I wanted to do this review quickly after the recent visit here along with my wife. A while back we had tried making reservations for a different tea house in the area and after multiple attempts and them getting extremely rude with me over the phone, a quick search came across Coterie and I am glad it did. The staff here was extremely courteous and kind to us throughout. We had arrived 15 minutes prior to opening and were standing outside taking a few photos when the gentleman working here along with his wife popped out and greeted us. We informed them we had reservations and were early and despite them not yet being open, they asked that we came in and promptly seated us at our designated table and began the service. This was a great start for me as its so rare to find these moments. The team menu is a bit smaller than other tea rooms I have been to but the flavor options were diverse and they also had a large number of decaffeinated teas to choose from as well. Both my wife and I went with the Queen Sheila service which consisted of all the normal fare plus soup and salad. For my tea I went with the Dragonfruit Dream while my wife opted for the Marigold Hibiscus. Both teas were really good but my wife's did ten to be a bit on the sweeter side which she hadn't expected. We were quickly given scones along with cream and jam and I can say these were some of the better scones I have had. I am NOT a fan of scones as they are typically too flaky and dry but these were perfect and full of flavor. My wife also complimented the lady running the place on these as well as she too was pleasantly surprised by these. Both the soup and salad came out next and were absolutely delicious. My wife was a bit confused at first by one of these and almost made an oopsie but she quickly realized the error of her ways and remedied before disaster arose. I will not call her out for her mistake but it was funny and stressful at that moment. The rest of our tower came out shortly thereafter and consisted of an egg salad sandwich, a chicken salad sandwich, cucumber and cream cheese sandwich, a chocolate caramel brownie, a chocolate and raspberry cake as well as some fresh fruit. All of this was delicious as well. The pricing here for the highest tea service we received is $38 per person which was quite reasonable for everything we received. I would definitely come back here for another service. The staff was also very accommodating with any questions any patrons had as well. Please note that they do not offer gluten free or vegan options but vegetarian options are available for those who want it. This was a for sure win for me.

OMG Best Experience Ever! We came with our group and it was such a time! Very cute decor and the Tea's were super delicious you didn't even need sugar! The service was excellent all the teas and food were made by the owner she was so sweet. I definitely recommend this place and will be back again!

Great place to celebrate any special occasions! We had a wonderful time it felt like we were in our home. Host was very nice and kind the food was delicious and the tea was the best part. Definitely will be coming back.

Place was completely empty when I got there. And supposedly they were "completely" booked

This place is disappointing... I called allllll week to book a reservation and no one called back or even answered my phone call (number on Yelp). On the voice mail it clearly states to TEXT for reservations. After not getting any confirmation, I decided to walk in. The hours say 11am.. when I got there it was closed Sunday at that time. I came back at noon, and they finally opened.. mind you they had no clients.. I asked if they took walk ins and they said they were completely booked.. I let the man know that I had tried to make reservations all week and no one answered. I literally wanted to cry, since it was my friend special bday. They NEED to update whatever system they are following. This place would be more successful if they did. As a restaurant owner myself I would never want to turn away business because of lack of communication or incorrect hours.

I came just before Christmas with my daughter and we had a special time!! I think this is now my 6 th time here and planning to come back for sure! We loved the cranberry scones! The lunch is light not for those that are really hungry but satisfying and fresh! The service is great and always pleasant. The reservation process is the hardest part.

I have been here a few times and it is so absolutely enjoyable! I highly recommend visiting this tea house, enjoying a little glass of champagne, the sandwiches the scones and the tea as well as the owner is absolutely wonderful! Don't bypass this hidden gem!

What a lovely place with an even more lovely owner! My bestie and I are huge fans of tea houses, and she's had her eye on Coterie for some time now. Jeannette (the owner) had recently moved to this larger location, and my bestie was able to snag us a last-minute reservation. Most reservations require a minimum of 2 weeks out to book, and you text to request your date and time slot. Our tea date arrived and we were pleasantly greeted by Jeannette and her husband upon our arrival and were seated. The menu was presented to us in a book, which is a unique idea! We had fun going around the table seeing who had what novel. We ordered "The Coterie" ($29 per person) and "The Versailles" ($33 per person). Everything was DIVINE! We absolutely loved the yummy tea selection as well. Our top tea recommendations are the maple creme oolong and the sweet honey green tea. The tea room was decorated in an elegant manner and felt very relaxed. Jeannette came around and chatted with us, which was such a joy. She's an incredibly talented and kind woman and we're so happy we found and had the pleasure of enjoying her tea room. Highly recommend and we look forward to returning. Thanks, Jeannette, for a happy and memorable visit.

