Patio is not yet permitted, so can't be seated there. The plates and utensils are very earthy! Not delicate. The water cup was perfect. Fun factor: you choose a fancy knife which includes a cute mini butcher knife. The time it took to get coffee was unacceptable. Food was fantastic! Food quality was superb! Honestly it was good, but for the value ($100 with tip) I would have expected caviar on my steak... (but, let's not minimize the quality of the steak or salmon that was used). Tried this restaurant with some friends while staying at this hotel (Hyatt Regency Irvine). Parking is validated for 3 hours. Our server Tessa was very sweet & let us try the blueberry lemonade which was so good! Beautiful restaurant right in Irvine where you don't have to make reservations weeks in advance. The ambiance & decor is beautiful. Restaurant is inside the hotel. You can valet or self park. Warehouse 72 offers a unique dining experience with a variety of dishes inspired by different cultures! We had a reservation at 5 PM, but came a little earlier so we sat at the bar. It wasn't busy around that time. However, it became packed right as we were walking out! They also have a patio, which can be enjoyable when it's warm out. We had ordered the Caesar salad as our appetizer and it was pretty good. It had a strong taste of the anchovies, which I actually really enjoyed. The parmesan crisp on top was amazing! For our main, we got the black truffle angel hair pasta & burger substituted w truffle fries. For me, I really think the pasta stole the show. I'm usually not a big fan of angel hair pasta, but I really enjoyed every bite of it. And lastly, for our dessert, we got the s'mores ice cream!!! The only complain I will do is that the drinks came pretty slow. BUT the bartender was pretty new, so he was trying his best lol. Oh man, I was super excited about this place but I feel like the food was underwhelming for the space. This restaurant is in the lobby of the Hyatt in Irvine. They validate self parking (which is otherwise $29 for the first 3 hours, I believe). Because the restaurant is attached to the hotel, there was a weird mix of people dining there, and I couldn't tell if it was a casual restaurant trying to be fancy or a fancy restaurant that just had a lot of casual people. There were some kids in pajamas that were dining here (presumably staying at the hotel), next to couples dressed really nicely for a date night. Service was not bad- our server was friendly, but I was disappointed that our food wasn't timed. Even though we ordered our starters and drinks first and our meal later, the meals came out after maybe 1 or 2 bites in from our starters. Our cocktails were hit and miss - mine was good, but we both agreed that the other was not balanced. Also, we saw the same cocktail going out to other tables, and the measurements looked different - there was about a half inch less liquid in one of the cocktails than what we saw delivered to other tables. As for the food, most everything was just mid. It felt like the kitchen wasn't tasting their dishes before they were served. We had the octopus and the truffle arancini to start. I did like the octopus but it was not the best I've had (the tentacle was cut into pieces and maybe fried or something that kind of dried it out/hardened the exterior). The aracini had the right texture but was so bland. It has a light touch of truffle but didn't taste like much, even with the Parmesan they put on it. For our mains, I got the scallops and my partner got the pork belly kimchi fried rice. (I asked our server which between the scallops and the lamb did people like better and he recommended the scallops.) The scallops were an odd texture - perhaps they weren't as fresh? It was coated with something (maybe an egg?) so it had a weird layer of crust on it that didn't go too well. The risotto was also so bland! I had to take bites of the kimchi fried rice to have a different flavor profile. The kimchi fried rice wasn't bad, but it wasn't authentic-tasting. It was maybe modified to have more of an "American" flavor profile. The saving grace for us here is the unique screen wall in the restaurant and the decor/ambiance. The visuals playing became a little repetitive, though. Overall, it was a fun experience, but I likely will not return due to the mediocre flavors of the dishes. Also to note, I saw another guest post that their arancini came in a 7 count, but others in a 5 count. Menu inconsistencies are a bit challenging to navigate as well. read more

New restaurant inside the Hyatt Regency in Irvine. Very pretty venue with a large hologram screen covering the entire wall of the restaurant. They have daily happy hour between 3-6 pm (food selection is limited but I think it's good for a Quick bite). Ordered a few more items off the main menu as well. Here's what we tried... 1. Black truffle arancini: slightly over fried arancini marbles about the size of a golf ball. Felt it was more crispy/fried breading so couldn't fully appreciate the risotto and black truffle flavor inside. Outside was garnished with truffle cheese. Wish they would make the arancini larger with more risotto and truffle content. 2. Charred Spanish Octopus: lightly crisp octopus within a bed of round marble potatoes. Both seasoned with salsa verde (green) and chorizo. Seasoning with light (which I prefer) but felt the octopus was a bit overcooked. Not what I expected. 3. Hand cut Disco Fries: perfectly cut fries (not too big and not too thin where it's more crispy or too soggy) sprinkled with delicious truffle oil and Parmesan. Was good. My friend thought it was a little too crispy. 4. Cheeseburger: nice juicy thick beef patty with melted white cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and W72 sauce. Was tasty (we both agreed). One thought...my friend thought an alternate bun would have made it more complete. 