I have long heard the legend of this place , and was finally able to get out to Rancho and check it out . Not only did it live up to the hype , it surpassed it ! Amazing decorum , very old school charm but without being campy or overtly kitschy. Warm yet elegant , fancy but not stuffy . Great fixtures , great booths . The food was great , the staff was great , our server Lynne was one of those waitresses that seems instantly familiar . One of the proprietors came to our table and made us feel welcome . The garden bar downstairs is sublime , you can go there for an amazing date night drink if you're not doing dinner . The food is old school steakhouse fair , but well done with quality ingredients. Also , if you go on weekends , there is a free roaming table magician . Go for a special night , or A drink and Desert to impress that special someone . My highest recommendation!

This place feels like stepping into an old-town resort where everyone is dressed up, live music is playing, and the whole atmosphere instantly puts you in a holiday mood. The decorations are beautiful and unique, making the restaurant feel more like a special getaway than just a dinner spot. Service was excellent throughout the night and the staff really helped create a warm, celebratory vibe. The filet mignon was cooked well and definitely one of the highlights. The shrimp bisque had good flavor but was a little too salty for my taste. Bread and pretzel were just so-so, nothing particularly memorable. Overall, this is a great place for celebrations, date nights, or special occasions if you enjoy live music, elegant ambience, and a festive atmosphere.

One of my most enjoyable dining experiences took place recently at The Magic Lamp Inn. I heard about this very special restaurant from a You Tube video with Charles Phoenix. The iconic magic lamp sign with the billowing flame is something you just don't see anymore. The hours of operation are limited (5pm -8:30 p.m.) but, don't let that stop you from visiting. Yes, there is a dress code but don't let that stop you either. Dining at the Magic Lamp is an experience so put on a dress shirt or nice dress. It's worth it. We arrived without prior planning or a reservation around 7:30 p.m. We had just left the Ontario Airport and decided to drop in. We were greeted very warmly and directed to the outdoor garden to enjoy the bar and comfortable surroundings. Within about 20 min our table was ready and we entered the lush, warm brandy and red surroundings. The jazz chanteuse serenaded the patrons and I became so relaxed. I imagine this is what fine dining was meant to be. Besides the drinks we enjoyed, we ordered the tequila pasta with shrimp, beet salad, and tuna tower. The pretzel bread was a definite highlight. The only thing that I was sorry about was that our meal ended. Plenty of parking out front. Enjoy your visit!

What a fantastic restaurant! From the ambience to the food everything was amazing. Magic table side and live music while you dine. Definitely a must try if you haven't ever been. Edward and Jocelyn were GREAT!!!

The food was delicious! The atmosphere inside was great, live singer made our dinner most enjoyable! And the service was top notch! And we absolutely LOVE the new MAGIC GARDENS area! It's towards the back and really brings the joy and specialness alive with the lights, statues, gardens and fountains. This new Magic Gardens bar area is the best area yet! Absolutely love it!

Why did it take so long to find this place?!? What a hidden gem with amazing vibes and good food. It's quite a trek from the OC but totally worth the drive!!! Came here on a Friday night after getting stuck behind a train that wouldn't move! But the hostess was just gracious and even scored us a great table just because it was date night. (Thank you!) The owner Edward even came by to make sure everyone was having a good time. (Nice touch)! They have live music- talk about real talent! We missed Frank Sinatra and Elvis but the female vocalist was amazing. Her voice was so soothing and beautiful. (Hot tip: They also have a magician on some nights!) Now for the food- yes kind of pricey but you're taking about dinner AND entertainment so totally worth it! Great portions and delish. We ordered the rib-bye and ended up taking half home. Perfectly charred and temp. Even the complimentary bread was tasty- hot and a nice crunch. Other delicious fixings included roasted mushrooms, loaded potatoes and Brussels sprouts. (Did we say we were hungry?!) Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Walked in the front doors of this restaurant and my jaw dropped! It was beautiful! The dim lighting, the ambiance, the music (ahhhh) .....and was wonderfully greeted right away. The service was excellent, my food was delicious and I can't wait to return for another fancy dinner night.

