I always go here for drinks to grab a frappe or caramel iced latte and they don't miss

Let me preface this by saying that Brooklyn Perk is a black-owned business and we definitely love seeing these businesses thrive. My daughter and I went this lovely Saturday morning to check them out and we were thrilled with the quality and service of the coffee shop. It's a cozy little spot where you can have a bite to eat along with your cup of coffee. There are a few tables along the wall that's graced with some amazing artwork. Towards the front there's a small sofa accompanied by two chairs and a small coffee table. Lovely setup! We ordered a Cappuccino, Americano, Lemon loaf cake, and a Cinnamon Coffee cake. The cakes were fresh and delicious and our coffee choices were equally delicious. You owe it to yourself to visit Brooklyn Perk. Oh, I forgot to mention, there are also two cute benches right outside the shop to sit and relax on a nice day...sipping away! read more

Ordered: Banana Latte (~$6) Aya's take: Decent coffee shop in the Prospect Heights area offering a lot of unique flavors for lattes! The Banana Latte caught my eye since I'm a sucker for banana. It tasted real (not like the Laffy Taffy candy) and was silky and smooth. Good try! read more

Brooklyn Perk is a chill cafe for a quick bite and relaxation. The staff is friendly and helpful. They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. I had a Cinnamon Coffee Cake with an Americano and they were amazing, I would definitely order them again. I went here today and while sitting on my computer working, a customer came in with a big dog that they could barely even control on its leash. It jumped up on the counter with its front paws not once but twice and the only barista working at the time started petting the dog and allowing it to sniff around on the counter and have its nasty paws where people order. I watched the barista not even wash her hands and began making a drink. The customer was never asked to get the dog down or that dogs that aren't service animals weren't allowed inside. As the customer went to pick up their order on the other end of the counter, it jumped back up and the barista rubbed it again. The customer and dog left and the barista didn't even wipe down the counter tops. If i wasn't on a work call, I definitely would've spoken up because that is EXTREMELY unsanitary to 1.) have animals inside that aren't service pets, 2.) allow them to be where food and drink orders are sat and 3.) pet said animal while you're on duty and not even wash your hands. You'll never catch me eating here again and if you have any semblance of cleanliness and hygiene, I suggest you don't either. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. read more

Vibes are always good, it's a small shop that doesn't have much seating. The intimacy is appreciated as you enjoy a fun little latte, and make eye contact with other guests and people passing by. I recommend the lavender latte and the one that contains "love" in the name. It's perfectly sweetened. read more

This was a first time excursion. The place had decent amount of seating but wobbly. It's not hard to mess up an Americano so my selection was pleasing. The internet was a bit spotty as my computer kept trying to reconnect which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it's a nice spot. Love the exposed brick. It could be a little more accessible as the entrance doorway is not flat. So anyone wheel-bound may have slight difficulty. read more

Glad I tried Brooklyn Perk. This is not my normal coffee establishment in Flatbush, but I love trying new little coffee spots. They have a large outdoor seating area located out front on their sidewalk. It's a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee/pastry and do some work on your laptop. A good menu selection!! I'm giving this review 4 stars because I don't like the espresso they use. I didn't get the name of the company, but the espresso was so bitter it was almost sour. Also giving 4 stars because my coffee date loved their iced coffee. I can't say this will be my new normal, but it's a great alternative to my regular spot! read more

Red velvet latte is crack. Smooth, creamy, and velvety. What a great cup of coffee! Space is very hipster and it sits a few people indoors as well as out. There are other specialty lattes on the menu: e.g London fog, banana, Messica, etc. Would be down to come over and try those! read more

The moment I stepped into Perk, I knew I had to buckle up. As I heard my seatbelt click, I felt the caffeinated rush take over my soul and my eyes were able to peer into the world I was always meant to see. As my new destiny stared back at me, making locking eye contact as I reached my full potential, I knew the $1 tip I left was not only effective, but life changing. Something in me changed. Great little cafe to stop by on a sweltering day. It's got some seats inside to shelter or outdoor seating. Their menu of drinks was eclectic & creative! I was impressed that they even served non-caffeinated frappes! They ran out of the lemon velvet & cookies n cream, but spiced chai was ideal! Alternative milks were avail & they even provided wifi :) I loved this cafe to chill & do some work. Would really come back here for sure. read more

You ever walk into a place and immediately feel right at home? The interior is a nice size. They had some fresh plants, beautiful art on the walls, and featured a Black owned candle company along with selling their own coffee! I met the owner and he was so down to earth and cool. I wanted something cold. It was a beautiful day and I was hot and needed something refreshing. I initially had been eyeing the passion fruit iced tea and the hibiscus cooler. But then...but then...the patron before me got a frozen frappacino. Omg y'all. It looked so damn good! (I can say Damn on Yelp right?...*as I think about all the 'damn's* ) I was like, okay! I got more reasons to come back! So I decided to get a vanilla frappe with rose syrup. You can customize the base flavors. I wanna try a vanilla banana frappe next time. It was lit but so cold at the same time. Ha! I was getting all the brain freezes. And happy doing it. If y'all ever had vanilla nutriment. It tasted like a frozen ice cream version. I was in heaven. Yassss. I will be back. Know this! Maybe I'll see you there and we can social distance wave at one another! Go getcha frappe. Go getcha coffee. Go getcha pastry. Go getcha iced tea! Just go getcha something. #GoGetcha Started by Anya Check out my foodie adventures on insta! @saltandsavor read more