5. What a beautiful restaurant located inside of the Hyatt Regency. This is an upscale restaurant with a chef curated menu. We were greeted by the chef himself and he had some great recommendations for us and letting us know some of the popular dishes they serve. I was recommended the jidori half chicken by the chef and our server so I had to get it! I was amazed how good the chicken was. I loved every bite and I would even order this again! I usually would go with something like fish or steak but if you're in the mood to try something new, here is where you should! We loved all the apps as well! I tried the cheese plate, burger, shrimp tacos, and fries. The best thing in my opinion was the shrimp tacos. They looked just okay in the Yelp photos but the flavor was there! Stopped in for date night over the weekend. There's self parking in the hotel- it's located inside the Hyatt (formerly known as Hotel Irvine). I chose to valet instead which was $9 with restaurant validation. Maybe it was the post holiday slowdown- but there were roughly 3 other tables and a few people at the bar, so not very busy. The ambiance is light, white, bright while stylish with plush green mid century modern chairs and white/cream booths provide ample seating. There's a massive screen that serves as a focal point for the decor/ambiance. Our server Lana was polite, attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant concept and current menu. The menu is eclectic with a mix of dishes from different cuisines. My wife chose to order a la carte while I selected the price fixe menu which included four courses. My selections included the octopus which was cooked just right - not too chewy and lightly seasoned accompanied by potatoes. The lobster bisque soup rich with flavor and included chunks of lobster. It may have been the best lobster bisque I've ever had- wifey agreed! For the main course, I had the short ribs over pasta which was a hearty, tasty dish and just the right amount of food. For dessert, I got the cheesecake which had chunks of chocolate and peppermint topped with drizzles of caramel and chocolate. The meal, service and ambiance was top notch. This is my go to spot after work always! You cannot go wrong with this bar/restaurant. The service is always quick and friendly, the food and drinks are always on point, and the vibes here are PHENOMENAL. I love the shrimp tacos and also the hummus when I want something on the lighter side. The ingredients taste fresh and definitely made with love. (Even when it's to go!) The bartenders really know what they're doing because the drinks always come out perfectly as well. I adore Jason, Aryanne, Josue, Luis, Elana, the Brians, just the whole gang. They're rockstars. We made reservations through OpenTable, which they offered preset 4 course dinner option for $72 per person. Before making the reservation for this, we had to do a pre-payment in order to book the reservation. My friend, and I were really excited to come since this was one of the new restaurants that I had seen advertise on Instagram and it looked really nice and the food looked delicious. Night of our dinner, we arrived for our 730pm reservation we were seated, but our waitress took 30 minutes to get to us because she was waiting in one of the private rooms. We were both hungry and ready to eat. No one came to our table to ask us if we want water or anything. The restaurant was busy, but it wasn't super packed and it seemed like everybody else was getting served except us. When our waitress finally came, she was lovely and very sweet. We told her about our prepaid 4 course meal that we prepaid for already and she was confused. The general manager also came by and asked us about it, and he was also confused with this but he was polite and understanding. We told him that we booked it through OpenTable, and he said that he would honor it regardless, but in our defense my friend's credit card was already charged for this meal so it didn't matter if they were gonna comp it or not Open Table already charged our card. The part that was annoying was our waitress took forever to come to us and then they were confused with the special that OpenTable had w Warehouse 72. Food was just meh, nothing spectacular or worth the 40 minutes wait. The drinks were delicious though so kudos to the bartender. I feel like this is just another one of those fancy restaurants opening up in a hotel that may seem fancy but just another restaurant; service was just OK and that is me being nice considering we had to wait such a long time just to get any kind of service. But in person, we were surprised by how noisy it was due to the proximity to the open air bar adjoining the dining space of Warehouse 72 (where the large LED screen is located). We were seated in front of the LED screen and even though the moving images were impressive, we were surprised that a few of us facing the images became dizzy from the movement. That was unexpected. Warehouse 72 completely blew me away! I honestly didn't expect a restaurant in a hotel to have such fresh, high-quality food paired with a cool, vibrant vibe--but they nailed it. I ordered the Caesar salad, and it was hands down one of the best I've had. The lettuce was super crisp, the dressing creamy and flavorful, with amazing croutons and Parmesan crisps that added the perfect crunch. The portion was so generous that I couldn't even finish it (and I usually order two!). I added the Chilean sea bass on top, and it was cooked to absolute perfection--thick, flaky, and crispy on top, just like I asked. Nitin and the team were so accommodating of my custom order and got every detail right. Flawless meal! The vibe here is awesome. They have a gorgeous outdoor patio with a bar and large windows that open up, making it feel fresh and open. It's the perfect spot to unwind. The service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and so personable. I also loved that they validate parking, which made the whole experience even easier. I wrapped up my meal with a slice of their cheesecake, which was the perfect sweet note to end on. They have standalone locations across the U.S. (which is why it's not like a typical hotel restaurant), and this location has a special energy. I came