I was pleasantly surprised with the empanadas here. I didn't expect much but this just became one of my favorite empanada spots. I very much enjoyed the Irby, specifically. Something told me to get it and I don't even like shrimp. I really loved this. And the way the empanadas taste with the sauces, truly perfect together. I wish I got more. I also got the pabellon. This was also yum. I don't know the name of the orange sauce, but it paired really well with that one. Having a sweet plantain crust is a very interesting. It wasn't as durable as a regular empanada. You can't go wrong with an empanada and these didn't disappoint. They had gf options so I went with a few (in order of preference): - Sweet Plantain Pabellón was by far my favorite. The sweetness from the plantain mixed with the savory shredded beef was a magnificent combo - Corn Carne Mechada, similar to the above, the shredded beef was very flavorful - Corn Pollo, this was your basic chicken empanada so solid choice but nothing stood out, I wish it had cheese - Corn Pollo en Mole Rojo, I didn't really like the flavor profile and wouldn't order again They all came with sauces that were all so good and went very well with the empanadas. They had a spicy one, green one (avocado?) and pink (ketchup/mayo). The cashier was really nice and recommended some to try. They were out of the oxtail at the time. They fried up the empanadas fresh and were done pretty quickly. I do wish they would have labeled the empanadas so I knew what I was eating. The store is pretty small but there is seating and a bathroom. All of my friends enjoyed their empanadas as well and we would all go back! read more

This is a small spot but the three of us loved it. For dining in, I personally don't recommend more than 3 (maybe 4, you can look at photos of the seating) but you could also take out and sit in a nearby park. I am an empanada fan, it's truly one of my favorite foods and they have an assortment of flavors to enjoy. Our favorites as a group varied - someone really liked the oxtail and mole, I really liked the potato and cheese and the pabellon. We also tried the morir soñando because I'm chasing the high of one I had at a cuchifritos spot in the Bronx and it might be a matter of preference, but this one was just okay to me. Maybe some of the best empanadas I've ever had. Each one was different in its own way but so delicious. I'd highly recommend coming with a friend and trying all 6 empanadas in the flight box. The sauces were also really good. This is more of a grab and go type spot but there's a little bit of seating and a restroom in the back if you're dining in. Do I recommend this place? Are you kidding me? BEST VENEZUELAN EMPANADAS IN NY! Accidentally came here after getting pizza next door (YES, you MUST go there too!!) and I can't stop dreaming about their cheese (and potato) empanadas paired with their pink sauce and green sauce. OH EM GEE The first bite of their perfectly crisp empanada took me to Venezuela. And wow, what a trip my taste buds took. Getting to the potato and cheese filling with the almost sweet ish corn flour doing, is what makes their empanadas so perfect. I had no idea the perfect empanadas existed right in NY, and after coming to L'Industrie so many times and seeing Titi's I now can never ever not come to eat empanadas here. After a night out, we needed some food and my friend randomly realized this place sold empanadas and he opened up our taste buds to the best empanadas, and I'm so glad he did! On the menu: cachapas, tequeños, empanadas and more. Can't wait to come back for more empanadas and some of the most delicious Venezuelan street food staples. Best golfeados I've had thus far in New York! Everything I tried here was delicious, affordable, and served with friendliness from the staff. Ambience is a clean low-key diner-counter seating style. It feels aged, homey, and somewhat indie - but it would be good to see this place gets a little touch-up (I wasn't too thrilled to see the Venezuelan cuatro looking banged up on the wall). No mandocas here, but they have piñitas to go with coffee (but sadly was out of it when I was here). Good Cuban coffee. Some Puerto Rican merchandise, Cuban sandwiches & coffee and Dominican drink(s) on the menu (Morir soñando but with passion fruit instead of orange?) - maybe as a tribute to the origin of Cachapas y Mas that, I believe, got its start in the Dominican barrio of Washington Heights. I also got a chance to try the tequeños which were good and well-sized (but I like the dough a bit"bubbly" if you know what I mean). Cachapas were also good although I'd like to see the cachapa a bit more thicker especially considering the amount of queso de mano cheese that gets put in - not sure if this is possible since cachapas seem to be premade and they only needed to be warm up on the griddle. But with the nata or Venezuelan sour cream that comes with it, it's still a tasty treat! Plantain-based empanadas are a bit new to me, but with the pabellon filling, it's quite tasty. Overall, I would definitely return and try out more things including the pan de jamón they have on the menu - and of course, to get more of those golfeados! This might become my regular hang-out if I get to live close by here! read more

