Based on that information, I made the appointment, waited nearly three weeks, took time off work, and drove 25 miles one way, only to be informed upon arrival that I first needed an eye exam and that they would then decide whether to schedule a visual field test approximately three weeks later. This important detail was never communicated to me when I called and clearly explained what I needed. I am extremely disappointed with this lack of communication and the inconvenience it caused.

They only work with older children at this location ​but were quick to give us their recommendation​ for someone nearby that also takes our insurance and is great with younger kids, and then fit my husband and me in right away. The Optometrist here is probably the nicest Optometrist I've visited​, and in 30 years of wearing glasses and/or contacts, that is saying a lot. Eye exams are pretty routine and a lot of Doctors breeze on through but he was very thorough and kind. The optician asked me what styles I like and made recommendations based on what I asked him and stuck within what my insurance covered when I wanted to ​stay under that limit (I primarily wear contacts, so these glasses are replacing a much older pair with an outdated script that I only wear at home in the evenings) and did not try to upsell me. I managed to find a pair of glasses that were similar to my old pair but that I like better. Finally the woman at the front desk was amazing, not only was she super friendly and kind, but she was kind to my kids and made us feel right at home while waiting. We have definitely found our new Vision Care "home".

I could not use them due to blurry vision. Short story is they tried to resolve this with repeated remaking of the lenses and a new eye check resulting in a different prescription. I still have issues with the new glasses and can not wear them, i will ge going to a different place to see if i can get a pair of glasses that work as well as my old glasses that i am wearing now and happy with. It is so very relaxed (her "office" is artistic, stylistic, comfortable living room feel) going through the process with Tamra. She works with the customer - does not dictate TO the customer - what works well (shape, color, frame material etc.). I love the frames we selected - they are incredibly unique, come from a small business in Italy, and are beautifully crafted - it really is a piece of art. People comment all the time on my new glasses - which I love to wear instead of having to rely on contacts every day. The service and commitment to the customer is what I would wish for everything I give my hard-earned money too. They are pricier than those typical mass-produced, boring standard glasses you get at optical stores, but it is so worth it for something that you will use forever - great value.

How do they know I'm not planning to pay out of pocket. It's not like it's expensive to get an eye exam, not to mention my insurgence covered the same exam last time I was there. 2. The website doesn't make you confirm your carrier when making the appointment mentioned so how would anyone know that before arriving? Then when I asked to schedule an in person appointment both the front end and manager acted annoyed and confused with the front end manager only informing me that the doctor was only in on Thursday in what had at this point been their all too familiar annoyed tone and staring blankly at me rather than trying to move forward to make an appointment. I started to try to figure out how to get them to help me before stopping myself and excusing myself to just leave the establishment, not wanting that treatment nor low quality of service any longer. Other local eye doctors I've been to are not this attentive. I am giving 4 out of 5 only because they won't give you your pupillary distance measurement unless you purchase glasses from their optical shop. In order to buy glasses online, you need that measurement, so Robbins doesn't give you that measurement when they give you your glasses prescription. This prevents their patients from being able to buy glasses elsewhere. I know online glasses sales are cutting into the profits of private optical practices like this, but most of us can't afford the $$$ prices of glasses from an eye doctor which is why I always order mine online for about 1/5 the cost of getting them at an eye doctor.

Previously, I had a very positive visit-l came in with a concern about my eyes and was seen quickly. The exam was thorough, and the staff made me feel at ease. Everyone was professional and friendly, which I truly appreciated. However, as of 4/18/26, I'd like to update my experience. I had scheduled an appointment about six months in advance, and unfortunately, I forgot to add it to my calendar and missed it. I take responsibility for that. That said, I did not receive any reminder-no phone call or text-which made it much easier for the appointment to slip through. I was then charged a $100 missed appointment fee. While I understand and respect the need for such policies, the amount feels excessive, especially without any prior reminder. I hope you'll consider the feedback and possibly review your reminder system and fee policy.

Another big box chain was completely disinterested in helping a non-customer with a pack of trial lenses. Eyesite staff told us they did have what we needed and gave us trial lenses at no cost.
