Calentado Tradicin, con Carne asada, arepa con queso, y huevos al gusto.

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing , the music as well. Overall the owners make your experience even amazing they're very welcoming and make you feel at home. 100% Recommended. A variety of dishes.

Visited for morning Breakfast. Small friendly location. Close to authentic calentando. Had the Calentando with Steak, Arepa with cheese and huevos Perico. The meat was well seasoned but the arepa was over cooked and quite hard to eat. Unfortunately no refills with the coffee. There was also no mention of the pre added tip of 18% which is not an issue. But I would not have tipped almost 40% as a tip for breakfast for mediocre service. Blindsided to be charged such a ridiculous amount with no liquor for breakfast. Feel like I was nickel and dimed.

Great food and service ! Danna made us feel amazing and made food recommendations. We tried the bandeja . The steak was fantastic . I don't like pork rind but this was a nice touch . Everything was well balanced.

A nice hole-in-the-wall place for traditional Colombian food. I got the Calentado con Huevos y Carne Asada. Pros: I liked the generous portions especially of rice and beans. Service was patient and attentive, making sure to refill our waters frequently. Cons: The steak was a little tough to chew, so I might opt for a different meat next time. The day we went it was high 90s outside, and felt similarly inside. I think they could do with better A/C.

Bandeja tipica at a Colombian restaurant? CHECK! CHECK! CHECK! How can your ever go wrong ordering that? The crackling on that chicharron is heaven on earth. My wife ordered Entrana with shrimp off the special and it was ALL world. Corona Ave in Queens has Peruvian, Colombian, Dominican, Italian restaurants etc, etc, etc.... Happy to come across this small restaurant that packs a serious punch for quality Latino food. The sangrias were great! Waiter did an exceptional job after mentioning that he was understaffed by 2 people. I already noticed he was waiting all tables and his sincerity was well appreciated. He did a fantastic job catering not only to our needs, but the needs of other customers in the restaurant. Excellent job. Amazing how small restaurants like this can have miracles coming out of small kitchens. Food was on point. No complaints what so ever. Nothing better than leaving full and satisfied! Go Colombia! Rep hard for Queens!

the food was ok and service was lame we were the only ppl there and food took a long time to come and wasn't that great. the waitress dropped our drink on us and herself. i didn't finish the food, the portion was huge. it goes to show quality beats quantity. the prices were way too high and did it depict what's on the menu either

I'm not going to pretend that I am the best person to determine what an authentic Colombian experience is (never had the pleasure of visiting Colombia), but if this isn't it, I can't imagine what they're missing. The staff speaks to you in Spanish exclusively, which made me glad one of my boys is Honduran. The TVs all over the place are playing what appear to be Colombian music videos that were made in the 80s featuring old men and attractive young women. They've got buckets of Colombian beer and frosted mugs so cold that the beer turned to slush around the sides. They've got a platter called the Bandeja la Berraca that consists of rice, beans, steak, plantains, eggs, avocado salad, little corn cakes, blood sausage, other sausage (amazing), and a giant side of chicharron. Eat and drink to you're bursting, while adorable Colombian kids run around the place. And rejoice that you live in NYC, where these things can be had.

The food was really good. I tried the breaded pork loin, cazuela de frijoles and steak topped with mushroom sauce. Everything was really great and the portions were very generous. We also ordered a refajo (It's a traditional Colombian cocktail made with beer and "Colombiana", which is a soda from Colombia. It is a very simple and quick recipe but refreshing) I wanted to try their chicken and boy oh boy their chicken was so flavorful. I definitely recommend their roasted chicken. My boyfriend and I shared the bandeja paisa which is a typical Colombian dish. It was so filling; everything on that plate tasted good. I really liked the beans and the chicharron; the chicharron wasn't hard to chew which I have experienced before at other Colombian restaurants. It was a lively restaurant experience, there were a good amount of tables filled up and as our main entree arrived I realized it was because the Colombian soccer team had a game going on at the time I was dining at the restaurant. Great restaurant to watch a soccer game over some yummy food. The service from the staff was friendly and the ambiance was top notch. The restaurant went wild when the Colombian soccer team scored. All in all, this is an amazing restaurant. 10/10 experience and restaurant recommendation

Colombian arepas (or at least the ones here) come with a sweet, corn tortilla and are more open faced: to be eaten with a fork. In the past, I've had flour tortillas that are designed more like a taco and eaten as a handheld. So despite the differences, I (and my friends) enjoyed our meal. Let the official record state, I ordered the arepas con queso with chorizo. We had plans to eat our way through Jackson Heights, but because a couple of the places we planned to visit were closed, we actually just mostly hung out here and enjoyed our arepas of the sweet and open-faced variety. It was a good afternoon.

Before this, if someone mentioned arepas, I probably would have confused them with pupusas, which I'd only seen at street fairs and thought of as more of a sweet item. I had no idea they came in savory versions too. I went with the carne asada arepa, and the beef was fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. It's so common for places to overcook little chunks of beef, but here it was perfect. Each arepa is big enough to split between two people, so the price feels very fair. The filling was generous, with beef packed inside and even overflowing out the sides. They also serve the arepas with a rack of five or six sauces to choose from. Some were spicy, and one had a sweet condensed milk flavor if you like a mix of sweet and savory. My go to ended up being this green mayonnaise sauce which I assumed was like some sort of a lime mayo, which added the perfect tartiness to the rich cheese filling.
