Two To Mango with no ice
Linh Y.

I came here to get a couple boba drinks. One for my Mom and one for me. Upon walking up to the front counter, it had a sign that says please place order at Noodle World Jr which is to the left of Boba World. I guess they share the same space and wanted to use one register for both places. It's all good. It's actually quite common nowadays for food restuarants to share a common cooking space. Prior to walking over to Noodle World Jr, I looked at Boba World's menu. They have tea drinks, smoothies, and sides. I have decided. Now I've walked over... Staff was okay. Ordering was quick. I ordered 1 Two To Mango with no ice and 1 Black Milk Tea with boba and no ice. We don't like our drinks watered down after a while, hence, the no ice. On the counter, they specifically have a sample cup displayed with a line drawn where the liquid will be filled up to if your drink is with no ice. At least they are transparent and they want you to be aware of it... I'll give them that LOL. It is literally almost 1.5 inches taken off from the top down. That's a bummer! Well, they either knock off the inches or charge you more for no ice. I've seen both at other boba shops. Anyway, got my drinks fairly quickly. There were straws on the counter, but no napkins so I had to ask for the latter. I like my mango tea drink. It had really good mango and tea flavor. My Mom liked her black milk tea drink. No compliants in taste. My only gripe is the no ice thing, hence, 3 stars. Sometimes I wonder how much they really save by doing that. Oh well. Honestly, I rather they set the price a little bit higher regardless of with or without ice so I don't know about it. Will I be back here? I don't know yet. The verdict is still in deliberation LOL.

This place is inside the Montclair Plaza Mall in Montclair California. We came for bobas but they also have noodles and other small side dishes. We have only tried their delicious Boba! When u order the boba you get a cool plastic cup as a souvenir that you can use it again and again! They have a big area for you to sit and enjoy your noodles and your boba and them go back shopping We will definitely come back to this place for some more Day of visit; May 2021

The drinks were amazing! The service was great and we got our drinks fast. The boba comes in a little plastic jar that you can take home, wash, and reuse. Would come again to get a nice, cold drink on a hot summer day.

Oreo whirl w. Boba and mango black tea

Order at the same line as Noodle world. Pretty decent boba drinks and tea. The oreo whirl is an icy but it has really good flavors and the boba was cooked perfectly. The mango black tea was refreshing and it wasn't too sweet.

First of all, how cute are these reusable cups!? I had stopped by the mall food court for lunch, and of course had to get boba. I ended up getting the Vietnamese Iced Coffee (my first time trying) with boba, and it was really good! Kinda makes me wish I had a boba spot at my mall when I was growing up.

Thai Tea Boba

Everything considered, this place comes out alright. I got a thai tea and added boba and paid a total of $6.31.. I'm no thai tea boba expert or anything but this definitely seems a bit high. Maybe they try to justify the price with an eye-catching reusable plastic bottle, but I'd rather save a bit of money and the environment than take yet another reusable plastic bottle home and put it into my already overstuffed kitchen cabinets. The thai tea definitely tasted good, although it was a bit too sugary for my taste. Adding boba was the way to go and made the sweetness a little more bearable to get through. The staff were nice, and even when they were pretty busy they were still able to get through the orders at a reasonable pace. Although the drink was decently good, I don't think I'd come back for that price of tea again.

The taste is too artificially sweet and boba is overcooked.

I don't like the taste. Been having boba drink in many different places, this was one of the worst. I ordered a Matcha milk tea with boba, the taste is too artificial. Boba is overcooked. And they don't have a sweetness or ice level. I guess the matcha was pre flavored and that's why they don't offer to choose sweetness level. In general, I don't like the taste at all, it feels like I'm drinking a cup of sugar...

ugh their lychee was straight up bitter -_-' and notice how crooked those labels are!!

