Katerine took my order and was very hospitable. She made a good recommendation on the juice I ordered too. The food came out in timely manner and tastes great. I will say it's best to order the pandebono the during morning time lol. The atmosphere is nice as well definitely feel like I stepped into a piece of Colombia. read more

Server put a 20% tip on the receipt without asking. It was for 3 people, no drinks, so no reason to do anything like that. To make matters worse the receipt they gave me to sign had an additional area for a tip. Shady as hell. We will never return and will be sure to tell our Colombian friends as well. read more

Today we wanted to eat Colombian cuisine today and decided to come here. The food was REALLY good. The seasoning is on point. Very savory, meat was tender, rice was cooked perfect. Service needs improvement.. i counted at least 4 servers and NONE approach the table to ask if we needed anything. They came to take the order and to bring the food. No customer service. Ambiance TERRIBLE OMG i love to enjoy my meal quietly or w/ a good conversation BUT They were working on the dj booth (they were cutting wood, sawing etc etc.) it was REALLY LOUD... no respect to the customers. All the tables were looking at each other like: * really cant they do this after they closed * very disappointing experience w/ service and ambiance. Food was excellent today. read more

The place was amazing and worth the drive. Food is delicious, and the atmosphere is just as great. Music was playing while for just a moment you feel like you left Texas. They also have live music at night, which I need to check out. The customer service was okay. I say this because they don't check on you often you have to get the attention of the staff. read more

Muy malo. read more

When we made the reservation, we were never informed that we would be charged $20 per person. After this unpleasant moment, we proceeded to order two glasses with ice. Each glass (plastic) with ice was charged $3. You can bring your own drink, as they don't sell alcohol, but the amount they charge for a small plastic cup with ice is absurd. The food wasn't anything special. The service also left much to be desired. Unfortunately, my husband woke up the next day vomiting and repeating the same food all day. We don't plan on eating at this restaurant again. read more

Always liked this place. My wife is Colombian so we are pretty picky. Beans are great. Bandeja Paisa is good. Jugu de maracuya is perfect, and byob says us a ton. read more

The food was way too OVERPRICED, they charged us $3 for plastic cups with NO ICE on it... The drinks were overpriced as well, $7 for a small drink? Lord. Be aware to pay $25 cover if there's live music-ish/karaoke (the guys did a decent job entertaining)... the servers where nice but if you don't know spanish, don't even try Mary! If you are new in DFW watch out for this specific place bc they may add fees you don't recognize at first. Food wasn't even that good, average. Good thing is BYOB, still too overpriced. read more

I was in Dallas and visiting with friends, one of whom is of Colombian decent. We wanted takeout and we were super happy when we stumbled upon this Colombian spot in her area. Then the food arrived and I was not happy any longer. I was so disappointed in pretty much everything but most of all the pollo saltado. Peruvian food is my favorite and saltado is my favorite dish. Their saltado was not at all good. For the most part the food ranged from bland to not very good. Next time I'm in the area I will not give this place another chance and I probably would have also given them a one-star review but I hate takeout and didn't have the opportunity to be treaded badly by the employees here lol. read more

Went for the 1st time today. We got only appetizers or small plates. Our absolute favorite was the papa rellena. It was well seasoned and full of flavor . It was filled with chicken. We also liked the pastelito de Yuca filled with beef. I saw people of all ages but it seemed like later that night they would have a DJ. Not sure if that means there is dancing late night. Lots of Colombians so Zim thinking that is a good sign. I plan to go back. read more

This is the second time I order from this place trying to give them a second opportunity because the first time I order from here the portions were too small and prices were high, but today I can confirm I will no longer order from here since there's one better option than them that sells bigger portions, better price and better service and it's called el portal just in case someone is looking for another Colombian food place. They don't even care or follow the instruction when you order food and instead of doing something better or try to improve, they're just loosing customers and don't care what people say about their service. read more

