I've been an avid drinker of Sunright but rarely in this area, so I made it a mission to visit this store location for their 3rd anniversary event. This was one of the most organized events I've been to. To start, the manager arrived around 8:30am to hand out tickets and ensure that there were no line cutters - even though the store didn't open until 12pm. That's super early considering most events don't hand out tickets until 1 hour or less before the start time. Around 11am, the manager came around and gave us drinks if we won a game. Options were tic tac toe, guess the Sunright drink, or boba trivia. I played and got the white peach oolong milk tea in a can, which was really generous. Shortly after, staff came around to take our orders outside the store so that they could begin prepping and shorten the wait time once we went in to pay. I ordered the special anniversary Upland lemon creamsicle drink and got the fragrant oolong milk tea with sunny jelly as my free drink for being the first 150. I also got to spin the wheel for purchasing the lemon creamsicle and got a white mug. The store is big with ample seating to enjoy your drinks and hang out. Nothing would matter if the drinks aren't good, but Sunright delivers consistent quality, and the lemon creamsicle drink was icy and refreshing on a hot day. It really did taste like a creamsicle. Overall, staff were really efficient and nice, and drinks are always good quality with good variety on the menu. read more

Always great customer service and I went to the grand opening and am so glad to see it's still up and running. They have never disappointed and the drinks are always PERFECT. I have brought my friends who have never tried before and they also liked it! Sunright is one of my favorite spots and I am sad to see some close down, but happy to be able to still visit this one when I'm passing through. The drinks are always generous and filled to the top (even when you say less ice!) When I ask for less sweet, it's just what hits the spot. If you like smoothies, highly recommend the strawberry frostie (they use real strawberries and it is amazing). I also like the mango frostie - it tastes like a dessert and it includes jelly that is jasmine tea flavored! My previous favorite was the panda milk tea as they have 2 different types of boba and is so creamy and delicious. I like to try their new drinks and then end up with new favorites at the time depending on my mood. My brother in law loves the oreo milk tea with boba. The coffee oolong is also essential if you are a fan of coffee. It's a perfect mix for coffee or tea lovers. 100% highly recommend for everyone to try their drinks - their boba is always the perfect texture even if I have it next day. Prices: Around $10 per drink, which is similar to other tea places nearby. Fair, but not competitive enough to make this our go-to. Overall Vibe: Service was fine and the atmosphere was nice, but in the end nothing blew us away. It wasn't a bad visit, but it also didn't leave us excited to come back. Would We Return? Probably not, unless we're in the area and craving tea. For now, we'll stick with our favorite tea spots that deliver more flavor and uniqueness. In Upland, I know of a few boba shops. Most recently, I discovered Sunright Tea Studio has opened up a location at the Upland Shopping Center. I was so excited I had to swing on by to pay them a visit. I've only been to their Eastvale location. It's nice to have them in Upland since I frequent this city regularly. Upon entry, I was amazed by its good open space and bright yellow colors. They have inside tables and chairs for chilling unlike their Eastvale location. There's a long hallway that takes you to the restrooms. There are two kiosks for self ordering and one register for counter ordering. I used the kiosk as it was easier. I got the Mango Milk Tea with egg pudding and no ice. First time having mango milk tea... it was quite good actually. Good mango flavor and smooth consistency. It's almost like a mango smoothie. Egg pudding was yummy. I would get it again. Staff was nice. Service was quick. Good place to hangout. I'll be back for more Sunright Tea! Btw, they do have a reusable cup policy if you're interested. read more

I've been here about 3 times and I think their drinks are okay. I've had all kinds of their milk tea, and in my opinion, there are better spots than this. I like that they offer both snacks and drinks. Not every location I've gone to offers both. The upland location is also very spacious and in a good spot. The restroom is clean, and they also have table games to play when you hang out with friends or family. They have kiosks to place your order but the people behind the counter will help you if you have questions about your drink in my experience. The video game collaborations are also great and you can customize your drink. I wish they offered non-dairy creamer or lactose free milk as a default though cause the default is regular milk. read more

