We went today (on a Saturday) and they still do a lunch special. Woohoo. So you get a soup and egg roll included with your entrée. It even comes with fried rice. Everything came out hot and fresh. The jalapeño chicken was so good my daughter basically stole my plate. The Peking ravioli we got fried didn't even realize they were dumplings at first, but they were great. Ordered as takeout but the restaurant has a very nice interior and all of the staff we interacted with were sooo sweet! We loved that they included sauce packets with the takeout and even provided a cup with ice for the soda. Definitely wanting to come back to dine inside! The General Tso's chicken and the beef and broccoli both had really good portions. Beef and broccoli had a good equal mix of beef and broccoli which was great. The roll and the fried rice were a bit lacking in flavor but still good when eaten with the duck sauce and chicken sauce. Egg drop soup hit the spot and came with it. Overall, very good! Visited on a weekend evening for dinner and was in and out in around 30 mins! Would've been less, but with an extensive menu I couldn't decide what I wanted. Service was one of the best experiences I've had in Austin, our waitress and very attentive with everything and very kind. Observed this with the other waitresses as well. They have bar, indoor and outdoor seating. Any would be enjoyable in this modern space. Ordered the krab rangoons, which were generously filled and had a crispy shell. Enjoyed the sauce that came with, but were good all on their own. I ended up ordering the homestyle bean curd and portion is huge. You could make 2-3 meals out of what they give you! Pricing is also very fair for what you get and the service. There is limited parking out front, but if you take the small ally there will be a much bigger parking lot. Highly recommend! read more

Full disclosure: I'm not feeling well and my taste is a little off. We ordered the Chicken Jalapeño and the Sautéed Trio. Lunch specials come with egg drop or hot and sour soup AND an eggroll. The portions were large. The sautéed trio was lightly sauced with a mild flavor. The jalapeño chicken was heavily fried and not spicy. It was all very salty. The egg drop soup had frozen veggies, and it would have been better just eggs. I still appreciated it though. The staff was efficient and very nice. The outdoor patio looked like a great place to spend an extended meal. The do have a couple of tvs so you can watch the game, too. I'll try it again when I'm feeling better. read more

First off, pro tip, there's plenty of extra parking in the back. The front is limited. Ive tried the sesame chicken and the spring bean Szechwan (which I had chicken added to for an additional few dollars upon request even though it's not on the menu). Both are fantastic! Having tried this spot twice, I can confidently rate them 5 stars! The service is always extremely friendly, welcoming you warmly and checking in on you periodically. They are also very fast, serving dishes piping hot. The food itself is on point and served in very big portions, perfect for family style and taking home leftovers. I've tried their sweet and sour chicken which was nicely crisp even with it being dredged in sauce. The people I've gone with ordered the sesame chicken and general tso's and both tasted very good, each with their own unique sauce. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant is very pretty and relaxed. My wife and I had dinner at Suzi's tonight and it was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the Pekin ravioli, combo fried rice, sesame chicken, Three Delight, and jasmine tea. The dumplings were golden, crispy, and packed with flavor. The jasmine tea was calming and fragrant, the kind that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. The sesame chicken was easily a 10/10 crunchy on the outside, soft inside, with a sauce that was perfectly balanced, not too sweet or heavy. The Three Delight was fresh and flavorful, the shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked, and the veggies added the perfect touch. The combo fried rice was loaded with shrimp, chicken, and beef, and everything tasted well seasoned and fresh. This is a great low key laid back vibe for a reasonably priced dinner with great quality Chinese food. The waitress was the sweetest woman ever and gave me an off menu recommendation (i.e. secret menu item) the orange beef stir fry. It was the most tender beef I've ever had with amazing sauce that wasn't overly sweet or overpowering. She was so attentive to us, getting me extra rice before me evening having to ask 11/10 on service. All my friends dishes also look really good and I got to try my friend's orange chicken which was also solid. The warm sake was good and very reasonably priced $6 for a small vase of it. Most dishes were also pretty reasonable around $15-19 each. Will absolutely be making this a more regular place and especially for takeout! read more

Since lunch portions which include soup and an eggroll were available, we ordered that way instead of family style. But we did get the green beans family style. I really enjoyed my garlic chicken. They friends endjoyed the Buddha's delight and orange peel beef. The only complaint was with the sesame chicken. The flavor was good but some pieces were too tough. If you'd ever been to Suzi's kitchen, it was like returning there which was what I was hoping for. They've brightened up the space from its previous look. There's a beautiful cherry blossom and crane mural. But the wood floors, tables and back deck are pretty much the same. I'm so happy that Suzi's is back. It was a favorite years ago. The new location is located across the street from the best. Ail salon (Ten Spot). We did take out of our old favorites: Mongolian beef, sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken. It was all good, just like we remembered. 2026 resolution: only locally-owned, one-location restaurants! Suzi's serves traditional, comforting Chinese meals in a nice (yet not stuffy) spot in the Rosedale neighborhood (off Burnet Rd). Nice to have everyone covered, including a vegetarian section of the menu. Our family of four had: Veggie dumplings appetizer -we opted for steamed, there's the option of pan fried as well (5 stars), Sesame Chicken (5 stars), String Bean Szechwan (5 glowing stars), Orange Tofu (5 stars from a picky teenager!), Eggplant with Hot Garlic Sauce (2 stars: sauce was well seasoned but eggplant tasted heavily of frying oil, were super-saturated with a heavy coating of oil). Three out of four is good. The Yin/Yang fortune cookies are a nice touch, and the our hostess and server were most attentive and efficient. We'll return to try their other entrees. read more

Suzi's previous restaurant, off Anderson near Mopac, was our favorite Chinese restaurant in Austin. So, we are very excited with Suzi's return. I am hoping the menu evolves to include duck, more soups, and salt and pepper fish, squid, and shrimp options. But, lots of choices for now and we are eager to return soon to try some other dishes. In the nature of what could be better next time ... the dining experience felt very rushed. Food came out overly fast, staff was moving crazy fast, almost a frenetic pace really, and we were presented the bill (via credit card machine) no more than a minute after we put our forks down and the plates were removed. Simply, the pacing seemed obviously rushed to make way for the large crowd. This is easily fixable -- and did not take away from the great food and our desire to return soon But, a bit more chill next time please.