Boba World is connected to Noodle World and they are located side by side in the newly redesigned Montclair Plaza food court. My friend was visiting from out of town and they somehow found themselves in Montclair Plaza so I agreed to meet them up for quick boba. There was not a long line and they had special Boba World bottles for your beverages. I wish they just bought bottles that already had the label because I could tell that the "Boba World" stickers were randomly stuck on. Each label was stuck on at a different place... which is fine... if it wasn't so irritatingly crooked. As for the beverages, they are slightly higher priced than the boba places in the area probably because of the silly bottle I don't care too much for. It is not even a cute bottle. My friend had the Pretty in Peach ($4.50) with boba (+$0.50) and my other friend and I both had the Bruce Lychee ($4.50) less sweetened since Lychee is a sweet ingredient to begin with. Considering they weren't even busy, the drinks took forever. The wait was not worth what we got. The Bruce Lychee is a lychee peach tea with lychee and peach bits. Those are both flavors that I love. I don't know how they messed it up. The tea part was "just okay" but my lychee bits were BITTER. They need to use fresh lychee or something because I have not had this bitter lychee problem at any other boba shops before. A few years ago I might even say they are average relative to an area that does not have boba... however... Tpumps in Upland have raised the standards in this area. Tpumps has a better selection of beverages to choose from and the prices are more reasonable too. I really see no reason to come back to Boba World. I really think I would have been better off getting some lemonade at Auntie Anne's nearby.

Thai tea on the left and Vietnamese coffee on the left!

Tried Boba World for the first time this past weekend. They recently opened in the newly renovated food court at Montclair Plaza Mall so they may still be getting everything right. When we visited there was no line so we were able to order right away. The gentlemen taking orders was very friendly. Something I kind of wanted to point out is this place is NOT like a typical Boba place, they mainly serve tea's. No snow bubbles or juices like a standard Boba store would. So I opted for the Thai tea. Their drinks are served in jars, pretty cute. I assume they're trying to keep a "trendy" appeal. As for the taste. It was SUPER sweet. I'm not sure what kind of tea they use but it had a strange after taste. I wouldn't mind trying some of their other items next time. Maybe it won't be as sugary as the Thai tea.

Thai Tea w/ boba in a to-go friendly container!

When it's boba o'clock and you're in the middle of the mall.. look no further! Conveniently located in the middle of the Montclair Plaza, in the food court, ready to fulfill your boba cravings. Order at the ramen location and wait for your drink on the bar to the side under the "Boba World" sign. Got my drink within 5 minutes of ordering it. Need to head out immediately after? No worries, you get a reusable container with lid to help with that. Thai tea with boba rocked my world when I needed that pick-me-up in the middle of the day.

I really like what they have going on here! It's in the Moreno st. Market, inside Montclair Place. Their Taro Boba Smoothie is a must. Best one I've ever had!(I've tried a lot of them.) All their drink come inside a clever twist off cup! Their service was speedy, but the price is a little much. If they had a different cup and charged less, it'll be an easy 5 stars.

I went shopping with my mom at Montclair Plaza over the weekend. We went to check out the new Moreno Street Food Court upstairs and happened to see Boba World. We decided to grab a few drinks. I opted for the milk green tea and my mom got the lychee iced tea. I asked for a cup instead of the bottle which happened to be an extra $1. Somehow my mom got the bottle even though we both wanted cups. I don't think the cashier understood that. I hope I didn't get charged for it (since I declined my receipt), but both drinks were about $8 which is pretty pricey, considering it's just iced tea. We didn't even get boba. My milk green tea was good, but my mom's lychee iced tea was a tad too sweet. If I could ask for half sweet next time, I'd do that. We also ordered the mango sticky rice which was about $7.51 after tax. The mango sticky rice didn't have a printed price that I could tell but I didn't expect it to be that much. We also had to pick it up at the adjacent noodle place. It was a really good dessert though. The mango was perfectly ripe and the sticky rice had a nice texture to it. I really like how there are so many Asian fusion places popping up in the area now. I'm just not as excited about the pricing seeing as in OC, the prices aren't as high. But maybe that's because there's a lot of different boba places competing for your money in OC, so the prices are more reasonable.