We had an amazing time there for my daughter's 17th birthday! They had a caramel macchiato coffee so of course, I had to try that. It was so good! Food was great and my favorite was the coconut lemon cake. Service was excellent! Love the husband and wife duo! The place is so cute inside and they have the funnest photo op! We can't wait to come back.

The pictures say it ALL!!!! This place truly takes you away to all things Paris and Beauty. Food, Service and Atmosphere all EXCELLENT.

Such a gem of a place! I had my babyshower here a few weeks ago. Jeanette, her husband and Stephanie are so sweet and made the planning process easy. My babyshower was beautiful and the afternoon tea theme was perfect. My guests loved the tea and all the yummy mini sandwiches, scones and desserts. The decor was/is stunning and their Photo Booth is the cutest! Thank you to Jeanette and Stephanie for all your help with my babyshower -- it was beautiful and I'll definitely be returning very soon!

This place always has excellent service and incredible tea selection. I find the quality of their tea better than Huntington and have liked all the options I have ordered so far. The place transports us with its beautiful decor and ambiance. My daughter loves this place!

If you are looking for a cozy, intimate tea room with deliciously yummy homemade food for some quiet reflection and heartfelt sharing--this is it. I love that the food is lovingly made according to the mood and inspiration in the moment with careful, meticulous thought and preparation. I spent some time living on a vintage main street on the East Coast and have been looking for that feeling again of slow, strolling nostalgia and gentle sentimentality here in Los Angeles. The attention to detail to everything is incredible and amazing. You really feel the emotion and the intention of the owner. My friend took me here and we had The Queen Sheila Tea, which was $38 per person. I'm not sure what I loved more--the rich, crumbly, yet silky and smooth scones or the melt-in-your-mouth toffee that I kept nibbling. Everything was very very good and we chose the tea with rose and vanilla and a caramel macchiato. So, if you need a moment to allow yourself to slow down and reflect and heal, I know you'll find it here. This tea room would also be great for a small private party to share those milestone moments.

Are children allowed? I would like to take my 3 and a half year old

I believe the minimum age is like 6 or 7. The thing is they have many pretty one of a kind and breakable cups and teapots. Also, it is not a very large place. So, it's not a place for young children that like to run around.

I've NEVER had Thai tea soft serve this good. It's light, creamy, not overly sweet, and doesn't taste fake--just smooth, legit goodness. Like if Thai tea and soft serve had a glow-up. And the toppings?? They understood the assignment. Coco jelly, cereal flakes, grass jelly, AND boba... it's giving texture, it's giving balance, it's giving "I need another one immediately." I finished mine and sat there like... should I? Because I might. Now let's address the boba. I usually don't even like boba (I said what I said), but theirs?? Warm, soft, perfectly chewy... borderline life-changing. Who am I?? The shop itself is a cute little hole-in-the-wall with a sweet, cozy vibe. Service was fast, friendly, and just good energy all around--no stress, no chaos, just vibes. I genuinely wish they had one closer to me because I would 100% be that person pulling up way too often. This was one of the most organized events I've been to. To start, the manager arrived around 8:30am to hand out tickets and ensure that there were no line cutters - even though the store didn't open until 12pm. That's super early considering most events don't hand out tickets until 1 hour or less before the start time. Around 11am, the manager came around and gave us drinks if we won a game. Options were tic tac toe, guess the Sunright drink, or boba trivia. I played and got the white peach oolong milk tea in a can, which was really generous. Shortly after, staff came around to take our orders outside the store so that they could begin prepping and shorten the wait time once we went in to pay. I ordered the special anniversary Upland lemon creamsicle drink and got the fragrant oolong milk tea with sunny jelly as my free drink for being the first 150. I also got to spin the wheel for purchasing the lemon creamsicle and got a white mug. The store is big with ample seating to enjoy your drinks and hang out. Nothing would matter if the drinks aren't good, but Sunright delivers consistent quality, and the lemon creamsicle drink was icy and refreshing on a hot day. It really did taste like a creamsicle. The drinks are always generous and filled to the top (even when you say less ice!) When I ask for less sweet, it's just what hits the spot. If you like smoothies, highly recommend the strawberry frostie (they use real strawberries and it is amazing). I also like the mango frostie - it tastes like a dessert and it includes jelly that is jasmine tea flavored! My previous favorite was the panda milk tea as they have 2 different types of boba and is so creamy and delicious. I like to try their new drinks and then end up with new favorites at the time depending on my mood. My brother in law loves the oreo milk tea with boba. The coffee oolong is also essential if you are a fan of coffee. It's a perfect mix for coffee or tea lovers. 100% highly recommend for everyone to try their drinks - their boba is always the perfect texture even if I have it next day. Their mochi waffles are also very addicting but best eaten fresh and right away while they are warm!
