The last few weeks I have been impressed with how hard they are trying ( no help from corporate ) Joe is our 5 checker he always friendly n fast ! This Ralphs on Haven in Rancho Cucamonga is a horrific shopping experience. The store used to be better. Now, everything is locked up. They have even put the cleaning supplies behind a locked area where you have to pay separately from the rest of your purchases. Yesterday I was looking for batteries, only to find that the batteries are now locked up - this is in addition to the alcohol, etc. The store is not well maintained. The produce section had only 3 rather brownish heads of iceberg lettuce - in general, the produce section is dirty and not well maintained. To make matters worse, I don't believe any of the employees like their job - they are so unpleasant. This is my last visit to this location. read more

This Ralphs is a great location. The people who work here are always nice and polite. The store is always clean and you can tell they keep up with the look and displays. The food is usually always pretty fresh. They have a good organic section which I like, just a little over priced. The store its will turn off over half of it's lights after 9/10 pm I asked the lady and she said it's to "conserve" energy. Yeah, okay. But anywho, just be aware it looks like they are closed or are closing when most of the lights are off but they're not. Also the prices are way better here than Vons (right up Haven). The store was well organized, well stocked and clean! I think this is the best Ralphs I've ever been to. I'm short and wanted something high up. In no time, Jean helped me get the items. He said he had many more in the back and I was so happy. He brought them to my car personally! Wow! All the staff at this location are really personable as well. The location is so convenient, too. Today a person named Claudia was working the fish season department. I always call ahead and order the fish at different Ralphs. So we don't have to sit there for 15 minutes and wonder around a store.. she refused to, even though it was just a half a pound of tilapia. Then when I get there I asked for a half pound, it was short, but instead of just asking if it was ok she just moved on in life. Me being here and having her work was an inconvenience. I asked for aluminum pepper seasoning like I always do. She says nope they only have Cajun. That's funny. There's actually two kinds of seasoning there's Cajun and then the regular powder. And then they put the lemon seasoning on afterwards, but she refused. So now I guess I'm just gonna sit here for 15 minutes Waiting on a fish that not only his less weight than I wanted, but not season the way I wanted. I had ordered pick up from this location...this was the first time... usually go to Fontana...but I had just moved the day before and had to rush to work...reason I do pick up it makes life easier with three kids and a 50 hour work week....an item was missing from my order and the manager went above and beyond to make the situation right. Had to stop here very quickly to just get two items and as I'm waiting in line to check out the cashier seems very friendly, she's talking to the woman in front of me, she seems great. It's my turn now.. I Say hello with a smile. I got no hello back. I think to myself OK maybe she didn't hear me but then there's no conversation. Not even a friendly smile. All I get is an ugly look on her face with your total is Blah blah and here's your receipt. What did I do wrong to NOT receive the same customer service she was giving the lady just before me? is it because I'm younger than the lady before me? Or because I have a tattoo? Did I not smile nicely enough? I don't know but I'm hoping that April can do better with her customer service in the future and not be selective to who she gives great service to. read more

Convenient location and the prices are good. I don't shop much at Kroger owned stores anymore since there isn't one close to home, but I think I still get a small discount when using my rewards card. Lots of pumps and easy to get into and out of. What's sad though is that this gas station sits on top of where my childhood Blockbuster store was formerly located. Kind of weird to be pumping regular unleaded on top of where I browsed PS1 games back in 1999. The only reason I am marking this down is because the pumps are soooooo slow. I refilled my tank before dropping off my rental car and the pump took a ridiculously long amount of time. It's fine if you want to get a soda or something, but I had a time crunch before my flight. Bah. Anyway, I imagine this is a good place to get gas if you shop at Ralphs frequently and rack up the rewards points. But be prepared to sit for a while for those savings! read more

