Tomato bisque soup and mixed green salad

A hidden gem for a perfect, peaceful, afternoon tea in a charming, picturesque building. The old world architecture and cottage like decor gives you an authentic garden like tea experience. At the Olde Magnolia Tea Room you'll experience exceptional service by the amazing, friendly staff and owners! The refreshing tea is imported from England and can be purchased at the front desk. Excellent variety of teas, sandwiches, and desserts. Home made cookie recipes from grandma were a treat!!

Top tier of home made desserts

Super cute place in old Upland. Great service and excellent food. Parking right across the building in free parking lot. Very reasonable price for the amount and quality of good. Could not finish.

Hosted an intimate tea for my mom the Saturday before Mother's Day. We ordered the full tea menu, everything was delicious. Terry and the other staff were very friendly and hospitable. The noise level was moderate and I loved it. You could tell people were enjoying themselves.

This is a wonderful place to get together for a British afternoon tea. I met a few friends for the high-tea service (some were not available, hopefully we can return and share the experience with them). Thank you, Te-see, for making the reservations and sending the payment for confirmation. The owners pride themselves on providing excellent customer service in a quaint Cafe atmosphere. They decorate for each season and holiday. The High-Tea is approximately $40 per person and includes two teapots, baked scones, finger sandwiches, homemade jam and Devomshire cream, lemon curd and dessert pastries. Note 1: Full Tea Service for $5 more will include soup and garden salad. Note 2: Wine, Champagne or Mimosas are available $10-$15 per glass. Note 3: I adored the antique furnishings and the little gift shop by the fireplace where you can buy vintage clothing and jewelry or a teacup and saucer to take home. 5 stars in service 5 stars in menu 5 stars in ambiance/decor 4.5 stars in tea flavor could be more robust Sincerely, Rosemary

Beautiful experience! Would highly recommend. My group of 5 besties will definitely return! Please book your day and enjoy an unforgettable experience.

I love afternoon tea and was excited to try this place as it came highly recommended by a Yelp friend and I saw that it has ton of 5-star reviews! Making reservations was easy, I entered my contact info on their website and received a call back to schedule my reservation. I had the option of booking indoor or outdoor seating, and normally I would love to sit outside, however with the weather being so finicky lately (either really hot or unexpected rain), I opted to sit inside to avoid any uncomfortable temperatures. The restaurant decor was cute and decorated in fall colors. There were lots of Disney themed items and cute details throughout. It is a bit much for me personally, but I can see the charm. Overall the most bizarre tea experience I've had. The main thing I remembered from this experience was the condescending way our server Terry acted. I wish that Terry would communicate all his rules and expectations upon arrival. I honestly think he tries to be friendly, but he comes off as being insincere and smiling for him seems forced. He seemed to be a stickler for rules and seems to gets anxiety for any deviation from his rules. We arrived to our 11:00 am reservation a few minutes early. As I never had been here before, we followed another party through the side entrance since the main door wasn't open and there was no sign about waiting until the doors were unlocked, so we thought the entrance was through the gate as we saw a lot of people there. We were told by Terry to exit and wait at the front door until they opened. Strange, as most places will probably check you in and ask you to wait until your table is ready. When the doors finally opened, we were seated immediately, we placed our orders and then got up to use the restroom and look around while we waited for our tea to arrive. We were then told by Terry to return to our seats and that we could look around after our tea service ended. ??!? I couldn't believe we were being reprimanded for looking around... We received our scones, fresh and warm from the over. They were delightful and the best part of the tea. There was lemon curd and clotted cream, but in such a small amount. However, I was scared of asking for more in fear of being reprimanded again. The sandwiches were ok, the tea was ok. We had the Buckingham Palace black tea and the Maple Ginger herbal tea. The Maple Ginger was really fragrant and good, the Buckingham Palace tea was on the weak side and very pale for a black tea. I wish it was more robust, so I was a bit disappointed with that blend. I asked about refilling the pot and Terry was said that we needed to angle the lid on top of the pot to indicate that we needed a refill because "that's how they do it in Europe". Ok, didn't realize we were on European rules here. Once again, a little communication before hand would've been helpful. My friend and I both felt uncomfortable and awkward about our entire experience and do not plan to return.

High Tea has been a Royal tradition for centuries and continues to hold its place amongst tea lovers. For decades I have had the pleasure of experiencing this tradition at many tea houses all over the world and today I finally made my way here after the rave reviews on Yelp. As soon as I stepped inside I was swept into my Nana's living room. It was filled with the most beautiful vintage tea paraphernalia, clothes and jewelry. There were two rooms set perfectly for afternoon tea. I loved the Fall decorations, the hat boxes and vintage coats. The owner Terry, greeted our group and sat us at a table for 4. We loved it! Service here was impeccable! The staff were busy serving many tables and a few large parties and didn't even sweat:) They checked in on us many times which was appreciated. *We all ordered The Regular Afternoon Tea ($36 each) which came with: 2 Pots of Tea - We Picked: Buckingham Palace (Black Tea) & The Orange Passionfruit (Herbal Tea). The Tea was my least favorite...It was not strong enough and the herbal tea had no flavor at all:( *Homemade Baked Scone w/Homemade Jam &Homemade Devonshire Cream ~ 5/5 Vanilla Bean with Ghirardelli White Chocolate Chips...YUM! *An Assortment of Finger Sandwiches - (chicken salad with dill 5/5, Egg salad 5/5, Cucumber 5/5, Red pepper Cream Cheese 5/5 *Assortment of Homemade Desserts ~ scrumptious! Opened just before Covid and has been thriving ever since. The outdoor patio is available but on a hot day I would recommend sitting inside. You can feel the love that went into this tea house...every tea cup and tea pot tells a story...Many were gifted to Terry from his grandmother who had a Tea House in Paris... *3 Hour parking on the street & in the lot across the street *Great for bridal showers, baby showers, birthday's and just because!

