I came here for breakfast. I ordered the Mis Tierras Desayuno . Come with mix rice and bean , fried egg , grilled steak sweet plantains, pork skin and corn cake with cheese. For $16.50 . Portion size are generous I definitely could've shared this breakfast with someone . The menu prices on yelp is not updated still showing for $13.50. There are five Giant TV screen on the wall . good to catch a soccer game while eating . Service is efficient.

This place is a neighborhood restaurant that is filled with locals. The place was bustling on a Wednesday night, I'm wondering how it is during the weekends. There's no need to make any reservations. However, if you have more than four in your group, reservations are probably necessary. For the food, we went straight for the entree and got the grilled steak and corn cake with cheese. I enjoyed it. The hot sauce that they gave on the side was great. I got a drink which was on a separate menu. It was a passion fruit flavored margarita. It was so yummy, I thought it tasted great, but I didn't feel the alcohol until much later because it snuck up on me. All in all, I would like to return if I'm ever in the area again.

Was in the Queens area and noticed some Colombian restaurants in the area so had to swing through to get my fix. Was impressed that they had a relatively full restaurant during lunch hours- sign of good food. Staff was welcoming and super quick with my order. Ambience is great, multiple families and friends dining. Ordered the soup of the day (sancocho de res) which came with a side of chicken, rice and potato salad. The soup is a must have, I could've had 3 bowls and been content. Chicken was just ok but potato salad was good. Gunabana (soursop) juice was on point. Would return to try other Colombian staples such as the bandeja paisa!

Love this Latin restaurant in Woodside. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The food is delicious. I love their mix plate with fried pork belly, thin flank steak, sausage, egg, plantains, beans, and a deliciously seasoned and fluffy rice. Their 1/4 chicken with soup and salad combo is also a must have.

The food here was fine but had a terrible experience - let me explain. I came here last week with my boyfriend to get some Colombian food and watch the Colombia vs Panama game (since we knew this restaurant was going to be playing the game). We arrived about 40 minutes before kickoff and got a seat in a nearly full restaurant of people waiting to watch the game. My boyfriend and I got a starter, food, and drinks and since everything came out quickly we were practically done by the time the game started. The waitresses had been very kind up until more customers came in waiting for seats. Since we had finished our meals the waitress brought us our check and I told us she needed the table back for the other guests. Note, we had been there for only 45 minutes and the game had just started. We asked if we could stay and watch the game and order more food so we could keep the table, to which the waitress seemed annoyed and said said she would be back (the restaurant was busy so she probably left to go check on other customers). Two more waitresses would come by and (for the most part very kindly) told us they needed our table back. We left 10 minutes later since the whole interaction left a bad taste in our mouths. Maybe next time advertise a per table minimum $$ to watch the soccer game you are inviting people to come watch so you don't have to tell your clients to leave (despite us asking if we could order more food to keep the table)???? And to ask someone for the table back when they hadn't even been there for 1 hour seems strange. If there had been a sign saying you could only have the table for a certain amount of time I might understand... Again, everything about the experience was good up until that point.

This is a very fun place to celebrate with friends and family and eat delicious Colombian food! My friend had a 20+ guest list and we all fit (pretty big tables) and since it was his birthday, they celebrate with singing and instruments which really hyped up the energy! Super friendly, helpful, and energetic staff!

I ordered the arroz con pollo and it was just so amazing! I'm from NC so there's hardly an opportunity for me to taste authentic Colombian food, and Mis Tierras Colombianas did not disappoint. The plantains, rice, and chicken were all amazing and I will definitely be back whenever I return to the area.

Amazing dinner at Mis Tierras Colombianas. Went with a couple Colombian people and they loved it. They were very satisfied with the authenticity. The whole restaurant was also decorated in Colombian decor. The drinks had a little Colombia flag in them too. The food was delicious. The portions are humongous. Going in I was ready to take some home as leftovers. The bandeja paisa is always my go-to at a Colombian place. The variety your getting in that dish is perfect. Overall, super satisfied. If you're looking for taste of Colombia, def come check this place out!

