Have the Dr Pepper pork chop (delish) and my wife had the pot roast. The roast was red wine heavy but very good. I think the highlight for me was the meatball appetizer because it came with really good bread and was the perfect seasoning and consistency for a high-quality meatball. So good that the next time I come here, I will be trying an Italian dish! Loved it!

We will definitely come back and try new things next - but I will be getting the lobster bisque as a starter for sure again.

They have a 2 for $20 meal that includes a starter of choice and an entree. First off, the portion sizes are huge. I ended up taking half my food to go- and it tasted juat as good this evening for dinner! It came out quickly and the customer service was spectacular. They even flagged us down when we were about to leave because I left my jacket at the table. During our dining, we were checked on regulary by our server D'Anna. She was patient with us deciding on our choices for our orders and willing to give us guidance on entrees. We never had an almost empty water glass, and magically, even sitting outside on the covered patio, we did not have to fight with flies to keep them away from our food, but I wouldn't blame the flies one bit if they tried because Millie's has some amazing dishes. First off the fish dip is electrifying. Reminds me of seafood salad, but not as chunky. Delicious!!! A must try. I ordered the wedge salad for my 2 for $20 meal. It didn't come out with my other counterparts' apps because they were making the blue cheese dressing from scratch- SCRATCH! And boy was it amazing when it did come out! Fresh and refreshing. Once more, my philly was loaded with toppings! A little spicy than expected but not to the point that my tongue was burning. The beef tallow fries were also a pleasant compliment to my philly. Not salty at all and thick cut just how I like them so I can taste the potato. It was not only a great meal but exceptional setting to have a dining experience. I can see why this place is popular! Will be back for sure Millie's.

Escorted to a dimly lit booth by our host for an amazing Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW) dinner. All the staff dressed to impress. Our waiters, Cesile and Najee, made us feel like VIPs. Started with an amuse bouche to clear the palate. Such a delicious way to start our dining adventure. For starters, he had the Turner's Cut Caesar Salad. Baby gem lettuce with homemade Caesar dressing, garlic, 18-month aged parmesan cheese, and brioche croutons. Would have liked the tableside presentation to enhance the evening, but even without the show my hubby enjoyed it. I had the Gnocchi Batonnets. I love gnocchi and this one competes with my favorites in Rome and Milan. Pillowy light gnocchi shaped into batonnets served in the most delicious truffle lemon beurre blanc with snow peas and parmesan. I literally could come here just for this dish! Turner's Cut is known for their cuts of meat. He had the American Wagyu NY Strip which is served with parsley-lemon aioli and veal demi-glazed cipollini onion. I had the Venison Loin served on a plate of parsnip and truffle purée and the tiniest mushrooms. Added the Crispy Potato Mochi. I loved how our waiter, Cesile, described these delicious bites of potato served with truffle oil and smoked garlic aioli. Definitely add these. If you want something completely different for dessert, get the Creme Fraiche Cheesecake. Truly a work of art, almost too pretty to eat. Or if chocolate is calling your name, the Chocolate Souffle Tart is deep, dark and delicious with a side of Grand Marnier ice cream. The restaurant is really beautiful. From the booths to the bar to the bathrooms, the attention to detail shows. Our dinner was really a unique experience. Thank you to Cesile and Najee for treating us to an amazing night on the town....peanuts included.

So the retro late 70's playlist had me scratching my head. Laufey or Buble would be a better fit. Our server was vibrant, personable, and incredibly generous with his recommendations and attention to detail. The supporting staff was gracious, as well. I liked that the team was impeccably polished in both service style and their uniforms. The food: the Wagyu strip was a beautiful bite! The Wagyu's signature marbling shone through the slightly sweet, wonderfully exquisite sauce, and the accompanying onion was delicious. The Caesar salad was delightfully zesty and adding the Boquerones is a no-brainer, but the small crouton bits looked and tasted like the store-bought variety. Also unimpressive was the highly touted buttermilk chicken "nuggets," which were nothing special, even with its beurre blanc sauce, and the Gnocchi Batonnets, which were under seasoned and rather un-remarkable. The desserts, while lovely to look at, weren't memorable in taste or texture. The cocktails were unique and delicious, and valet parking is complimentary. I hear there are other "stars" on the menu, and I may be willing to return to give them a try.

We made a reservation on a Sunday evening, but it wasn't busy at all. Parking was easy and their lot is actually quite large. The decor is dark and intimate. The vibe is upscale and most patrons were dressed appropriately, however there was a table of patrons nearby who had on t-shirts and shorts. Maybe they didn't enforce the dress code that night because it was a slow evening. For my beverage, I ordered the Fleur-de-lis Martini. It was a grapefruit martini and it was good. It came with a small carafe on ice so that the glass could be topped off. My friend had a mocktail called Lyre's Pineapple Margarita which she enjoyed. 1st Course: Deviled Eggs - I love deviled eggs, but these fell short. The yolk was dry and bland. Ironically, the plate was garnished with paprika. The eggs could have used some of the paprika and some other seasonings to kick it up a notch. The yolk needed more mayo or cream because it was dry and crumbly. 2nd Course: Brasserie Chicken - I enjoyed this entree. It was panko crusted chicken with lemon caper sauce. The chicken was flavorful. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes and broccoli that accompanied the dish. The portion was much larger than my friend's 5 oz. Filet Mignon. I had plenty for leftovers the following day. 3rd Course: Carrot Cake - It was served warm and was very delicious! The icing was sweet and the cake was moist. Service was great throughout the meal and the food runners brought out each course in a timely manner. With the exception of the deviled eggs, I thought the meal was pretty solid.

No doubt a few issues but not overall quality of food was good! Cons Ordered their order of buffalo wings and asked the server to get them grilled in which she said they come grilled! So I was excited seeing the open grill over wood up front made me eager to try...... Well the wings were not grilled even after ensuring they came grilled. Hands down fried so it tasted like any other fried wing spot which was ok but I was specifically looking for and requesting to have them grilled! I didn't make a deal about it nor brought it up and just ate it since our waitress appeared new or overwhelmed. We had pizzas, wings, steak, grilled wraps, sides, etc and overall it was good with the exception and let down of the alleged "grilled" wings. Anyways beer served cold from the tap and cocktails were of quality! Great spot to enjoy for the kids in the fully gated Astro turf grass patio! Highly recommend to install more powerful fans because we were drenched. Overall 2 of 5 stars I'll possibly try again in the late fall / early winter but unsure.... David
