Came across this little gem next door to a spa & decided on a whim to try it out. Owner was super nice in explaining the concept & recommended the spinach avocado salad. Portion size is hefty & filling with two fistfuls of cheese. The arepa shell was nice, hot & crunchy. Business was pretty steady at 10AM & the bathroom walls are very encouraging. Will come back to try other items on the menu.

Food and hospitality are great! They catered an international night event for us and everyone was thrilled with the food. We had empanadas, tequenos, ans chicha. Very authentic!

Amazing Venezuelan flavor! If u have a chance and want. To try something different, come over and try the traditional Venezuelan breakfast! Ruxme it's an amazing server btw! (Only one recommendation, u should have your whole menu on English too )

Out of almost everything on menu, very overpriced, can't call on phone and barely speak English.

Super Sandy's is a hidden gem tucked away in Lewisville. Literally, you can't see it until you're…read morealmost at its parking (which there was plenty of when I went). The restaurant is clean and modern with a bright and welcoming aesthetic. The waitperson on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; she was not confident in her English but my Spanish and her English combined were enough that all of our food (even with change requests) came out exactly as ordered and cooked to perfection. If you don't speak Spanish, don't let this dissuade you, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what my non-Spanish companions wanted without my subpar linguistic assistance. She made fantastic recommendations and accurately told us that everything on the menu was good. The menu had a great variety from shawarma to empanadas. The waitperson was very good about proactively telling us what they were out of (only a couple of things--lasagna and soup). I don't think you can go wrong with anything you can choose. I ordered the Pepito with mushrooms and chicken. It was AMAZING. Perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. My husband ordered a cordon bleu and a fish empanada along with a pizza pastele. Our daughter ordered the Venezuelan take on chicken shawarma. They greatly enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the mini empanadas we shared (two pork, two beef, and two chicken is the default). I also savored every drop of my Especial Super Sandys cocktail. The only drawback to this place is it is right next to my work, so I'm going to be constantly ordering from here or hating myself for not doing so. Edited to add: They were open until 11pm on the Tuesday night we went; some places online erroneously state 6pm as closing time.

Incredible Food! Great service. Definitely coming back. Thank you!!…read more..................................,,....,..........

Stopped by Venezuelan Restaurant off a recommendation from D Magazine and our party of 3 adults and…read more1 child had a great time! We split one arepa blanco with picanha and two cachapa con queso de mano y nata, one with carne asada and one with chicharron. The meats were all great; the chicharron was fried super well and the fat was perfectly rendered. The picanha and carne asada both had an excellent char, and I'd say the picanha is more tender. We really enjoyed the slight sweetness of the cachapa paired with the queso, and we really liked the veggies and sauce in the arepa blanco. In the future I'd see if we could somehow get that sauce from the arepa blanco sandwich on the cachapa for the best of both worlds :) The baby in the group was a huge fan of the cachapa and cheese. The passion fruit juice I got was huge and not too sweet, which I enjoyed a lot! And the sweet plantains were an excellent side, soft and just slightly crisp on the outside. The potato salad was super interesting too; there was shredded chicken in it, so it was more of a chicken and potato salad, but very enjoyable regardless. It does kind of suck that there's no complementary tap water; you have to pay $2 for a bottle if you want water. But otherwise this is a great place if you're craving arepas or other Venezuelan style street food. Will def be back to try the rest of the menu!
