first and foremost, I know that there's a Pandemic going on, however, I purchased a 50" Vizio T. V. from the store at a good price, but then after checking with the cable company and a Specialists, I found out that the product was "Defective". So, now I ordered a Samsung 55" Curved T. V. on September 2, 2020 and the item was supposed to be delivered between the 3rd and the 9th of this month. Well, here it is the 15th of the month and the item hasn't be delivered, and I've had to cancel the order to get a refund. I've even made Regular Everyday Items to be delivered and those items were Supposed to be delivered within two days, then comes to my house on "Two Different Day's". Walmart is now in the business of making "False Advertisement Claims, Deceiving Statements, and Selling Defective Items", that they know that is going to Breakdown within a Few Months. This Walmart is a great place for buying supplements. They keep the shelves stocked. You can easily find someone to help you . I wish they had more matching items in junior/women athletic wear and the lingerie section is a little messy but overall it is ok for my needs. Most people gravitate to the back to check out and more often than not they only have one checker so you have to practice your patience or check out on aisle 11 and walk to the back to exit if parked back there. I have ordered and had to come to get my items from a locker, there is a wait after you ring for assistance you might have to ring twice. read more

I went in this afternoon to buy a child's bicycle. After walking to electronics to ask for someone to unlock the bike, I waited 35 minutes to find someone to unlock it. While I waited, I phoned the store 3 times and they would page someone but no one came. I am so disappointed as it's only late October so I can't imagine how long I'll have to wait near the holidays! Went to get an oil change because it's Inexpensive and I'm on a budget. This is not my first bad experience and it's my own fault for going back here. Last time I waited in line for 20 mins with 5 people in front of me waiting for an oil change. When the guy In front of me got to the counter he was told "oh no we're not doing anymore oil changes". Ok well why not say that to all the people in line. Anyways today I go in to get my oil change. She says it shouldn't be to long only one car in front of me. Cut to two hours later they have to redo my paperwork cause they scanned the wrong code. O.k. whatever I want to go. I leave get in my car and guess what my car won't start. Oh then the guy tells me it was hard for them to start. But I drive it twice same day and had no problem and now my car won't turn over. So as soon as I go inside I'm told my battery had corrosion that's why they didn't check my battery but no one cared to tell me that. But they knew right off the bat. And they never reset my sensor for my oil change. The guy David was nice enough but I just feel really taken advantage of. It just seems strange to me with how much I drive my car and it's never had a problem starting and I feel like they did something to my battery. I kept my battery f*** their $12 core fee. I went in about a week ago to get some groceries for me and my kids. It's just me a single mom trying my best shopping with my little ones. Now I raised my kids to know better to not steal. Visited last Wednesday evening 5/19/21, I walked out of the door sometime around 8pm give or take. My shopping trip was fine the first 97% of the time I was in the store. However as I was leaving the Hispanic lady by the name of Maribel stops me and asks for my receipt. Unfortunately on this trip I had about 8 or bags and i had lazily tossed it in one of the bags, but unsure as to which. Normally I have no problem showing it as its no big deal to me, but I am well aware there is no Federal/State law, or county/city ordinance requiring a shopper to do so upon exit. Sam's and Costco ous a different story as it is not public shopping, it is membership. But again, WalMart in upland is in fact public shopping, so as out may be company policy that they request this, there is nothing to make you do so... Since it was after 8pm, I had yet to eat dinner, and due to a near death accident last summer, my compromised immune system as well as my plethora of medications I must take, makes this important for me not to go too long without a meal. So indeed I was truing to hurry home and I informed this lady: "I'm sorry Ma'am normally I have it handy, but tonight I tossed it in my bags, I'm in hurry and I don't know which one. Sorry about that". I was then told by this lady that I was breaking the law, and could actually be arrested for this. I smirked knowing well that that is completely untrue. And I informed her that it is not a law. Then she said well it's a requirement to shop here. I informed her again at that is incorrect that they may request it, but they cannot require it. They do not hold that Authority, nor do you. I said all these things 100% calmly and respectfully. I was been pelted with about two or three obscenities in Spanish oh, I guess assuming she didn't think I could understand them. But I think everybody does nowadays at least around here. One of the words was "p**dejo. I got upset then, mostly because although I