The person working made me feel unsafe because of my allergy, which can be deadly. They were rude from the beginning. I was worried about my milk (whey) allergy, so I stepped to the side to see what my options were, as Boba tea places are never an issue for me and I just needed time to look over the menu. When I was ready to order, the person working told me to go use the kiosk. I noticed that there was a sign that said first time customers can order at the counter, and because I was a first-time customer I thought that was acceptable. I then mentioned to her kindly that I had specifications about my allergy and wanted to make a note in person, and she snapped back and told me I should use the kiosk and that I could "write allergy" in the kiosk. She looked very annoyed, and made me feel like she didn't take my allergy seriously. Her tone was aggressive, and glared at me intensely. She made me incredibly uncomfortable as a customer. Everything in her body language from the beginning to the end of the experience was hostile. There are plenty of other Boba places so I definitely won't be back, but wanted management to know because you should be aware that you have staff working in the day that treat their customers like this. I have to be safe when it comes to my allergy, because it can be deadly for me. I didn't feel safe, all because someone was rude and careless. My sister told me about this place before and I decided to give it a try. It's in a plaza where I normally get Pho Century so there is a lot of parking. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me and was friendly. The inside looked really clean and has a nice atmosphere. The menu has a lot of options to choose from. I decided to try there popular drink of Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea with 75% sugar & not popular drink of Red Bean Boba Milk Tea with 75% sugar. At the register it says "No Cash! Sorry!". I asked what was the reason and the employee seemed unsure but guess that it could be due to efficiency or possible cash shortage. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea tasted good and the boba was soft and chewy while Red Bean Boba Milk Tea tasted a little bland to me which I end up didn't finish the drink. I personally wouldn't come back here again due to not giving me options to pay in cash. What if I didn't have my credit card and only had cash so I can't go buy a drink due to not accepting cash. Also, the price is a bit pricier and the taste was alright. It's cheaper going to Tpumps, which is down the street, and the drinks taste better. read more

