If you're in the mood from some Venezuelan street food you're in the right place! The cachapas are heavenly. I honestly don't even know which is my favorite, but the beef & pulled pork ones are my usual go to's. Travels surprisingly well so don't be afraid to get it delivered! The servers are always nice & helpful and if you decide to eat in the atmosphere is very casual. Great neighborhood spot - tastes identical to the one in LES!

I had a plantain sandwich in Aruba and I was so happy when I found this spot! I wish instead of it being a fried plantain, I wish it was the soft plantains, but regardless it was still delicious! I do plan on coming back to explore other items on the menu! The service was also great, the store is small but it has indoor and outdoor seating available.

I saw this as one of the recommendations from Righteous Eats, and I'm so glad that I got to try it. The patacon is amazing. It was my first time having one, and I'm so glad I had it here. It was so delicious, I practically inhaled it. I got a create your own patacon with pork and the basic toppings with no extras. The sandwich is super messy. The meat juices just drip along with all the other sauces. The meat is so tender. I believe the pork is pernil. It's flavored to perfection. The plantains don't have much flavor, but it works well as the bread. It's greasy, filling, comforting. It's something that everyone should try at least once. Only disappointing thing is that the fried queso blanco is tiny compared to the massive patacon portion. The staff speak Spanish with limited English at this location, but they have an order ahead as well as computerized ordering stations on premise.

Had this bookmarked for a while. You don't come across Venezuelan food often here, so I've been wanting to stop for quite some time. While they do specialize in Patacon, I was ecstatic to see that they had arepas and cachapas as well. I ordered the 2 meats Patacon, a cachapa paisa and tequeños to share. Almost cried when I thought they didn't have tequeños, which are essentially these fried cheesy bread-ish sticks. They came in a set of 3 and they're actually listed in the appetizers section. I wish they also had the tequeños con guayaba tho but it's cool. A Patacon is a platanos sandwich and they have a lot of pre-set fillings or you can customize it and choose whatever you want inside. We opted for the two meats one and added an avocado in it (which is an additional charge). The cachapa paisa was sooo good and I highly recommend trying it if you like the sweet and savory combination; the paisa was loaded with grilled steak and they had an egg and avocado at no additional cost. My only gripe was the wait time. Seemed like it took a while for our order, but everything was pretty fresh and seemed like it was made on the spot! There's a good amount of tables and a set of a bar table along the window if you want to dine-in, but we just did take out and ate outside LOL

Was in the mood for a pulled pork sandwich but then I remembered seeing the stuffed arepa with pulled pork from this spot and I got it. Arepa was delicious, different than what I have had at other places but it definately hit the spot. Pork was seasoned well.

Came here with family on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It's cheerful and small inside - maybe seating for 10 at tabletops and four to six at a counter that faces the street. There are some questionable stickers on the doorpost for young children who can read (avert their eyes or be ready to have some conversations). Service was gracious - you can order ahead of time and will be notified when it's ready. The food is solid. We had: Chicken empanadas - three to an order and freshly fried cornmeal shell, stuffed with juicy, shredded chicken and a bit of potato. Yucca fries (plain but the loaded ones looked good) - delicious when freshly fried. Pulled pork rice bowl - served with the juiciest and perfectly seasoned pulled pork, white rice and a mountain of black beans with shredded quest blanco on top. The portions are huge! A vegetarian patacon - loved the addition of the sweet plantain and the avocado working together. With the black beans and cheese. These are customizable- next time we'll add the sour pickle for a few cents - it could have used some vinegar to cut the richness of the other ingredients. Highly recommend this establishment for a tasty and quick Venezuelan meal.

My friend and I wanted to try l the Venezuelan food. The lady at the front was very friendly but spoke no English, my friend got by ordering for us.. Then I ordered some sort of burrito Tacucho then the lady didn't understand what I was saying so she made it with Bacon which I don't eat and when I asked for it to be remade she could barely understand me then when my friend translated she said she only can remove the Bacon but not remake me a new one! Which I found bizarre! The food was Good but I wish that can have someone to whom we can talk to and explain what we need to avoid such misunderstandings! Good Food but not coming back for sure!

I walked in here not knowing what to expect at the restaurant. Just know there's no restroom or sink for patrons to wash their hands. They do have hand sanitizers and wipes, but personally I prefer washing my hands. Anyways, I got a tequeno which is cheese wrapped in dough since it comes with a free check-in on yelp. It was yummy especially with sauce on the side. I also tried a sampling of their empanadas. Not bad. For my order, I had to get what they're known for which is the patacon sandwich. I got one that they have on their menu - the llanero one which has steak, onions, and cheese sauce. I tasted way too many onions on this sandwich. They wrote out what is a patacon and apparently it's two green plantains breaded to form a sandwich. It was a bit messy to eat, but glad they served it in aluminum foil wrapping. All in all I'll be returning to try other items, but probably when I already washed my hands and don't have to use the restroom.

