Meh....walmart. I brave this one because I can save about $6-8 on oil for my car, as my oil changes cost enough as is the savings is worth the risk to live and limb...just barley. I avoid the front entrance at all costs, not only because of the people asking for you to sign something or give money or buy some crap, but because if I used the front entrance then I would have to walk across the store to get my oil. If I use the garden entrance I just have to avoid the people at the garden area, walk down the back isle to the oil, grab and go. The garden area is a joke, the prices are no better then anywhere else, and the plants just don't look their best. I have had one positive experiences here, so that is why they are getting a 2 start rather then a 1 star. I had just moved back to the upland area and I need some supplies quick to finish off my move. I went to this store on a Saturday or Sunday morning right when they opened. All the crack heads where still sleeping and the screaming babies must of still be watching TV. The store was empty and actually semi organized. I walked in grabbed my few items, checked out and was on my way..... it was like shopping at a normal store!!! I do not consider myself a walk mart shopper, but when I use to drive around the country a lot I found walmart to be very easy to find and get what I needed. This review is pertaining to their Photo area. I ordered something beginning of June for a gift on Father's day. The gift was going to be late which I already knew. After a week from the due date I still hadn't received anything. I reached out to customer service online who said the package did indeed come on the due dat, but they weren't sure why I never received my package. After talking to 3 different people and even going into the store it appears my package may have been lost. I then reached out to corporate where I received an email that I was supposed to get a call from them within 72 hours to resolve the issue. Still nothing after a week and a half. If you have something important you want to order that consists of photos, I suggest ordering from Shutterfly or another reputable company. Clearly Walmart could care less about your shopping experience. read more

I am *not* a Walmart shopper, so for me to set foot in a Walmart is unusual to begin with. Now I remember why I don't shop there. First of all, my story started when I was browsing around online for a wireless router. The Walmart website had the cheapest one, and it was available for pick-up in Chino Hills. I went to Chino Hills and they did not have the cheap one that I was looking for. Since I was already there though I went ahead and bought the next least expensive one ($10 more than I had anticipated). So, I believe that is called a "bait and switch"... not that that had to do with the Walmart on Foothill, but the whole company is just horrible. Anyway, a couple of weeks later, the stupid router stopped working. Unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt, but I figured if I just wanted to exchange it for the exact same item it shouldn't be much of a problem. Most retail outlets have no problems with exchanges. I had no idea the headache I was in for. I waited for what seemed like an eternity or two in the line for the "customer service" (HA!) desk, and when I finally got up I explained the situation to the lady (the term lady is used loosely here, P.S. I think her name was Laura). Without a second though, she said "no receipt, nothing we can do". I wasn't about to take that lying down, I did not spend $35 for a total piece of crap; I wanted my replacement router! So, I basically tore into Laura and told her what I think of Walmart and their employees (my bad, but it still felt good). Oh, here is where I'd like to add that I had brought the replacement router up the the counter with me, all she had to do was add a sticker and I could have been on my way. Also, the lady in the electroincs section said an exchange would be fine, I'd just have to go to customer service. Anyway, after my chat with my new best friend Laura, I went back to the electronics section to look for a manager. Luckily the first employee I happened to ask was a manager! I asked him about exchanging and explained my situation with the receipt, but explained that everything was intact, in box, etc. He said it would not be a problem, just go up to the register and tell them the manager had said it was ok to exchange it. Well, I went up to the register and the same thing happened, again. "No receipt, no exchange". I had about had it at this point. If I were trying to get cash back maybe I could have seen the big deal, but I wanted an exchange for the EXACT... SAME... ITEM! So a supervisor was called up to the register. I looked into her dull, porcine eyes and tried to explain to her what a "bait and switch" was (yeah, I was pretty livid at this point), and she turned me away. Finally, I went back to where I had seen the manager, thankfully he was still there. I told him they were giving me trouble, and so he went up with me and told the exchange lady that it was fine to process my exchange. That wasn't the end! They needed my ID! I didn't know I needed it! Ugh, so then Laura was talking to my other new "friend" about how my grandma had to get my grandpa to use his ID, and she was saying it in a really snobby way, making sure that I could overhear her. At that point I had realized that I wasn't being too nice either, so I tried to apologize and explain my situation. Blank look. Finally, my grandpa came in, they scanned his ID, and we were on our way with my replacement router. I just want to add here, the manager was really great about the whole situation, most of my beef was with the fact that Walmart can't get their policies straight (shouldn't all of the employees be on the same page?), and that Laura, the lady at the customer service desk, had a horrible attitude. In closing, the next time I need something, I don't care if it's like $400 everywhere else vs $100 at Walmart, I'd rather waste my money than buy something from Walmart and have to deal with their typical clientele and apathetic employees. read more