hadn't done what she wanted I was polite and nice and even said sorry, I promise next time I won't forget. From there I asked her name several times and she continued to refuse to do so each time. (Which is company policy too, but she didn't follow that).. I forced to walk back around and she kept turning trying to hide her name tag. When she reached down to try and turn it around so I definitely couldn't see it, I then got a glance enough to read it. By this point she looked very worried. Most likely because she thought she was going to get away with using obscene language and calling a customer who'd just spent a little over 200 bucks In their store profane insults. Reaching somebody in WalMart who is in a level/position able to handle three situations is incredibly difficult. But I will continue to try. In the end it probably would've taken Just as long to find the receipt. But, any person who's willing to call a customer obscene names, would have been willing to do so eventually weather it was me or somebody else. You cemented in everything that is wrong with WalMart: unprofessional and unfriendly service- EVERY SINGLE TIME. It's bad enough that anyone that has the displeasure of entering the store has to encounter the "Creatures of WalMart" wouldn't you think? Now we get to be harassed over the phone. I called earlier today, to check if a product I saw was listed online, was also in the Upland store since I live in Claremont. "WHY WALMART?!?!?!" you must be asking? Well, I had 3 options... One, order the product from the company itself, and wait 3-4 weeks for shipping. Two, order it on Amazon for double the price, or three, buy it from WalMart. I thought since I live and work in Claremont, the logical/quickest/cheapest option would be WalMart (as loathesome as that is) so I could be on my merry way. I call WalMart in hopes that someone could confirm the item I wanted/needed was, indeed, there. Turns out Customer Service couldn't help me so she puts me on hold trying to find someone who can.... Fast forward to 15-20 mins. I hung up. I call back, only to again, be put on hold. Another 5 mins of that, frustrated, I hang up again and call back just wondering.... "Hey, it's a large store. There has to be ONE INDIVIDUAL that can look up a product for me so I don't waste time driving over there.... Can you please help me?" She instantly was a lot nicer and said she'd get her manager on the phone. NEAL THE MANAGER gets on and pretends to be Mr. Helpful when immediately after telling me, "Oh right away miss. Shopping at Walmart sometimes is a necessity. Nowadays saving money trumps over the moral issues I have with Walmart. Let's face it -- they have the best prices and affordable off-brands. However, this does not deter from the horrid customer service. I have shopped at this Walmart many times before. They have served me well in time of need and necessity, and last minute emergencies. I will give them that much. After last night, though, I may not ever return to this Walmart and just make the sacrifice to drive down to the Super Center in Chino. The corporate and store policy state the following regarding returns: Returns on items within 90 days of purchase with receipt excluding some electronics/appliances. There is nothing stating anything regarding fitness equipment, specifically bicycles. I bought a pair of bikes and seats for them in June. They worked great on the first bike ride. The next day my husband's back tire went flat. OK, no problem, right? It happens. We went ahead and bought a replacement tube and fixed it up. We took another bike ride (2nd since we bought them), and everything was great. We got home, put them away and called it a day. The following day when we decided we wanted to ride them again, we pull them from the garage and both of the back tires are flat on both bikes. Coincidence? I think not, considering we have not been off-roading and our bike rides have consisted of being on the street/bike trail (cement). The fact that both tires are having the same problem on the same exact tires, we decide that perhaps they are defective. We decided it was better if we return them and get back the $200 we spent on them. We went in with our receipt, within the 90 day period, with everything intact as we had purchased it (excluding the two back tires which were deflated from the defect). Suddenly the woman at the customer service line turns to a manager and discusses something quietly. I sit there, just waiting for my refund, and a tall guy in a white shirt comes over and says they don't accept refunds on bikes. What? Wait, what the hell? He continues to explain that the store manager (NOT CORPORATE) implemented a "store policy" to not accept bikes in returns. It didn't matter if they were defective or not, they simply did not accept returns on bikes. No where was it stated that this was a policy. Exclusions were on electronics and appliances, NOT bicycles. I argued, and requested to speak to a manager. I was referred to a very unprofessional assistant manager. In the next hour, we argued (with the assistant manager) that there was no such policy stated anywhere, and that with my receipt within the 90 days I was in the full right to return defective items. They refused and refused. When I requested that I see legal documentations stating this policy, the assistant manager by the name of Michael stated, "I don't have time for that. I'm wasting my time here already." I kid you not, this is what he said. Which led me to believe that there was NO LEGAL CORPORATE POLICY which refused the return of bikes. Unreal. After arguing with this ignorant, incoherent and ridiculously arrogant manager for over 40 minutes, he simply turned around and said, "I'm not talking to you anymore," and left, calling security on us. They refused service and pretty much kicked us out. I have since then reported them to corporate, their District Manager, and I will continue to take all necessary steps to make them realize what they did to us was illegal and in violation of corporate policies. read more

