Loved the scrambled egg breakfast burrito!! The green chile inside is legit and truly makes the burrito so delicious. The size is huge and very filling. We ordered online and picked it up, but I'd love to sit down and enjoy my meal here as well. Employees were very friendly and greeted us immediately. We also tried the vegan burrito which was good as well, but more of a lunch/dinner burrito than breakfast. Either way both were delicious
Known for breakfast burritos, they definitely didn't fall short. Super filling, fluffy eggs, chewy tortilla, it's a great all around burrito. We tried the bacon and the carne adobada burrito. Bacon was ok but the carne adobada meat was moist, saucy and so flavorful. Would get again. There's a backyard space I didn't get a chance to see, but keen to next time. Did takeaway so can't speak to the service but the person who took my order was very nice.
First time at this location and I was excited to revisit some old favorites while trying a few new things. We arrived around 10am on a Sunday and lucked out with a table right away, which felt like a small miracle since there aren't many tables. The vibe is laid back but full of personality. My table of two shared the carne adovada breakfast burrito (hash browns, scrambled eggs, cheddar, red chile pork, and red chile), chilaquiles (red chile, beans, pickled onions, Oaxacan cheese, and a perfectly cooked fried egg), plus a side of hash and an iced cortado. The chilaquiles were saucy, spicy, and deeply satisfying, with just the right amount of heat. The burrito was delicious too (especially that flour tortilla!), and a bit milder, which made it the perfect excuse to try the hot sauce on the table. Comforting, bold, and exactly what I want from a weekend breakfast.
This place has been on my list for so long, we finally went and sat out in their lovely back patio on picnic benches. It didn't take too long to seat a table of 5 with no reservation, and service was fairly quick and responsive, the servers were quite friendly. I got the carne adovada breakfast burrito, and I have to say I think they've perfected the art of the burrito. The outer tortilla was perfectly crispy, the potatoes inside were flavorful, the meat was tender, perfect ratio of cheese to scrambled egg. I'm such a fan of sour cream or some sort of sauce usually, but the flavor on the inside of the burrito made it unnecessary. It was a tad spicy but I didn't mind. Not too expensive either, and very filling. I tried a bite of my friend's pancakes too and they were so lovely and different! Would try those next time as well, but if you want a good brek burrito look no further.
I was craving a breakfast burrito for weeks and found this place online. We got here shortly after 10 and it was pretty crowded outside and inside. Once inside we were informed we could only order burritos and some other item but I don't recall which as we came for the burritos anyway. We ordered two bacon burritos for around 29 dollars and were informed the wait would be 20-25 mins. We decided to go for a walk and came back just before 20 minutes. My husband went inside to check and it wasn't ready but they informed us they would bring it out. About 10 mins later I went inside and was told it still wasn't ready. At this time the crowd outside lessened a bit, same for inside. After about 45-50 minutes our order finally came out. Needless to say we were annoyed. We dug in inside the car. The burrito was a little burnt on the outside but it wasn't bad. The first few bites were spicy but good I realized I didn't taste any of the potato and barely got bacon. As I continue to eat the burrito I realized that they didn't layer the ingredients well. All the potato was at the bottom. The bacon was more so in the middle and there was barely any egg at the bottom. All in all I probably won't be back. I don't think the burrito was worth a 45+ minute wait however the flavors are there they just need better execution and wait times. Definitely stop by if you're in the area !
We heard great things about Ursula so we gave it a try. The main downfall was the wait and it took a bit to get our food. However, the breakfast burritos were very delicious and flavorful! I got the bacon and my husband got the other meat option. We also ordered the horchata tea but it was pretty watered down, we weren't a fan. If you're in the area and have time definitely order a breakfast burrito!
such a lovely little vibe in there guys. whoever was on aux needs a kiss on the forehead. i came in friday morning and our burrito took like 40 mins to come out but highkey once we took our bites all of the waiting was so worth it. me n my partner are from california so trust and BELIEVE we know what a good burrito tastes like. this is a good burrito. also the churro donut was FIRE! we were craving churros n this hit the mf spot lol