for a celebration and it was a wonderful experience. I loved the screen in the back of the restaurant with the changing displays. It was gorgeous. The food was delicious. My wife and I had the unfortunate circumstance of making a reservation at Warehouse 72 the same night they were bought out for the evening. Both Nitin - the Director of Operations, and Brian - the General Manager reached out to me to invite us back on another evening. We had the unforgettable experience of dining there last night. Once you enter the restaurant proper you forget that moments before you were in the Hyatt's lobby, as the elegant white drapery weaved between columns around the seating area effectively seclude you away to enjoy your meal. A massive video board sets the backdrop that loops between many gorgeously artistic animations and scenes that my wife and I were delighted by. We started our evening off with the tiger shrimp tacos and fried mozzarella appetizers. We ordered the Rejuvination and Summer Thyme cocktails to accompany. Both drinks were deliciously refreshing and would highly recommend. The tacos were full size tacos generously loaded with large succulent shrimp that were contrasted with the refreshing crunch of the micro greens, red cabbage, and onions, ending with a nice twist of spiciness. The fried mozzarella was absolutely scrumptious, with barely any drops of tomato sauce left on our plate once we set our forks down. Shortly after our entrees were served, my wife opting for the Jidori half chicken while I chose the truffle angel hair pasta with chicken on top. I was surprised at the very generous portions before us! The pasta was deliciously rich and creamy. My wife offered me a forkful of her chicken. As soon as I tried it I was floored. The chicken melted in my mouth - it was the softest, most tender bite of chicken I've ever experienced in my life. I am not someone who dines out to order chicken of all things, but I am not exaggerating when I say this chicken melted like butter. After entrees we were offered coffee and dessert so we requested some black coffee with their frozen s'mores. Our server brought the plate of s'mores to our table and whipped out her little chef torch to char the marshmallows in front of us before we dug in. It was a fun and tasty dessert to end our meal. The service was incredible, from the moment we were greeted by the hostess to meeting the manager and director, and departing after an unforgettable experience. This restaurant is located on the lobby floor inside the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Irvine. We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning with no resos and got seated right away. We were initially the only diners there. The place is very bright, white, modern and chic. There is a huge screen on one side of the restaurant with a rotation of beautiful scenic images which my daughter enjoyed. It definitely kept her occupied during the meal. We tried the Avocado Toast, Breakfast Sandwich, W72 Breakfast, and a side of fruit. The portion of fruit was very generous with a variety of fresh fruits. I wished the Avocado Toast was a little less dry but overall it was tasty. My husband enjoyed his breakfast sandwich which was recommended by our waiter. My daughter enjoyed her hash, eggs and bacon that came with her W72 breakfast. The service was okay. I think they were understaffed and it was hard to flag down our waiter at times but he was very nice and accommodating. At dinner time, we moved in the restaurant and we ordered salmon, kimchi fried rice with pork (soooooo good), and for dessert we ordered the smores with ice cream. I had a feeling this place might be hyped because of the great ambiance and the fact it is inside the Hyatt. The food came out at all different times and they all tasted so so except the mozzarella. Arancini was bland and you couldn't taste any black truffle. And my bone marrow came out literally raw. When I complained, all I got was an apology and another 15 mins wait. The bone marrow had two tiny bites in the bones, so why 8-10 pieces of toast? Makes no sense and the prices make no sense. Really wanted to like this place but pass. It was happy hour so we decided to sit in the bar area, first outside and then inside. We move from outside area to the inside area because no one was coming to take our order. We thought that being inside would make it easier to get served. However, after 20 minutes of being ignored, we decided we weren't welcome. So we left. Never had a chance to taste anything or drink anything. Wouldn't recommend or visit this place. Service sucks. Doesn't matter how big your screen is if you can't do the basics. read more

Ok so real talk, restaurants in hotels are usually overrated, but I think I found one that's a must-try. Warehouse 72 is in the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, the SWANKIEST new kid on the block. Everything is shareable so that's your perfect excuse to try more dishes ;) Some of my favorites are the Black truffle arancini and their Yuzu-glazed sea bass. This was cooked to perfection and literally melted like butter. And if you think the presentation of their drinks are good, Frozen s'mores torched at the table takes the cake. We came in a little late and already felt bad about the timing, but a manager sat us down so we assumed it was okay. After that, we were completely ignored. We sat there for about 10 minutes while multiple staff walked by and looked our way, but not one person acknowledged us or offered to take our order. It was uncomfortable and disappointing. We weren't expecting over the top service, but a simple greeting or even some water would have gone a long way. After sitting there with no one checking in, we got up and left. Don't let the fact that it's in a hotel fool you. The space is modern, bright and open. The menu has lots of great options and has something for everyone. He was quick, efficient and very attentive. We also had the pleasure of meeting the Manager Francisco who made sure our evening was perfect....and it was!