This place is terrible. The person who greeted us was friendly. Everything was total BS after that. Terrible (non-existent) service by the waitress. Long wait just for the appetizers (greasy empanadas). Then bottled water and canned soda with a serious upcharge. Someone else brought our entrées. The food was BAD. Dry, reheated, made with low quality cuts of beef meant for dog food, small portions, tostones made with semi-rippened plantains (goes to show that they give zero f's), chewy, etc. Waitress never came by to do refills, ask whether everything was okay, or whether we needed anything else. I tried to make eye contact with anyone in there for 12 minutes AFTER eating to get our check. I had to go to the counter to ask for it. Then these "ppl" very non chalantly added an 18% service fee so that we couldn't tip accordingly. I am so embarrassed to have brought my wife here. A few hours later she became SICK!! I wish I would have read the reviews after seeing all the ads. They SPAM this business incessantly on social media. They rely on luring in new unsuspecting customers as opposed to building a clientele. The perfect place to ruin the delicious flavors of a country. I ordered empanadas they served me reheated with the thick dough and a hard toast that hurts to chew, with a chili pepper (Ají) chopped into large ordinary pieces tasted old, some cheese bread with a moldy flavor, an arepa with meats on top over cooked, not good, taste old. Any dish was fresh at all, It was overheated and the flavors nothing to do with Colombia, high prices, delayed service, not fresh food. Customer service is the only good thing. Us a Colombian known my food very well I can't recommend this restaurant, please don't waist your money. Go to El Portal better option. read more

We ate lunch here. A typical small privately owned restaurant, in a strip shopping center in Addison. They have done the best they can to create a Colombian ambiance - in an everyday sort of way. Empty Coffee burlap bags cover the walls, plenty of Colombian flags and soccer jerseys. The menu has quite a variety. Appetizers might seem a little pricey - they are priced each piece, but they are generous size and well made. A variety of fruit juices are offered, we tried several and they were all great tasting and good size large glassfuls. The main meals were tasty, better than ordinary fare. Portions were generous. Chicharon is delightful, sausage flavorful, arroz con pollo better than most. Table service was polite and attentive, without being bothersome. However, there are some odd things to note - they add an 18% gratuity automatically to the bill, regardless of group size - this can be a trap because the ticket still has a "Tip" line for you to add more. The automatic gratuity is not hidden, it is listed next to the tax, etc, but you might not notice. Also a promo on the table tells of a free flan desert with meals over $50, but the fine print says cash orders only. Again, wierd! All in all, we will be back, a pretty good experience. read more

We stumbled upon this place serendipitously during one of the worst winter storms we had in Dallas- February 2021. We were greeted as if we were family and were treated as such. The food was delicious! We tried different Colombian and Peruvian flavors - not being from either, I can't say how authentic the food was, but it sure was good! They messed up our order a little bit, no big deal. They fixed it. I can with certainty we will not be coming for any evening disco dancing - to each his own, but I will be coming back for another meal or two. read more

So this is the first time ever going to a Colombian restaurant. First off we went on a Friday after an event and they had music playing which isn't bad. The problem was the fact that the music was EXTREMELY loud. We asked them to turn it down a little but they would for just a little then raise it back up. Then it took a very long time to get our food when they weren't that packed. The DJ playing wasn't bad but damn I left with my ears bleeding. Not only did the waitress forget our waters but it took an hour to get my damn chicken! Everyone in our table finished eating before we even got our food. So yes I will get pissed especially when I hadn't eaten and I'm watching everyone eat. I guess they had to go kill the damn chicken. My review is... was the chicken That good? I mean it was ok but I've had better. Was the beans good yes. Was the other stuff good, Yeah. Either way it took too long. Overall not that bad but wasn't worth the wait. Then wen we asked if they had something that wouldn't take a year to make she simply said no. read more

