I visited this store's auto department on Tuesday, July 7th, around 11:00 AM to get routine maintenance for my 2015 Toyota Sienna: oil change and tire rotation. The female technician who helped me was a middle-aged woman with a heavier build, and she had an extremely poor service attitude. She was rude, impatient and dismissive the entire time. When I asked several normal questions about car maintenance, she answered coldly and reluctantly, showing unnecessary hostility toward me. Unfortunately, I left right after the service and did not keep the receipt, so I cannot provide the employee's name or transaction number. This unpleasant experience greatly disappointed me as a returning customer of Walmart Auto services. I request the store manager to conduct an internal check on the service standards of the Auto Center and reinforce staff training on basic customer manners. read more

So other than using the restroom and checking out the store, I did not make a purchase. Their bottom line won't be impacted by me going elsewhere but I don't want to support them for that when there are other Walmarts that do. Walmart Online Vs. Store Prices Lack of Clarity I checked out our closest Walmart on McKinney Ranch McKinney TX online to see if they had the batteries I needed for pickup. The price was $5+. I didn't order them because my spouse was picking up a prescription there so he could shop in store for them. The store rang them up for $13+. I then googled Walmart's corporate price match policy and what was listed at the VERY TOP of the results said they WOULD price match. When he returned them for the overcharge the store said they don't price match though they did this time. When I delved deeper into the corporate website it said they DON'T price match. The contradictory statement I originally googled apparently was old but it still topped the search results. read more

Going to Walmart used to be a nightmare for me. There were never any mobile carts available and if there were the batteries were dead. The people I saw using the cares didn't seem to be disabled, but I'm not going guess disabilities. I just wonder about teens racing around the store and playing with them. So walking all over the store became too difficult for me, then standing in line or having to struggle with self check out was a pain in the behind. I started ordering online and picking it up which increased the pleasure of getting what I need without the hassle of having to actually shop inside this big insane box. I have a number of items that I get monthly that are paid for with my insurance supplemental rewards card so I order online then pick them up outside without ever having to step foot inside. I usual buy some additional items not covered by my insurance card, like a bottle of wine. It always amuses me when the young kids that bring your items to the car ask me for my ID to prove that my 74 year old self is old enough to buy wine. They are always kind and helpful, load my stuff into the trunk and off to home I go. read more

I would like to say that my experience this morning at Walmart on Redbud really made my day. As I was shopping in the produce section I hear a load welcoming voice call each employee by name to tell them good morning. I yhen went over to him to let him know I really appreciated what he did for the employees. Being noticed out load in public by your store manager can make or break your day and I loved it. Have spent thousands $ here a this location tires mounting balance PURE STRESS their staff in AUTO is not there to help they take your money then a warranty issue you are screwed! Had a battery 1 yr warranty dated 5/25 their computer printed purchased 10/24 ? Well yes another battery same size purched 10/24. They would not see a battery made 5/25 could not be purchased 10/24 unless I time traveled? So went home removed 10/24 battery took to Mckinney Ranch Autoshop to show! They refused! Told to come back mgr Ronald Horton . Out of frustration wasting all that time and effort went to other Walmart on Redbud downtown Mckinney! They took battery tested BAD then read bar codes same reading 10/24? Strange sticker said 5/25 they asked my phone number ran my purchase history saw my story was true after showing the 10/24 battery in my trunk working good. ISSUED a REPLACEMENT all within 30 minutes! I guess I'll start with This use to be the nicest Wal-Mart in the neighborhood. I've lived in the McKinney area since 2008. My kids grew up at this Wal-Mart and Mcdonalds when it was still open. I've visited here a hand full of times. This Wal-Mart reminds me of the ghetto Wal-Marts in Laredo, Beaumont, Houston, Gulfport Mississippi and there's a few other that I know of. But when you around in the store and notice video games, paints, and baby formula being locked up you know your neighborhood is transitioning into or is freaking hood. Sad. I have good memories at this Wal-Mart. Two stars for one person greeting in an aisle. But restrooms are horrible, overall customer service is not good and you can tell it starts at the top. Management themselves are rarely seen and when their around they look miserable. read more