Ursula* would be on my list of Brunch places to dine on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Ursula is located in beautiful Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood on a tree lined street, Madison (so lovely!) I entered and immediately knew this was the right place. I had a choice of seating: table, bar or garden. It was a beautiful sunny day so I chose the garden. The breakfast burrito is one of the must get meal here, thus I ordered it . There are options as to how you want it prepared: bacon, chorizo, regular or vegan. I headed to the garden and enjoyed the fresh air and vibe. The garden is small but there is ample seating. My burrito was ready and I dug into it: the melted Cheddar was delicious, fluffy scrambled eggs, green chiles and hash browns in a flour tortilla. All ingredients were in sync, delicious and generous portion. You can order spirits such as Tequila, Bourbon and Micheladas to wash this spicy bad boy down. There is a very nice Spirits menu. Additionally, from 11:30am- close, lunch options range from a spicy tuna melt, cheeseburger, various wraps, GF fried chicken and salads. Desserts include brioche doughnuts, Arroz con leche with spiced cherry compote and blue corn scones. Wow! There of course will be a next time to try all of these options. The staff are great, friendly and attentive. I had to try this place because ive heard amazing rhings about their breakfast burritos. I placed an order online and set up a pick up time. I got the bacon egg breakfast burrito. When I arrived my order was hot and ready. I got the green salas on the side and you can't get this burrito without it. There was a good amount of filling inside, but it was smaller than I thought it would be. Overall it was a solid breakfast burrito!
Been trying to get here for brunch but it's always packed and I'm not sure if they take resi's. It's local to the crib so we rolled the dice and stopped by. Today was our lucky day and instead of brunch we landed on the dinner menu around 6 (I think they close for an hour between 5-6 for family meal). The food, the ambiance and the service were great and the staff love our little guy, everyone came by to our table to say hi I think because of him! the place is vibes on vibes!! Go here the food was unique, carefully prepared and delicious. We'll be back!!
Among the popular New Mexican/SW restaurants in the city, I would rank Ursula #2 behind Santa Fe BK and ahead of Yellow Rose. The vegetarian breakfast burrito here is a beast, and has a hearty melange of crispy hash browns, scrambled eggs, and cheese. While I enjoyed the green chili salsa on the side, I think I prefer when the breakfast burrito features them mixed into the eggs for a more even bite. All in all, a good call for a hangover cure in Bed-Stuy!

My boyfriend and I ordered: + Chorizo burrito - excellent + Blue corn pancakes - highlight #1 + Rainbow cookie - highlight #2 + Rosewater concha - great + Blue corn lime sugar cookie - highlight #3 + Mesquite chocolate chip cookie - excellent + Iced horchata tea latte - little watery, would skip next time Food took a while (they got slammed during brunch rush) but overall awesome. They're also on InKind! 4.5 stars. P.S. Don't miss the mirrored bathroom!
Best breakfast burrito in the city!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect hangover cure or just the perfect breakfast before bopping around BedStuy. Don't sleep on the spicy peanut chocychunk cookie! Fabulous! The flat white is well executed and comes in a super cute cup. Burrito - get the Carne Adovada w no cheese!! Ask for cholula on the side. Service is great. I love that even on a busy Saturday brunch you can walk in and sit at the bar for a front row seat of the magic. Great to have bomb New Mexican cuisine in BedStuy! read more
The carne adovada breakfast burrito was a littleee overhyped for me. They were good and tasty but wouldn't necessarily come back for them - I think they were a bit too heavy/rich, especially with potatoes. The watery looking hot sauce was nice though, as well as the horchata latte. I also tried a special "hot pot" burrito (a collab with Natasha Pickowicz) which was pretty unique but preferred the classic. Was quoted a 45 min wait but got a table within 15 on a Saturday afternoon a couple weekends ago. read more

A really great breakfast burrito. I was recommended the red chile pork (carne adovada), which is saucy, and has just the right ratio of thick scrambled eggs, hash browns and cheddar. The inside is intimate with a few tables, not many. I'd come back to try the green chile burrito. read more

We visited Ursula on a Sunday for brunch. It was really packed when we got there, but they were able to see us at the bar, which was amazing. We ordered the pancakes, the roasted corn salad and the beignets. Everything turned out really well, I especially liked the blue corn pancakes as well as the roasted corn salad. The place is packed and buzzing, but they also make excellent drinks as well as have really good coffee options so I would definitely come back here to try out their other brunch dishes, as well as lunch or dinner. read more
Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Experience: 4/5 I made a reservation for dinner, and my party of two was seated immediately (a reservation was unnecessary there was a decent amount of seating). I ordered the chips and queso and the quesadillas. The portion size for the chips and queso was generous, but the chips were a bit on the oily side. Otherwise the queso was thick and creamy. The quesadillas were ok. I'm not sure I was a fan of the taste combination, but it was interesting to try it with a cheese that is more string cheese like in texture. read more

