JCPenney is really your typical suburban boutique. You expect them to carry clothes of pretty much…read moreall sizes and shape at modest prices. Their policies haven't always been the best in recent years but since then, they have improved greatly. Does that show in this store? Apparently so... With this part of Eastview Mall, it's a more budget friendly alternative to shop it than at Lord & Taylor or Von Maur. When it comes to prices, they do vary on what you are looking for but they do have plenty of sales going on that seem to occur at least once a month. The items marked off are well priced, even though they can be "last-season" but if that doesn't bother you, you will definitely catch some great deals here. I love clearance racks which has become my destination of choice in any major department store. This JCPenney to me is so far the best in terms of selection and price. I have walked away with a great amount of new hoodies for only a few dollars each along with other V-neck tees and even some plaid shorts. If you love deals, make this part of your JCPenney shopping experience. So on the store layout and design itself, it pretty much follows the same formula as most JCPenney's do around the area. You have your separate divided areas for clothing and a section for housewares as usual but at least this store has the decency to keep everything in near tip top shape. Sure there are the occasional clothing items that aren't picked up after and some of the dressing rooms aren't that well maintained but the overall cleanliness of the store makes it a pleasant place to shop...it just has a good atmosphere. As most other JCPenney's, this one always has a large selection of jewelry to purchase which does include watches. You'll find a gem in here every now and then for a good price but unless you are really craving a new necklace, earring or bracelet, this area can be completely skipped, unless you enter through the mall's inside entrance where you are faced directly with the glass cases. Just veer off to the either left or right to avoid temptation but if you want to indulge in a jewelry shopping spree, you'll have a blast. Customer service is also another important factor in judging this store. With this being located in such a busy mall, you would expect the salespeople to be less helpful and attentive but it is actually the opposite. The sales associates and clerks are very helpful and always seem to have an upbeat positive attitude while they are working. It's very nice to see that they do appear to like their job and make sure that customer satisfaction is the top priority. Not only does this make return customers like myself, but it makes the atmosphere light and comfortable. I am really blown away by this branch, considering other JCPenney's haven't been so hot. However, I can safely say this is an ideal store to visit when you choose to visit Eastview. Not only will probably save money, but you will most likely leave feeling better then you did when you entered!

I was next in line but one cashier had to leave and get something for the people she was helping and the other kept checking out people who weren't in the line. The line seemed pretty well marked, unless there was some VIP line I didn't know about, which could be the case. Anyway, I got to check out after a short wait. I was asked if I wanted to round up for JC Penny cares, which I don't know what this is but it sounds like a clever ploy for the company to pay less taxes. I said No Thank you, but she rounded up my price anyway. I was too uncomfortable to say anything so I paid the extra 81 cents. Anyway they have a good belt collection so 5 stars.

I've been to other Dick's where they were a bit larger then this one...if you take that statement…read morethe correct way. However, if you are big into fitness, this is one of the best stores in the mall that you can visit. They were doing some remodeling last year but the interior still looks brand new and clean. There is a lot of space to move around in most of the departments around the store. I'm sill surprised to see that all of the stock is still not thrown about on the floor or tossed around in random locations! This makes shopping here so much easier. There selection of fitness equipment is excellent but they do carry a high price tag. However, it's still enjoyable to be able to see so many located in just one store. They also do have a lot of gear tailored to women's and men's fitness that are somewhat reasonably priced but you are paying for the quality here. They also have areas for basketball, baseball, golf, pool and so forth each with their own areas suited for each individual's interests, all nicely decorated and organized so browsing couldn't be easier. If you don't really like sports or fitness all that much, this really isn't the store for you but if you are interested in at least on of these categories, you should have some luck here.

I was…read moreplanning on going to the pet store and to dicks, but I wanted to bring my dog to the pet store. Of course i didn't want to leave him in the car at dicks, so I called before I left and asked if they allowed pets- and they did! As long as they're leashed, you clean up after any accidents, well behaved and non aggressive (no aggression at *all*) they're welcome in the store! So my 8 y/o lab got to take his first trip to dicks today with me. We were greeted when we walked in, several people asked if we needed help finding anything, the store was organized, and the best part was there was nothing on the ground that my dog might potentially step on or eat which was fantastic. I was expecting it to be a bit dirty considering they have a mall entrance but it was very clean. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. My dog had lots of fun on his adventures today and I really appreciate the staff allowing us in. We got to work on some training and got some really good training in the store. I look forward to coming here with my dogs again in the future! Definitely going to be the reason I come here more often. Thank you to the employees! Side note- the mall is NOT pet friendly so please don't bring your pet in the mall. Go in through the outdoor entrance and DONT go into the mall with your pet. Please make sure they're well behaved and don't pee or poop on anything, not at all aggressive, leashed on a regular length leash, etc. if people don't follow this the privilege to bring them in will be taken away. Remember not everyone wants to see a dog in the store and they don't necessarily want to say hi to them. And dogs can also get very stressed in stores so if your dog gets stressed or you think they will, for their own sake please leave them at home! I'm hoping nobody will abuse this privilege to bring pets in and gets it removed because Finn would be very sad. Please don't make Finn sad! Thank you

Kendra encouraged me to go back in the store as I said I want this store to get credit for an in-store sale. Everyone makes mistakes but I was looking for some last minute solutions and the manager at the Henrietta store I spoke with just hours before the ceremony, Jon Shepard, moved mountains and put in a lot of effort to do a crash-build of a new suit for me with what was in stock in his store. Then, with the clock running out, he pulled enough strings for me to have a staff member (Trent) make the drive down to deliver the suit to the venue with about 10 minutes to spare and saved me from being the ugly duckling in the wedding party.