Again, I had to stop in for dessert after going to Tommy Thai next door! It was pretty busy tonight so I did have to wait, Saturday nights are pretty busy! They have $10 card minimum so I got the tres leches & tamarind juice - both were tasty as usual! Keep up the great work Guys! Also thank you so much for dessert tonight!

Ordered for pickup and it was ready exactly on time. Our first time going. CYO Rice bowl was ok but flavor of all ingredients was a little bland. Beef empanadas and Tres Leches were good. Giving 4 stars because the Patacon Paisa sandwich was very flavorful.

I've been coming here since they had a food truck back in 2016-17 ish. But customer service today was horrible. The last time I was here, I was fighting over extra sauce. They didn't give me any than wanna charge, no problem. I left. Today at 2120 (9:20 pm), I went in to use a 3-dollar off coupon they sent me. I called before and asked if I could use it. The lady couldn't understand a word I was saying. I walk into the store, and I tell her you have an option on your computer to add it. The coupon doesn't say store or online. I told her it's not fair for me to get charged to use your app if I'm right in front of you and I can order. I'm all for giving immigrants jobs, but when they can't speak English, it's a problem. I'm asking to speak to a manager, and you are telling me no. Who are you to tell me no? I am an immigrant myself, but if you are going to have a cashier, at least have them understand English. To make matters worse, you pushed me away from your store and closed your register even tho you told me you closed at 2200 (10 p.m.). She needs customer service etiquette. I don't usually write these types of reviews, but when you treat me like shitt as a customer, now I have to write reviews like these, especially if I waste 1 hour of my time to come to your restaurant.

Well, now. Finding truly authentic Venezuelan cuisine wasn't on my 2026 bingo card (as the cool…read morekids say), but I'm definitely stamping this square. Dios mio, what a meal! There was not a bad bite to be had. We might've cut the roofs of our mouths with the crisped-to-perfection Patacón, but I don't care--I think all sandwiches should be encased in fried plantain instead of bread. And the succulent pernil filling? Dios mio otra vez! Though, tbf, when is pernil ever a bad choice? Then there was the stuffed-to-the-brim Cachapa filled with carne mechada and Venezuelan cheese. It was enormous. Like, Jesus pulling from the neverending fish basket enormous. It never ended. We had to take it home. But before we did, I practically ate all of the arepa, which was the sweetest, bursting-with-corn-flavor arepa I've ever had outside of South America. It was so good, I practically cried with every bite. Tears of corny joy, mind you. We got an entree of grilled fish (Filete de Pescado a la Plancha), which came with a complimentary side--in our case, arroz amarillo cuz I gotta have my grains. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, meltingly tender on the inside. As with everything else, it was also way bigger than it had any right to be. Finally, we ended with what we THOUGHT would be a small item--the Arepa Arcoiris Llanero--but we were mistaken. It was stuffed so full of fresh avocado, shredded chicken, and various veggies that it had to be further encased in a paper wrapper for fear of the arepa wrap giving up on its job. We didn't make it more than a few bites before having to regretfully pack it home, but those few bites were chef's kiss. Venezuela has long been on my bucket list (who doesn't want to see Mount Roraima or Angel Falls?), but until I can get there, I'll be more than happy to "settle" for coming to this beautifully modern paradise of culinary delights. Throw in the huge portions and unbelievably low prices, and it's kind of a no-brainer to make the trip.

The service wasn't too bad, my cup ran empty every now and then but wasn't egregious. Let's talk presentation, the way drinks and food come out is clearly something the head of Maracaibo wanted to place extra detail on. Though the extra presentation is a bit gimmicky, it still got the job done for the most part. The sampler came in a giant Ferris wheel contraption. Not pictured, but my cocktail came with floating cotton candy. Nevertheless, the food was still incredible. The sampler is a must, not only for the presentation, but for the delicious eats that can push you out of your comfort zone. For first time Venezuelan eaters the amount of ways plantain could be prepped and served may be jarring, but I would encourage bravery and just try everything and anything you can on the sampler. Each bite was worth it! Let's talk main entrees, you won't be disappointed by the portions. If you enjoy plantain, definitely go for the patacon - if not, I'd suggest holding off as you may get your fill of it elsewhere. The skirt steak (churrasco) was cooked to my liking, went well in my patacon sandwich. It is massive, I couldn't eat it all - had to take some back. Onto the arepa bowl. Though the contents of the bowl instead could be something you may get elsewhere (like Chipotle for example), it's the addition of the arepa bowl blended with the flavors of everything else and the sauces they drizzle on top that completes this dish. It's unique and it screams for you to taste and pay attention. Overall - great foods, great ambiance, great people. Bit gimmicky but it is what it is.