As a heads up, on Friday/Saturday there is the menu item for prime rib and also on these days a magician that walks around. Other days do not include this, so I didn't get to experience this. There is also a dress code but they weren't super strict for us! Staff was very friendly from the entrance and also our waiter. He was very nice including packaging our food for us and making sure we were taken care of even when there was a sides mix-up. There's live music routinely, and the ambiance is very unique. There are mannequins and stained glass windows and little decorations here and there. As for the food, I overall felt it was very reasonably priced and high quality. I tried 3 different steaks and thought the filet mignon and Porterhouse were great. I am typically a big NY strip person, but I thought the other two were better than the NY though it was still good. I believe the NY steak was just a little overcooked which may have contributed. Mushrooms were solid, the lobster mac was tasty, and the tuna tower was yummy. Overall, it's a hidden place that I have not heard much about. Given the thought and experience of it all, I really enjoyed the place and wouldn't mind coming back. Much prefer this steakhouse in the Inland Empire region than other places I have tried. Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5

If you are looking for old school in the IE look no further than The Magic Lamp. The food here is great, along with the service. I really like the location, along with the old school feel of the Magic Lamp. The service itself is great. The interior reminds me of The Smoke House in Burbank. The staff here is always welcoming, and friendly. A must for a celebration dinner, or just a dinner.

This place is pretty amazing for the decor to the serve to the food and entertainment! If you want to go somewhere for a special occasion then this is your place! I had the Chilean sea bass and it was so so perfect. For my side, I had the lobster Mac n cheese. It was so creamy and cheesy -loaded with chunks of lobster. It was just so heavenly. For dessert I had the pistachio cake! Let's just say I'd eat a whole one if I had the chance lol. Well friends, if you get that chance go! And if you do, I'll see you there!

Perfect restaurant for a bit of nostalgia! This steakhouse is amazing and to learn it's been around since 1955 I realize I've been missing out!! Amazing experience. It's dining at its finest, with top tier food, live music from singers like Frank Sinatra and Elvis! The night my friends and I went, Elvis entertained us all evening - such a good singer!! Food was as delicious, their bar is a trip down memory lane (fantastic espresso martini ) Special thanks to the manager Anna who helped me make a reservation for my party of 6 - I had been wanting to have dinner here for months and she made it happen! Don't wait - make the reservation and have a dining experience, not just dinner!! P.S. check out my video of their menu

Omg came here to celebrate my birthday and can I say this place screams old school elegance. Me and my girls all dressed vintage and romantic goth. Food was amazing and the ambience was on point. The cheese cake desert was delicious . I'm definitely coming back.

Giant baked potato, very good!

The REAL Route 66! If you love tradition and atmosphere... go! Only a few joints like this are left. The giant baked potato was amazing and the shrimp bisque was very good. Get the bird's milk dessert with coffee and heavy cream upon request. Walk back into a time of elegance and suave. Have a good time and cherish the moment. Amy, our server was perfect

I've been to Fogo many times, and this was the first time checking out Texas de Brazil, and I have to say, I think I like Texas De Brazil better! The meat service at the start of the dinner was admittedly slow for what looked like the entire restaurant, there was a solid 10-min where no meat was coming except for a chicken sausage. I think that is because they were cooking the meats, because soon after, a bunch of meat started coming out of the kitchen all at once. The quality of the meat was great! The salad bar I think is better than Fogo: I felt the veggies and salads tasted fresher and the area around the salad bar was cleaner. The cheese bread and plantains were amazing as well, much better than Fogo for sure. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and if I am craving Brazilian BBQ again, I'll head over here.