I think that this type of breakfast burrito isn't for me - I added beans to mine but I think if there wasn't any beans I would have thought it was just meh. The eggs were cooked nicely though and they have great coffee. Service was pretty quick even though they are packed on the weekends. It's a quaint place. read more

Ursula, please get your shit together. Two out of three of the most recent orders I've placed with Ursula (including today) have been incorrect. In place of the vegetarian burrito I ordered, I received a bacon burrito the first time and a chorizo burrito the second time! Both times, the bag has been marked correctly with my name and order and even the tag on the burrito indicated "Veg Egg" the first time, but neither time has it contained my correct order. This on its own is annoying, but good luck trying to get in touch with them. They have a phone number, but it goes straight to voicemail. They have a "Contact Us" form, but they don't check it. They have an email and again, you guessed it, they don't check it! Normal places are apologetic and quick to respond when they're the one that made a mistake, however not Ursula! When Ursula messed up my previous order, I checked in with them multiple times, through all 3 forms of contact available to me. What happened? 2 days after my order, they still hadn't responded to me. I needed to walk over to the store to get a refund. Today, it's been over an hour since I contacted Ursula about my incorrect order (via email and "Contact Us"), but I still haven't heard back. If you like having to open up your burrito to check it every time before you leave the store or you enjoy places that ignore your dietary restrictions/allergies and then are completely unresponsive when it comes to resolving the issue, then Ursula's the place for you! read more

The chorizo breakfast burrito is the best I've had in NYC, and we also got the smothered vegetarian burrito, which was also great, but we both agreed the handheld version was better. Ursula is now in their new, larger space, and it was worth the wait. It's also worth the wait whether you want a table or are just grabbing a burrito to go. Be patient, and when your time comes, you will be rewarded. I dropped by with friends around noon last weekend and the place was full of customers, with many more standing outside. Despite what seemed like an impossible predicament, we somehow managed to finagle the next table that opened up, a comfy windowside four-top near a coatrack. We sent a delegate to place our order at the counter, then waited, as we were prepared to do. The sopaipillas came out first. In New Mexico, I like to save mine for the end of the meal, but we were hungry and dug right in. Fluffy pockets of fried dough just begging to be dipped in rich honey. The bakery side of this business is a force to be reckoned with. Then came the main event, breakfast burritos smothered in green chile. The lettuce and tomato garnish evoked fond memories of home, and I sawed right in with my fork and knife. Some people who've only had handheld burritos might not get the idea; some of them may even find the green chile too spicy. Fortune favors the bold, and this burrito bestows on the eater ecstatic visions of transcendence. If your soul leaves your body, it'll come back better than before. read more

Ursula has compelling food, but they need to get their shit together. Ursula popped up and went viral in 2022, serving phenomenally good New Mexican breakfast burritos out of a cramped, minimal space - more of a room, really - in Crown Heights. It was a heady time, a reminder of good things in the world as the detritus and fear of the COVID era in NYC began to recede. The burritos everyone lined up for would abruptly stop being served at noon; said lines were interminable; there was nowhere to eat; they ran out of things. But you could forgive it all; operating out of such a tiny space in the precarious post-pandemic environment brought obvious challenges, and one bite of a rose hibiscus donut or a green chile breakfast burrito was enough to forgive everything. Two years later, Ursula has grown up, or at least, it's trying to. It found a permanent, regular-restaurant-sized space, but they haven't managed to find their way to regular-restaurant service. When we arrived at 12:45 for Saturday brunch, the QR code menu noted that they were sold out of margaritas, chilaquiles, and the blue corn pancakes. More drinks disappeared from the menu throughout our meal. Who ever heard of a Mexican spot that runs out of chilaquiles or margaritas at brunch? You put your order in by phone and then someone drops it off at your table. Fine, I guess, but why did our baked goods come out in five minutes and the burritos, another 45 after that? Why did they start turning people away from brunch at 1:30 with empty tables when brunch went til 2? We had to flag waiters down to get more water, or check on our extra side of green chile. The whole experience made me wonder if Ursula would really rather just stick to selling takeout burritos out of a store front. The cookies and baked goods are still really, really good. My friend and I made a special pilgrimage for the blue corn lime sugar cookie, an instagrammable June-only delight. We also loved the pandulce and the jammy, moist rainbow cookie. But those burritos that made everything all right back in 2022 ... weren't the same. This morning, mine was missing an X factor. I remember it being drenched in green chile sauce but mine was almost dry, and it tasted like it could have been from any old breakfast burrito spot. I ordered some extra green chile sauce, but even that didn't remedy the anonymity. I wouldn't say no to another try on the burrito, just because I remember how great it was. Maybe I messed up my order, maybe something was lost in Ursula's translation, maybe it hasn't been gained back just yet. Or maybe, I mused to myself, an Ursula breakfast burrito needs to be torn out of an aluminum foil wrapper, consumed on one's feet, greedily wolfed down in a postage-stamp-sized cafe, right after the end of the world. read more

