This, in addition to their house "The Espresso" roast, a very nice medium roast that brings good development while still maintaining very nice fruit and floral notes in the cup. The standard milk drinks are available, of course, and for those who want the fancy drinks, they do have a modest menu of those, but to be clear, this place is really focused on making the most of great quality coffee beans without covering them up with sugar and crazy flavorings. Filtered also offers specialty pourovers, as well as bagged coffees, from these and other roasters, so one can bring the good stuff home as well. The baristas really know their craft, and are happy to offer recommendations and actual taste observations from their offerings. Seating is fairly plentiful and the decor is calming and low key, as is the lighting, so it's a very "namaste" experience, in addition to good coffee. They are incredibly welcoming and so entertaining to be around. I can always expect a great cup of coffee and a great conversation. When I was going through a difficult time, they made sure to check up on me every time I walked through the door and always allowed me to stay and work quietly in the background. Nothing beats the atmosphere of freshly roasted coffee and hearing great stories every visit. I have also done the coffee tour, which is very informative and also entertaining! If I had a choice, I wouldn't get coffee anywhere else.
