The Monroe Avenue AT&T store is the only one I'll visit because the employees always take the time to help me reduce my bill. During my most recent visit, Brandon was terrific. He helped me upgrade my phone, confirm the special 99 cent Apple Watch promotion, and handle all of the data transfer. Terrible experience all around. The person I worked with claimed he knew what he was doing, but he did not. He ruined the screen protector he tried to put on my phone, and would not fess up to doing so. I was so upset at his lack of skill and the fact that he boasted that he was great at putting screen protectors on. It was so difficult to even get him to stop what he was doing. I had to get through to him that I was not happy, that I wanted him to stop trying to put on this protector after failing at it 30+ times, and that I wanted a refund. This took tons of effort to do, and he did not care that I was unhappy at all. He just kept trying, and every time it got worse. I had to use a firm angry voice to get him to even take pause, as my nice concerned tone of voice got me nowhere. I had to demand what I wanted. This is totally unacceptable behavior from a sales associate. He even had issues with giving me the refund. I tried to get another associate to help but he didn't care either, and went into a back room. Said that the associate I was with knew what he was doing. Yeah right! This experience wasted a ton of my time and I left the store never wanting to return again! PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU, AND WILL GIVE YOU AN EXPERIENCE WORTHY OF TARNISHING YOUR WHOLE DAY! read more

I came in to purchase 3 new iPhones. The employee was with another customer, which is fine. HOWEVER, she did not even acknowledge my presence. No Hello, no I will be with you in a moment, no smile- ZERO! I waited 10 mins... NOTHING. I left and went to another location. Beyond rude behavior. I hope she works in commission. read more

This was probably the worst experience I've had with AT&T since I've been with them. On Saturday 12/9, I broke my phone. This was at 6pm when my phone broke so I looked on the AT&T website to see when they close, it said 8pm so I still had plenty of time to go. As soon as I walked in the manager says to me, "Are you Anna?" To which I said no. She replies, "Oh I'm waiting for Anna so I can leave." Now that interaction alone irritated me because why do I care when you leave? It's 6pm, the store doesn't even close until 8. The store manager and the assistant manager, Carla, both seemed irritated that I was even in the store. The store manager then asked me what I needed so I explained my phone broke and I need one tonight. As I'm sure most people can relate, it's not possible to survive without having a phone. I also explained that I depend on my phone for work as I work in Healthcare and use my phone for security codes to access our Electronic Health Records system so I cannot be without a phone. The store manager then told me that their employee, Xavier would be the one to help me. Before I continue, I just want to say how great Xavier was despite the hand he was dealt. He told me he is a newer employee and never had these issues come up yet so I appreciate what he did for me despite not knowing much. So I was told since my phone is new, I will need to file a claim and get my replacement in 1-2 days. However, since I need a new phone that night, they said I would need to buy a new phone line with a new phone and can return the phone when I get my replacement. I said that's okay. Xavier and I continued to work on switching everything from my broken phone to my new one and we're struggling. Meanwhile, none of the managers came over during this time to help. The store manager actually kept talking about how she needed to leave and said at one point, "so much for leaving early." I'm sorry but I find it incredibly off-putting to hear a store manager talking about leaving early when the store is still open and there are customers in the store. Especially to be met with such disdain and lack of empathy was shocking. Xavier and I are working on switching the Google account to the new phone but to do so, we need access to my broken phone because it's asking to verify my identity but I couldn't since my phone broke. The store manager ends up leaving (doesn't even check with Xavier to see how everything is going) he even says to me, "I guess she's leaving." So I mentioned that to the assistant manager and she starts to yell at me and say "we told you if you needed a new phone, then you have to get a new line" which wasn't even the issue anymore. The issue was transferring my Google account, which she would have known, had she cone over to check on us. Instead after all customers left, Carla sat at the table doing NOTHING. She's yelling at me while I am sobbing and in tears. Xavier says to Carla, "please stop, you're making it worse." The fact that a new employee has to calm down the assistant manager blows my mind. At this point, I've been here for 2 hours, I'm exhausted and now I have this woman yelling at me. I tell Xavier to forget it, I'm going home because I no longer feel safe. He was so apologetic and said I'm so sorry for this while Carla didn't even acknowledge my presence. I felt like a subhuman to her, like I wasn't even a person at that point. At one point Carla says, "you can just go to Walmart to get a new phone" why would I go to Walmart when I came to you for help? I also explained several times my phone is used for work purposes as I work with kids. If I do not have a phone attached to my number, I cannot work. She clearly didn't care or want to understand my situation. Xavier walked me to the door and comforted me before I left which I truly appreciated. I was absolutely disgusted by this interaction with the store manager and assistant manager, Carla. read more

I am always treated very well when at an AT&T store. Probably the only downside is they often waste my time trying to sell me other options. read more

Is it just me or do folks that work at cell stores never really seem to know what they are doing. It took forever to just activate me old phone over to my husbands number since I got a new phone. Plus this store is gigantic and empty. Could you set up an area to sit? Update. Like I said they never know what they're doing. Told I can use my old iPhone4 as an iPod with no sim WRONG. had to drive back over to get a sim after the sales person earlier threw mine away. Pain in the butt. read more

The first time I stopped in to check my eligibility for an upgrade their systems were down. I spent about 20 mins waiting for them to figure things out but no luck. I came back when I knew my contract was up and had a great experience. Kisha was very friendly and helpful. She walked me through the entire process, snagged me a great deal, and just chatted about random things. Almost like a trip to the hair stylist. The wait times were so long. Many people waiting. Only two employees working hard with clients. I asked to speak to the manager. I told her how busy it was and asked if she could maybe help the employees and she flat out refused. Not good customer service and the manager had a very poor attitude. I have to write about George's great customer service! I killed my phone. He showed me the newest Samsung Android, which was a little more expensive than what I had been paying, so he showed me the available phones in my previous range. We discussed that I was ready to go with Direct TV, but I was trying to figure out the cost difference. George involved Nate, the sales manager, who looked up some TWC pricing, so I could make more than a guess of what I would pay monthly. Even better is that George had previously recommended I use the my AT&T app to backup my phone. As soon as I signed up, my contacts and calendar events were all there. Went in with a plan to upgrade two phones and our phone plan, and we were so pleasantly surprised with the service we received from Sal. He explained all of our phone options with us and helped us figure out what was really best for each of us, rather than just pushing the most expensive newest phone. We walked out with our new plans and phones all setup. We could not be happier. He was very informative and definitely knew what he was talking about.
