Cachapas de pollo con todo Limonada (Lemonade)

So this is actually a go to spot for me I love coming here when I am around the Dyckman area. The food here is so amazing especially after a club night it taste even better lol I usually come here and get the plantain sandwich called cachapa it's a sweet outside with chicken or any type of meat you decide with lettuce tomato and mozzarella cheese , super delicious. They also have empanadas and small appetizers that are also very good! The service here is alright I always end up getting this one Dominican guy if I'm not mistaken (he has long hair with a hair net on) that is very rude I can't lie; he is always in a rush from charging to letting me make my mind up and he does not make you feel welcomed but it's whatever I look past that and just order my food. He is the reason I gave the place 4 stars :( They do have seats indoor and outdoor , you can sit there and eat or Just take it to go I say the eating inside experience is pretty cool i usually like to eat it inside because the food is still hot who doesn't like their food freshly made and warm but overall I would definitely never stop coming here and getting my tummy full ! Give this place a try if you want good food

A friend recently introduced me to this spot and I cannot believe I've been missing out for this long! I ordered the pollo mechado patacones and it was literally the best thing I've eaten in a long time! The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful and the patacones was fried to perfection. The restaurant is small with some seating but I was there on a rainy weekday so we had the place to ourselves and the service is prompt.

The absolute best cachapas and arepas I've ever had. Great for hangovers or lazy days! Every cachapa is filled to the brim and loaded up with deliciously seasoned meat and other toppings. Cannot go wrong with anything on the menu here. I dream about this place. Inside are just casual run of the mill tables, but you come here for the food not the decor!

Cachapas Y Mas is a Latino NYC landmark. If you know, you know. From savory comfort foods to Juices and Desserts, this Venezuelan gem in the Ridgewood section bordering Brooklyn and Queens is where you'll find what you're looking for. Definitely try their pollo and carne empanadas as well as their specialty Cachapas(sweet corn pancake) Sandwiches and my personal fave, The Yoyo(Sweet Plantain) Sandwich with mozzarella and Pernil(Roast Pork). Do Not come empty handed, do the right thing and tip these amazing workers for their awesome service and generously priced delicacies.

The food is amazing. Its fresh and they give a great portion. The place is clean and has seating to eat in. They have so many options on the menu that choosing one thing is hard cause everything sounds so good. Definitely recommend getting a cachapa

I thought this place had plate of food and drinks like to sit down on a Saturday night. It looked like little tapas only n breads and sweets on my quick trip to try the empanadas. They were A+ really good chicken and beef. I parked outside and they looked closed but they were open.

My friends who moved to Bushwick recently shared if we would like to try the best sandwiches in the neighborhood, Cachapas y Mas is a must. They serve 7-8 styles of Venezuelan sandwiches with various ingredients. We ordered one of each and 2 bags of finger food, Tequeyoyo & Cheese Pastelito to share with a group of 8 people. The portion was more than enough with super reasonable price. The food was an amazing hit and our favorites were Cachapas, which was made by corn pancake & Patacon, which was wrapped with double-fried plantain. Both cheesy snack was also really delicious and satisfying.

This place has popped up on my feed on Instagram a BUNCH of times while looking through what's trending. It wasn't until around the fifth time I said to myself, " OK, let's see what the fuss is all about." First, this place is super cute, and has a decent amount tables to dine in. If there is room, and you have the time, I suggest you enjoy your meal on site. This is counter service, and the woman behind the counter was super nice and was great at explaining the menu items. I wish I could have tried one of each but I ended up with the Carne Asada Yoyo. This is a sandwich with flattened sweet plantains as the outer layer of the sandwich. They have an array of items that you can fill your sandwich with from just cheese to chorizo and a whole lot more. My sandwich came out fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious. The sweet plantains paired very well with the savory carne asada. I was also pleasantly surprised at the amount of meat that was in this sandwich. This was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back to try an arepa, empanada and everything else on their menu.

Only ordered delivery, but anything I've ever gotten here has been so insanely good. If you haven't tried it you should. Delicious

Well, now. Finding truly authentic Venezuelan cuisine wasn't on my 2026 bingo card (as the cool…read morekids say), but I'm definitely stamping this square. Dios mio, what a meal! There was not a bad bite to be had. We might've cut the roofs of our mouths with the crisped-to-perfection Patacón, but I don't care--I think all sandwiches should be encased in fried plantain instead of bread. And the succulent pernil filling? Dios mio otra vez! Though, tbf, when is pernil ever a bad choice? Then there was the stuffed-to-the-brim Cachapa filled with carne mechada and Venezuelan cheese. It was enormous. Like, Jesus pulling from the neverending fish basket enormous. It never ended. We had to take it home. But before we did, I practically ate all of the arepa, which was the sweetest, bursting-with-corn-flavor arepa I've ever had outside of South America. It was so good, I practically cried with every bite. Tears of corny joy, mind you. We got an entree of grilled fish (Filete de Pescado a la Plancha), which came with a complimentary side--in our case, arroz amarillo cuz I gotta have my grains. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, meltingly tender on the inside. As with everything else, it was also way bigger than it had any right to be. Finally, we ended with what we THOUGHT would be a small item--the Arepa Arcoiris Llanero--but we were mistaken. It was stuffed so full of fresh avocado, shredded chicken, and various veggies that it had to be further encased in a paper wrapper for fear of the arepa wrap giving up on its job. We didn't make it more than a few bites before having to regretfully pack it home, but those few bites were chef's kiss. Venezuela has long been on my bucket list (who doesn't want to see Mount Roraima or Angel Falls?), but until I can get there, I'll be more than happy to "settle" for coming to this beautifully modern paradise of culinary delights. Throw in the huge portions and unbelievably low prices, and it's kind of a no-brainer to make the trip.

The service wasn't too bad, my cup ran empty every now and then but wasn't egregious. Let's talk presentation, the way drinks and food come out is clearly something the head of Maracaibo wanted to place extra detail on. Though the extra presentation is a bit gimmicky, it still got the job done for the most part. The sampler came in a giant Ferris wheel contraption. Not pictured, but my cocktail came with floating cotton candy. Nevertheless, the food was still incredible. The sampler is a must, not only for the presentation, but for the delicious eats that can push you out of your comfort zone. For first time Venezuelan eaters the amount of ways plantain could be prepped and served may be jarring, but I would encourage bravery and just try everything and anything you can on the sampler. Each bite was worth it! Let's talk main entrees, you won't be disappointed by the portions. If you enjoy plantain, definitely go for the patacon - if not, I'd suggest holding off as you may get your fill of it elsewhere. The skirt steak (churrasco) was cooked to my liking, went well in my patacon sandwich. It is massive, I couldn't eat it all - had to take some back. Onto the arepa bowl. Though the contents of the bowl instead could be something you may get elsewhere (like Chipotle for example), it's the addition of the arepa bowl blended with the flavors of everything else and the sauces they drizzle on top that completes this dish. It's unique and it screams for you to taste and pay attention. Overall - great foods, great ambiance, great people. Bit gimmicky but it is what it is.

My friend and I came for a late lunch on Tuesday. There were plenty of seats available, and we were seated close to the entrance. My friend ordered their pulled pork arepa, and I ordered one of their rice plates. The arepa was filled to the brim. It was full of beans, meat, and topped with cheese.
