Flat white with vanilla - Inside a cozy coffeehouse, a blue triangular table holds a cup of coffee and a pencil. A dog sits on the floor nearby, with a plaid armchair and other seating visible.

I just moved to the neighborhood from Crown Height in December. And lemme say I am ecstatic this place exists and so close to my place! This is by far the best coffee in the neighborhood, I have tried about 5 other spots and this one proves consistently superior. The coffee is just so smooth and always the right temp. The owner Justi(y?)ne is salt of the earth she's lovely and always has a smile on her face. Her daughters work here and are equally as lovely. It is a cozy little vibe inside and the kindness from the team is just the icing on the cake. They also ALWAYS acknowledge my dog and give him treats. He loves to come here, he's been pulling me in this direction for the past couple of weeks. I've also met and talked with a few people which I feel is rare for nyc cafes as people can keep to themselves. But the overall energy of this place is so warm and inviting it encourages community and conversation. Keep up the great work!

Chill neighborhood coffee shop. Good vibes, clean, friendly staff, and tasty bites all while playing old school classics.

Cinnamon roll and iced chai latte - A cinnamon roll with icing on a white plate and an iced chai latte in a plastic cup are placed on a wooden table near a window.

I initially saw a review on TikTok of this small black and women owned coffee shop. The ambiance was very cozy. They had indoor and outdoor seating (was raining when I went so not set up). The barista was very friendly and kindly explained the breakfast taco options when asked for more information. My chai latte (as shown in photo) was perfect! Not too sweet but also not watery and bitter. The cinnamon roll (as shown in photo) was heated up and it was fresh. I also bought a breakfast taco and it was delicious as well. All in all, I will be going back and I recommend checking this place out to support a small business.

Got brunch here on a Sunday with a friend. We split the Hot Honey Gem Salad and Hottokeki (Japanese…read moresoufflé pancake). The pancake is gigantic and is absolutely meant to be shared. It was really fluffy and smelled soooo good (reminiscent of the HK street cart waffles). But because it's so big, by the time we ate half of it, we were getting a little tired of the same taste. The salad was good but nothing to rave about. For drinks, we tried the Lebowski-San and Kettl Hojicha Kombucha. It was my first time trying a clarified cocktail and it was really unique. I thought there would be more ice cream honestly but I still loved it. The kombucha though was shockingly tasty. I loved it so much that I bought a bottle online once I got home (they're from Kettl, a local distillery in Brooklyn). The venue is really spacious and I actually planned a wedding here in the past. They host a lot of events and there was even a birthday party happening when I ate there. The only downside is the location. The only train that goes there is the G so it's a bit hard to get to. Food: Hot Honey Gem Salad (radish, buckwheat, fennel, yuzu vinaigrette) 9/10 Hottokeki / Japanese Soufflé Pancake (fluffy hotcake, honey maple butter, sesame) 9/10 Add Mini White Sesame Soft Serve (soy milk, sesame oil) 10/10 - I would recommend just getting this on its own instead of the Hottokeki if you're craving just a little dessert. Drinks: Lebowski-San (green tea shochu, pisco, sakura leaf, clarified matcha ice cream, cold brew coffee floater) 9/10 - This is a clarified cocktail which I didn't expect. I thought I was ordering a matcha ice cream-like drink so although the drink was good, all the ingredients are very subtle in flavor. Kettl x Unified Ferments 'Hojicha' Kombucha (jou yanagi hojicha) 10/10 - This is an absolute must-try!

Really popular space that speaks for itself. I also went on a special occasion and they prepared a nice note congratulating me on my special day. Additionally, I loved the high ceilings and natural light from the skylights above. Definitely recommend the chips with the potato salad and caviar. I still think about it sometimes and even created something similar when I host events! They also have a lot of fun cocktails that make this place a great place to gather with friends.

The interior design is also gorgeous. The furniture and decor is so thoughtfully curated and made it seem like a gallery. There are two big couches, a few seats, and a large communal table for laptop work. Some tables outdoors too for once the weather warms up! It's really close to the Transmitter Park as well, so super convenient to take your drink to go. Service was really friendly, and although it is a small area behind the counter and it was busy, drinks came out relatively quickly. The Blackberry Pie Matcha was honestly incredible. I'm typically someone who gravitates towards seasonal/fun drinks, so this is right up my alley. I don't know how they did it, but they really captured the pie flavor in this drink. It was almost buttery and custard-y and paired super nicely with the matcha and fruitiness of the blackberry. Everyone in the Transmitter Park had a cup, so I need to try their coffee as well.

My husband and I…read morerarely go out to eat because we own restaurants, so we usually will only go for a special occasion, my husband picked Bonafini because it's, like him, it's Italian. We had a delightful dinner, service was great, the owner herself waited on us, she is fabulous. The restaurant is very cute, it's really like a neighborhood trattoria where all the locals eat, casual and relaxed. The place had a great vibe, lots of people enjoying themselves. We had a bottle of wine, apps, mains, and the most moist olive cake I've ever had, all at a great value. We will be coming to this restaurant often since we live close by.

I had the pancakes, which came with blueberry compote, Greek yogurt, and hazelnut spread. My dining partner went for what I believe was the Sicilian Shakshuka -- tomato and vegetable stew, olives, bread, and eggs. The pancakes were solid: just the right amount of maple syrup. They were a little on the dry side, but still tasty, helped along by what seemed like Nutella or another chocolate-hazelnut sauce. Not mind-blowing, but satisfying and definitely hit the spot. Overall, a pleasant brunch -- we left full and happy. I'd be glad to come back the next time I'm in Brooklyn. Last visited: August 23, 2025
