Fabulous Staff! Absolutely delicious Venezuelan restaurant! Highly recommend the shredded beef arepas!

Limited menu. Read the menu before you go. Bland táquenos. Tacos made with tough grisly meat. Disappointing.

The service continues to get worse, capped off by the last visit where I waited over an hour for Pollo Caracas, with virtually no one in the restaurant. I kept getting angrier by the minute. I kept being told 5 more minutes, on 5 different occasions. Finally, the owner ( came to the front, half-heartedly apologised, and cooked my food) The food has never been great, only convenient. I will never mess with this place again.

However, disappointing that at the end when paying by card, they did not allow us to see an itemized receipt, and the bill was higher than expected. After reading more reviews about this place, seems like this is common occurence unfortunately. Also, they INCLUDED TIP, which was not super apparent, and our party was less than 6 so unsure why a tip was included initially. Otherwise, the food was good and filling. The strawberry smoothie was not the best though, so would not get that again. the sweet plantains were great though. Although the food was good, I would not return because of the deceiving way that add a tip and do not allow customers to see itemized receipts.

The restaurant is clean and modern with a bright and welcoming aesthetic. The waitperson on staff was incredibly attentive and friendly; she was not confident in her English but my Spanish and her English combined were enough that all of our food (even with change requests) came out exactly as ordered and cooked to perfection. If you don't speak Spanish, don't let this dissuade you, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew exactly what my non-Spanish companions wanted without my subpar linguistic assistance. She made fantastic recommendations and accurately told us that everything on the menu was good. The menu had a great variety from shawarma to empanadas. The waitperson was very good about proactively telling us what they were out of (only a couple of things--lasagna and soup). I don't think you can go wrong with anything you can choose. I ordered the Pepito with mushrooms and chicken. It was AMAZING. Perfectly seasoned and so satisfying. My husband ordered a cordon bleu and a fish empanada along with a pizza pastele. Our daughter ordered the Venezuelan take on chicken shawarma. They greatly enjoyed their meals and we all enjoyed the mini empanadas we shared (two pork, two beef, and two chicken is the default). I also savored every drop of my Especial Super Sandys cocktail. The only drawback to this place is it is right next to my work, so I'm going to be constantly ordering from here or hating myself for not doing so. Edited to add: They were open until 11pm on the Tuesday night we went; some places online erroneously state 6pm as closing time.

It's advertised as Venezuelan cuisine and we had no idea what that meant. However, we do enjoy empanadas and they listed them on their menu. We ordered several pasteles and 1 empanada. I'm not sure what the difference is....they're both like a hand-held fried pie. The E's are larger than the P's. The ground beef variety was our favorite....VERY good. The ham and cheese was the next best. The pizza flavor was OK, but wouldn't order it again. The chicken variety was our least favorite. The creamy cilantro dipping sauce was amazing!! The staff was very attentive. Prices are fair. We can't wait to have more of those flavorful ground beef empanadas and try the other varieties too.

A friendly guy came over to take our order, and since it was our first time, we told him we were feeling adventurous and asked for recommendations. He didn't hesitate--suggested the pabellón and the patacón, and we went for it. The pabellón was a hearty Venezuelan classic with shredded beef, black beans, rice, and sweet fried plantains--and ours came topped with a fried egg. The beef was super tender and packed with flavor. The patacón? Wild in the best way. It had shredded beef, ham, bacon, cheese (both sliced and grated!), lettuce, tomato, chips, ketchup, and tartar sauce--all sandwiched between two big, crispy fried plantains. Total flavor bomb. Both dishes were HUGE. Either one would've been enough for the two of us, but we shared both and ended up bringing most of the patacón home for a very happy snack tomorrow. The restaurant has a high ceiling and a light, casual vibe with narrow bench-type tables that comfortably seat 4 diners. The chatter was lively with lots of Spanish between the proprietor and his guests. Many were obvious regulars. Definitely a great find. We can't wait to go back!