Oh man. Where do I even begin, I came across this place because I heard good things via Yelp. I figured that a 25 min wait for a breakfast burrito would be worth it if it was delicious. I was wrong. It was a close to 45min wait and the burrito I received was..ok. A average good burrito, but waited way too long. I was able to place a order quickly and waited. The place is incredibly loud and small, I enjoyed their music which was Beyoncé Renaissance tracks. So good job for that. Luckily we were able to snag bar stool sitting and had a view of the kitchen area. The one handling the burritos had a bandaid on his hand and had no gloves. I was disturbed. Upon the 35 min wait mark, I checked in and was told it would be right out. 10 minutes later, I had the burrito delivered to my table. I had the first bite and was like, "that's all?" It was lacking in cheese and there was no sauces added on the plate. I heard via the loud guest next to me that you can request to have the burrito "smothered" which will have the sauces added on top. This was not stated on the menu. Would be nice to know this in advance. The bathroom is messy and dirty, it appears the workers are too busy to clean it. You know you did not have a good dining experience when you're excited to leave. TLDR; if you wanna wait a long time for an average burrito, try this spot. $40 for 2 breakfast burritos, an iced coffee and an açaí donut. Be prepared to wait in a loud and small area. I was recommended to Ursula by a fellow foodie. And he attest that here and Foster Sundry were his top picks for breakfast burritos in NYC. And I have to tell you that I cannot disagree with him as far as Ursula (Haven't made it to Foster). Unfortunately, I had to experience this mouth watering chorizo burrito on the go. But it does not take away from the fact that it was well made. Perfect amount of layered cheesy egg, soft hashbrown, and yummy house made chorizo. My only regrets are that I didn't order the tortilla a little more crunchy and I didn't have ahogado style (smothered in red or green chile, cheddar, lettuce and tomato. The best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Granted, I don't really eat that many breakfast burritos. I came on the last day at the old location before their relocation. There was a wait to order and even a longer wait for you to get your food, but it was every worth it. The chorizo breakfast burrito was heavenly. I was expecting whole pieces of chorizo, but it came out more of a sloppy joe texture. However, it worked really well because it blended will all of the components of the burrito. The tortilla was one of the best I've had. It was super thin, and the way they finish it on the grill/pan made it really crispy. The grease was the best part. It was a tad spicy, but nothing to bad. There were bakery items, and they seem to run out relatively quickly, at least the ones I wanted to try. Not sure if that's affiliated with Ursula, or if it's a separate thing though. Their relocation is a bit more of a trek for me, but I can't imagine that stopping me from returning. read more
This place is a dream come true! I had tried their infamous breakfast burritos (such a fan, and sometimes they collab with chefs in the area to make special ones which have all been so good!) but this was my first time trying their dinner menu. All of the drinks my party got were DIVINE - you literally can't go wrong with any of them. We got the vegan chips and queso which was out of this world. The chips were so fresh and the queso had hatch chili in it, in true New Mexican fashion. Some other highlights were the hatch chili burger, fried squash blossoms, and the vegan nachos. Their staff is so incredibly kind and personable and gave great recs; I felt like I was chatting with friends I've known for ages. Huge plus that they're intentional about supporting local businesses through their ingredients, are vegan/veggie friendly, and are vocal about pertinent social justice issues. Go support this queer-owned business asap, you're in for a huge treat. read more
