Vegetarian Arepa
Karishma A.

**vegetarian review** I was looking for arepa place and found this. It was empty when I went in. The owner was nice - I got the vegetarian arepa - black beans, avocado, plantain. It's was hot and very filling. I enjoyed the food. Recommend stopping here.

I absolutely love this place. Its such a cute small restaurant but the food is so good. They have a couple of seats where you're able to dine in. I always order mines to go but, have seen people grab their food and eat it in there. I always order a [OG] Shredded Chicken Sweet Plantain Sandwich. Ughhhh!!! Soooo goood!!! Its filled with chicken, lettuce and cheese. Not a fan of tomatoes or pickles so i excluded those out. They automatically put it in there so if you're anything like me and don't eat those ingredients please ask them kindly not to put it in your food. The flavors all combine and gives you this mouth-watering experience. Flavorful & fulfilling. Have ate multiple times from this place and it never disappoints. 10/10 recommend.

Tequeños [cheese sticks]

This place is very small but do not sleep on it! The food was amazing. I ordered tequeños, which I absolutely loved, I do wish it came with guasacaca sauce though but the real star of the show is the Patacon Pisao Poutine! Oh my lord, I will easily be back for this and to try out other dishes!!

Pabellon Patacon

Came here because I saw a tik tok saying they had the best sandwich in the world. I don't agree but definitely top two in the city in my opinion. I got the pabellon patacon. It was really flavorful and juicy. It was pretty messy, but if stuff ain't falling out then it's probably not a great sandwich. I also got the tamarind juice to go along with my meal. A bit pricey but it was good. The service was quick and the people were chill. It was also a nice little area with some seating and tables. It's definitely worth going out to try.

Omg........ this was way too good. The slightly sweet slightly crunchy but hot and warm cachapa balances out the savory inside. All the salsas are great and I think this was the perfect form to get the vegetarian in. Only took 5 min to make. Couldn't recommend enough 10/10

Pabellon Cachapa

If you're in the mood from some Venezuelan street food you're in the right place! The cachapas are heavenly. I honestly don't even know which is my favorite, but the beef & pulled pork ones are my usual go to's. Travels surprisingly well so don't be afraid to get it delivered! The servers are always nice & helpful and if you decide to eat in the atmosphere is very casual. Great neighborhood spot.

Very heavy and hardy food. It's a good cozy winter take out spot. The famous fried plantain sandwich was really good but the oils were a bit much for me. I don't love friend things tho. The salad with pork was really good too and fresh. The meats are tasty!

Food was delicious, can't wait to go back and try more items! Had the Patacon Pabellon, it was great!

We happened upon this quaint, small restaurant. Clean and cozy with with metal stools (so grateful). Service with a smile and efficient. The food was so good. We ordered a breakfast burrito and a pabellon plantain sandwich. "Broke da mouth" as we would say in HI. A must if you are in the area!

My friend and I came for a late lunch on Tuesday. There were plenty of seats available, and we were seated close to the entrance. The staff was friendly, and our server in particular was clearly passionate about Venezuelan cuisine and was excited for us try to their dishes. My friend ordered their pulled pork arepa, and I ordered one of their rice plates. The arepa was filled to the brim. It was full of beans, meat, and topped with cheese. My plate was absolutely delicious and its aroma filled the restaurant. The meat was tender, well seasoned, and saucy. The plantains were pan fried to perfection, tender and sweet. The beans were flavorful. I could have just that with rice all day. Writing this review is making my mouth water. Maybe I should return there soon!

Food: solid 8/10 Service: 8/10…read more My only reason for the 3 star review is because this establishment charges gratuity without informing the person. There is clearly a tip option at the bottom so I ended up paying double tip. It is common practice for the restaurant to inform the consumer when they do this. The restaurant is open 24 hours and is the perfect place to go for those late-night cravings. One can sit at the full bar, in the dining area, or get items to go. The restaurant is always lively and patrons get seated quickly. The most I have ever waited for a seat is 5 minutes. There are more than 40 empanadas in corn or wheat shells to order. The menu celebrates diversity through its' empanada pairings. Greek - spinach pie, Cuban - ham, pork, and cheese, Americana - cheeseburger, Bombay - Curried chicken, Brasil - traditional ground beef, Hawaiian - ham, pineapple & mozzarella cheese and many more. Besides empanadas, there is a full menu of Colombian delights to eat including arepas, salads, sandwiches, soups, tacos and tapas. They have dessert empanadas as well. Love the USA empanada, which is apples & cinnamon baked and the Nutella & banana one. You can get it topped with ice cream as well. Really looking forward to my next visit.

It was too a big chunk of fried cheese with the jam. But overall would go anytime I get that late night food craving