OMG!!!! They have gone to almost all self checkouts which is fine, but the employees stand over you as if you're the next Bonnie and Clyde! I gave them one star today and the employee that stood 5 feet from me watching my every "ding" gasped. I told her I'd have given them more stars if she hadn't hovered over me and literally treated me like a criminal. Unacceptable. I get that people might try to get away with not scanning an item, stealing, but when you assume that's EVERY customer, you need serious customer service training. Will never return and will share this with any and all that I know that goes there. ZERO stars for this location. read more

It's a Walmart Supercenter, what can you say? It's pretty big and has all the stuff a Walmart has. I come to this one the most because it is the closest one to our house. I get all my prescriptions here and have been for a number of years. The Pharmacy is great and the people working there have been terrific. I've had to call from time to time with questions and they have always been helpful. Just like most every other Walmart, it's open 24/7 and is very convenient if you need something in the middle of the night. I work until late at night, so it is always convenient for me. read more

Full disclosure, this review is for the grocery pick up. My niece swears by this, and I decided to give it a try. I built a grocery order online (browser) at 8:30 a.m., and even at that time, I had to choose a pickup time for the next day. Once you start an order via their website, you have three hours to finish it or they release your chosen pickup date/time. Their website was easier to use to build a grocery order than a grocery store I used in Arizona, so that's a big plus. I forgot the $10 off code, so I'll try to use it next time. Note that as of now, you cannot use gift cards to pay for these orders. That was annoying. Later I downloaded their app; after signing in, my order was there. You have a certain amount of time to make changes to the order if needed. Walmart emails you when it's time for you to "check in" -- you let them know what color your car is, and that you're on the way. The app even gives you a simple outlay of the store, pointing out where the grocery pick up area is. After pulling into a parking space, someone came out to confirm it was me. Then he and a colleague came out with my order and loaded it into the car. The app changes your order status to "picked up." I haven't been inside this Walmart yet, but I plan to use the grocery pick up service again. read more

Beware!! If you order clothing from the Walmart site more than half are shipped from China and the quality of fabric and construction are poor. Sizing is way off!! I'm very I'll after covid. I can't drive so I order online. I picked up a 100% cotton flowy T. So comfy with leggings and cut cut, flattering. I thought what I was ordering from Walmart and thought my last two online purchases would be similar in quality. One top looked like a heavy whit tied died shirt. It was 95% polyester. I went to this Walmart today to pick up tires that I ordered online & to have them installed on my car. When I walked in at 11AM, the AutoCenter desk told me that they had a standing 3-4HR backlog of cars/appts. I proceeded to set up an appt to come back @ 3PM to have my tires installed, in an effort to not waste 4 hours of time sitting around. When I came back @ 3PM, the guy at the service desk (John) told me that it'd be an approx. 45 min process to get my tires (2) replaced. While he wrote up my work order, another employee, who I believed was named Pete (short, older, heavier-set guy) stuck his head through the bay window & made a side comment about how I need to leave my car, because there were a bunch of cars in line. John attempted to correct him by saying that I had a 3PM appointment, so I wouldn't have to leave me car. Pete(?) kind of scoffed and walked off. Since it was only going to take about an hour, I decided to hang around while I my tires were being "serviced." During this time, I noticed Pete(?) also walking towards the interior of the store, away from the auto center. At that time, I drew no correlation from my observation. After walking around the store for about 40 min, I headed back to the waiting area of the AutoCenter. I noticed that my car was still not in a service bay. At ~1hr of wait time, the service guy approached me & told me that there had been some sort of scheduling change, & that there was only 1 Tire tech working.....and to my luck, that certified tire tech was Pete. HOWEVER, Pete had gone to lunch...which is probably why I saw him earlier walking away from the AutoCenter. The service desk guy proceeded to ask if I wanted to continue to wait for my tires to be serviced. Slightly irritated that none of this information was conveyed to me at any point earlier than in that moment, I answered by telling him that I would continue to wait, IF Pete was on his way back from lunch. After all, people still need to eat. The guy assured me that he should be, & so I waited..................................for another 30 min. At the 1.5hr mark, I went to see what the status of my work-order was. The original service desk guy had left, but there was a girl who had replaced his spot. I learned that my car was STILL not anywhere in the service bay, and that Pete was nowhere to be found. At this point, I asked to speak to a manager. When the manager arrived, I expressed my frustration, asking if it was typical for employees to have 1.5hr lunches. The manager on duty apologized, and indicated that it had just been "one of those days," that they had trouble getting people who would come to work, and then excused himself to go find Pete. When he came back, it was communicated to me that there were still TWO cars in front of me, despite my having a 3PM appointment, and it now being 4:40PM. Incredibly frustrated, I ended up cancelling my work-order, taking my tires, & leaving the store. I opted to not reschedule my appointment for the next day. This poorly operated AutoCenter should not be open for business. Employees are largely unprofessional, & seemingly poorly-supervised. A ridiculous waste of time to come here; don't bother. read more

