Was recommended by a couple of people so decently wanted to try it out. First things first, food was pretty good. The steak pasta was really and I was pretty excited to eat it as leftovers. Pretty good portions and definitely worth it. Service was ok, they were very nice but we waited a pretty long time. Not sure if this is a regular thing or but something to keep in mind. The place itself is pretty nice and especially with summer coming up, it's a really nice option for a sit down place.

I think I said "Wow, that flavor!!" 4+ times. Everything was soooo flavorful and delicious! My boyfriend and I walked in around 8pm on a Friday night and were seated right away. The place is very well decorated with a minimalistic vibe. We shared the Pastelitos Sampler- I'm telling the truth when I say we looked at each other wide-eyed after each bite. They were THAT tasty. We also got the Tostones con Guacamole, which was exactly what you'd expect. For my meal I ordered the Fettuccine a la Huancaina con lomo de salteado. SUPER flavorful meat and sauce. The pasta flavors reminded me of mac and cheese. Together, they made a great dish. Overall 10/10 experience and flavorful food!

Love going to this place. The ambiance is excellent. Today we went with some friends for memorial day. As always happy hour and lunch menu are great prices. They had great music and was a bit busy. Tostones with guacamole is a good sharing appetizer. Its tasty and fresh. I had ceviche and we shared other menu items. The reason why is not a full 5 is because my friend asked for a red snapper.First it took to long and second when the food came it was a fish filet not a full fish. Also the fish was not a red snapper , we all tried the taste and texture of it. And it was not it. The flavor was good but not what was on the menu. I told the waitress about it and she told the manager. Not to be a surprise, they agreed that they changed the fish 2 weeks ago and dit not tell people or changed the menus. The food is a 5 but customers should be told about changes.

This plate was also good. Steak with spaghetti. Too bad I waited too long while my partner had his plate :/

Last time I was there was 5/30/2025 and won't go back anymore because of my server Emily. The only server they have because is a small cute place. Most of their food is good, but their carne chaufa with fries and their grilled porkchop is just ok. Nothing I ordered again the last times I went to eat. Anyway, last time I was there with my partner it was during lunch special, like I said is a small place so it gets crowded fast. There is only 1 waitress, and therefore the server can easily get agitated because of the excess of work. My partner and I asked for our entrees. It was busy I understand no problem waiting a while. But then the server came with my partner's plate and my plate came with a small soup, the server brought the soup to table 5 min. later. I finished my small soup fast. As I told the server 20 min. later when would my food arrive, she answered you had your soup and the order was being made in a rude manner. I could see she was annoyed. But why serve my partner and leave me waiting 40 min. until she place my food on my table? Yes, I waited 20 extra min. My partner felt bad so I ate some of his food, while we were having a couple of drinks. My drink passion fruit margarita was good but the mojito was really bad. My partner gave me a taste and he was not kidding. It tastes like ice water and no liquor. No flavor!! Since I waited so long to be serve, I thought she won't mind if I ask for the mojito to be made stronger and better. She got annoyed again and said it will be extra. My goodness this girl is taking out her overly worked body with us. We said fine, but when the receipt came there was no extra charge for putting more alcohol in the mojito. But the mojito now tasted like water, ice and alcohol only. We wanted the drink to taste like a real mojito. We just let it go, as we knew we were not coming back ever. Anyway, I usually tip fair but this time I left a $6.00 tip because service with Emily was the worst! Never going back there. I should actually should had left nothing now that I think of it.

Delicious spot for Peruvian cuisine. The portions are generous and the food is so good. My friend and I had the red snapper and chaulafan. Both dishes were flavorful and beautifully plated! The sauce for the red snapper was delicious. . The drinks are strong and very fresh! The Pina colada was excellent! I would recommend it!

I spotted this place from a food influencer on ig. When walking inside you can tell it is newly renovated. There's a lot of seating and when I went no reservations were necessary, and there was room. The menu was extensive. There was a lot of different entrees and the ones that I tried was the Entrana 14oz steak. This came with rice, beans and fries. I didn't eat the fries but everything else was good. I was so full afterwards as portion wise it was so much. I had to bring the steak home.

