Did they really think their employees would admit to doing the damage? I have folks who had seen this item previously and can testify that the photos are exact. And the lack of holders for the shelves. And folks who can testify to the mess left by their beans in my microwave.

When it was time to drive to my new place they took a longer route. My GPS said the fast route was an 8 minute drive the route they took was 16 minutes I followed them. I've been trying to call and text the lady in the office who upon booking was very responsive and friendly and now won't respond to my texts or calls which is very disappointing. Moving is stressful for everyone and of course as a client we are worried about our things and the costs of everything but it's no reason to be rude to the people who are literally making the move happen. Yes, with any moving company there are fees that come up and in order for them to move your stuff without breaking it, they will use tape and plastic wrap that THEY purchase to ensure your things don't get damaged and then they add the cost to your bill, just like ANY OTHER MOVING COMPANY. They also give you the option to supply your own tape and plastic wrap so you won't get extra fees added. All in all, AMO is a great company and I refer them to everyone.

My experience with Crescent Movers was great and it started with Susan the person answering the…read morephone. She was professional and knowledgeable and just had a very nice disposition. I gave her an accurate account of the items I would be moving when and where and I received a quote in about 20 minutes. The day before I received a call regarding the move to confirm and see if I had any major changes that would change the quoted price. On the day of the move the movers arrived a little late but it didn't bother me, my move was scheduled for 9-11 and they arrived at 930 and still I was out by 11, I had a 1 bedroom apt on the 4th flr. My entire move was done by noon!!!! They had gotten to my new place unpacked reassembled items they took apart and put things where they were labeled, ie basement bedroom kitchen etc. The only complaint was that I wish they had told me that they were going to have more people moving me, the paperwork said 3 but it was 5 guys so I didn't have enough money for all the tips, but I guess they worked it out. Clearly this difference made a huge difference though I'm not sure why. Setting up and arranging was easy, they were polite and provided a great quote of $650 for 3 men for 5 hours of move of a 2 bedroom. This sounds great to me and I book. Day of move goes okay however they took a very slow time moving things downstairs, acted surprised I had a flight of stairs when I told them multiple times in the arrangements, and dropped several things one being an inherited framed tapestry from my grandmother. This would all be fine except when we got to my new location they were clearly exhausted (2 of them are not in "moving guys shape") and almost irritated they had to finish the job. Like...that's literally what I am hiring the service for. However, what really tipped the scales was by the end, because it took them 2 hours longer than anticipated they doubled the price to a bit over $1200 and then had the audacity to ask if I was going to tip! I was, and had the money ready but how dare you flat out ask for it! To add insult to injury after they left and I tipped I found the broken tapestry. Additionally, they put heavy boxes on breakables and though I inventoried and labeled each box with the room it should go in they threw them literally in the almost opposite direction. The littlest mover, was the best. He was friendly, professional and darn strong for being so small. He worked his butt off and if I could've given everything to him I would have. Asking them about the tapestry I inquired if I should go through my insurance or theirs. They suggested theirs and then led me on a goose chase for a week before reverting back and saying I should go through my own insurance. For the fact that I didn't really save any money here by going with Crescent I would say absolutely choose another vendor.

When we decided to switch apartments within our complex this month I didn't hesitate to reach out to Yuriy to see if he could help again. He was available, and we were relieved...until the day of our move, when two other guys (not Yuriy) showed up. Although we didn't remember them from the first move, one seemed nice enough and got straight to work. It took them a long time to load things, which was understandable given our complex's procedure, but it was almost three times as long as it took Yuriy and someone else the first time with the same constraints. I also made suggestions a couple of times about alternative options like the stairs for things, but this was not used. Additionally, I had asked Yuriy via text if he would bring wrapping and these guys did not. Thank goodness we had our own, but even still some things were not properly wrapped and one got damaged (e.g. desk top, pictured). With almost 7 hours in and now nighttime, they were clearly irritated and ready to be done, which while we shared their frustration, was also bad for us since it meant more money and meant that they basically unloaded everything and left, leaving us with boxes in rooms stacked on top of each other, all where they didn't belong, nothing put back together, and damaged items, which is frankly the worst of it. I haven't even looked inside any "fragile" boxes yet, and can only imagine what I will find. I have moved many times in my life and this was the very worst I've ever experienced. I will never ever use this company again, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I'm not sure what happened, but this is not the same service we had a year ago or any of our friends did.

At 11:55 a.m. that day, I received a call that their earlier job was going over time and they would not get to us until 2 - 2:30. They offered to send a fourth mover at no charge so that it would go faster. I understand that sometimes things just don't go according to schedule and I appreciated them offering to send an extra mover. After 2:30, we were strung along in 20 - 30 minute increments, constantly being promised that the movers were on their way and would be there soon. Whoever we spoke to would promise to call us back with an update or more information and never would; I was the one consistently reaching out to figure out what was going on. In the course of these phone calls, we were then promised a fifth mover at no charge as well as a discount of our total cost. Movers did not arrive until 4:30, and only three of the five men showed up. We were told, throughout the duration of the move, that the two additional men were on their way, but they never showed up. The movers were ok, they protected our large pieces of furniture and we did not have any major damage to any of our furniture or other items. Boxes were labeled and color-coded according to room; some ended up in the right room and some did not. In the end, we did receive a discount and later an additional refund, but this took substantial negotiating and we felt that we were being given the run-around as we had to talk to multiple people about it (different people in the office and the lead mover). Everyone we spoke with was kind, however, they seem to make a lot of promises that just do not actually get fulfilled. Overall, we had a stressful and unprofessional experience.