This location is good, but my review is for the location on Parkside Ave- I LOVE working at this location. They have plenty of tables/chairs, outlets, and great WiFi. I usually get the chai, but I've always had the frappechinos are those are just as good. Do yourself a favor and also get the everything croissant, you won't be disappointed. The baristas are always so fast and friendly, and they even offer discounts on some refills. It's became my weekly spot. read more

I am a huge fan of this place. But I'll be honest, the first time I visited it was on a first date, and I didn't even go inside. I just got the coffee and we went to the park. Fast forward few months later, I just wanted to get out of my apartment in the morning and decided to come here for an Onyx latte. It was super tasty and was able to sit and read some emails before I left. They have good amount of seating inside and outside, though most people opt to take it to-go. They have doggie treats if you swing by with a dog as well. They offer ordering ahead online on Toast or you can also call and order on the phone. Staff is always amazing and super efficient. They answer all my questions and morning version of me. You guys are amazing! Overall I live 15 min walk to here and its worth the walk every time. There are days that I come by for quick grab and go coffee, and other days where I sit down and order a quick bite to eat. read more

This spot is definitely a hidden gem! I came here on a weekday evening to grab a cup of coffee and unwind. The owner was very warm and welcoming. I was impressed by the beautiful decor. This spot also offers a wide variety of drinks: specialty lattes and selections of coffee from different countries. I'm looking forward to coming back here in order to get some work done, or just mellow out. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

Found this place soon after moving to PLG and have spent many afternoons working here. I'm usually looking for reliable cold brew spots and this unfortunately isn't it for me, but their lattes are always solid. The only downside here is that space is very limited (about 10 seats in total at a coffeeshop that has people coming in and out pretty often) and the wi-fi oftentimes cuts out, which can be rough if you're relying on it to work, but nevertheless, if you want friendly service and good coffee, this place is a great one. read more

Went to four different coffee places on a Saturday morning visit to Brooklyn and only Brooklyn Perk was open. I'm glad we ended up there, because it was such a comfortable environment with amazing drinks and pastries! I enjoyed a London Fog latte with the almond lemon loaf, an incredible pairing made to perfection. We sat in for a bit enjoying ourselves, and it was clear the team running the place really knew what they were doing, were familiar with their regulars, and provided friendly service to every person (and pup! there were several pups!!) who walked in their doors. High key I've been enjoying cafes recently. There the perfect place to go for light refreshments if you're on the go like me . ‍ This past weekend I stopped by @brooklynperkcoffee because I had to go and support another Black-owned local business. It felt so cozy and warm just like their customer service. I met the owner Joel, shout out to him for his hospitality and welcoming me as a first timer. I ordered a large iced chai latte with oat milk and a vanilla cream doughnut. I loved the option of having the additional sweeteners and spices on the counter if needed. This café also offers gluten-free and vegan options if desired. They also sell candles, tote bags and cute decal stickers. Check them out if you're in Flatbush! If you're in the neighborhood of Lakeside at Prospect Park, this is the perfect stop after you skate/run/bike/whatever in the park. Cozy, relaxed vibe. As it was my first time, I just ordered "to go". The friendly barista recommended the vanilla pistachio latte. I also got a savory Danish with goat cheese and artichoke. I took them home and both were delicious! The latte not overly sweet, and the croissant-like pastry, once heated up, was one of the best baked goods I've had in awhile. Try this place if you want different flavored coffees--they offer many varieties not seen even in your typical mom-and-pop coffee bar. I'll be back! read more

Such a treat to still be able to enjoy a wonderful cup of latte in these times. Brooklyn Perk is very welcoming with their warm and cozy decor. Black-owned with a friendly owner, Joel. The only place I've been able to get an amazing Oat Milk Flat White in PLG. My husband really enjoyed his oat milk latte as well.

Stopped in for an afternoon pick me up. All of their flavors are vegan/GF and they have a cool collection of ones you don't see everyday like lavender, floral, peanut butter and others. I got the maple latte with oat milk. They usually have breakfast tacos but sold out earlier in the day. I got the banana but vegan muffin instead, one of four left of their baked goods. They have inside seating available mostly tables of two but there is one four top, along with tables outside. It didn't take long to get my drink so I chilled for a bit and read. It's real quiet inside which is nice and the drink was perfectly flavored without being too sweet. Definitely recommend. read more

I'm the type of person who if she can make coffee at home, will. I only indulge in coffee when I want something different, like a latte and so one day I was literally on a search for a 'special kind of latte.' I walked by the sign outside this shop listing their 'lavender lattes, banana lattes, etc.' and I was intrigued. One time I waited a bit since there is 3 person inside rule and another time I was able to walk in and snag a table outside. I've tried the lavender latte and rose latte so far. They are both a treat and somehow I feel super mellow drinking them. Maybe it is also the ambience and the good vibes from the workers? Either way, I am becoming a regular. read more

Great coffee shop near Prospect Park! I stopped by on a weekday morning and they were busy but got orders out very quickly. There was a good amount of seating both inside and outside, and it didn't appear too crowded as most customers were taking their orders to-go. They do offer order ahead which can help reduce your wait time if you're in a hurry. I got an iced matcha latte and was pleasantly surprised to see they had many flavoring options to add to your drinks. I chose the pistachio and it added the perfect amount of sweetness to my matcha. The cheddar and scallion scone was also delicious and I appreciate that they had both savory and sweet pastries along with vegan offerings. read more