I like shopping with carnies just as much as the next person, but sometimes you just have to say enough is enough and choose to spend your money at a place that actually deserves your business. First off, the store and parking lot is chaotic and the aisles are filled with customers that seem to feel that it's their entitlement to fill up as much space as possible without regard for others. I just wanted to buy an item that happened to be behind a locked display. It took forever to find someone to help me, but said person wasn't trusted enough to have a key, so she had to find someone else. It turns out this trusted person happened to be one of the check out people who had a line of people to help. I didn't feel like starting a riot by having the checker leave her line to help me, so I left. Seriously, Wal Mart, I know you are trying to squeeze out every penny of profit, but either staff your store adequately, or staff it with people you can trust. I ended up buying my product at Target for EXACTLY the same price it would have been at Wal Mart, and I didn't feel like wanting to shower right afterwards. read more

To think I actually believe I had seen it all. The last time I stepped into this store and saw an employee fanning a towel over an area of a newly mopped floor, I actually did a double take. Stupefied, I stood there for about half a minute in disbelief. Had someone instructed this guy to actually dry the floor using manually generated air currents? I have often wondered what it would be like to go into a Wal-Mart on an acid trip. Then again, is the acid really necessary? I realized I may have a few screws loose when I decided I needed some workout gear at ten thirty pm. So I rode my bicycle to Wal-Mart. Sitting not only on the bike rack but somehow sitting in the bike rack was a crazy looking bum fights candidate. I rode right passed him and locked my bike onto the cart rails in the parking lot. The reviews on here are spot-on: the parking lot is nuts. It's sort of hilly. Like rolling mounds or something. Bumpy. And it isn't mapped out right. Cant really explain it, it's something you just have to experience for yourself. After reading about how this Wal-Mart is the quintessential gem of all Wal-Mart's, these reviewer's nailed it. A good, sweeping majority of the pics of the trailer/hobo/morbidly obese pant droppers on the people Wal-Mart website are taken at this Wal-Mart. Guaranteed. I was seriously getting chased by two workers with floor shine machines for about fifteen mins. Every time I turned around they were coming right at me. Changed aisles, here they come. And they're staring at me, too. Making eye contact. It was a bit blood- thirsty zombiesque. I couldn't even smell more than three different candles before I nearly got mowed down. Grab your sense of adventure and pop a Xanax! THIS Walmart IS the EPITOME of the Walmart experience. It's everything you have come to know and despise about Walmart and more. The parking lot is always full, carts strewn everywhere, the occasional meth addict wandering aimlessly around looking for change or a ride to the park. If you park at the entrance near the garden section, you can avoid getting besieged at the front entrance by people wanting money, signatures or just "a little of your time". Enter and you immediately feel that you have stumbled into the Zombie Apocalypse. Smell the fear, desperation and broken dreams and gaze upon the desolation that IS Walmart. The aisles are literally overflowing with people who cannot seem to grasp the concept that by planting themselves directly in the middle of the aisle no one else can pass and who do not seem to understand the words "excuse me" or of they do, they are highly offended that you would dare to ask them to move (because, as we all know, if you are standing in an aisle, it automatically becomes yours and yours alone.) Usually these people are accompanied by one or more screaming children, who are touching any and everything that they can get their hands on as they simultaneously run up and down said aisle. Their oblivious parents stare blankly at the shelves trying to decide between Great Value or Scott Tissue. The shelves are rarely well stocked. If you go there with a list of 5 or 10 items, expect to leave without at least 2 of those things because they will simply be out of stock...forever and ever and ever. Once you complete your shopping, you can anticipate a nice, long wait in line, no matter what time of the day or night you come