you're nearby.

Came here for dinner with some friends. The staff was friendly. The restaurant isnt that big but had seating inside and outside. The menu wasnt huge but had a good selection of food. We ordered the calamari and octopus appetizers. The octopus had a nice flavor. We were able to cut it with a butter knife but wish they gave us a steak knife so it was easier. We ordered a couple of entrees. My favorite was the steak. It was a lot bigger than i expected. We got to choose 3 sides and opted for two order plantains and 1 order yuca fries. The steak was tender and not tough. It was a tad over cooked since we ask for medium rare and got more of a medium. I wanted to like the paella but it was too strong in cilantro flavor in the rice. The seafood was really fresh though. For dessert we got flan and the cookies. My friend order 3 since she thought they were going to be small. But for $6 a piece it was quite expensive and we definitely have had better.

A dj arrived around 7:30 pm. and spun really good tunes. The pisco sour grew on me.... the pain fruit pisco sour was too sweet. The fish ceviche was fine...I It could have had more flavor. The octopus was quite good.. it was served on a sizzling plate and had a red sauce on it, like you would normally get on the anticichos. It came with a couple of slices of papa's a la haunciani.. that was delicious... the chaufa was fine. The jallea was the star. It had fish in it, and that was delicious. The green sauce was good, and the hot sauce was good. Together, they were very good. The skirt bread cookie sandwich was delicious. The server tried her best and was ver sweet. But she had too many tables to take care of.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the combo with ceviche and calamari. It was very citrusy, flavorful, and they were able to adjust the spicyness level to my liking (which is very spicy). My husband had the rotisserie chicken with beans and fried yuca- also delicious. The environment was clean and lively. They know how to celebrate a birthday- with lots of bubbles, maracas, and a bday song lol. My only complaint is the portions are small for the price but honestly- they were enough to fill us up just right- just no take home. Also, the servers, Isaac and Elizabeth, were amazing- very attentive, not pushy, and knowledgeable of their menu.

It's a beautiful spot! It's dark and intimate with Instagrammable signs inside. They have Peruvian lager beer, Cusquena. There's a menu of great signature drinks: tirimisu martini, , Pisco sour, chicha morada with pisco, margarita, pina colada, mojito. It's perfect for a family celebration or holding a birthday party! I love the music inside. When I arrived this past weekend, there was a live music performance by a singer. I walked in with my friends yesterday night. We were able to get a table outside. They do take reservations. The chefs plated the meals beautifully. My friends and I ordered leche de tigre (ceviche), lomo saltado (sirloin beef with rice and fries), arroz con mariscos (rice with seafood), tallarines verde con bistec (pesto pasta with skirt steak). My favorite meal chosen was the tallarines verde, because of the creamy sauce and the yummy flavor of the steak. So good! I liked the quality of the food and the freshness of the squid and shrimp in the arroz con mariscos. Our drinks were delicious and strongly made. Agreed with some Yelpers. Although really popular, the space is cozy, and luckily, there were some seats outside which we accepted since we traveled far to try this spot given the positive reviews. It was a bit chilly, and fortunately, they had these heat lamps which were nice. The waitresses were helpful especially Leidy who checked in on us. The only downside was that the dishes did take a while to show up, which made sense when after observing the huge birthday party that showed up while we were figuring out what to order. I saw that gratuity was already attached to the check. The bathroom was downstairs and was fairly clean. And I would definitely return and try more items as it was the food that attracted us here in the first place. As for next time, we definitely want to try these which we did have our eyes on: anticuchos (veal hearts), pulpo a la parilla (grilled octopus), jalea (fried squid, clam, octopus).

First visit here 07/26/2025. We ordered the jalapeño margarita and it was strong and absolutely amazing. We ordered the fish ceviche and Jalea it was delicious. The service was wonderful and the crowd was great. A few birthday celebrations this evening it's beautiful. For desert we ordered the Crema Catalana. It's taste good but I still prefer a cream brûlée.

Ran for a solo dinner after a hair appointment. It's a nice dimly lit place, not much decor but very chic. I sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. I had the Pisco sunrise cocktail. It wasn't overly sweet so I loved it. I ordered the Lomo Saltado. I honestly fell in the love. The steak was so juicy and the sauce was so rich and flavorful. I was so impressed. Everyone was pretty friendly. I gave 4/5 stars just cause parking in the area is limited since it's in a residential area.

