Everyone in the area talks about Ciao Bella. It seems to be a neighborhood/community favorite and I can see why. This place is an absolute cozy gem with incredibly kind and welcoming staff to complement it. We ordered quite the spread, with two pumpkin spice chai lattes, one oat latte, one chocolate croissant, one raspberry cookie, and a blueberry muffin. Everything was phenomenal. The chai lattes were milky with just the right amount of spice. The croissant was warm and flaky. The raspberry cookie was both sweet, tart, and a little bit salty-the perfect combination. The blueberry muffin was great and I loved the crumble on top. Everything came out to about $35. The two girls at the counter were so sweet and easy to talk to. It was refreshing to see them really engaging with the customers and having fun with their jobs as they sang along to the cafe music. Really enjoyed it here :)

Fall Season: Toasted Marshmallow latte
Bri K.

The local rustic cafe near the heart of Flatbush has grown since the time I first went, 4 years ago! I used to work around the area and as a treat got their matcha or chai latte, which was delicious, in rotation. There were always at least two staff, seats available along with an outdoor space and a considerable wait time. This time around there was a full house and one person working, so the time was a longer but due to the line I was in. My order time was still considerable. It is homey and cozy inside, and service is extremely friendly. The price is higher of course as it is a smaller cafe. I found my fall season order: marshmallow latte light and not overly sweet. While I didn't taste too much marshmallow flavor it did satisfy me on my commute in the winter weather of fall.

Can't believe I've been coming here for over 3 years. I've been working more from home recently and I'm constantly at Ciao Bella working on my laptop. I feel so at home in this cosy little cafe. It's also amazing that they have late hours - open until 7pm (if not later when having events). Amazing coffee and non-coffee options. Baked goods are out of this world. Overall a 5/5. So glad this little cafe is part of my life.

Overall rating: 4.8 THE HAM CROISSANTS ARE WORTH IT. Everyone knows it. That's why they sell out by the afternoon the doughnut plant donuts are not. You can get the same ones a dollar cheaper at Ideal Market. I'm still trying to go during their night activities. If you follow them on Instagram, you'll know when that is. The staff is really nice. But since it's a small space, there can be a wait. Usually there's just one person behind the counter. It's already a popular place, but highly recommend!

I got some hot tea and I like that they charge by the bag and not buy the cup size. Ambience in there was swanky. Definitely a cool place to check out.

I enjoyed my visit to Ciao Bella and can see why this cafe has 5 stars! It's a very cute coffee shop with a wonderful vibe. Shout to Jessica (one of the owners) who is a pleasure to talk to. I loved learning about her why in creating the space. It's a small but cozy coffee shop. While I wasn't working during my visit, it seems like a few people were. There were people on their laptop, taking video calls, having casual conversations with friends and even playing chess. They have free Wi-Fi and also have a printer and phone charging station. There are several tables to work from, a coach and arms chairs in addition to high table window seating and street side seating (not heated or fully inclosed). Based on CJ (Barista) and Jessica's recommendation we tried the pumpkin loaf (vegan) and coffee cake. The pumpkin loaf was delicious and we demolished it. The coffee cake was good but I personally preferred the pumpkin loaf. For beverages, I got an iced hazelnut matcha latte and my friend the s'mores latte. We both enjoyed our drinks. In addition to coffee, pastries and a cute working space, the host events like comedy night and dance classes. They are open every day and are pet friendly. If coffee shops are your scene or you're looking for a nice spot to work from, I'd definitely check this place out!

So glad we decided to pop over to Ciao Bella. Jessica, one of the owners, is an absolute doll. CJ made us some delicious drinks - we ordered the s'mores cappuccino, an iced hazelnut matcha latte, pumpkin loaf (vegan), and coffee cake. Everything was delicious. This is a great spot to work from home. Though small, there's two three distinct seating areas: regular tables and chairs, couches/loveseats around a coffee table, stools at a high bar. The music is low enough to still be able to concentrate or carry a regular conversation without straining. The playlist is also fire -- chill r&b and neo soul. They even have a printer on-site for any printing needs. They host events at night like comedy night every first Friday and have libations for happy hour in the evening. Be sure to check this small but mighty coffee shop out.

Time flew by as I got work done here. The bartista was friendly. With a variety of indoor and outdoor seating, their ambiance is reminiscent of Italy. There are a variety of sweet treats to order here. You can purchase wine as well. This coffee shop is great for getting work done, or catching up with loved ones. I love that Ciao Bella stays open later than most coffee shops. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

Iced Chai Latte

Ciao Bella is a charming coffee shop in the heart of PLG. The owners here a really friendly, and they have a lot of yummy baked goods. My favorite are the Doughnut Plant donuts, and I usually get an iced chai latte to wash it down. It seems that business is treating them well, as there is usually line and filled with customers that use the cafe as a working space.