i know it is a busy season, but I think it is wrong for cashiers to close their line when people had been waiting patiently for 10 minutes. she could have said something long before she did. I'm handicapped but have worked in a store before and would at least give people warning before turning them away that was in my line. read more

Most of the employees here are great up to and including Bobbie the manager. They have one big problem. Nobody ever answers the phone. The pharmacy is great about taking calls even if they have to ask you to be put on hold. At least they've acknowledged they know your waiting. I called the store though and the phone rang and rang for about 35 times. I was looking for lost and found and was told they would transfer me. I waited listening to the phone ring for 8 minutes. At least answer and say can you hold please. Their customer service is the worst. I hope Bobbie reads these. He's been a blessing for getting us older handicapped people new electric carts. Please retrain your customer service people sir. Answer the darn phone. read more

Typical Walmart with typical Walmart pros and cons. For a Sunday afternoon, the store was pretty clean and not crowded at all. It took us a good minute to find what we were looking for: travel-size bottles for soaps and stuff, but once we found it, they had a decent selection to choose from. 1 pitfall is they didn't have variety in the men's hair product section. My husband was looking for styling cream -- not gel, just normal freakin' cream -- and we spent 10 minutes trying to find it. They either didn't have it completely, it was out of stock, or it had poor reviews online so we settled for something else but it's like damn Walmart, you can have 1000 bottles in 1 aisle for my hair but dudes get 20 bottles on a shelf? Check out was a breeze. The cashier seemed happy to be alive so that was nice. Parking's a pain, but that's normal. Overall, a decent Walmart if I have to compare it to all of the ones I've been to. read more

Huge pain to get baby formula here. Not only does it take 5-10 minutes for someone to respond but 50% of the time they cannot figure out which key goes where. Last time i tried to get formula, it took four different associates to try different keys and no one could figure it out. Had to leave friustrated after wasting 20 minutes. They have a pretty good selection and otherwise no major complaints, just not worth the hastle if you need formula. read more

Horrible walmart. Had a very bad experience with a young employee at the self checkout last time. She did not want to help me at all. Today I checked out and all of a sudden an employee ( woman, name: clar***) jumped on me from the side she wants to see the receipt from the trees i had in my cart... she literally was standing right in my face... she did not stop yelling at me and when I told her my husband has the receipt, she yelled at him. Other customers around us saw that and were speechless too... hubby said he will not show her anything if she is that rude ... he asked for her name and she had the nerves to tell us that there are cameras and we will be seen! Great! We went straight to the customer service and complained about her.... Employee said we were not the only ones complaining... another customer came and said she was also rude to him when he had a question. Employee said manager is "on lunch break" ( at 6pm...?) and he will tell him. Not sure if he will. I'm on panic attack medication and she came at the wrong moment. As WalMarts go, this one is close to a 5 star, but there are a few dings. They're not always fully stocked (I've had to make an extra trip a number of times after shopping here), and it's not as squeaky clean as the benchmark store at Park and DNT in Plano (as I call it, the "hoity-toity WalMart"). The stocking issue is the most frustrating for sure, as is their corporate push to stock more of their Great Value store brand products over national brands (obviously not the fault of this store, though). The store has grocery on the right, pharmacy on the left; I prefer the ones where pharmacy and grocery are on the same side, but that's a nitpick. The pharmacy is not open 24 hours (I'm not sure any of them are any more), and customer service closes at 10:00PM. I almost always shop late at night when the aisles can be full of merchandise to be stocked, but the stockers, for the most part, are friendly and will move things to help you get by (very helpful as my wife is usually on a scooter). Gas and automotive services are also available here. read more