I've been meaning to try this place out and I'm so glad I finally did! While it might not look like much from the outside, inside is cozy and inviting. A real hidden gem in Astoria! I was greeted promptly and able to sit right away. I came for a solo late lunch on Sunday around 3pm and the place really filled up by the time I left. The menu appears to be a mix of Latin cuisines: Peruvian, Colombian and Venezuelan from what I could tell. I admittedly was not familiar with a lot of the items on the menu so I asked the server for some recommendations. She was very sweet and helped me decide on some options. I LOVE passionfruit so of course I had to try the passionfruit shake. For the fruit shakes you pick between milk or water and the server recommended water for the passionfruit. It was the perfect mix of tart and sweetness and blended very smoothly. For my main dish, I asked about a couple different ones and the server recommended the Chaulafan - rice with shrimp, steak and chicken served with avocado and sweet plantains. It was so delicious! I loved the mix of flavors and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the green sauce that came on the avocado and asked for more on the side. The portion was huge so I took half to-go. This place would be great for groups because there are a lot of things on the menu that would be great to share: many small appetizers, ceviches, and various meat/seafood + rice and bean dishes which were all big enough to share. Would have loved to try more but didn't since I was solo. Will definitely have to come back!

Run don't walk here: this is some of the best South American food I've had in the neighborhood! The food is some of the best Peruvian food I've had: very generous portions, really good prices, a huge diversity of food on your plate, and everything is delicious! I got a platter of various meats, with plantains, rice, black beans and avocado. The meats were marinated, tender, well-seasoned and just so, so good. The maduros (plantains) were juicy and more succulent than some of the meat; the black beans were soft and flavorful. Even the rice was great: not too starchy or sticky. If anything, the worst thing on the plate was the avocados because they weren't seasoned and couldn't compete with all the good food! I also had a happy hour margarita which was also very good, not like the slushies that you might find at other places. The service was polite and quick: I felt like really taken care of, and my waitress came back several times to make sure I had enough water and napkins, and wasn't left hungry. I will definitely be coming back here again: the food really is worth traveling for.

Ordered: Pastelito de Maduro con Queso (~$4) Lomo Saltado (~$28): sautéed skirt steak served with fries and rice Chaulafan (~$23): sautéed Asian-style rice with shrimp, steak, and chicken served with avocado and sweet plantains Tres Leches (~$14) Aya's take: Tozton is a fairly new restaurant in Astoria serving Peruvian food. The wait staff was super friendly and the portions were tremendous! We started off with one Pastelito de Maduro con Queso. It's similar to an empanada but larger and more round. It was sweet, savory, and nicely fried. The green spicy sauce on the side was so delicious! We asked for more of it to go with our actual meals. Lomo Saltado is my favorite Peruvian dish and this was spot on. The skirt steak was tender, well-seasoned, and had a good blend of tomatoes and onions in it. I liked that they didn't mix the fries in to keep them crispy (although technically that's not the traditional way). It was super delicious and priced well! The Chaulafan was also incredible! It's a simple, comforting fried rice and I loved that it had shrimp, steak, and chicken. The steak didn't taste as fresh and the shrimp lacked salt. The avocado and plantain were the cherry on top! They were 2 small but necessary ingredients to really elevate the dish. The Chaulafan went crazy with the green spicy sauce! The disappointing part was the Tres Leches. Not only was it ~$14 which is probably the most I've spent on a single slice but it didn't taste fresh at all. The sponge cake tasted a couple days old (like it had been sitting in the fridge). It was doused with condensed milk and was super sweet but it still wasn't enough to mask the cake itself. That wasn't worth it and I wouldn't recommend it either. Other than that, it was a good try and super filling meal.

Tozton is yet another of the many Latin American spots opening up on Broadway. An unassuming and low-key Peruvian/Venezuelan eatery serving many fish dishes is what we originally headed to try out. In fact, they were an accidental discovery when we first noticed them last year. As we were not very accustomed to this type of fusion dishes we tried some samplers -see photos -and basked in their very comfortable seating arrangements. On the Saturday we went, the place was almost dead so we had the waitress all to ourselves. Much of the interpretation of what we ordered needed some clarification, so recommendations were made according to the order of the day. There were also a few language problems, but they were easily overcome. Would I recommend them? Go there mid-afternoon at the weekends to get the best attention?

This place hit the spot on a Friday afternoon! We had passed by this place last week and were dying to try it. The setup is nice and clean. Because they just opened it was completely empty but as we were leaving, a couple was coming in. We will definitely be come back when they get their liquor license! Isabella was the best waitress! We started off with guacamole, chicharron and tostones and shared a Jalea. Everything was delicious! Their guacamole was fresh and creamy, the Jalea had a little bit of everything; fish, calamari, shrimp and yuca fries. Both portions were definitely worth it and were so filling we had to "walk it off." The menu is massive so there is definitely something for everyone!

I had the arroz chaufa con camarones. It was delicious. Thank you so much Vicky for such nice service
