The customer service is horrendous. You have to be very careful when you order and double check it before leaving. I ordered fried rice and the guy even read it back to me saying fried rice. I get my food and it says fried rice on the ticket. I get home and it is steamed rice. I call them and the waiter apologises for his mistake and says he is sending a driver right over. Two minutes later a woman calls me and tells me that he didn't charge me for it and it will be $4 dollars when the driver gets there. read more

First and last time we will eat here. The lemon sauce on the chicken is bland, the sauce on the teriyaki chicken was soy sauce and the egg rolls were half the size of any other egg roll. And there was some creamy moisture going on in them. May not have been completely cooked. read more

We live nearby and coincidentally noticed that prior Chinese restaurant had moved out and this place (which we had never heard of) moved in. I very much disliked the restaurant that was here before and I always always wondered how they managed to stick around because the food was just awful. It was a step down from the Chinese you'd find at any mall food court. As a result I hadn't stepped into this place for quite a few years. The interior is almost exactly like how it was before, which was pretty drab and cheap. My fork was old and bent and my menu had some food stains in it. I immediately wondered if we made a mistake. The owner however, she impressed us. She was worked very hard to make everyone in the restaurant happy and made sure no one had to wait for their drinks. The iced tea was okay, it seemed more like water and not super fresh, but still decent. When came out the food...YES!!!! The general tso was exactly how I like it: crispy, fresh tasting, and flavorful. Many places serve it with a very thick coat of bread on it and as a result it feels soggy (and then chewy) when you bite into it. But not here...everything was really good. I was almost too excited because it was everything I had hoped for. The owner came out and talked to us and she was just as excited over her food as I was, lol. I'm afraid they picked a difficult plaza to settle in, this place is hard to see by the road and we had no idea the prior restaurant had been replaced months ago. We've ordered delivery since then and the food was very quick to arrive, once again they hit the spot with the quality and price. I hope over time they can improve the interior that they seemingly inherited from the prior owners of this place, and I hope they are able to get a big sign up by the road because i think a lot of Wells Branch locals are missing out on a great new local find. read more

I wanted to update my previous review in which the food did not arrive at the house. Shortly after finishing the review (3 hours after placing the order and shortly after making dinner), the food arrived at the house. The food offerings were a mix of mediocre and awful, which ended in a lot of the food being thrown away. The crab wontons were incredibly dry, lacking any kind of dipping sauce, and felt rubbery from likely microwave cookery. The black bean chicken was lukewarm and no better than old buffet food from a chafing dish at a Chinese restaurant. The honey shrimp was overly breaded and the snap peas were almost as rubbery as the wontons. My initial review rating has not changed nor my absence of desire to frequent this establishment again. read more

We just moved to the area and I found this place on yelp. Thought we'd give it a try. We ordered the chicken low mein, twice cooked pork and a large egg drop soup. The food was ready very quickly, but definitely pricier than I expected for what we got. The egg drop soup had zero veggies. Just broth and egg. This place needs help. It's in really bad shape. Should be on kitchen nightmares. The people that work here are extremely unprofessional and inexperienced. It's mismanaged. The dining area is filthy. It's no wonder they have a million take out orders, but no one eating at the actual restaurant. If they would put some effort into their restaurant and not create such an uncomfortable eating environment maybe they wouldn't be so stressed out and up to their necks in take out orders and deliveries. I ordered the mongolian beef "to go" at lunchtime. It was watery, very mild flavor, almost no beef, and no green onion, which is what it should have had the most of. It took twice as long as I was told that it would. The restaurant itself had a really odd smell as I walked farther back towards the kitchen hallway... like old sweat. New to the neighborhood and wanted some Chinese food. They put a flyer on my door and they deliver so I ordered. I ordered online which was great. I put my order in and checked out and it told me that my estimated delivery time was 60 min. Okay. I can deal. So I'm waiting and waiting and waiting. 1 hour and 43 min later I got a phone call from the delivery driver. She couldn't find my apartment. I'm not mad. This place is a maze and I just moved here and couldn't help her as much as I wanted to. She finally found me and she was very polite and nice. Not mad about the personal service. I got the sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls and lo mein. I looked at their paper menu and the online menu and their sweet and sour chicken says nothing about pineapple. The menu says "deep fried chicken served with onion, carrot and bell pepper. Sweet and sour sauce on the side" there was pineapple all over my chicken making it soggy and I order this because it said nothing about pineapple. I was jazzed. Disappointed now. I had to order three times because the girl kept forgetting what I ordered in a 30 second gap. I also had to say my order was to go about three times as well. And don't get me started on asking if they could make it spicy. After going back and forth to the kitchen and counter, the mom came out yelling and repeating mild spicy, mild spicy!!! I ate at the Riverside location back in my college years and lived on their food, so I decided to give it a try. It was BETTER than I remember! I had the Chicken and Broccoli, Hot and Sour soup, eggroll, and snow biscuits. Massive portions, perfectly crisp broccoli, and very clean food - no grease at all. If you like fancy restaraunts where the expensive decor is reflected in your bill, you won't like Wanfu. If you want healthy food, super nice people, enough food for two meals in one entree, and you want it screaming hot and fast? Give Wanfu III a try. read more

Omg, I just love wanfu! I've been a fan since the original wanfu on oltorf. So I was so excited, when I found their menu on my door. So I ordered about a week ago& it was still delish. Although they forgot my snow biscuits. So when I ordered today& noted please don't forget them again. They did something amazing! They sent a whole try full!! Just shows how they love to make things right. Delivery guys are always so nice. One guy even helped me grab my lil yorkie that ran out when he delivered!! The food received seems like it pretty good, however the conditions in which my delivery arrived have now left me with passing on any future business with Wanfu 3. Our order arrived with two different items missing and what did arrive had almost a quarter of the contents spilled out into the plastic bag it came in. Upon calling Wanfu 3 to inform of what we received, a rather not-my-problem answer was given of "I guess we will write something down and try to send it your way." Even a simple acknowledgement of the problem would have gone miles, but none was to be had. read more

I really hate leaving negative reviews but I really didn't have a good experience with this location. I wanted to like this place. The staff is pleasant, the restaurant is close to me and the name is funny. I read reviews before going in.. seemed to be hit and miss with a lot of the dishes. Needless to say I should have listened. I ordered the sesame chicken in hopes it would be a popular dish so therefore difficult to mess up. The chicken was dry and over battered to the point where there was more batter than chicken. The sauce flavor was but unfortunately the fried rice was the best part. I went for the $2 extra, biscuits were doughy, the egg roll contents were minuscule and not very appetizing and the soup was decent. I spent $13 after tip, ate a 1/4 of my meal and went to Mr Gattis. I doubt I'll be going back to Wan Fu lll. read more