Ciao Bella is so much more than just a coffee shop but also a community space known for hosting live music, salsa classes, and more. There's even a printer for all your printing needs. The quilted leather couch invites you to stay a while, browse their collection of books and vinyl, and browse the art they feature from local artists. The owner himself is a musician, painter, and entrepreneur and is one of the chillest business owners I've ever met. The coffee they have here is excellent, with the cappucino being the most standout beverage on their menu. Their chai lattes are also a real treat and tastes delicious with any of their pastries which include dougnuts from Doughnut Plant, empanadas from a local Brooklyn vendor, and their ever popular pumpkin loaf. They're always sure to stock a lot of these because they're so popular. They also own the brand new pizza shop around the corner called Slice Shop so if you're into progressive dining you could start with breakfast here and have lunch at the pizzeria. A recipe for a great day.

Charsu and I stopped here before making our journey into the city. I was expecting a quick in and out. Honestly, I couldn't have been more wrong. The people here are FANTASTIC! The baristas are friendly and bubbly. One of the co-owners came and talked to every single person that came in. You could tell that he has pride in his business and the community. Quite a few times, when we were talking, he waved or greeted someone enthusiastically. You can tell this is a great local spot. The sense of community and friendship is overwhelmingly positive. Everyone was so friendly. I ordered a sinful chocolate chip cookie. This cookie was moist, crumbly, and delicious. I am still having thoughts about this cookie...it might be borderline obsessive. The cookies are made in house. Some of their other pastries are bought in from local vendors such as the donuts from The Doughnut Plant. (I did get two donuts and they were yummy). I also tried the banana nut pound cake and the cannoli. Both pastries were absolutely delicious. The Banana cake was moist and flavorful. The cannoli was creamy and had a drizzle of amaretto (I think) on top that add extra oomph! They have a chef that comes in during the weekdays to make savory items, such as, empanadas and paninis. I will have to come back for some empanadas :) I also ordered a hot chocolate. I am not going to lie, I was disappointed that they didn't have marshmellowies or whipped cream. However, this hot chocolate was so delicious, it actually didn't even need it. *gasp!* It was perfect the way it was! I would highly recommend this place if you need a sweet treat and/or a delectable drink served by people who care. I would also say stop by if you ever feel lonely or need a break because you will definitely leave with a smile...!

This is a black owned business! Stopped by on my way to a friend's place for some coffee. I had a chai latte with soymilk (they have non diary option). They also carry doughnut planet donuts - I had the tres leche and it was amazing. They also have empanadas (chicken, beef, pizza and spinach) I must say it was very bland - will not get again. The lady was super friendly and said on weekdays a Korean chef comes by and make more food! Will come again!

Ohh my gosh. their pumpkin spice bread is thee bomb

This cafe did something no one else could do.... They converted me... I actually...like...pumpkin spice now (Dramatic scream). It's true, their pumpkin spice bread, which is more of a buttery sweet pound cake pillow of pumpkin spice has made me a new woman. I even tried their pumpkin spice chai latter, it was f@#ing good. I also tried their regular chai latte, it was nice and spicy and perfectly sweetened. The last time I had their prosciutto pesto sandwich. It was dripping cheese and pesto and was hot and delicious. I'm so happy they offer sandwiches now as well as soup. Before they offered tea, coffee, and traditional pastries and baked goods. The owners are super nice as well. Stop in. Say Hi! Very cozy, but not too cozy. Sweet, but not too sweet, pastries. Friendly barristas. Classic coffee house without the attitude.

You think they are going to just hand you your dreams? I don't want a treat. I didn't earn a treat. A black coffee is like running on an empty stomach. It puts you in a different mindset. Survival mode. On the hunt. I gotta earn the food. Imagine what they would say about me if they saw me drinking a dirty chai latte in the morning. Imagine what I would say about myself. I didn't earn that. I need to stay close to God. All this to say I tend to stay far away from hyped up coffee shops but my big bro wanted to hit Rhythm Zero, and he is big bro for a reason, so I obliged. I entered into a small space that feels vast. High ceilings. Minimal furniture. Huge Renaissance-style art on the walls. An environment tailor made for you to lose sight of yourself and order their $8 Coco Americana. I won't lie. I thought about it. A moment of weakness. It's not giving community coffee shop, it's giving gtfo as quick as you can. The decor and vibe just felt so off. Giving coffee shop art studio museum but in the worst way possible? Went with a friend and we both immediately felt a bad energy. The person taking our order was just a little stand off ish. We just wanted to get our drinks and get out as quick as possible. We got the blackberry matcha and a latte. You're not going for the matcha, because the matcha flavor isn't really there ~ the blackberry was fine, super sweet though. Had 3 espresso shots in the latte yet it was still somehow so watered down and had an odd aftertaste. Big yikes overall, we could've dealt with the weird pretentious vibes if the coffee was actually good. Only upside is TakuSando is a block away. EDIT: For Bri Can totally understand if people have off days, maybe the baristas were having a bad day, it happens. Either way, the review reflects what we experienced. We had heard great things but unfortunately felt unwelcome from the moment we ordered, whether intentional or not ~ the energy felt cold to us and that changed the experience. & we just didn't love the drinks. You're def right, Rhythm Zero just isn't our cup of tea and that's totally fine. Hope yall continue to do your best and serve the fan base you have :) Love small businesses, don't love a weird Yelp guilt trip (which seems like a pattern for you across all 3 locations...)