Unfortunately, they didn't even try. We were placed on the outdoor patio; there were 18 of us. First issue, they didn't set the tables for the correct number of people. Second issue, we had to beg and plead to have the gauchos serve us. They would come to the door, say who would like XXX, and if someone didn't immediately raise their hand, they would go back inside. Even if one of us raised our hand, they would not go around the entire table asking people if they would like to be served that meat. Third issue, my husband and I were served undercooked pork. They removed them from our plates immediately, and we never saw pork again. Fourth issue, if we requested a specific item, we would have to ask several times until someone served us our food. Fifth issue, they never brought out the accompanying items that are automatically served on the table, ie, cheese bread, mashed potatoes, bananas, etc. We would have to wait until our server came out to the patio and then request the items. They would NOT ask if anyone else at the table would care for anything. Sixth issue, they acted as if we were in drought conditions, asking for water was torture. We finally got up and brought over our own pitchers to the table. The seventh issue was that the busboys kept trying to take our plates away. Several times, one of us would have to grab our plate back. EIGHTH issue, when it was time for the cake, they brought us a steak knife to cut the cake, NO serving utensil, and saucers from coffee cups as our dessert plates. I asked for larger plates, and they brought us 11 HOT dinner plates. Just a reminder, there were 18 of us seated. You do the math; they certainly couldn't. I love Brazilian steakhouses, this one is almost the worst one I have been to, it comes in at a very close second. I would never return to this location. I felt sorry for the birthday girl. She was given ZERO love; they didn't even know who the birthday girl was. HORRIBLE representation for the Texas de Brazil franchise.

I had the BIEST PESTO and it was super flavorful. The ricotta drizzled with the spicy sauce was amazing. The broccolini was probably my favorite part. I don't drink alcohol, so I ordered still water and appreciated that it came in a glass bottle instead of plastic. The bathrooms also had a baby changing table, and the sinks are in a shared common area setup. Also, we were planning on going to Monaco's, but forgot it's Thursday...big deals on big pizza on Thursdays at Monaco's means big crowds. But it set our tastebuds into overdrive for savory Italian food. We should have guessed when we drove up and got a parking spot in front of an empty restaurant at 6 pm that it was going to be subpar, but we forged ahead anyway. We were greeting by a young man who kept referring to us, the two middle-aged women, as "you guys." Then asked if we had reservations...to an otherwise empty restaurant. The place was well decorated and light, though it was drafty and cold. And loud. Very loud for no one being there. The music, though a good playlist, was way too loud for such an echo chamber with nothing but hard surfaces to bounce off of. We weren't quite sure who our server was, but the young lady that took our order again referred to the two middle-aged women as "you guys." Ugh. Decent focaccia bread with dip arrived. It was OK, but cold. The food arrived in a decent timeframe, but the undercooked, starchy spaghetti was not quite warm enough. After asking three times for silverware, we finally got utensils, adding to the cooler temp of the food. So now that primary reason for a so-so review: The food was just OK. Not only was it not warm enough, but it was bland and lacked any presentation. Chicken Marsala had onions but no garlic, so it lacked depth. The Pomodoro was served with their standard marinara sauce, not pomodoro at all. Pomodoro should be a light and bright sauce with chunks of chrushed tomato, not bland marinara sauce that you would serve a seven year-old. The orchiete pasta were also undercooked...not quite al dente, not quite cooked. Lastly, there was some sort of photographer there. Part of the reason our food was cold is because he had to take multiple photos or our food from multiple angles. I could see the steam rising from it when it was being photographed, but the heat was dissipated by the time it arrived on our table. Without silverware. Then I noticed the photographer taking short videos while we were eating and we were part of the background. I prefer not to be photographed, especially by strangers. So this felt intrusive. Biest has potential, but it has a long way to go. Three things could help: 1. Train the staff not to refer to guests as "you guys." 2. Work on the preparation and presentation of the food. 3. Decrease the volume of the music. All it does is make people have to talk louder which adds to the cacophony. Oh, and don't make it look like you're photographing guests without their consent