I absolutely love Mama Pisco!! They have so many amazing deals throughout the week that it's always a blast to dine here! They have a mariachi band on Thursdays and different happy hour and meal deals! The pisco sours are so tasty and tangy and $10 during happy hour! Not to mention every meal I have had has been flavorful. The lomo fries are some of the best and their lomo has a stickier brown almost bbq sauce to it. The tallarines and skirt steak is filling and a great value and their aji verde you can have on its own. If I'm in the area this is where I am going to eat!

Wow. The food and drinks were excellent. Music was a little loud but nonetheless it was fantastic. Service could have been a little better but be prepared to wait for a table unless you have a reservation or get lucky like I did. Parking is also very limited in this neighborhood

Excellent food and great servíce!! I came for my friend's birthday on a Tuesday. Special of the night: Dinner for 2 for $50, includes one appetizer and 2 entrees. The food was really good. The anticucho was perfect and the tallarines verdes with carne too. Excellent service, our waitress was friendly and very attentive. Because it was my friend's birthday we got 2 rounds of shots on the house, and they had a 3 leches cake ready to sing her happy birthday. And the cherry on top, they also have live music. The place is small but very cozy... and you get 20% off on the food with yelp check in. I just wish it was closer to a train station, but driving is not a problem. I can't wait to come back.

The bar is a bit on the smaller side in terms of seating, but it has a TON of personality. I loved the eclectic decorations and knickknacks around the seating areas and the bar. The bartender had the TV tuned in to Jeopardy, so my inner (or extremely obvious?) nerd was beaming. In terms of the drinks themselves, I tried the cocoa orange whiskey (?) infusion on the rocks, and my BF had the chipotle paloma. We would both say they were solid, definitely not at "craft cocktail" level, but decent. This bar has a fun + dive-y feel - the kind of place where you get a beer, a plate of chicken nuggets, and watch trash tv with your neighborhood crew (I think they actually do have people who have a weekly Bachelorette viewing during the week). Definitely worth checking out if you're already in the area and looking for ~vibes.~

I've had a number of drinks here and it's been a great meeting spot for late night occasions, especially ones that revolve around a good drink. No doubt it's one of the more underrated nightlife venues in the borough. The setup feels like something out of a Brooklyn type bar - pseudo hipster vibe, casual environment with the whole board games and stacks of books all within a space that is well divided to give a different feel in each corner of the small'ish interior. Like a living room extension but with adult company. Of course, the bar is the most prominent thing in the room and it's a great place to chill as a solo patron. Groups can congregate in the lounge-y areas but the feel is remarkably different depending on where one choses to hang. On a beverage front, there is no shortage of quality drinks to be had. The cocktails are well made and not expensive; the bartenders do a good job of making sure each drink carries a certain kind of potency before leaving the bar. The happy hours are lovely as well, combined with a good deals ($5 shot + beer special, $5 cocktails, etc.) and even better hours (2-8pm!). Lastly, I appreciate a good name. Bad Old Days can be interpreted in many facets, but I think this establishment prides itself on good company and somehow rewards us with simple, good drinks. Bring a friend or three, enjoy the random movies that get projected onto the wall, and enjoy a late night capper in a quiet part of an emerging part of Queens.

We tried a bunch of stuff and the star was definitely the soft scrambled egg tostada, the masa pancakes and coffee tres leches cake. These are a must try! Good to try was also the fried oaxacan cheese but at $14 for 3 pieces, it's not worth a repeat order for me. These were skippable to be honest: mega thick bacon (just ok) home fries (meh) The chilaquiles (pork chorizo, salsa ranchera, crema, queso fresco, sunny up eggs) lacked flavor for a dish with so much going on. Service was pretty quick.

Came specifically for their famous masa pancakes and YES, you must get them. Crispy exterior, fluffy and soft inside. Soaks up the delicious syrup perfectly and the slab of cold cinnamon butter on top is the most delicious touch (if you're like me and love butter). I'm also a huge chilaquiles fan (California natives, stand up) so had to try that as well - very, very good. Chips were the perfect balance of crispy and soft, pork chorizo was balanced in flavor. We also got a side of their mega thick cut bacon, home fries, and eggs. All wonderfully executed - easy things to add on that don't take away from the main events. I guess the one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was their drip coffee (no other options outside of cold brew) but if that's the only downer from this meal, I can absolutely live with it. Service was lovely even sitting at the bar and the hosts were really kind as we were a walk-in. Definitely a place to try if you like a unique pancake and Mex-American flavors!
