I was having breakfast this morning and the waiter took a while before coming to our table. The food was served fast though but I saw the people on the other tables frustrated because of the lateness to be served 11 tables for just 1 waiter is a bit too much!! Came here for a little small belated birthday dinner for a friend and we had a very nice time. We each just had a dish since we knew the portions are BIG. The menu is extensive and there was a lot to choose from. They even offer some Mexican and Italian dish options. I had the Grilled Skirt Steak (Monterey), which was SO BIG I had leftover for lunch the next day. :) the meat was pretty tender and juicy. The dish came with tostones (big) and rice. We were also served salads to start. What stands out a lot is the amazing service here. They are so polite, friendly, patient and helpful. The restaurant definitely seemed staffed properly which I suppose was a good thing because as the night progressed, the place filled up (for a Thursday night). My friends had the salmon and the Chicken Franchise. I took off just one star because they ended up charging my friends twice (but rectified the mistake), hopefully her funds will sort out. They also charge extra if you want to make any side substitutions... which isn't kind of crappy. The place is also beautifully decorated and spacious. Will def be back very soon! Next time we'll partake in an adult beverage maybe :)

My favorite was the jalapeño and cheese, which have a nice kick to them. The yuca frita was crispy but not oily, and made for a great appetizer before the pupusas. We came during happy hour and took advantage of the drink specials. The red sangria and margaritas were only $8 a glass and they were both strong and tasty, though I preferred the sangria slightly more. The music at Salvatoria was great and made for a nice atmosphere, with current Latino hits playing in the background. My only note, and it's minor, is that the curtido wasn't as good as I've had at other places. They do give you a good amount, but it lacked some of the crunch and acidity that a great curtido needs to balance out the pupusas. Overall, Salvatoria Kitchen and Bar delivers on food, value, and atmosphere. The bill for four pupusas, two drinks, and an order of yuca frita came out to just $45 before tip.

We ordered the Bandera (a greatest hits combination plate) and the Bandeja Campesina and were not disappointed! The Bandera is fantastic, every part of it is excellent. It's a combination of chivo guisado and guatita over rice, and a super fresh, succulent shrimp ceviche and wedge of avocado on the side. Guatita is a stewed tripe dish, similar to Peruvian Cau Cau, but with more body and perfect comfort food. Chivo Guisado is the standout, with big satisfying chunks of tender goat braised in a red sauce. The shrimp ceviche was so sweet and tender, and the fresh tomato and onion sauce had the right amount of acid to make it addictive! The Bandeja Campesina here might be the best bandeja in the neighborhood. All of the meats were perfectly seasoned, especially the moist pork ribs.
