Warehouse72 is a brand new restaurant located in the Hyatt Regency Irvine. They are still in soft opening as of this review. We enjoyed the black truffle angel hair pasta and the salmon was expertly prepared and delicious. Service is also outstanding. The decor is clean and ultra modern. The restaurant is set in a fun indoor-outdoor space too. It is also close to the new pool that just opened here. There are also private dining room options. Don't let the fact that it's in a hotel fool you. The space is modern, bright and open. The menu has lots of great options and has something for everyone. Interesting appetizers and salads, burgers and sandwiches, main entrees. The food also comes out looking and tasting like it belongs in the space. My pet peeve is when the food is lacking while the space looks amazing. What's also great is the food is priced fairly and you get to enjoy a wonder space. read more

The lavender bom. That's it, that's the review. In all seriousness, this drink is just too good. It's like a wellness drink, shaken to perfection. Everyone said it was dangerous.... Easy to drink! The charcuterie board with the triangle cheese was a hit. The shrimp tacos were delicious, I just wish the toppings weren't mostly cabbage. The burger was seasoned well and had fresh ingredients. The restaurant itself is very fancy with a huge screen, bright interior and exterior. There's a large glass fire pit outside and many seating arrangements to have a drink and chat! We knew we were going to be in the Irvine area around Valentines Weekend and Tik Tok suggested we try this place! On short notice, we were able to grab a seating at 6:00pm and this place was hopping with very well dressed guests having a grand old time! Alex was our server and he was quite knowledgeable of the dishes and had some wonderful recommendations that we were lucky enough to have followed. We were hungry and adventurous but since it was Valentine's weekend, they offered a special menu that seemed to have everything we wanted with a wine pairing of 3 courses. Of all the items we tried and loved, a few items really stuck out! You MUST order these! 1. Kushi Oysters-Beautifully presented & oh so delicious! 2. Little Gem Salad-Fresh & Delicious 3. Came for breakfast and we ordered the pork belly spam and eggs, ube pancakes, and sides of fruit and hash brown. I also ordered a vanilla soy latte, which was delicious. Overall the food was great, but we had two suggestions: (1) add to the description on the menu that it's a kimchi fried rice, right now it says pork fried rice which is not inaccurate but because of the description I wasn't expecting it to be a bit spicy, and (2) using a condensed milk instead of maple syrup on the ube pancakes to let the taste of the ube shine. We had a bit of a wait time to get our food, but service itself was great. The hotel seemed pack which may have been why there was a wait time although the restaurant itself was a bit empty. My family and I came here during OC restaurant week. The items that were on their regular menu were great like the charred octopus, truffle angel hair pasta, charcuterie, and frozen s'more dessert. The items that were specifically part of their OC restaurant week were not so great like the lobster Thai pasta. Though I appreciate the risk they were trying to take, the flavors clashed and ended up being an overly salty Thai pasta that you couldn't taste the lobster. I think the background screens are unnecessary. Sometimes it's quite distracting when it gets bright. The place, however, is immaculate. So white and spotless. read more

The service was overall decent. We came on a night where there was a event going on. So it was particularly busy. Even with the reservation, we probably only took 10 extra minutes to get seated. I got the Steak frites ($42) and I tried the first bite with no butter on it. The steak had absolutely no flavor. Then when I smothered the butter on the steak, it was just very salty no other flavoring. My friend got a hamburger and we tried just the meat patty. Again no flavor so she ordered something else. My third friend got the perk belly and mac & cheese. She also complained that there was no flavor to the pork belly. Overall, very underwhelming for the price. This beautiful restaurant is inside the Hyatt and they validate for parking so it's either free or discounted depending on how long you stay. There is a big LED display on a wall which is impressive at first, until you realize it's a series of the same images on a loop and eventually starts making you feel dizzy. The food, although visually appealing, was disappointing. We got the prix fixe for $72 but when seated, they had the wrong menus at our table and had to switch it out after I pointed it out. The Baked Goat Cheese wasn't what I expected, it was a small bowl of tomato soup with a little bit of cheese on top and the garlic toast had no flavor. The lobster bisque was extremely salty. The short rib pappardelle seemed pre-made and microwaved as parts of it was cold and you needed to use a knife to cut up the short rib. The cookies and cream dessert has a deceptive name, as most people would think this is like oreos but it is literally a chocolate chip cookie that they broke in quarters to give you half and then crumbled up the rest while the actually panna cotta was pretty hardened gelatin. Sadly, the service was lacking as well, the staff seemed inexperienced and tired. Somehow, when the dishes came out, they really had no clue who ordered what and for more than half the orders, were giving the wrong dishes to the wrong people. Even when I made the reservations online, they called me several times because they had difficulty trying to figure out how to accommodate a big party, the manager even offered at one point to put us in a room with one large table and several smaller tables of two, which was the strangest offering I've ever received from a restaurant. I hope all of these issues is because they are new and I hope they will be able to figure it out because I definitely have higher expectations from an upscale restaurant like this. read more

Great wine selection. My son had the kids steak plate. Their children's menu online reflected 3 courses for $21. Since they are in the soft opening phase they had a limited kids menu. I would have to say I am a bit surprised that the food was delicious especially since it is a hotel restaurant. Starting off with the positive notes, food was amazing and the craft cocktails were delicious. We started off with the crudo and octopus which I highly recommend both. Food and drinks were 10/10 for sure! The vibe was a mix of upscale and slightly casual. Service was attentive and I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here... Now the not so positive notes, we went out of our way to this restaurant and the screen was down the entire time we were there. Which sucks because that's kind of the main attraction. We also parked in valet, which I highly do not recommend! The hotel will park your car in the same area where they park guests and other event goers. I had to wait 30+ mins in the cold just to leave while others in my party had already gotten their car. The ending of this night sucked overall and I likely won't return because of the chaotic parking situation and unpredictable display screen. read more

It's in a hotel lobby. There are some promotions on Instagram and other websites that look like a standalone swanky restaurant but it's a part of a lobby. It's great for people in the Neighbourhood, but not people to drive down to. It has a fancy LCD screen that keeps changing the backdrop, that's Really cool but nothing to drive for 30 minutes to. We told them about an egg allergy, but still served us kimchi fried rice with egg. Some drinks we ordered they were out of. And it's unnecessarily expensive. There's a lot of parking with validation.
