Expect to wait 2 hours for your scheduled appointments booked months in advance. Staff and doctors take the brunt of it, since the scheduling system is not managed efficiently. Ocusight is very difficult to communicate with. I had glaucoma surgery there 6years ago. Now I need an MRI and the imaging tech stated due to new safety protocol, they need to obtain information on the procedure performed. I've made repeat phone calls over 8 days to try to obtain the data to allow the MRI. I'm in severe pain and frustrated in the delay in responding to this request. read more

I made an appointment with Occusite. I arrive on time, but after waiting 45 minutes I asked how long it would be. I was told the doctor wasn't even in yet! No "I'm sorry, we'll reschedule ", nothing. When I said to cancel the appointment, they tried to charge me a co-pay! Now their robo caller calls every Sunday to try to reschedule even though I've moved on to a different provider. Dr Rucci has been my eye doctor since i was a kid (i am now 23). He has always taken great care of me and answered all of my questions. He is kind and patient. Their optician, Scott Davies is my favorite to see. He is resourceful and helpful. He always has an answer and a smile. Disrespectful front office staff! I show up to my 8:15 appt after getting two kids up early to make on time from Henrietta to Webster. Only to show up and have the staff tell me they have a staff meeting so I could not possibly have an appointment today. As I wait outside (in the cold with my 4 year old), for them to confirm, another staff comes out to tell me that I called and rescheduled my own appointment. How convenient! How intuitive am I to know they had a staff meeting, and reschedule my own appointment to a day im out of town!! I'm not pissed that they canceled it and made the unfortunate mistake of not notifying me. What I am most upset about is the lying directly to my face. I had a completely different experience than the reviews listed. I had a procedure done by Dr. Rosenberg and he was very thorough with making sure my insurance covered the surgery and that I was aware of what the surgery and recovery would entail. He is very friendly and I felt completely comfortable talking to him and his nurse. The entire staff was more than helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenberg and the OcuSight center. Husband brought our son there for an eye exam today. Appointment was at 11 am. Husband and son arrived at 10:45 am as instructed. They were placed in an exam room by a nurse at 11. Doctor did not enter exam room until 12 pm! He gave my son dilating drops and told them that they had to wait another 20 min. Doctor/RN couldn't give drops when they initially put him in a room???? Ridiculous. Poorly run office. Will be finding a different eye doctor for my son. read more

I had a very bad experience with the "store" part of the Ocusite business. I've always been very pleased with the doctor, I've seen him for more than 10 years. But recently I had to buy a new pair of glasses at the store and was just treated very poorly by a store staff member. She recommended a product that just wasn't working for me and ended the experience in a very unprofessional manner, not looking to help me with my problem, just get me out the door. They must work on commission pay -- very non-customer service oriented and rude. read more

I was really scared to check out this OcuSight eye care center, because of the negative reviews. I am thrilled that I did not listen. I had a cyst on my left eye duct area and I needed it to be removed. I went in at 9 for my consultation and they told me that they could remove it today. I had Sean P. Mogan as my doctor. He was so nice and explained everything to me as he went along. I was done by 10:30. There is no perfect place, though. The girl that checked us out was a stoned faced and not a people person at all. I've been seeing Dr. Napoleon Rucci at Ocusight annually for many years, first in Brighton and more recently (4 years?) at the Webster office. I keep going because I'm treated pretty well there, and have complete confidence in the doctor to care for my eyes. A few minor grumbles: 1) I ride a scooter and the doors are not automatic, making access to the building difficult, unless some nice person comes along and holds the door. 2) Often excessive wait times before being seen (but quite efficient once called.) 3) Prices for glasses seem high, but, you are free to take your prescription anywhere. 4) Not their fault but a heads up: The driveway entrance to the building has been moved (by the town?) to the west, over by the new Wendy's. read more

Incredibly frustrating and completely unhelpful staff. I just called three locations trying to make an appointment as a returning patient for my daughter and myself. My location was unable to make our appointments together ... it was too much for them to handle making a mother and daughter's appointments together or back to back. Then I called a second location and they could not accommodate that either. I called a third location and the person ,argued with every suggestion I made, essentially telling me the exact opposite of whatever I suggested. They are condescending and deliberately unhelpful. TERRIBLE!! Bought a pair of expensive frames and it broke twice in two years -- and they make you pay for the repair!!! Never in my life have I had so much trouble with a pair of eye glasses -- they should stand behind their products. I first visited the Ocusight office in Webster to have the field of vision test to see if I qualified to have a blepharoplasty (lid lift) for medical reasons. Doctor Rosenberg came highly recommended to me by several people. during the exam he said I also needed to have a brow lift. Since I tested outside the normal eye sight I assumed my major medical would pay for the procedure. That was my first mistake as they scheduled my surgery before clearance was received by my insurance company. A big part of my frustration occurred with them but then I rescheduled the procedure for a few weeks later. I then called the doctor's assistant who I had been working with closely on this only to hear an outgoing message stating that she was out of the office until the day before my surgery. When I called the general office number I was told by a women named Amy that if she did get to this it would be a few days and that it would be a courtesy. When I asked her "what should I do, should I still plan on having the surgery"? She said, "I don't really care what you do". In my frustration, I left a message for the doctor to return my call and did receive a call, not from him but from the office manager. It has now been a week since the doctor's office assistant returned from vacation and not a single call from her. Oh, insurance did decline payment based on the information that was sent to them. I can understand those that have gone and find the Ophthalmologist a little condescending so to speak, but that is just Dr Rosenberg, being Dr Rosenberg! I work at RRH and I know him and he is a very caring physician - the office- however, can be very rude and I dont know where they get off thinking they are better than the rest of us plain folks - LOL - Maybe I have gotten used to them, but I like the Optomotrist that I go to at Occusight in Webster and I love Dr Rosenberg and Dr Mogun.
