Yum! Yumm! Yummmmmmmm! These Empanadas. Oh boy what do i say to do them justice. I know let me complain. Oh Empanada a la Stefania, why for art thou so small? How i wish to bite thee, more and MOAR!!!!! Ok seriously, la review. Stefania's is a month old and being new, still sorting out their online order system. So when I tried to order, it showed nothing available. WTF I mumble as I called to inquire. I guess I have to speak to a person, so old school! The young lady who answered and took my order over the phone was really nice and polite. They rotate the fillings with 4 on tap each day (I think?) and I wager the Chicken and Beef are constants. I ordered one of each available, Gaucho (brisket), Humita (corn and cheese), beef and chicken. Each of them took me on a unique journey of flavors, from a uniquely flaky, pastry crust to the tasty, juicy fillings, it was little bites of delight. The chimmi churri sauce, was thick and coarse and so good. I gave bites to my wife and kids and they're planning on going tomorrow (without me sob sob). The Empanadas are small. That said about 3 filled me up with the 4th being food coma inducing. I wish they were bigger but then I probably wouldn't be able to try all 4 flavors so get two of something you really like. I also got the flan. It was really good. The restaurant itself is small but charming. The staff who I'm pretty sure were the owners, are awesome and so sweet. They also have a small selection of grocery/ snacky products. Im definitely going back and looking forward to trying the other flavors they have and thier sandwiches too. My whole fam loves empanadas and we're super hyped after trying today.

One word: delicious! We got some empanadas to go with chimichurri sauce and everything was so good! We tried the beef and chicken empanadas and they were a good size and totally stuffed with meat. At $4.50 a piece, they better be a good size and as full as possible, and they hit both marks! We can't wait to go back and eat inside the restaurant next time.

Absolutely wonderful find! Stefania's Empanadas is a family-owned Argentinian gem offering fast-casual, counter service with heart and flavor. We tried the chicken, beef, and gaucho empanadas -- each one was delightful, full of savory, well-balanced flavor with a touch of mild spice. The pastries were perfectly cooked -- crisp on the outside and tender inside. Don't forget to add their chimichurri -- it takes everything to the next level! They also offer espresso, yerba mate, and other interesting drinks, which round out the experience beautifully. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the ornate interior décor makes you feel as if you've been transported straight to Argentina. Highly recommend giving this place a try -- it's a true local treasure!

This is my first time here after seeing the video on Instagram. The staff is very nice and it's a cute little restaurant. Everything is made in house. We ordered three empanadas, beef, chicken and flank steak. For dessert we got the Chocotorta. The breading on the empanada is light and not heavily fried. It's more of a pastry bread vs deep fried. They did put raisins in the beef empanada. I liked it, but I felt the chicken tastes way better.

Being of Argentine decent and growing up eating homemade empanadas, chorpan's, sanguches de miga, milanesas and drinking mate my bar is set kind of high. Admittedly I've only tried their empanadas and alfajor's from Stefania but so far, so delicious. The empanadas are a bit smaller than I'm used to and I'm a fan of the whole olive rather than chopped up and a bit more egg but other than that the seasoning was on point. I was also impressed with the fact they weren't as oily as most empanadas are. My mom would fry some and bake some. I always preferred the taste of the fried ones but the baked ones are healthier. I feel Stefania's empanadas strikes a good balance between the two. Alfajors were really tasty as well. The food was on point so far and the service was spot on. I believe I met Stefania's son who was working behind the counter and he was quite welcoming and friendly. Stefania herself was there and very friendly and talkative. Also what impressed me was the presentation of everything. Even the empanadas to go are placed into these fancy to go boxes lined with branded tissue. This is an additional touch that goes above and beyond and really sets them apart from others. While they don't have much competition here in north Texas I grew up in SoCal which has many Argentine restaurants and grocery stores and even compared to them they set the bar here. Their store is also well stocked with traditional Argentine faire you can take home. I look forward to my next visit and trying out more of their menu items.