This location had their grand opening this past weekend (Mother's Day weekend). Because of their buy one get one free special, my husband and I decided to drive out here to take advantage of this deal. We arrived on Sunday and waited in line and were able to make our order around 8:35 pm. We waited 17 minutes for our drink but understand the wait since they are new (although I know that there were several people ahead of us who ordered more than 2 teas which takes time). We ended up ordering: Strawberry Jasmine Tea, $5.95- My husband had his drink the next day since it was a bit too late to have tea. My husband told me that his tea was over steeps which is a disappointment. The sweetness level of 50% was just fine though. Sunright Fruit Tea, $5.95- I really like Sunright's signature fruit tea and am glad my drink was just as good as it was at the other locations that I gone to previously (Sunright Tea is probably one of my top favorite tea houses). My drink with the 50% sweetness level was just fine for me and I had my drink made with no ice. This is by far the slowest sunright!! It took me over 30 minutes to get my drinks and I ordered online. Yet 3 parties who ordered in store for their drinks got it 15 min before me. They don't make the drinks in order they are received like they should. So upsetting! Never coming back to this one! Edit in response to reply: I got my drinks 10 min after the guaranteed time when placed online. I did tell them I was there but the employee told me that they had a 17 drink order before mine they were working on so I had to wait longer. It was obvious that they have one person doing the in-store orders and the other person doing mobile orders since I had nothing but time to watch them make other parties drinks. I frequent the Chino and Rowland heights sunrights on a weekly basis and they are by far way more efficient, never waiting more that few minutes. This Sunright was recently opened here. It's a great location with easy to find parking. I was very surprised to find a full house when I went at about 7:30 pm to get a boba drink. The self-checkout kiosks by the door needed a code so I had to purchase at the counter instead. They need to get this working! Interior looks very nice with indoor seating. I've had Sunright in Pasadena before and the tea here didn't taste the same. I would not order the crème brûlée oat milk tea again since it tasted watered down and weak, but when I got the grapefruit tea the second time I went, it was pretty good. Came here on a weekend. We were greeted with a smile. We had so many questions. The staff were super helpful, not to mention fast. The ambiance was super clean, cheery because of the yellow, and bright. Cleanliness is huge! We ordered the Sunright Fruit Tea with Cream Cheese Foam 8/10 and a Matcha Frostie with no Red Bean 9/10. If you have ever been to Omomo, the Matcha Frostie is comparable, it's also closer than Chino Hills! We typically like lower sweetness, it is so important that the Boba shops give you the flexibility to adjust sweet levels. I made the mistake of putting the cream cheese foam in my drink, I just love it, but it watered down and didn't look appealing. I popped by here before work one day cause I wanted to try it out! The layout of this place was unique with the large bar and the self serve menu towards the entrance. The decor on the wall was eye catching and a great pop of color. I was greeted by everyone when I first walked in and even though there was a preference for the self service, I was assisted with my order to know all the options. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was different dairy free options of milk!!! I love Oatmilk, especially with my matcha, so when I found out it wasn't just non-dairy creamer I was sold. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte which is a usual for me. However; the strawberry jam at the bottom at the cup was sooo fresh and layered really nicely. This review has been a long time coming but got to give some love to Sunright Tea Studio. No matter which city you go to... the drinks, the vibe and service are all consistent. Upon entering, workers usually greet with a hello and welcome. The store is super clean and ordering is easy and simple with a virtual ordering kiosk system near the front door. The drinks shown below that I will be reviewing are the Oolong Brûlée Oat Latte (w/ Honey Boba), Watermelon Frostie, and Strawberry Jasmine Tea (w/ Grass Jelly). The drinks also came with cool anime stickers. Oolong Brûlée Oat Latte: Amazing! It's insane to think that this drink doesn't have any dairy yet still tastes like it does. Usually with oat beverage drinks there's a slight distinction but I could not tell with this one. The honey boba could have been better. I usually like my boba a bit on the warmer and moist side. This honey boba was a bit firm (not rock solid but more firm than I'd like). Regardless of the boba itself falling short. Highly recommend this drink! Watermelon Frostie: Context, I've had the Peach and Mango Frostie (both which I recommend) from here so I wanted to try their new Watermelon Frostie. The Watermelon Frostie is exactly what you expect; it's refreshing and has a natural sweet taste from blended watermelon. If you are more of refreshing than sweet tooth drinker, I'd recommend this over Peach and Mango Frosties. Nonetheless, all the frosties are spot on! Strawberry Jasmine Tea: the drink had a base of jasmine tea which tasted very earthy yet had a splash of flavor with the strawberries! The blend of jasmine tea and strawberries comes together in a great balance. The grass jelly was standard and no additional comments there. Overall, the Sunright Tea Studio seems to not ever miss a beat and maintains as a go-to boba place! This is my new favorite place to spend a couple of hours in Upland. I really like this place because they have DELICIOUS drinks; friendly people at the counter; easy ordering at kiosks on wall that gives descriptions and pictures of all the many options; customizable sweetness options; tables that actually have a bit of space between them (ie doesn't feel crowded or closed in) and each has an outlet on the wall near them; a high ceiling with lots of light, an encrypted guest WiFi AND yellow (my favorite color) everywhere! It is not 'cozy' but I think that's better for my taste and productivity. I think it is a really is a great place to chill, chat and/or do some work. read more

4/15/2023 - My boyfriend ordered the strawberry yakult and I ordered the boba milk tea. The strawberry yakult was amazing, but the milk tea had no flavor whatsoever :( The only thing that saved it was the boba, which was actually really good! I think they might have forgotten to sweeten my drink despite my request for 100% sweetness. It's still their soft opening, so will definitely give them another try! The shop itself is huge and very clean. Edit: We've gone back twice now and both times were good! We both got the strawberry yakult the second time around and again, it was amazing. On our third visit, my bf got the boba milk tea and I got the oreo brûlée. Happy to report his milk tea had flavor and my brûlée was delicious af.