After hearing the fourth person groan over the meat prices Tonight, I have to make a comment here and I hope that it is received and acted upon. Note: some chicken and tri tip were well priced, on special for the week of 3/8/2023. The breads that Ralph's carry is kinda all over the place. Bimbo is a big supplier. Since they purchased the original owner of Oroweat, I quit buying it and I know I am not the only one. When they lessened the quality, that left the bread market wide open for higher quality products made by new and different suppliers. Ralph's house brand of frozen dough "Bakery" bread is sad. LaBrea Bakery brand is a good choice, but there seldom is ample supply for their most in demand products. The Simple Truth needs a stand alone in the bread aisle. Q u a l i t y is important. Now I'm here making bread..... Why can all the other stores have a twenty to thirty percent lower price than Ralph's? Does this store monitor the competition anymore? The staff is thin. I am a Los Angeles native and we used to shop at store #1. So, I can say I've seen some changes and growth for this chain. I'm not expecting anything to stay the same. The entire world is always in a state of flux. The store brands offer savings and the quality is comparable. The eggs and ground beef are way higher than every store I've been to. I am an accomplished home cook, and I have a great memory for prices. My background is in marketing- in general. Ha. You can hire me as a consultant because whoever you are using now are failing this chain. The store was pretty empty for a weekend-- which is a great shopping day. Especially for parents and the commuter. And sadly, your customers were mostly looking and passing on a lot. I wish you would see the tape and observe the same. Trader Joe's cage free eggs are $3.69 for brown ones. Your "deal " was $5.99 on Simple Truth (house brand) --And TJ is not expecting me to check and bag my own items. In regards to Joey the bald manager. I purchased 1 pound of ground beef. I took it home and opened it up, it smelt like rotting death. I drove back to the market approached Joey the bald manager and asked him to smell the meat. He smelled it and was noticeably disgusted. He immediately refunded my money. I asked him if he would give me a 10% discount on my next purchase to make up for my time and fuel wasted coming back to the store. He smiled and said well at least you didn't eat rotten meat. He did not apologize and he offered me no compensation on my purchase. In these times where fuel is expensive and food prices are through the roof I expect better treatment. This store used to be my go to store for all things others didn't have. But for the last 5 years or so this store is doing everything it can to shut down. And if that's what they want, then I'll help them along and never go there anymore. The latest tricks are to stop carrying a good selection of name brand items that were readily available. Example: Dryers Slow Churned Ice Cream. They used to carry a great selection. Now the have exactly 5 different flavors of vanilla. THAT'S IT for the slow churned Dryers. So go ahead and close your store. I'll do business with a REAL store that cares to stock popular items. The 2 stars are for the store and buyers. The checkout staff gets 5 stars. I am a regular Ralphs' shopper. I do know most employees work there. There are two cashiers have habit to over charging the costumers. If I notice, either they say sorry and refund my money or putting me down for arguing small amount of dollars. It happened very offen . I highly recommend the shoppers check your receipts. This store is pretty small and seems to have less options then say Albertsons, but is equivalent to Stater Brother's. The layout is a bit confusing in my opinion, but maybe it's just because I'm not used to this particular store. The produce always seems to be pretty top notch. As well as their meat & seafood sections. They usually always have what I am looking for. As far as customer service goes, I cannot tell you once how an employee made me feel welcome while I as shopping. I'm so used to stores, that if an employee is stocking produce, they will say hi and ask if I'm finding everything ok. I've gone off and on to this location and not once in any aisle have I ever been acknowledged. The cashiers are on the other hand usually are very friendly and communicative. Which I enjoy. It's nice to get a smile and and being asked how my day is, especially before I have a chance to ask them, which I always make a point to do at any store I go to. I also love that they have an affordable Ralph's gas station in the same center made even more affordable with Ralph's rewards points! Win win! read more

I've never had any problems here with lines in the evenings - which is surprising since it's only one pump deep and the lines are comparable to Costco and Sam's Club. The gas station is easy access in and out and super clean and well maintained. I can imagine if you came at a busy time it might be frustrating given the slightly awkward layout, but in general I feel like it be worth the effort and some wait to save so much money per gallon compared to the other gas stations nearby. read more

Mom gets preferential VIP treatment here at this Ralphs in Alta Loma. Mom loves to shop here and always wants to go by herself to shop and she is so independent even at 92 years old. I give her a couple minutes and I always sneak out of the car and check on her from a distance. This time I got a little closer and observed managers saying hi to my mom and some employees greeting my mom by her first name (Martha). How awesome these employees are, and always asking if mom got everything. From the managers and guy in the produce with perfect displays of produce to the gal pushing a broom and saying hi to my mom to Ray at checkout and the cartpushers thanks from the bottom of my heart. This is the cleanest grocery store I've ever seen and great customer service from everyone. read more