We were wandering through the neighborhood trying to find a quick snack and came across Titi's. What a gem! Well priced items, lovely service with a smile and delicious empanadas! I had the caramelized onion / mushroom and the jerk shrimp. He had the chopped beef with cheese and the chopped chicken with cheese - so good he ordered another. Maybe it's what I ordered because all the reviews seem great but I have to disagree with others. I ordered the arepa pernil Aguita e Sapo, and I was so disappointed. The arepas were way too oily and crispy I couldn't bite into it properly. It was like biting into a Chicharon. The pernil was shaved meat and more like a jerky so I was so saddened to see that type of meat used. I also didn't get the "Aguita" it's said to come with. The only amount of moistness I got was from the overly greased arepas and mustard on the L&T so I highly do not recommend that dish. I also tried the empanadas, the carne molida was very oily and not to my liking. The pollo and cheese were definitely the best part of my entire order. I don't think this is the place for me. Oddly I love the owners other restaurants (Chachapas y Mas) but as for this little shop they have, I'm not satisfied with what I received. I'm not opposed to giving it another try in the future but all the oils definitely made me queasy. read more

I went for the white cheese variety, which I believe is filled with queso Guayanes - one of my favorite fresh cheese varieties. While Titi's focuses primarily on Venezuelan food offerings, they also serve an excellent variety of Cuban coffees. I greatly enjoyed all the beef variations, especially the one that had the shredded beef and beans filling. I woke up with a blistering hangover. It didn't come as a surprise given my behavior the night before, but nonetheless I was unprepared. Naturally I spent a couple hours in bed, torturously hangxious, contemplating my lack of self control. Many thoughts ran through my mind. Everything from guilt at the fact that my dad was a married father of two at my age, to my embarrassing inability to have a couple drinks. Through this mist of self-loathing, I was able to grasp onto the one practical thought my thoroughly punished mind could muster: I need food. I was immediately pulled in two directions: Szechuan or Latin. I knew I wanted spice, but wasn't sure in what form. Out of pure convenience, I decided on the latter as I knew there was a good spot (Titi's) round the corner. I was hopeful off the bat. The staff were friendly, but undeniably infected with a disinterest that comes only from the knowledge that the food will speak for itself. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, three empanadas (1 corn, 1 flour, 1 plantain), and got a beer to take the edge off. The beer was great. Ice cold and sweating the moment it left the fridge. I savoured it, unusually for me. So much so that I failed to realise my food was taking an age. I asked the staff (I didn't manage to catch either of their names) how my order was coming along and a look of slight panic took over one of their faces, as she realised my order had been put with the deliveries. Hurriedly, they figured out which was mine and handed it to me. I was far too hungover and weak to make a fuss. Besides, I was confident I'd be satisfied regardless. I walked the 5 minutes home and opened the various bags to reveal my bounty. It was glorious. The sandwich looked crispy and crunchy in the best way, and the empanadas, particularly the platano, had me salivating. The Cubano was everything I wanted it to be: crunchy and salty with a nice vinegary kick from the mustard and pickles (usually I ask for without but I forgot). The platano empanada slapped, however the other two were a little disappointing. Not bad by any means, but I guess my expectations were high. Overall, good place would recommend. But don't expect any life-changing. That being said, it more than does the job. 4/5. read more

Absolutely delish! We did a similar thing that a review below did. Headed to that famous pizza place around the corner and it was packed. We didn't want to wait, so we settled on the next closest place - which we were happy was this place! They serve empanadas that are both wheat based or plantain or corn, and everything was very wonderful at a great place. My significant other got a bunch of meat empanadas, and I stuck with the spinach and cheese. The employees were way too kind as well. Williamsburg needs more places like this that improve the food diversity around here! read more