The cashier named HENRY (short, middle aged black dude) is SO SLOW. This guy stops ringing up customer to look around and be up in everything else going on around him when his line is packed! If I can give this store a 0 I will. This store is the worst store ever! Customer service is awful! Very unfriendly especially at the return service, Dianne thinks she's Mrs. Wal-Mart! Return policy is ridiculous! They don't even have there return nor refund policy posted at customer service, not even on the receipt. I think purposely so they can make up there own policy with biased! I watch and heard Dianne told two young man in return line, she told them * no receipt, no return*. Next in line, An older lady returned something without receipt, gave her a store credit. Our turn, we wanted a price match for a product we bought two weeks ago for about $30 but now selling for $21. Dianne said she's not able to do price adjustments even with a receipt. Anyway, so frustrating! It got resolved after almost 30 minutes of waiting for the manager to decide what to do on something simple. One positive - the graffiti situation at this WalMart is now apparently under control. Another positive - when I use this WalMart for oil changes, I usually get good service. That having been said, this WalMart suffers from not being "super" size. I'm pretty sure everyone comes here to read stories about walmart. I bought something here but no longer need it so I went to return it. The customer service is non existent in walmart. Of course, when i decided to go to walmart to purchase what i need, i already know there will be no help but i didn't expect myself to go return it. There was about 2 or 3 customer's ahead of me and one staff working at the counter. The staff, very rude, refusing to help, extraordinarily slow-paced. Took her probably 10 minutes per person to return an item. So, I literally stood there for 20-30 minutes waiting. To top that off, the old lady in front of me refused to move up and the gentlemen behind me kept screaming, "ARE YALL GONNA MOVE UP!? IF YALL NOT MOVING UP, IMA CUT YALL OFF..". Here I am in the middle of these two trying hard not to crack a smile because this is just too amusing!! Finally, the lady decided to move up and no one got cut or hurt. To get items cheaper by a couple cents, to me, not worth it. So I've learned my lesson and will try very hard not to step into another walmart for a very long time. read more

Just went through the most racist experience ever at this walmart me and my wife are trying to turn in a tv that they sold to us broken at first they denied said they cant help us call the 800 number, we did just that ans the company said they will make it right. I talk to i guess a manager or a associate kept cutting me off while i was talking which led to an irritable situation after i told him to let me finish talking he threaten me with the cops now i dont know what kind of customer service training they offer here but thats not how you deal with custimers you only call cops when your life is threaten and no life was threaten just an over incompetent person instead of making things right with a customer he threatens them with the cops i am sick to my stomach that this happen to me in front of my wife and walmart wont do a thing because they dont care about their customers because all they want to do is to make it very uneasy and very difficult to complete one task. The experience here is mediocre at best. Its Walmart, don't expect good customer service or a nice clean store. Its ghetto and they always have some trashy people that come here. You should expect that sort of shopping experience when you visit a discount retailer. You save a lot of money and their returns policy is better than any other store. The trade of for savings is that the associates suck and aren't helpful and that a fellow shopper might stab you. I'm not going to go elsewhere because of it, I just plan my shopping for slow times of the day. Tip: Wear an armored vest and you could be molested in the parking lot. read more