in. You may want to bring along your copy of War and Peace to read. The same holds true if you have to visit customer (Dis)Service. Whatever it is you have to return or exchange, you might just want to consider eating the cost and picking up a new one at Target, so that your blood pressure and sanity stay in check. Not sure why so many low reviews, this place is packed all the time. Anyways, I live in RC, but drive to this wal-mart. I have shopped here for over 10 years. I agree that this place can be messy, a pain to get in and out of. But I come for the selection of merchandise and the fair prices. It really is hard to beat. Everything from cleaners, food and toiletries. I buy its all. One piece of advise I can give is park outside of then garden center entrance. I always park in the first row, just off Foothill. I get in and out pretty quick and can pull back onto Foothill at the exit near McDonalds. Never a busy exit. read more

Let's be honest. This is Walmart. It doesn't matter how dirty, stinky or outright disgusting a Walmart is, and the men's bathroom smells like it was mopped with a pee soaked mop by the way, because we will continue to flock to their low, low priced items. What ever happened to taking pride of ownership? People go out of their ways in their personal lives to square themselves away and make sure their pumped kicks are nice and clean, and that they're dressed to the tees, but can't remember to iron their uniform or pay the same attention to detail in themselves while dressed for work. If you can avoid this place do so like the plague. lol My husband, 3 yr old and I stopped by this location for THREE items. We figured it would be a quick stop - WRONG. It's Sunday 5:30pm the only register they have open is the 10 items or less lane. There were 2 transactions prior to us that took 20 mins. There was a ridiculous line no supervisor in site. When they finally opened a regular line they didn't bother to assist the people in line already. Instead they grabbed random people to ring up. We got to the front of the line finally and my husband (who was paying for the transaction) wanted to purchase a tobacco product. The female associate (purposely had her name badge backwards) asked for his id. He gave it to her. She then insisted I give my Id too. LOL right away I asked when this policy was implemented she said "its always been like that". I informed her I used to work for Walmart (a good decade ago) and that's not true. She insisted that was true. It wasn't. When buying tobacco or alcohol products the system ask for an birthdate on the id . The associate can either key in the birthdate or swipe the id on the keyboard to validate the transaction. There's nowhere to input two birthdays and it simply isn't logical to Id the whole party when one person of age is making the purchase for age restricted items. Btw I'm 32 yrs old.. so me looking under 18 wasn't even it. It's obvious this cashier was just trying to give us a hard time. Why when there were a good ten people in line behind my family? I have no clue. I rather shop at target where they train their employees to be customer services oriented and they treat their customers with respect. The Walmart itself is actually pretty cool; it's on the bigger end with a HUGE selection of frozen food. The office supplies section is easily triple the size of the Walmart in Moreno Valley, which is good because every time I used to go for supplies they didn't have what I needed. This location includes a sporting goods section, pet section (with fish!), car care (tires, oil changes, batteries etc.), electronics, McDonalds (which doesn't carry soft serve, wtf!), and a photocenter. Like I said, pretty standard stuff. There certainly are better Walmarts to go to, but considering it's a Walmart you already know what to expect: sub par customer service, shoeless children, and spills on every other aisle. The plus side is, though, that this one has a self checkout! It means that you don't have to deal with the workers who seem to hate their lives so much that they can't even fake a smile. I should have written this review weeks ago because now I have waaay too much to write so in the interest of time and not wanting to bore anyone I'll keep it to a few issues. This is the absolute worst Walmart I have ever been in/dealt with/shopped in...you get the idea. And, I have been in Walmarts all across the country. We just moved to Upland from PA and drove across the country, so we have a good view of the landscape of Walmarts. It started with moldy cheese. I bought a big bag of cheese and realized once I got into it that the entire middle section of the bag was one big block of mold. Other problems include finding anyone at all to help. Not that I can blame the employees, Walmart has to be the worst employer but seriously, no one cares, no can even be found. During one visit even the mailman was looking for someone, came up to us and said have you seen anyone? We said, nope, but let us know if you find someone! The worst is how they've treated my kids. We've had a few things break upon contact, fishing poles, skateboards...literally first ride, first cast, etc - pole snaps, wheels fall off. So, they want to return them themselves, feeling their independence as teenagers. And, they