So excited that they have opened a store front and restaurant. The food is amazing and the restaurant is so cool on the inside. If you live in McKinney or Frisco this is a must checkout spot.

Looking for some delicious empanadas that will have you doing the happy food dance?? Look no further and please give Stefania's Empanadas a try. You can never go wrong with the chicken or ground beef which are traditional flavors. But if you are looking to step outside your food palette comfort zone, you must try the brisket (Gaucho). New flavors added daily and you can always get chicken and beef (unless they are sold out). All food is made with love and the staff is amazing, attentive, polite, engaging and super friendly. Great vibes from the moment you walk into this cute and cozy cafe-like venue. The owner is hands on, has excellent customer service, loves what she does and simply wants to bring a smile to your face with great, belly-filling delicious food! I'd highly recommend getting the dozen, that way you can try different ones and have some to share #newfoodspot #hiddengem

Located in unassuming part of Wylie/St.Paul the restaurant is smack down in the middle of the strip along other places I wanted to try. I ordered their Carne Frita con Arroz. Flavorful chunks of pork which came with fried banana, rice, and beans.. Even though I've never had an actual Puerto Rican food, I expected a whole lot of flavor just by reading about cuisine. I really enjoyed the carne frita and thought it is almost similar to lechon kawali (Filipino dish) but this much leaner part of the pig. Service was very friendly, they'll answer any question you might have especially if you are unfamiliar with the names of some of the dishes. This is a family ran business, you'll feel that upon walking in. Very homey and welcoming. You'll be transported to PR while dining here.

Now I'd be lying if I said I actually knew much about Puerto Rican food, or what to expect. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and quickly told to sit where we pleased. I didn't catch our servers name, but he was extremely helpful and recommended our drinks as well as some of the items on the menu. While checking out all the pictures of their food on Yelp, I kept seeing the Cod Fritter pop up! I told him I definitely wanted to try that, probably the best thing I had. We also had Carne Frita, Carne Pernil and a pair of empanadas, one meat and the other cheese. Everything we had was delicious. But their arroz con gandules made everything better. We can't wait to come back and try some of the other items on the menu...

The restaurant is clean and modern with a bright and welcoming aesthetic. The waitperson on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; she was not confident in her English but my Spanish and her English combined were enough that all of our food (even with change requests) came out exactly as ordered and cooked to perfection. If you don't speak Spanish, don't let this dissuade you, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what my non-Spanish companions wanted without my subpar linguistic assistance. She made fantastic recommendations and accurately told us that everything on the menu was good. The menu had a great variety from shawarma to empanadas. The waitperson was very good about proactively telling us what they were out of (only a couple of things--lasagna and soup). I don't think you can go wrong with anything you can choose. I ordered the Pepito with mushrooms and chicken. It was AMAZING. Perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. My husband ordered a cordon bleu and a fish empanada along with a pizza pastele. Our daughter ordered the Venezuelan take on chicken shawarma. They greatly enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the mini empanadas we shared (two pork, two beef, and two chicken is the default). I also savored every drop of my Especial Super Sandys cocktail. The only drawback to this place is it is right next to my work, so I'm going to be constantly ordering from here or hating myself for not doing so. Edited to add: They were open until 11pm on the Tuesday night we went; some places online erroneously state 6pm as closing time.

It's advertised as Venezuelan cuisine and we had no idea what that meant. However, we do enjoy empanadas and they listed them on their menu. We ordered several pasteles and 1 empanada. I'm not sure what the difference is....they're both like a hand-held fried pie. The E's are larger than the P's. The ground beef variety was our favorite....VERY good. The ham and cheese was the next best. The pizza flavor was OK, but wouldn't order it again. The chicken variety was our least favorite. The creamy cilantro dipping sauce was amazing!! The staff was very attentive. Prices are fair. We can't wait to have more of those flavorful ground beef empanadas and try the other varieties too.