I've seriously wanted to come here for years! I've seen the photos from others who have been here and it has always looked so cute and fun. So when some friends of mine suggested afternoon tea here, you better believe I was all over that! Terry served us and was so incredibly sweet and helpful. All the staff was great and jumped in to help all the parties that were there. The decor is awesome. They also have a cute little gift shop and sell local honey. The Regular Afternoon Tea comes with two pots of tea (we got Buckingham Palace and Orange Passionfruit) a homemade baked scone which was vanilla bean blueberry with Ghirardelli white chocolate, homemade strawberry jam, homemade Devonshire cream, homemade lemon curd, and an assortment of finger sandwiches and homemade desserts. The tea needed to be a little stronger for me--as a result I didn't add any sugar or milk. Terry did make one pot stronger, so I think adjustments can be made if you need it. But the food was incredible! The scone was so delicious and the sandwiches were all really good--hard to pick a favorite. I'd definitely come here again! Thank you, Olde Magnolia Tea Room! And thank you to my friends for a lovely afternoon!

Way overdue for this review... but, The Olde Magnolia Tea Room is Top Tier!!! Held my daughter's bridal shower here last Fall and I'm still receiving compliments on how amazing it was! Owners Terry & Michael and our host were absolutely amazing! Terry was so accommodating with my constant questions as we were planning and just overall amazing service! The ambience was perfect! p.s made her favors from The organic honey that they sell!

We went today for my daughter's birthday and it was such a beautiful experience! Everything was perfectly decorated and set-up. We were greeted by Miranda and she was so kind, informative and sweet. Terry had helped me out over the phone and was so sweet on the phone and in person! He made the experience so beautiful and magical, not only for my daughter but all of us! All the food and teas were so delicious!! It's an absolute must visit! We drove an hour to visit and soooo worth it. Thank you for the incredible experience! We will be back!!!

Who wants High Tea? My daughter and I came here for the Afternoon Tea. The Team Room was absolutely amazing. It is beautifully decorated inside. They also have patio dining for parties, too. Both the owner and workers were fantastic. The service was fantastic. Ordered Afternoon Tea: 2 Pot of Tea, Baked Scone, Jam, Devonshire Cream, Lemon Curd Finger Sandwiches - Cucumber Dills, Egg Salad, Chicken Salad and Desserts Everything was delicious! You can purchase the vintages items or even teapots displayed throughout the restaurant. Highly recommend!

I came here for the first time and it definitely won't be the last! All of the teas and desserts we got were so delicious. My favorite was the cheesecake bite. Beautifully decorated and excellent service. I had so much fun!

Terry and Michael home make and serve the most delectable teas and small bites in their over the top decor establishment. I always look forward to coming.

I've NEVER had Thai tea soft serve this good. It's light, creamy, not overly sweet, and doesn't taste fake--just smooth, legit goodness. Like if Thai tea and soft serve had a glow-up. And the toppings?? They understood the assignment. Coco jelly, cereal flakes, grass jelly, AND boba... it's giving texture, it's giving balance, it's giving "I need another one immediately." I finished mine and sat there like... should I? Because I might. Now let's address the boba. I usually don't even like boba (I said what I said), but theirs?? Warm, soft, perfectly chewy... borderline life-changing. Who am I?? The shop itself is a cute little hole-in-the-wall with a sweet, cozy vibe. Service was fast, friendly, and just good energy all around--no stress, no chaos, just vibes. I genuinely wish they had one closer to me because I would 100% be that person pulling up way too often. This was one of the most organized events I've been to. To start, the manager arrived around 8:30am to hand out tickets and ensure that there were no line cutters - even though the store didn't open until 12pm. That's super early considering most events don't hand out tickets until 1 hour or less before the start time. Around 11am, the manager came around and gave us drinks if we won a game. Options were tic tac toe, guess the Sunright drink, or boba trivia. I played and got the white peach oolong milk tea in a can, which was really generous. Shortly after, staff came around to take our orders outside the store so that they could begin prepping and shorten the wait time once we went in to pay. I ordered the special anniversary Upland lemon creamsicle drink and got the fragrant oolong milk tea with sunny jelly as my free drink for being the first 150. I also got to spin the wheel for purchasing the lemon creamsicle and got a white mug. The store is big with ample seating to enjoy your drinks and hang out. Nothing would matter if the drinks aren't good, but Sunright delivers consistent quality, and the lemon creamsicle drink was icy and refreshing on a hot day. It really did taste like a creamsicle. I have brought my friends who have never tried before and they also liked it! Sunright is one of my favorite spots and I am sad to see some close down, but happy to be able to still visit this one when I'm passing through. The drinks are always generous and filled to the top (even when you say less ice!) When I ask for less sweet, it's just what hits the spot. If you like smoothies, highly recommend the strawberry frostie (they use real strawberries and it is amazing). I also like the mango frostie - it tastes like a dessert and it includes jelly that is jasmine tea flavored! My previous favorite was the panda milk tea as they have 2 different types of boba and is so creamy and delicious. I like to try their new drinks and then end up with new favorites at the time depending on my mood. My brother in law loves the oreo milk tea with boba. The coffee oolong is also essential if you are a fan of coffee. It's a perfect mix for coffee or tea lovers. 100% highly recommend for everyone to try their drinks - their boba is always the perfect texture even if I have it next day. Their mochi waffles are also very addicting but best eaten fresh and right away while they are warm!