paid for those items themselves with cash. I had them take pictures on their phones re: return policy, the item photo just in case. I even called before they went to verify return policy. Well, every time the kids have gone in without an adult they have been treated so unfairly...believe me I have harsher words but I'll refrain. The employees have all been rude and condescending. They have made them do things they definitely have never made me do - go back and find the item, refuse to accept as return, ignore them, tell them things like, "If I went to your yard sale and tried to return something why should you take it back? This is the same thing." Really? I don't think so. So, this time my son refused to take no for an answer and asked for a manager. This after they tried to give him less money, refused all together, laughed at him, ignored him. He stood his ground as a consumer and after being treated like a second class citizen...and a stupid teenager, they gave him his money back. We have had similar issues with the Walmart on Mountain Avenue in Ontario. We really try to teach our kids to be independent and to follow the rules and to treat people with respect. It's definitely been a learning experience for them to see adults acting this way. Disgusting. We will never shop at this Walmart again, and we have pledged as a family to never enter another Walmart. As consumers there are lots of options. These low prices for crappy products and even crappier service are not worth it. Things will not change if people keep putting up with this kind of customer "service"...service, what a joke. read more

I won't shop here anymore because of the way they have restructured the isles. There is now a section of 4-5 isles where there is only one way in and one way out. There is also a lady who inspects your cart for any items from this section and she makes you stop and pay for those items before you continue on with your shopping. Now I understand that this policy is most likely put in place due to a lot of theft, but this is so frustrating! My bank put a hold on my account for 3 days while they investigated for fraud due to the multiple transactions. Shopping at Walmart is no longer an option. I don't have 3 days to have my account put on hold because they can't come up with a better monitoring system for their inventory and theft issues. I'll drive the extra 7 min to Target where they don't treat every customer like a criminal and recommend you do the same. read more

Can't say it enough.... I hate Walmart, and I hate this Walmart in particular. Most of the customers are annoying. Most of the employees have given up on life. The store is in ruins for most of the time. The parking lot is straight out of Mad Max. I finally returned a coffee maker, so I never have to deal with that slow customer service line ever again, or even step foot in the store. Why doesn't the Target in Montclair ever have a line? I'll come here for my oil changes... I came on a Saturday afternoon once and there was only one car in front of me, already on the rack. Took only 40 minutes. read more

Shittiest store I've ever been to. Being stupid is a requirement to work here. Went in to buy a bottle of rum and waited literally 30 minutes for an employee with the key to the liqour cabinet. They called him/her 3 times over the speakers and never appeared. An employee walked by and I asked where I could find the manager. She just walked me through the store to customer care (which should be renamed to we dont give a shit) and acted like I never asked for the manager. Another dumb employee showed up (the one with the key) and after explaining my situation she said "but nobody called me"...No apology or anything. What a fucking asshole! read more

Meh....walmart. I brave this one because I can save about $6-8 on oil for my car, as my oil changes cost enough as is the savings is worth the risk to live and limb...just barley. I avoid the front entrance at all costs, not only because of the people asking for you to sign something or give money or buy some crap, but because if I used the front entrance then I would have to walk across the store to get my oil. If I use the garden entrance I just have to avoid the people at the garden area, walk down the back isle to the oil, grab and go. The garden area is a joke, the prices are no better then anywhere else, and the plants just don't look their best. I have had one positive experiences here, so that is why they are getting a 2 start rather then a 1 star. I had just moved back to the upland area and I need some supplies quick to finish off my move. I went to this store on a Saturday or Sunday morning right when they opened. All the crack heads where still sleeping and the screaming babies must of still be watching TV. The store was empty and actually semi organized. I walked in grabbed my few items, checked out and was on my way..... it was like shopping at a normal store!!! I do not consider myself a walk mart shopper, but when I use to drive around the country a lot I found walmart to be very easy to find and get what I needed. In all of the stores I went to this location stands out as one of the worst. If it was not located near lowes and the general area I frequent I would never go here. read more