I wanted to try somewhere new that's close to the mall and found this place with great reviews…read more It's in a plaza and the inside look really nice and clean. Me and my family decided to try the Thai Tea Crème with boba, Artisan Milk Tea, and Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea. The Thai Tea Crème was delicious and creamy. The boba was soft and chewy. The Peach Strawberry Fruit Tea was refreshing and wasn't super sweet compared to other places I had try. It was perfect. The Artisan Milk Tea was yummy. I definitely would order all these drinks again and would like to try something new too. Even my family loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Superficial observation: Without seeing a sign that says it's a boba place, when you look in it…read moredoesn't appear like it'd be a place that sells food or beverages. I'm not against minimalism, but IMHO the interior could use a few touches that draw you in from the sidewalk and indicate that there's boba tea and donuts. More seriously: I really dislike giving unflattering reviews for small businesses. In this case, I hope the business sees this and maybe makes improvements. But there were a few issues of cleanliness that had me nervous. And the coffee I ordered took almost 15 mins to come out and had a really unfortunately soapy aftertaste. Cleanliness: Minimalism can be look very chic, but if your chosen aesthetic is white and gold/chrome, you've got to keep it clean. This cafe needs a good deep clean. I was grossed out to see oil and dirt smudges on the backs and seats of the white leather chairs, like no one has wiped them down on a regular basis. The panel molding on the walls looks sleek and clean from far away, but once I sat down I could see a lot of dust. The counter where you pick up your order had a lot of dirt and remnants of spilled beverages at the base. The decor adjacent to the serving area was also really dusty. The chrome garbage bin could contribute to a modern, clean look but it looks grungy and sticky. It's the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness in the front of house that made me worry about what the prep areas might also look like. Beverages: I got an Americano and a mango fruit tea with lychee. The fruit tea was delicious and the lid and straw situation is actually unique and cute. That's where we're getting the two stars from. The Americano coffee on the other hand was really disappointing. For over five dollars, I was hoping for a good quality cup of joe. Despite it not being busy, it took nearly 15 mins before I was handed a coffee in a Christmas cup (it's April so maybe that should've been my sign that they've got Christmas cups bc no one likes the coffee?) that initially tasted ok, but then finished with a really soapy aftertaste. I had 3 different people taste it--everyone agreed it had a dish soap-like aftertaste that spoiled the coffee. Normally, I might ask for a do-over since it was pretty gross. But I didn't have another 10-15 mins to risk getting another soapy coffee. I seriously feel bad calling this place out. I wanted to like it! But at the very least I hope it inspires a deep clean and more care making sure they thoroughly rinse out coffee brewing equipment after washing it. Even if I'd only gotten the yummy mango fruit tea, the cleanliness issues still would've had me distressed. So two stars for now. Sorry!

It's not awful, but it tastes frugal. I arrived at Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) on Sunday (around 12:20PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. My immediate impression of the location's interior is "abandoned warehouse." There's cardboard boxes lying about; the lights are dim & gloomy; and the furniture & walls looked old and poorly maintained. There were no customers, other than myself. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment. If you're searching for affordability and a place to study/work, there's potential. 3.3 out of 5

The entrance is a little hard to spot as it's not like a typical store front, it's more of a hut, with straw walls that you need to identify to go in. The outdoors section is covered by an awning and the indoor tea-sipping area has deep set couch-like chairs. Several events are hosted here like poetry readings, and it's lovely to see the community that shows up here. The selection of tea is very fun to shop through--there are different sections like medicinal to mood-based teas (I've uploaded a few that I found quirky and delightful). You can buy a packet of the tea leaves, or find the flavor you want and then tell the counter who'll brew up a cup for you (hot or cold). My gripe here (and why I removed a star) is that they don't explain what the notes/composition of the tea are, and when I asked the server, he said he didn't know either (which felt odd given how expansive this tea shop is).