Unfortunately I decided to visit This Walmart 11/1/19 around 5PM and had the misfortune of having Shelley assist me. Or should I say not assist me. For the 10-15 min I was waiting for my turn I couldn't help but notice how VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and immature she was. From making faces at other customers to making unnecessary comments about that same customer in front of all us other customers. I couldn't help but be embarrass for Walmart. I can't lie the oil change here is great. However the customer service is trash. I've been up here 4 days in a row at different times and they are closing earlier then posted. They keep saying everyone called out. One of the technicians finally said park your car on the side and leave your key inside. I go in and 2 associates look up at me and then continue talking to each other. I asked to speak to the manager and the woman who ignored me Amalia says she's the manger. I told her no way you're the manager with how terrible your customer service is. She then calls for a manager and a team lead comes. Still not a manager. Then Diana who is a regular associate jumps in and she's also no help. Then Diana and Amalia start talking about me to each other! It's ridiculous. All the auto staff is terrible and rude. In the clearance isle looking at plastic storage containers, first I thought he only came thinking I was tearing up his isle LOL but I told him I was looking for containers that weren't damaged. I try not to use the self check out registers as much as possible. I feel like they take away human jobs. Unfortunately, I was forced to use it last weekend. It was around 950 pm on a Sunday and we got in line to pay. After standing there for a few minutes the girl at the register rudely informed me that her line was closed,pointed to her light, and said that is why her light was off!! I came up here for an oil change. Parked the car and went inside. I believe the gentleman who helped me must have been a lead in the automotive department. He was nice and helped decide on the right oil change for my car. Because of the low staff, I had to wait a couple hours for my car. I headed home until I received a phone call stating my car was ready. Came back up and had to wait probably 15 minutes for what could have been a 2 min transaction. There was a gentleman in front of me who was trying to purchase a battery for his mobile home. When the clerk scanned, the price came up different from what he found the battery priced at on the shelf. Rather than honoring the mistake the staff had made for not probably stocking it in the correct place, the lady argued with the customer and continued to point blame at customers. I've worked in retail before and I've learned that if the item is misplaced and a customer finds it before you, you honor the price. This lady refused and refused. Finally a second clerk came over and told the first clerk to honor it. She again refused and pointed blame at customers. At this point, I just wanted to pay and get my car. Eventually, the customer found the correct battery, paid and left. read more

Addendum: My experience was egregious due to the fact that I was a "walk-in" customer. My car was not in line for service. The manager (or any other worker) would/did not have to check/remove/replace the battery on my vehicle in a bay or parking lot. The battery in question was in a shopping cart at the cash register. Raymond (the manager) immediately spent about 90 seconds checking my battery and then pronounced it as "needing to be charged for about 1 - 1 1/2 hours". AutoZone, O'Rielly's, and even the Automobile Club on a house call will check the battery and a vehicle's complete charging system in less than 5 minutes and be able to diagnose the battery as needing replacement. As I stated in my original complaint, requiring two hours of a customer's time is an unacceptable practice if a business is concerned about professionalism. read more

This is for the tire and lube manager. How someone like that became a manager is beyond me. I get to the tire lube center at 6:15am on Saturday morning to make sure I'm the first one in line at 7am when they open. One guy pulls in behind me leaves his car and goes away. Another guy waits with me the right way until they open the customer side door. They open the door at 7am and I see the guy who left his car and someone else in line. I'm thinking no big deal my car is first in line so I'll be first and done quick. I get up to the register to talk to the guy that I guess you can call a manager by his name tag not by his performance and say hey before we get started am I 3rd in line? He says yes you are 3rd. I respond how is that since I've been here 1st? The lame duck manager says how they have been here since 630am? I say I've been here at 6:15am nobody was in line!!!! Sir there is nothing I can do. The manager can barley put his apron on when trying to serve the customers. This guy might want to get out from behind the counter to see whats going on in the driveway of the oil change line. I know it's hot outside and he doesn't want to go outside to break a sweat. If you want to go to this location and get an oil change and get screwed come to this location. The only way I see them getting better is don't make people managers that can't help customers, put on an apron, get out and actually help the team. # get bent. read more