Placed a XMAS party supply for Groceries. Orders at 2 pm waited for my RESERVED time 7 to 8pm. At 7 pm the ONE and ONLY update was " DELAYED" NO reason. No items needed to be substituted. All were available. So at 930 pm STILL NO UPDATES?? called Customer service SEVERAL TIMES. imagine my surprise NO ANSWER!! left several messages. Used the online " chat" . NO HELP. Store is closing in 40 min. Still they find NOT important to call the customer that has been waiting now, FOUR HOURS , to say " hey, we can't make it"!!! I have tried TWO DIFFERNT STORES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS. BOTH WALMARTS have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.!! I paid for a monthly fee so I CAN get Groceries deliverd when I need them. My birthday is July 21. On Friday, July 19th, I went online and ordered a custom birthday cake for pickup on Saturday, July 20th, after 4:00 PM, for pickup at 5001 Mckinney Ranch Pkwy, Mckinney, TX 75070. The order was ¼ sheet cake, white cake, white buttercream frosting, red roses and read top and bottom borders. I ordered pineapple filling which I noted, you indicated it was not available at all stores and they would contact me if they didn't have the pineapple. And I was fine with that. I would have gladly selected one of you other options for filling. I went to pick the cake up at the Walmart location noted above and arrived at approximately 6:40 PM. When I arrived at the bakery counter the first could not find my order. Then the did find the order but there was no cake. Mind you my birthday was the following day and too late to get a cake anywhere else. I demanded to see a manager and I spoke with 2, Roxy and Regina. They could not find the cake and acknowledged that they had received the order in a timely manner. They called the cake decorator at home as she had left for the day. She was asked why she didn't not make the cake. The decorator stated we do no have pineapple filling. She was then asked why she did not contact the customer (me). The decorator stated, I was busy and didn't have time for that! So, she just didn't make the cake. Too busy and didn't apparently care how it might effect the customer. The managers did give me a premade cake from the case (no telling how old it was) and refunded the money I spent on the custom cake. However, it does not make up for the fact it was a special occasion and I was depending on Walmart for my custom cake. I've always told friends and acquaintances to get their special occasion cakes from Walmart because they are the best. Now mind you I realize that errors happen, but to just blatantly not make the cake, ruining my birthday, because you were busy is unacceptable. read more

There are nice Walmarts and there are gross Walmarts, but this one is just a middle of the road nothing special but gets the job done kind of store. It should be a 3-4 star review, but they have 2 annoying things going on. 1.) they have their people constantly stocking the shelves during the most popular hours, like lunch time. They block the aisles and expect you to move for them they won't move for you or ask if they're in your way. It seems like someone is in nearly every aisle too. Really slows down the shopping experience. Yes, things need to be replenished, but maybe don't do it when the store is hopping. 2.) They, like everyone else, have raised prices. That's just life right now, unfortunately. HOWEVER, they are not changing the tags on the shelves. I can't tell you how many items I have seen marked up on my receipt. Some are just a few cents, but others have been multiple dollars higher and quickly adds up. This has happened every time I have gone lately. And this isn't an oversight or a one or two days behind issue. I'm talking the same products for well over a month now. To make matters worse, I learned they know this is going on. They claim they are working on it, but again, it's been months. Unacceptable. I did once have a sweet stocker *insist* on looking in every single chip box in the back to try to find me some baked Ruffles when they were in a shortage and hard to find late last year. But he may have worked for Frito Lay or the delivery company, I'm not sure if he was an actual Walmart employee. read more