Well the food is excellent.....but the attitude of management needs improvement. First I dined in a couple of years ago and recieved some terrible service from racist waitress....I called the owner and was given a free meal on my next visit...waitress was still there and still racist. I went back today and as I entered I was told that I needed a mask...which was fine due to the outbreak..but after getting a mask from my truck and entering the restaurant I noticed that none of the Hispanics had mask!!! I asked the manager why was I the only one required to wear a mask and his response was that they were eating. I have made almost 200 thousand a year for the last 15 years and cant understand why would these people would look down on me due to the hie of my skin. I was recommended this place as having "buena comida" (good food). I went with my mother, and we were both disappointed with the food! I had mondongo soup and some were long uncut cold chunks, which means they didn't thawed them out to prepare them for cooking. The empanadas were crusty, and fair in taste (I've had plenty of empanadas Colombian style in different places and they have been superior). The chicken milanesa my mother ordered was not that good (I've eaten milanesa in different Latin food restaurants and they have been above in taste and presentation). I rate the food of Las Palmas as mid range (2 1/2 stars out 5). The service was good though! Also very disappointing was that this restaurant automatically charges a 20% fee for tip (management at this place imposes this tip percentage on the receipts), and they expect the customers to pay an extra tip percentage printed on the receipt that they keep, to which I gladly wrote INCLUIDO (included). I don't like deceiving or tricking patrons with this kind of dared impositions by many customer service businesses. I've worked many years in the customer service industry and it makes me sick how greedy the culture has become in general. It is disgusting to see and feel how many of these service businesses impose high percentage tip fees and want extra tips above those imposed. All in all, the prices on this restaurant are high in comparison to other Colombian and Latin food restaurants I've eaten at, with much better food quality, some even with gourmet food and less expensive!!!! I won't go back to eat at Las Palmas restaurant, nor either order food online from this place!!!! This place lost me as a loyal customer I could have become. I don't recommend and won't recommend this place!!!!!!!!!! read more

We were invited here by a friend for a night out of dancing and dinning and we decided to give it a chance. We had a lot of fun! The food was amazing; way better than other Colombian restaurants we've visited before. And the service was great as well. The place was packed so the wait was reasonable. They do not serve liquor but will allow you to bring your own. The music was mostly Salsa with a bit of every other latin tastes on the side. The place is a bit small but did not feel cramped and the ambience was very nice. I would deffinitely recomend this place and will be back. read more

Decided to give this place another chance for Sunday lunch and sadly, they have not been able to get their act in order. This place truly suffers an identity crisis in that they don't know if they want to be a BYOB nightclub, a restaurant or something in between. The only good part of our meal was a live female singer they had performing yesterday. She truly livened up the mood, but her wonderful music cannot fix the terrible food quality and service. Pan de bono - microwaved. Empanadas were good. Carne asada - when we asked what cut of steak it was, the girl responded with "beef". Well, it was like eating a piece of leather. Asked for skirt steak or ribeye - Nope, not available. Only my wife enjoyed her meal - the sobrebarriga. I had the breaded pork cutlet - arrived at the table dripping in oil, and I actually had to soak up the oil with a napkin. Service? Absolutely terrible. Asking for hot sauce was like asking for free food. Water for the table? Nope, upcharge only to bottle service. Waitress never came by to check and see how we were doing after meals were served or if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Ultimately took over 10 mins to get our check because the waitresses have to move the place's furniture around. The way these ladies were moving, my pet turtle could surely beat them in a race. While there isn't an abundance of Colombian restaurants in the DFW area, thisis clearly at the bottom of the list. read more

Bad customer service, me and my family went to eat at 9:15 and restaurant was supposed to close at 10pm, servers didn't want to sell us food to eat there cause they were lazy and didn't want to work anymore even though restaurant closes at 10 and it's their job to serve people until that time. They only sold us the food to go and the meat was raw and we were missing some of the food we had already paid. I do not recommend this place AT ALL! read more

I can't even do a review on the food because they literally would not serve us. My friend and I (both African American females) came into this establishment, they greeted us and seated us at a table and literally never came back. They ignored our entire existence, we waited for about 20 minutes just to see if it was all in our heads but two sets of people came in after us and they already had drinks and their orders taken. I think it's safe to say that they do not treat people of different races equally here and I do NOT recommend, and we will never be coming back. read more