Today, my 13 year old son went into Ralph's to purchase a PlayStation gift card with his VISA gift card. The employee with the purple hair refused to let my son use his gift card and said he needed an ID, when my son tried to show him his school ID, he told him that he couldn't use it. My son has a picture of his Real ID on his phone and he tried to show him that and he said he couldn't use the picture. I went back and spoke to the employee and he stated that it asked for ID and he never seen that before. I used the same gift card with the same employee to buy beans and it went through. Did he think my son stole it and he didn't let him use it? Was it because he was a black boy? There isn't a gift card that requires an ID. He didn't ask me for ID when I used it. It is unacceptable to treat any paying customer like they are less than. My son was a paying customer. read more

One of the nicest employees Ralphs has!!! Went to another Ralphs earlier today and asked if they could check the back stock for an item I wanted unwrapped, they didn't. So I came to this Ralphs here on Haven and Baseline!! The customer service is excellent!! Johnathan was kind enough to check the back stock and bring me not 2 cases but 4 still wrapped cases of Kiwi Strawberry Ice drink I needed!!! He was so nice & helpful!! This Ralph's is a staple of Rancho Cucamonga. The whole neighborhood shops here and it's not terribly spacious it's packed with liquor, gift cards and everything in between. I've been able to find everything here I could think of except for fly paper. read more

First time at this Ralph's location, unfortunately it's the last time. Thanks to the white male working in the service deli today 04/17 at 1:30PM. I understand being short staffed, employees calling out leaving you by yourself, management unable to help, but you chose the wrong customer to give attitude. Express your frustration to management, don't take it out to customers. I knew this was going to be a bad experience as soon as we walked to the counter and the employee gave the customer before us a big eye roll as he was ordering. The same food has been sitting in the hot case since 10AM and still being served over 3 hours later. NOT OKAY. read more

Attendant left booth to empty trash knowing the gas pump was not printing receipts. I wondered why the person in front of me kept running back and forth to the booth after she was done pumping gas. Pump screen stated no receipts printing see attendant in booth. The attendant left the booth knowing I would have the same problem. When I asked him when he'll be returning so I could get a receipt, he said when he was done emptying the trash. I asked him how long that would be, and he said when he was done. Needless to say, he took his time in about 15 minutes later, he came back to the booth and took another 10 minutes to print me a receipt taking other customers in between. He could've avoided the frustration if he would put a note on that pump that the receipts were not printing, at least it would have given me a chance to switch pumps. This isn't the first time that the attendant has had an attitude, different person but same attitude not customer oriented. If he hates his job, they should change jobs. Since I always have Ralph's fuel points to use, I come here because the price is excellent. Too bad the service is not. read more

My number one place to go to fill up! Incredibly affordable gas prices in this fluctuating market, a pleasant attendant on sight, enough pumps to keep lines moving, and above all- NO ATM FEES (and you don't need to be a Ralph's card member to take advantage of the prices). In the early afternoon, during the week, there is usually a short wait time (10-20 minutes) before your turn at the pump. Weekends aren't actually all that bad either! I definitely recommend stretching your dollar and visiting this fuel center if you're in the area. read more

This review is for DOVEY! Not the store. The store is great, been coming to this Ralph's for years, never had any problems with anyone. Everyone that works there is pleasant and helpful. This lady should not be working with people. She has the worst attitude borderline psychotic. I'm not even kidding. I walk up to her line, smile and say "hi" she immediately has this ugly look on her face as if I did something wrong. I proceeded to put my groceries on the belt, no reaction, no "hi", nothing just an attitude the entire time. She's done ringing me up, she stands there doesn't give me the total or ask for my Ralph's card. Just plain rude, ugly attitude. She wouldn't bag my groceries and waited for someone else to come and do it. When clearly the girl was busy. The entire time she has this angry look. Then as I'm about to leave she looks at me with a very sinister almost psychotic smile and says, "bye, have a good day" She should not be working with people. There's something wrong with her. I did complain to others that work there and they said, "they've had problems with her" and "others have complained too" and apparently she just came back? She needs to go before Ralph's starts getting more complaints regarding her. Ralph's shouldn't be hiring people that are mentally unstable and can't give simple basic costumer service. Awful women!