It has been years since I've visited one of the neighborhoods where I've lived for about two years. The great part of moving anywhere is checking out the food, and most importantly eating. Me having never eaten here was only ten blocks away. Well it was finally rectified with my bestie and daughter in tow. My best friend in the world was craving steak plus she's expecting, so she shall get what she wishes lol This is the jackpot for carnivore lovers. There is a cornucopia of meat options that would make you bring the blood pressure pills just to keep the heart afloat. Parking can be challenging, so keep that in mind, as the governor/mayor wants people to do without cars by using public transportation. They have been eliminating parking spots with their citibikes all over nyc. It was a late lunch around 2:30 when we all arrived. The restaurant was half full, and our waitress approached our table with menus once we chose a table. There was a slight language barrier issue when explaining the egg yolk to be cooked all the way, but our waitress was a champ and immediately fixed it right away for my friend. Chicken fingers and fries was ordered for her daughter, bistec a caballo (steak in creole sauce topped with egg in addition to the rice and beans) for the bestie, and I opted for the bandeja paisa ( grilled beef, pork skin, sausage, egg, corn cake, sweet plantain, rice, beans, and avocado. The meats give me the meat sweat! I highly recommend to cut up pieces of everything to try to fit it all on the fork to eat at the same time. Their rice and beans was just delicious, and it will not give you flatulence lol. The grilled beef and sausage was just flavorful and great with their green sauce. Their chicharron was ok. The tip was deep fried which was meaty, crispy and crunchy, but once the top was eaten all that was left was chunks of fat in the center. The sweet plantain, avocado, and egg all married well with the meats, and rice with beans. The sweet and salty with a kick of hot sauce made me just do a food dance while seated. It's always great to go with more than one person, because sharing is caring when different entrees are ordered lol. The besties steak was tender and dressed with yummy creole sauce. The potatoes were a nice touch. Overall a very good dining experience and we will be back!

Delicious and huge portions. I came on a day where they were showing the real Madrid vs Barcelona game and it was still good. The waitresses are very nice and the food comes out hot and fresh. Everything is socially distanced and honestly, the service is just amazing. I recommend the typical Platter, green plantains with guacamole and papaya shake with milk! I absolutely can't wait to come back!

If you don't speak Spanish, you're out of luck. The service will be poor, your order incorrect. Wait time for takeout? Long.

Why 4 stars? Because these arepas were different, but enjoyable…read more --- --- --- To-date, I apparently have only had Venezuelan arepas and wasn't aware of how different Colombian arepas were. Colombian arepas (or at least the ones here) come with a sweet, corn tortilla and are more open faced: to be eaten with a fork. In the past, I've had flour tortillas that are designed more like a taco and eaten as a handheld. So despite the differences, I (and my friends) enjoyed our meal. Let the official record state, I ordered the arepas con queso with chorizo. We had plans to eat our way through Jackson Heights, but because a couple of the places we planned to visit were closed, we actually just mostly hung out here and enjoyed our arepas of the sweet and open-faced variety. It was a good afternoon.

This was my first time trying an arepa, and honestly it was one of the best introductions I could…read morehave asked for. Before this, if someone mentioned arepas, I probably would have confused them with pupusas, which I'd only seen at street fairs and thought of as more of a sweet item. I had no idea they came in savory versions too. I went with the carne asada arepa, and the beef was fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. It's so common for places to overcook little chunks of beef, but here it was perfect. Each arepa is big enough to split between two people, so the price feels very fair. The filling was generous, with beef packed inside and even overflowing out the sides. They also serve the arepas with a rack of five or six sauces to choose from. Some were spicy, and one had a sweet condensed milk flavor if you like a mix of sweet and savory. My go to ended up being this green mayonnaise sauce which I assumed was like some sort of a lime mayo, which added the perfect tartiness to the rich cheese filling.
