First time here, I live around the corner and just found this place by chance! The inside is really cute some cute things to buy. They even have matcha you can buy if you wanna make it at home. The employee was very sweet and even gave us a punch card since I will deff be back! Matcha is so yummy with vanilla syrup! My girlfriend got a chai which was also amazing! must try!

Great local coffee shop - delicious soy latte and the owner was very kind. Would come here again.

Only a few weeks old, I've come to really like this small but lovable coffee shop. They have a good variety of coffees, of course, and teas (which I mostly get), that should please most customers. And best for me, the staff is always very nice, especially the owners. And I love that they have simple sugar as a sweetener alternative - not enough places do. The pastries are good too though some are arguably a bit overpriced. Regardless, Brooklyn Kettle is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Thank you women with an Afro and good music choices playing on the radio jazzy with R&B swagg. BTW a smile and good conversation is everything. I will be back every time I'm in BKLYN.

Pretty great little window off the beaten path with a solid cup and friendly staff.

Visiting my friends in Brooklyn. This is the first place they took me too and I fell in love. Wish I could take this cute little coffee shop home with me. The coffee is delicious and the owner is very charming! Would go every day if I could.

    Awesome!

Small place hidden in the Brooklyn neighborhood. Blends in well. Seating inside and outside, nice atmosphere. Serves coffee, tea and some pastries. We ordered macchiatos and a cappuccino, perfect taste and temperature. A lot of care goes into making good coffee on this place. We ordered again cause it tasted like more! Surely a hidden gem.

And I gotta say, the bartender is doing work. He's the only one working and the whole place is filled up and he manages it very well. They have food and drinks, mocktails included. I love it here. It's very cozy and homey. But just remember to be courteous, that this is a business so it's okay to do work here but if you're gonna be chilling for a while make sure you're getting some drinks every hour or tipping the 'tender. Also careful with some of the hot drinks they can be really.... hot. I burnt the roof of my tongue on my hot cider drink.

They should've called it the Goldilocks crossaint because it was just right. I should've gotten the 2% or oat milk so I could taste the hojicha better - don't do whole milk like I did! The butter croissant is truly the perfect example of a well done croissant. Light, buttery, crispy, and flaky. Every bite was fantastic. My next favorite is the black sesame pinwheel. Everything I love about a croissant except now with black sesame cream, which was sooo rich, luscious and not too sweet! The blueberry danish was a summer special, layered with fresh and sweet blueberries. The pistachio pain suisse was filled with nutty pistachio and the layers were super crispy and covered with syrup. This pastry is on the heavier end. Lastly, the matcha danish is the one I was most excited to try as a matcha lover. I was a little thrown off by the layer of chocolate beneath the matcha. But as I continued to eat it, the matcha ended up overpowering it, which is a plus to me! Staff here are friendly and always ready to recommend goods or to chat about your day. Paloma has a solid roster of pastries and they always have seasonal offerings too.

It provides the perfect setting for Barzakh Cafe, a social club/gathering spot of sorts for the pan-Maghreb community across New York. We came for the couscous celebration on July 4th. The owner is Mauritanian, and the couscous reminded me of the ones I've eaten in the northern reaches of Senegal, with tender potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. I had been hoping for something closer to kosksi, but the dish was enjoyable nonetheless. We sat outside in the casually-laid out backyard while hearing songs blending French and Maghrebian Arabic emanating from inside. Barzakh also hosts events from outside the region, including qawwali nights and the like. It is a rare unique space in the neighborhood.
